President Trump sat down for an extensive interview with Dasha Burns of Politico. Despite the ideological outlook of Politico, the interview itself was remarkably absent of combative antagonism. The result is a good review of the current positions of President Trump as they relate to the rest of the world.
The Ukraine-Russia conflict is the immediate issue that is discussed within the interview. President Trump answers some direct questions about who is currently most responsible for continuing the conflict and is asked his opinion directly on Ukraine not holding elections.
President Trump notes Russian President Vladimir Putin is in the strongest position within the conflict and carries the strongest leverage into any ceasefire negotiations. Trump also frames the need for the bloodshed to end with a much greater sense of urgency than any of the EU leaders or Zelenskyy. Additionally sharing the opinion that Ukraine needs to have an election to showcase the will of the Ukrainian people in the leadership of Volodymyr Zelenskyy. WATCH:

The words following “Flexible Realism” and “Primacy of Nations” are words I have been praying that I would hear from any administration. The idea of a peaceful and prosperous future depends on abiding by such a policy. While Trump has completely freaked me out by his words and actions on a couple of occasions, the net result of what actually happens has been impressive. There are a couple of voices that I’ve read or listened to over the last year or so that helped me see things from angles that I hadn’t heard of or considered. The folks at Promethean Action have a very refreshing viewpoint, and Alex Krainer has provided some excellent insight in the many podcasts he has appeared on. Seeing things like this gives me hope for the first time in a long time. May God make it so.

Operation Cassandra
Amen.
He speaks his mind and damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead! No one else does that like Trump and he built his core support on the premise that most people know when someone is blowing smoke us their ass!
This President doesn’t blow smoke…he is the fire!
…flank speed not full speed…
Yep. I found strength in you post.
Zelenskyy is the main obstacle to peace. The parts I liked best from what Trump said were:
Z is an installed operative…he isn’t normal….so don’t expect normal interaction
Russia makes the point of Zelensky not being an elected leader—continuously!
It’s Victoria Nuland’s war….put her front and center…
The Institute for the Study of War.
(she had a few helpers)….
….millions dead…is that funny Victoria?
Are you happy…?
….withdraw all support to Ukraine…restock our tomahawks…we wouldn’t last three weeks against china
…how many dead would it take to satisfy you, Victoria?
Victoria is NEVER happy. She has a perpetual and ever-present scowl on her face.
And could scare a buzzard off of a meat wagon.
Putin and Trump has already won with their Ukraine peace deal. Zelinsky rejects the peace deal and President Trump no longer supports Ukraine. Putin gets what he wanted in the first place.
‘Trump also frames the need for the bloodshed to end with a much greater sense of urgency than any of the EU leaders or Zelenskyy.’
But Trump could have ended the bloodshed at any time since January 20, simply by cutting off all US military/intel support.
End support: Ukraine waves white flag: Over.
Why hasn’t he?
Remember this commentary published by Ted Carpenter in August 2017?
Too bad most Americans ignored its message back then…

NATO and a War Foretold

“Stoltenberg could have reflected on the consequences of all the broken promises by Western officials that NATO would not expand eastward. Secretary of State James Baker’s famous assurance to Soviet President Gorbachev was just one example. Declassified U.S., Soviet, German, British and French documents posted by the National Security Archive reveal multiple assurances by Western leaders to Gorbachev and other Soviet officials throughout the process of German unification in 1990 and 1991. “
Dasha Burns is clearly biased mess.
Trump is overly generous for giving even a moment’s notice to her.
It is completely unimaginable that his answers will have any impact on the one-sided way Politico reports the news. Sad.
