At a certain point facilitating an extension to conflict becomes an enabling of killing. It appears that President Trump has reached the end of his support for delivering mechanisms of war.

According to media reports, President Trump has decided not to sell Tomahawk missiles to NATO for transfer to Ukraine. Nothing good can come from putting more offensive weapons into the conflict other than more bloodshed.
The expressed position of the White House is to freeze the Ukraine war at current “property lines” of control, and enter negotiations to stop fighting. Toward that end, it appears President Trump is no longer willing to facilitate expanded conflict.
This position comes after an extended two-hour conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, and also a meeting on Friday with Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
AXIOS – President Trump told Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in a tense meeting on Friday that he doesn’t intend to provide long-range Tomahawk missiles, at least for now, two sources briefed on the meeting tell Axios.
He stressed that the current U.S. proposal for a diplomatic solution is for the war to end with the front lines frozen in place — a difficult proposition for Ukraine to accept.
Zelensky’s number one priority from the visit was to get commitments from Trump not just on Tomahawks but on a variety of weapons systems Ukraine wishes to obtain, his chief of staff told Axios ahead of the meeting. Trump offered no such commitments.

Hopefully, President Trump’s approach in the Middle East conflict has provided him enough armor to withstand the onslaught that will follow from the EU/NATO intelligence community and industrial war machine. President Trump wants peace, but peace is against the economic interests of European leaders.
The EU/NATO coalition will likely keep supporting Zelenskyy’s goals; however, President Trump has solidified his position on the cornerstone of peace – stop the killing.
If Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and President Trump come to terms in Budapest, Hungary, it will be interesting to see how the unwillingness of Zelenskyy/NATO to negotiate peace plays out.
The economic leverage of President Trump over the EU is somewhat weaker than before. The EU economy is contracting, which would normally create leverage; however, the EU economic recovery plan appears to include war with Russia. Things will be interesting over the next few weeks.

When Trump is nice to his/our enemies, it shows he’s in negotiations with them to work a deal on something important and he knows not being nice to an opponent under those circumstances is detrimental to success.

I think Trump’s economic pressure on Putin is working. Trump is a master of using leverage to get the outcomes he wants. Putin didn’t play ball with Trump when he could have and should have and so Trump upped the pressure by continuing to supply military weapons and support to Ukraine. Russian oil refineries were bombed. Europe stopped buying Russian oil. Now India will stop buying Russian oil too. Europe was forced to step up and contribute more to the war effort. All of these things combined are hitting Russia where it hurts. Trump doesn’t want war casualties and economic pressure is a way of fighting the war that spares the soldiers. At least this is how the situation looks to me.
Russia celebrates somber “Victory Day” so that its people will never forget what War is, and what it costs. Everyone including Putin carries a black-and-white photograph of their member of the “Ghost Regiment.”

There is no way that Putin will accept anything less than recognition of the four regions that voted to become part of Russia, be considered Russian territory. And that Ukraine become non-militarized and serve as a buffer between NATO and Russia. This is non negotiable; Russian troops are advancing while Ukrainian defenses are crumbling. Why would Putin accept anything less?
More likely, Putin told Trump on that phone call which European cities would be attacked if the Tomahawks were sent.
When he kicks the stool out from under Zelensky, we’ll be getting somewhere.

I’ve been reading a lot today about President Trump blowing up the UN’s Great Carbon Tax Caper. The President’s team was fierce in their opposition to the scheme, completely overwhelming the Global Deep State and their trillions of dollars in illicit funding.
That would be the exact same Global Deep State that is obstructing President Trump’s efforts to end the war against Russia.
It’s highly likely that we will see our President escalate against these grifters, monsters and war mongers with regards to Russia in the coming days and weeks. The signs are promising.

But yes, the deep state controls this war and there seems to be little Trump can do about it.
I prefer to think that Trump gave the “Ukraine” the chance to come to a fair settlement and they refused. Trump then worked directly with Putin who was apparently having trouble seeing eye to eye on the details of final borders or rare earth or BRICS or whatever.
Looks like the tomahawks may have better focused their efforts to come to an agreement.

From what I’ve read Trump and Putin are pretty much on the same page but he’s stuck dealing with a recalcitrant Zelensky, a congress that in the majority supports Ukraine, the EU and some NATO that want to continue the war, etc. all while wanting to avoid the view that he’s abandoning Ukraine/throwing them to the wolves. I don’t know how he’ll pull it off…I suspect by holding his position as long as he can waiting for Ukraine to come to terms that this is the best deal they are going to get. I’m appalled at all the comments I read suggesting that Ukraine is worth WW3 and that we should align with the EU/WEF agenda to force regime change in Russia…which to me is madness and contrary to the MAGA agenda.
