According to Reuters, “Syrian rebels announced they gained full control over the key city of Homs early on Sunday after only a day of fighting, leaving President Bashar al-Assad’s 24-year rule dangling by a thread as insurgents marched on the capital, Damascus.”
Responding to the situation on the ground, President Elect Donald Trump says we should stay out of it.

That’s ‘really stupid’ in the original quote, mind you
Which they didn’t have to try too hard to do.
Obama looking stupid is not a challenge
History will not be kind to Manchurian Candidate, foreign-born, Barry Soetoro. He of the multitude of Socal Security numbers, secret foreign travel, hidden academic records, fake birth certificate, and dubious associates all scream of Deep State operative.
Are you sure, Ramet? I mean your post would seem to indicate that the “Light Giver” was not, ah, um, what he portrayed to be for so many years because it is perfectly normal, isn’t it, to create fake birth certificates for yourself AND your “children,” including social security numbers, et al?
Jeesh! For a moment there I had a flickering thought that the man of “fundamental change” and continuous BS, coupled with outright political manipulations of entire countries around the world for the financial good of himself was bad, or something.
Craig Murray – The End of Pluralism in the Middle East
“A truly seismic change in the Middle East appears to be happening very fast. At its heart is a devil’s bargain – Turkey and the Gulf States accept the annihilation of the Palestinian nation and creation of a Greater Israel, in return for the annihilation of the Shia minorities of Syria and Lebanon and the imposition of Salafism across the Eastern Arab world:

Yep, Shia protects Christians, Sunni beheads them.
Biden will figure out a way to screw this up.

“Christians in Syria are more vulnerable than ever before with the government in danger of collapsing. The Syrian government has been the one to protect minority groups, including Christians. If the Syrian government were to lose power to the Islamic State, not only would there be hundreds of thousands more refugees, but tens and tens of thousands more would be slaughtered by ISIS. Russian President Vladimir Putin’s policies to uphold Syria’s government might save Christian lives. Pray for the Christians in Syria.”
– Rev. Franklin Graham (Sep 30, 2015)
So why is the U.S. complaining about Russia for bombarding these broad alliance of hardline Islamist groups, which includes both Jabhat al-Nusra and Ahrar al-Sham? What is most embarrassing for the U.S. is that these seized the very weapons from U.S.-supplied so-called secular rebels as a result of Americas botched train-and-supply program. The Russians are basically trying to correct Obama’s stupid mistakes. America cant complain because its al Qaeda and thats who this war is supposed to be against. It is for this reason I say For Putin I loved and Obama I hated!”

And nothing has really changed since then. Pray for the Christians as it looks like they will be doomed.

Hahaha…
Wise one…
I learned about 30 years ago that when nations that are mostly Islamic, or Muslim, or Hindu, or whatever, call others in live in their nation but do not identify as the main religion of the country they live in, they are referred to as “christian”. This does NOT mean that the “christian” has accepted Jesus as Lord. These folks could be non-believers in Jesus and just ppl that live their everyday lives in the country they are in, much like here in the USA where there are ppl who have not accepted Jesus as Lord but live their lives in the manner as they can. I seriously believe that Franklin Graham does not understand that when the Christian term is used, it does not NECESSARILY mean that they are believers in Jesus. That being said, I DO believe that God has Jesus followers in every country around the world….possibly hidden. And I also believe that He knows them and how to protect them from harm.
I have issues with Franklin Graham, but he’s spent a fair amount of time in Lebanon and the region and probably knows more than you might think.
Orthodox Metropolitan of Aleppo: We continue our ministry in Aleppo despite death threats
https://spzh.eu/en/news/83329-antiochian-hierarch-we-continue-our-ministry-in-aleppo-despite-threats
On December 1, 2024, reports emerged that terrorists attacking Aleppo are planning to find and behead Metropolitan Ephraim.
Metropolitan Ephraim (Maalouli) of Aleppo and Iskenderun, a hierarch of the Antiochian Orthodox Church – the largest Christian community in Syria – delivered a pastoral message to his flock in Aleppo:
“…our beloved children in Aleppo, we remain here, in Aleppo, with our flock in all circumstances – from the most difficult to the most joyful. This is our pastoral ministry, and we will steadfastly continue to fulfill it. In times of need, we will be your support, so do not hesitate to reach out to us directly.
We assure you that prayers in our churches will continue as circumstances and available means allow. In prayer, dear ones, we cast our burdens upon God and trust in Him. Therefore, I urge you: pray without ceasing! Let us patiently follow Christ’s path to the cross, until we rise with Him in His Resurrection! May the intercession of St. Simeon the Stylite, the patron of the Aleppo Diocese, be with you always!”…
✝️ ✝️ 🙏🙏🙏Praying 🙏🙏✝️✝️
Syria has one of the oldest if not the oldest Christian population on earth.
Georgia also has a very long history of Christian belief and practice.
Could it be that within the Islamic states, the word “Christian” is used as their own Politically Correct term for an Infidel?
No
The oldest community of Christendom is in Syria. There may be nominal believers among them but much of the folks that live there are Christ followers.
Rootin for Putin !
They’re chopping heads and taking slaves. If Assad falls Damascus streets will run red with the blood of the Syrian Christians.
PS Mr President – the US is already involved.
Islam has not changed at all. It is the same today as it was the day Muhammad died. Islam will never change, it can never change. The Koran as was later (very messily) compiled ensures this.
As soon as Muhammad felt his army was big enough, he started killing and enslaving all the Jews and Christians in the middle east. This practice continued for centuries, long after Mohammad’s death, so that by the time of the first Crusades the bulk of Christendom was hunkered down in Western Europe. Christianity had by then been virtually erased from all of the middle east, north Africa, Asia, and eastern Europe. “Erased” meaning muslims had by then slaughtered Christians in countless numbers, destroyed all their churches or converted them to mosques, and stole their lands.
Christianity was once the savior of the Western world from the ravages of Islam. Now there is little Christianity in the West. What remains is gutted, isolated, struggling just to hold on. It is a weak Christianity with no real voice in public policy, no real representation in government, no real influence over the cultures it inhabits. Only Israel now really fights Islam and is condemned for it, by the left and even some on the right ..
Where are you Otho de Lagery?

Terrorists we support.
With all due respect, Mr President, we are already so terribly wrongfully involved.
Godspeed your efforts to get us out, hopefully without sacrificing Syria in the process.
I think Syria could be the next Afghanistan in that it could become led by wack-a-doo Islamic extremists. Taliban, ISIS, Al Qaida–they all are brutal, and if Assad falls, this same stone-age extremism will lead Syria–not a great development for Israel.
The zionists fully support this. They attacked Hezbollah and have been bombing in Syria. They want the wack a doos to take out Assad.
Syria stands in the of The American/Israeli pipeline.
Syria is the channel for Russian oil.
Isreal is bombing the Assad troops…
Assad is fighting the terrorists.
Wouldn’t that mean Israel is fighting
with/for the terrorists?
🤔
Yes, and it’s nothing new, did same in 2017 and 2018, including creating small pockets on isr border were jihadi’s “fighting assad” could come for medical assistance to be patched up and returned to the ‘the fight’. Same duplicitous game as usa’s “al quada is on our side in syria”, and the turks use of anyone and everyone under the sun for their own aims.
Israel often backs islamic terrorists in other countries because destabilizing those countries benefits them. Israel is often the bad guy it’s just that they have enemies that are worse than them.
Assad has aligned his gov’t with Iran and Russia against Israel for a very long time.
Assad reportedly has approached Israel for military support against the rebel groups. The counter-demand from Israel was to expel all Iranians including all militias.
Syrian opposition groups are mainly funded by Turkey. The Russian Air Force has assisted Syrian forces in responding to HTS.
Kurdish groups are fighting many of the Turkish funded rebel groups.
The whole area is one big mess. But its reach extends well beyond the locals – as does American involvement courtesy of Obama/Hillary lest anyone forget all the surface to air systems moved to Libya and subsequently to Syrian rebel groups. Systems that by all accounts have been used against American aviators resulting in at least 11 fatalities.
I am no fan of Israel having seen some info not available here (in the sense of “this is not what allies do”), but the moral and real politic cases remain in place.
A lotta cross-cutting interests in play here. PDJT’s instincts to let this play out, for the moment, strike me as prudent. On the flip side, these are exactly the conditions that inevitably lead to terrorist sanctuaries.
On the whole, an “interesting” dynamic in play with Iran lying at the epicenter of it all.
Yup. And guess who apologized to Israel for accidentally attacking their territory? ISIS did.

Can’t be biting the hand that feeds them.

Yup involved deeply, partially if not mostly because of Trump not getting the hell out, and letting the saa secure the east and south and ne, instead he left a protected area for the radicals to gather and train along with our continued funding. Heck of a job, and now wants to pretend like he’s got no responsibility. What a joke.
So, you consider the reports to not be accurate that President Trump ordered the troops out of Syria and the military officers lied to him and said it was done.
Do you have sources for your post?
Which sounds more likely? He relented to pressure from Israel and neocons to stay and do their bidding occupying eastern Syria, or that he explicitly gave orders to leave, and orders from the commander in chief were flat ignored for 18mo while the presence was expanded, and ‘he just didn’t know’, and was ‘lied too ‘ that we were leaving. Meanwhile at the same time it was fully public knowledge we weren’t leaving but expanding and setting up more entrenched bases if anything. The second implies he’s a hapless fool who got lied to and ignored the issue while the truth was staring everyone else in the face. The first implies that he was rolled again by neocon pressures and put American citizen interests second. Any way you slice it to me it’s bad. I find the first far more convincing and in line with past and present actions, but dear lord help us if it’s the second.
And just think, Israel is right there and could offer the Syrian Christians asylum, couldn’t it?
Just like any compassionate country would.
Couldn’t it?
Nah…they are waiting to totally break the Lebanon
cease fire so they can kill more Lebanese Christians.
💁♀️
That ceasefire is as good as gone.
Pray for the Lebanese.
After WW1 and the breakup of the Ottoman empire, the French set up the Alawites as the dominant ethno-religious group in Syria. Many Alawites had worked with the French military and colonial government and the Alawites were less radicalized than the other groups. Alawites have been in control of Syria ever since.
If Assad’s Alawite regime falls it will be replaced with hard-core jihadis (sponsored by Turkey and the Gulf states) and Shiite militias (sponsored by Iran.) They will compete to wipe each other out and also wipe out all the many ethnic and religious minorities in Syria (including Christians, Druze, Kurds, Yazidis). There will also be another big surge of refugees out of Syria.
So, according to the CIA and DIA’s own documents if Russia has lost 600,000 soldiers fighting in Ukraine then Ukraine losses total 4.8 Million dead.
Remember the young Massachusetts National Guardman being prosecuted for leaking multiple top secret classified CIA and DIA documents online that revealed Ukraine was losing men at a rate of eight to every one Russian!
For some reason people keep pretending that they don’t know something!
I have told both the CIA and DIA a million times not to exaggerate.
Macgregor states its Ukraine who has lost 600K+ troops. Maybe PT has better info, but I think he’s mistake on this.
Macgregor also claims that Israel is committing genocide.
Which the zionists are.
how can you tell which are the zionists and which are just regular Israelis, railer?
The Kahanist faction, Ben Gvir and others (whose aim is a Greater Israel that runs from the Nile to the Euphrates and eats up Lebanon, parts of Syria, Jordan, Iraq, and Egypt) versus the regular Israelis who just want to live in peace?
There are IDF units wearing patches with the Greater Israel map.

https://www.middleeastmonitor.com/20240619-idf-soldier-wears-greater-israel-badge-sparking-angry-reaction/
thx for that explanation, Alex
You can tell by the ones doing the bombings, I guess.
20,000 dead women and children . . .
The problem with this is that muslims hide behind women and children. It’s a battle strategy. They also store weapons in schools and hospitals and mosques. Of course civilians will be killed.
In the case of Gaza, how many of those civilians support Hamas and celebrated the murders, rapes, and hostage taking of Oct 7? Probably 90% of them.
I’m not saying Israel is good – they cause all manner of grief to the region with their meddling see Lebanon and Syria, but what else can they do about Hamas?
What else can they do about Hamas?
How about stop funding it and giving it operational support?
Isreal created Hamas.
Netanhayu had millions in cash walked across the Gaza border to rescue it when it looked to be failing, years ago.
It was all about disempowering Fatah, and keeping the West Bank, especially under control. Open air prison.

Gazans aren’t allowed guns nor armaments(Israeli blockade) so all they have are homes, schools, mosques, etc to store their weapons. The human shield stuff is IDF propaganda and an excuse to bomb civilians indiscriminately.
The whole world is saying it…..
Wonder why….🤔
The Whole World is saying the same.

He’s right.
Nine months ago McGregor said Ukraine had 700KIA and 100K amputees. Then he seemed to walk it back a bit.
We do know that Russia has used artillery at a rate of 4x to 8x as much as Ukraine, including using drones, prisoners (volunteers), and a tightly integrated air defense system. Twice they used tunnels / sewers to sneak behind enemy lines for sneal attacks. We also know Ukraine is pulling 40- and 50-year-old men off the street, training them for one to two weeks, then throwing them into the meat grinder. Not a good baseline.
There is a ton of information missing in that post, key among that being, who is sponsoring the jihadists (“opposition fighters”)
Turkey is.

If that’s true and Turkey participated in the DOHA meeting, the regional stakeholders need to sort it out. I agree with PDJT to stay out of it particularly if any of the DOHA countries are duplicitous.
Yes, I was very surprised to learn yesterday that Turkey is very much involved in Syria.
“It is soothing to the heart to abuse England and France for interposing to save the Ottoman Empire from the destruction it has so richly deserved for a thousand years. It hurts my vanity to see these pagans refuse to eat of food that has been cooked for us; or to eat from a dish we have eaten from; or to drink from a goatskin which we have polluted with our Christian lips, except by filtering the water through a rag which they put over the mouth of it or through a sponge!
I never disliked a Chinaman as I do these degraded Turks and Arabs, and when Russia is ready to war with them again, I hope England and France (and America) will not find it good breeding nor good judgment to interfere.”
– Mark Twain
love it … good ol’ Mark
They want the borders of the former Ottoman empire restored. If Syria falls, according to some treaty going back to around 1920-30 (IIRC) they get the land back.

Under Obama the US funded, armed and trained “anti-Assad freedom fighters” aka jihadis affiliated with ISIS.
Before the US vs Russia proxy war in Ukraine there was the US vs Russia proxy war in Syria. Russia supports Assad. US supports groups that oppose Assad.
The US is already involved and has been since Hillary tried to overthrow Assad in the Arab Spring.
One thing Trump is saying is we should STOP being so involved, back away, and let the situation run its course.
If the US stopped intervening to undermine Assad, Assad will probably be able to regain control. Syria will remain a dictatorship but it will be a stable, non-expansionist, economically viable dictatorship. It is the least-bad option.
(But multiple big western oil companies might lose their share of Syria’s eastern oil fields that the US military has been protecting with US boots-on-ground for the past 10+ years)
Some dated history that nonetheless places things in perspective.

Amen to that. I liked that Tulsi Gabbard went over there to find out what was really going on, because she did not trust what she was being told.
yep – and that’s why she’s tagged as a “puppet of Putin”
she went against the “7 nations in 5 years crew”
note photo of John McCain upthread
i guess the fools in the senate won’t have to worry about tulsi blabbing to assad now.
not that she would.
Putin has lost BIG in Syria. His idiotic adventure in Ukraine has sucked up all his assets – he emptied what was left at Khammemim airbase and evacuated as many troops as he could the past few weeks. Syria is GONE to Iran, Russia, and Hezbollah. No more arms transits no more attacks on Israel.
Iran lies naked and exposed after Israel punched out its entire air defense network. Russia will not be coming to help Iran.
Trump is walking into position “A” in the Middle East. Thanks to Putin’s stratgic errors and Israel’s incredible military, he can dictate terms to the Mullahs. The American troops supporting the Kurds in idlib are still necessary to keep Erdogan somewhat under control. Turkey is effectively inheriting control of Syria.
Expect pipeline projects from Qatar and Israel to ramp up in the next 2-3 years, transiting through Syria and Turkey to Europe. That spells the end of Putin’s gas hegemon in Europe.
This is a huge positive fir the US and Israel. Russia is no longer relevant in the Great game.
You think Russia is going to give up on their Syrian naval base? Doubt it.
Something about this whole story stinks.
It stinks of plots, one of which to give Russia a strategic defeat on the world stage.
I believe it is Russia’s only warm water port. If so, they may not give this up so willingly. Still, the Kremlin has bigger fish to fry in Ukraine….
The Russian Federation has another warm water port, in Crimea.
Being an actual National security matter for the Russian Federation I would not expect them to just give up either of them in any circumstance.
They may not have much of an option soon enough if the bleeding isn’t slowed, stopped in the next few days, we’ll see. I noticed reports they were pulling one of there s400’s that was deployed in the northern hills back was being re-deployed back to Latakia and airbase area yesterday, suggesting to me they probably expect things to get worse.
As for other options beyond the blacksea, they did tentatively ink a deal with Sudan for a small port (up to 4 ships and 1500 personnel) on the red sea, but then quickly after regime change attempt #397 magically kicked off there, and it hasn’t been ratified yet. Discussions continued this summer at st.pete forum, apparently SAR/SAF wants deal to include more weapons support where as initially it was sketched out as mostly economic. Either way it’s not something available in the short term but it’s still hanging out there as an option.
“No more arms transits no more attacks on Israel.”
For now.
Why is it a positive for the US?
Under President Trump we will drill baby drill, energy here will be incredibly cheap, and we will return to being a net energy exporter very quickly.
Russia, which is our natural ally against the Crown and the City, can always sell to energy thirsty China.
MBS already significantly diversified the Saudi economy. So ko problems there.
But how does this actually impact the US? Why should we care about the Middle East?
As President Trump just set out,
Not our circus, not our monkey.
Get all US troops out of the way, offer asylum and refuge to the Syrian Christians facing persecution and death, and as for the rest, let them (or God) sort themselves out.
BTW, Russia, China, and Iran have all moved assets out of the way (Iran) and/or told their citizes to get the hell out of Syria ASAP (Russia, China).
Do you think maybe they know something is coming?
Something that might produce some radioactive fallout? Perhaps?
If a tactical nuke exploded among the convergence of ISIS (cough, CIA) forces at the boundaries of Damascus, what happens from there?
Hazel is not nuclear. No fallout.
And test launch reportedly turned target to
dust. Dust. And test launch did not have any payload.
As I read and heard..send a few Hazel to clean
house at same time, results would be same
damage as nuke…just without the mess of fallout.
🤷♂️🤷♀️
Oreshnik (Hazel) isn’t of much use here imho, cool and useful weapon, but it’s not something you use to take out moving columns of people\troops even if it were a dense one, much less a largely dispersed and mobile force increasingly mixed in with civilians. It’s great for an airbase, bunker hq complex, a fortified base, or a manufacture’s industrial campus, an aegis ashore facility, or anything else that’s largely static and worth the juice\cost of the missile (which isn’t cheap and for which there are few atm).
I can’t think of anything really worth hitting in Syria at the moment with such unless all the commanders etc are gonna be nice and gather in one general location for awhile, but even then a kinzal, or other munitions would strike me as more cost effective.
yeah….your right.
Kinzhal would work,
and cost effective.

Okay, that statement has a surface meaning and it also has an effect on the state of play, like a chess move would. Sure he means it. But why did he announce it so emphatically? Because he wanted to cause various players to make certain inferences about what he will do in office. Those inferences are either the correct inferences about what he will do or the incorrect inferences.

And some are even from Ukraine.

actually been photographed🤣🤣

“A truly seismic change in the Middle East appears to be happening very fast. At its heart is a devil’s bargain – Turkey and the Gulf States accept the annihilation of the Palestinian nation and creation of a Greater Israel, in return for the annihilation of the Shia minorities of Syria and Lebanon and the imposition of Salafism across the Eastern Arab world.”
The day after the ceasefire with Lebanon, this happens. The Greater Israel agenda is alive and well. Looks like the Palestinians will have to move out soon. Romania, Georgia, France, UK, Germany, Ukraine of course, many nations highly unstable. And including the US, very tricky upcoming six months.
Meanwhile the Greater Israel agenda marches on just fine, thank you very much.
The Deep State guys are smart and not going away any time soon. Nor will Trump be dislodging them. Some long overdue housecleaning? Yes. Substantive reform? We can hope, but let’s see what actually happens.
i seems our CIA and Israel are victorious. Remember, who sleeps with dogs wakes up with fleas. We already used Al-Quaeda before and then the Sunnis brought down the WTC.
How many Christians has the US slaughtered in the last 50 years? We always fund, train, arm muslims to murder, enslave Christians see Syria under BO and Syria now. See Lebanon under Reagan/Bush I, See Iraq under Bush II, see Yugoslavia under Clinton, See Iran under Carter.
It’s almost as if the US and their ally in death the UK want to see Christians slaughtered and the spread of islam worlwide.
With this type of instant analysis of a truly convoluted troubling situation, Pres. Trump may sink his presidency with foreign policy fiascos even before he is sworn in. He is just as responsible for Syria as the duplicitous Erdogan and the nutcase Netanyahu. Not a very auspicious opening gambit. Yes, pray for the poor people of Syria.
When an ISIS like state emerges in control of Syria and threatens American allies Israel and Jordan will the USA then get involved?
The US is involved. So is Israel, and Jordan where ISIS was mostly trained, by US trainers.
I hope not since this is what Israel and the Sunnis in the ME wanted. Let them reap what they sow.
Agree!
Those that stir the pot-should lick the spoon.
By themselves!!!
😡 😡
No
Assad….fighting HTS Terrorists
Israel…fighting Assad troops
Wouldn’t that mean Israel is fighting with the Terrorists?
That Israel has teamed up with the Terrorists?
🤔 🤔 🤔 🤔 🤔 🤔
We need to walk….nah…run from there as fast as possible.
Cut all ties….and get out.
We have no allies…only interests.
Sadly, I suspect “we” are already involved.
Remember that within 48 hours of Biden’s installuration in 2020, a 40+ US military convoy crossed into Syria. That does not happen with only 48 hours of organization, and it indicates the US military was planning an operation against the orders of the sitting President during the period between the election and inauguration.
It also indicates how invested the Western interventionist faction is in Syria. Reentering Syria was the first geopolitical priority of the Biden team.
Now with the Biden team exiting and Trump re-entering, an “unprecedented” uprising is “suddenly” threatening to topple the Assad regime which could potentially throw a big wrench into Trump’s foreign policy efforts comes out of nowhere. Oh, and the mastermind is a man who was once in US military custody.
Suspicious cat is beyond suspicious.
Nor do I buy the argument Russia does not have the capacity to divert military resources from Ukraine. Ukraine is collapsing, and even if it wasn’t Russia could still halt its offensive there to divert forces to Syria without compromising their strategic objectives in Ukraine. I believe the Russians can and will pour resources into Syria immediately.
Remember when the Ukrainians “held off” the Russian invasion in 2022, and how that was sold as a turning point in that conflict? Remember how many times Russia has run out of missiles?
Forgive me if I do not take at face value the reports that Damascus is about fall.
Keeler…..
And it began automatically…as soon as Lebanon
ceasefire announced.
No coincidence.🤷♀️💁

it’s almost as if the WEF one-worlders, aka deep state, continue building their army by taking over both US and Russian military equipment, the US’s acquired through Afghanistan, the Russian stuff via Syria.
The questions are – will China be the highest bidder for both nation’s military equipment and also What could possibly go wrong?
there are now reports online, nothing confirmed yet, that the airplane carrying Assad has either crashed or made an emergency landing.

This is awful. be prepared to see the mass murder of Christians and other religious minorities.
“see the mass murder of Christians”
That’s a forgone conclusion.
Pretty hilarious that Pres. Trump is saying we should stay out of the Syrian conflict.
There are American bases in Syria.
We support/supply/train/direct Sunni extremist groups–just call them ISIS, they are the same, regardless of what they go by now. Al-qaeda/ISIS are now American proxies.
We have bombed and otherwise attacked support forces coming into Syria from Iraq.
Our “ally,” Israel has been bombing and attacking Syrian government forces fighting the ISIS forces.
This is Israel’s strategy to weaken its regional neighbors. They (using American intel/money/weapons/cover) play Islamic factions against each other. Iran is the strongest and most capable regional enemy of Israel. Syria is an ally of Iran.
So, Israel is manipulating/directing the support of ISIS in order to create chaos in its enemy, Syria.
If Trump doesn’t want America involved, it’s quite simple to achieve: forbid the Israelis from supporting ISIS, cease our support of ISIS, withdraw all American assets–human and otherwise–from Syria.
There is zero American interest in Syria.
Nothing to do with MAGA. It’s all MIGA.
Trump can end this nonsense. Here’s hoping he does.

Bad links.
The “rebels” are claiming that they shot down Assad’s plane.
The plane was northbound when it started some unusual moves then disappeared from radar.

Seems that al-Assad cannot be found. Terrorists occupy the airport in Damascus. Lots of panic. Interesting is this section from Hillary Clinton’s State Department emails, quoted on DDGeopolitics:
“The best way to help Israel deal with Iran’s growing nuclear capability is to help the people of Syria overthrow the regime of Bashar Assad…It is the strategic relationship between Iran and…Assad that makes it possible for Iran to undermine Israel’s security.”
“Washington should start expressing its willingness to work with regional allies…train and arm Syrian rebel forces….Then, using the territory in Turkey and possibly Jordan, US diplomats and Pentagon can start strengthening the opposition. It will take time.”
“Victory will not come quickly or easily, but it will come. And the payoff will be substantial. Iran would be strategically isolated….The resulting regime in Syria will see the United States as a friend, not an enemy….”
From ongoing posts about Assad leaving Damascus. The terrorists have announced the fall of Assad and terrorist gangs are looting humanitarian aid designated for the Lebanese and Syrian people from the warehouses of the Sayyidah Zaynab Shrine.
“Syrian Airways (Syrian Government airlines) Ilyushin Il-76T Callsign: SYR9218 departed from Damascus International Airport not long ago.” Later “Syrian Air SYR9218 made a sharp turn before disappearing from Flight Radar.
“Rumors are already circulating that the plane has crashed.”
From Brian Bertelec: “It [what is happening in Syria] is a reminder that the US and its proxies remain the greatest threat to human peace and prosperity on planet Earth today – a potent danger that should not be underestimated.
Not only has the US maintained a large army of terrorists all along Syria’s borders, it has maintained significant control over global information space poisoning entire regions of the planet against their own best interests.”

A couple of those new Russian missiles would slow ’em down.
As Posobiec pointed out, there has been little to no fighting, little to no resistance.
Assad held out against CIA funded rebellion ever since the Clinton’s were running military supplies through Benghazi, only to “collapse” within 14 days, a month after PDJT won the US election?
Either something is rotten in Denmark or deals were made were made under the auspices of MBS exercising his status as the new kingmaker in the ME and it’s all going to turn out okay.
Now I’m thinking back to where Assad had a practice as an opthomologist prior to returning to rule in Syria.
I do believe that was . . . London.
Hmmmm.
Odd that Assad and Karl Marx should have both been happily nestled in the bosom of the Crown?
Just a thought. Very possibly a red herring, but intriguing nonetheless.
MBS?
No they wouldn’t, Oreshnik’s are great for fixed facilities\locations, not roving gangs of largely mobile forces.
The Assad regime has fallen. The Syrian Prime Minister announced that he is staying in Damascus “am ready for the handover procedures”.
Israeli tanks are now moving on the Golan, land grab so far is Al-Quneitra, stay tuned.
Also WH announces another billion to Ukraine.
This is a huge win for the Salafists/ ISIS Islamic jihadists , their sponsors in the Deep State and for Israel…. Russia and Iran are the big losers, with Iran suffering a major loss of face.. Egypt will also be extremely nervous as these Salafists are Muslim Brotherhood supporters as well
Russia can once again expect trouble in Chechenya in the not too distant future.
With everything going on in with Hamas in Palestine and with Hezbollah in Lebanon, the Middle East is in complete cluster fark once again
As William Carr observed in his book in 1956, all of these nations are simply pawns in the game.
Okay, well . . .
The tea leaves are indicating something else.
It seems very possible that things aren’t falling apart, they are falling into place.
We know PDJT has an extremely good relationship with MBS, who now plays THE pivotal role in the ME. We know PDJT has backchannels to Putin via the real generals (the ones who sent Starmer away empty handed a week or two before the US election). We know that at this point (and, I think, for some time), Netanyahu has been doing his bidding. ( Neutra. Nir Oz. Ha. )
Come to find out, this development in Syria was foreshadowed some weeks ago via a certain group of people very connected to Elon Musk. A bit cryptically, but visible in the rear view mirror.
All appearances of chaos to the contrary, I’m suddenly feeling comfy.
YMMV
I think we can agree on one thing… None of these events are organic… They are pretty much pre-ordained
If Putin gives up on Syria then he should be hoping to get a favourable deal with respect to Ukraine or a deal has already been signed off already.
To come to your point on MbS, he will not be thrilled with Erdogan backed Jihadis taking over Syria.. between Saudis and Turkey there will always be tension on who is the true ruler of the Sunni Islamic world.. remember how Erdogan tried to corner MbS on the Adnan Kashogi murder in the Saudi Consulate in Ankara in 2017.. there is still distrust between these two.
The only thing we can be sure of is that the Jihadis will crush religious minorities including Syrian Christians and Shiites.. God have mercy on the civilians caught up in these games
I remember the Russian ambassador to Turkey being assassinated.
I think Erdogan played above his abilities. I think he thinks he’s winning, but he is actually losing.
More kayfabe to come. The Tick Tock is accelerating, and Scavino puts it out the hammer is falling, while Gen. Flynn tweets out WWG1WGA.
Yes, I think the Trump-Zelensky meeting today was the completion of negotiations. Ukraine war ends, CIA leaves Moldova , Romania, Hungary, and Ukraine. The Donbass stays Russian.
But, see below.
Assad revealed as fake DS puppet, just as compromised as Prince Andrew.
Boom.
Putin and Israel should offer Christians safe passage. That’s the minimum. Russia could fly in helicopters and take out Christians.
Why couldn’t Putin spare 20K or 30K military to quell the uprising? He reportedly now has a Million man, trained military. I admit, my knowledge level is minimal on the conflict.
Some kind of deal must had been made among the powers that count and the fate of Siria was part of it.
To what end though with the latter, this is far more than “an uprising”. This is turkey in tandem with others making their move with volume before their leverage became reduced.
Also with the latter geography and logistics. Even if you assume Russians or Iran want to some how go all-in against this… you have to get there, in mass, and in a timely manner to do any good. All of that is more challenging than it might appear, and that’s without the added issues of people shooting at you and while trying to just get there, both on the ground and in the air.
I think one should keep in mind from 2015 forward Ru just provided a competent airforce contingent that was used to support SAA and at the time Iranian ground efforts against isis/al-nusra/etc, a few companies of ru military mp’s, and some wagner contractors, not much more than that. The russian people wouldn’t have supported doing much more at the time. I don’t think it’s wild to speculate they’d be absolutely livid if he started shipping 10’s of thousands into Syria right now while engaged in a full spectrum conflict on their own borders, and for which they also have ~12 other land borders to look after (it’s easy to forget how big russia is sometimes), just for Assad.
The SAA for the most part wasn’t standing and fighting anymore (save the 25th div aka “tiger forces”), it would not surprise me at all if after seeing that, if both Ru and Iran who both have been fustrated with Assads refusal over the years to take their advice (re: to cut deals with various players), did a hard reassessment and determined his government, with him at the top, couldn’t be salvaged at this point and they’d just adapt and try to influence to extent possible what comes next.
Sergey Lavrov’s statements and comments to media in Doha (Turkey,Iran,Russia meeting), I think it was late yesterday, if you read between the lines was basically admitting that last part.
It is an old prophecy.🤷♀️💁

Has been especially since May 14,1948.
Began with 1917 Balfour Declaration.
According to Carr it’s even older than the Balfour Declaration… He concludes that the Oliver Cromwell revolt against the British monarchy itself was financed by the cabal of bankers, who have engineered most of the conflicts in Europe and held countries in their debt by financing those wars.. in many cases funding both sides of the same conflict .
At the start of the 20th century, the Russian Revolution, WW1 and WW2 seem to follow this deviously evil pattern

This is the deep state using CIA to implement its foreign policy during the lame duck period between the election and Trump taking office. This is John McCain‘s foreign policy of replacing a moderate Arab government which protected Christians with Al-Qaeda, militant Muslim fundamentalists. Trump will be greeted with a mess, and very likely a humanitarian crisis, in Syria. This is the sick nihilism that runs the American foreign policy establishment, and it is so insane and so maddening.
YES, YES AND YES
I would comment on this but Trump’s press release already contains two pieces of misinformation I could spot skimming it (figure out which)
So is it really worth it.
Hopefully he doesnt base his foreign policy on the same info or I do not see how the next 4 years will be better in foreign policy than what Biden accomplished (but it’s going to be hard to set the world on fire twice I suppose)
Be more specific as to the misinformation please. Treepers don’t do innuendo.
Treepers dont do innuendo, but they also should not do cognitive dissonance either.
* “The US should not get involved!”. Give me a break! The US is neck deep involved already.
The US funded this whole mess.
As it was the US (CIA) and Turkey training that funded “moderate” ISIS terrorists that now got rebranded as some “moderate HTS diversity force”. Can you believe they added diversity. Hah!
The “charismatic leader” that CNN was showing Jolimani (whatever this guy’s name is) … He was a little bit too fond of cutting off people’s heads with knives not too long ago. But I guess that does not matter to the US.
* The “only reason Russia is in Syria to spite Obama” is (willfully?) incomplete or ignorant. To name one other reason, Syria is host to Russia’s only warm water port to the meditereanean
* The statement “Russia lost 600,000 soldiers in Ukraine” is only based on Ukrainian and propaganda outlets such as “Institute for the study of war” Meanwhile Ukraine claimed couple months back the Ukraine side only had 30K losses so far. So there’s that.
* Then to assign some consequence to the statement “because [Russia] lost 600K soldiers they are => no longer able to fight in Syria” There could be a suprise should Trump act out foreign policy including this assumption.
The 600K statement is fiction. Not sure why Trump would mention it. Trump might have said the “600K losses” out of ignorance or one other option he is trying to bait/troll Russia such as “You are making SO MANY losses in Ukraine because we send pointy sticks, now accept our shitty cease-fire deal so we can re-arm Ukraine within 10 years and finish the job.”
I hope it’s ignorance, because I suspect going in with the other reason does not recognize why Russia is in Ukraine (same as we have no real recognition why Russia is in Syria) This would set more of the world on fire.
Peskov, the Kremlin Press Secretary, has made a statement in response to PDJT’s statement.
He refuted Trump’s statement on the loss ratio between Russia and Ukraine.
Ukrainian losses far exceed Russian ones, leading to the depletion of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and a reduction in the mobilization age to 18, said Peskov.
The catastrophic situation for the Ukrainian army will not change despite any measures.
To get back on a peaceful track, Zelensky only needs to lift the ban on negotiations with Russia and instruct the return to dialogue based on the “Istanbul” agreement, Peskov added.
The Kremlin has carefully studied Trump’s statement on resolving the conflict in Ukraine.
Just great, another secular Arab country fells to islamic jihadis. Say good by to the Sirian Christian comunity, one of the oldest in the world.
Who is going to believe these rebels are not getting help from a certain Western aliance?
Yes, this is one great concern. Assad’s rule has protected Syrian Christians whose numbers have been in serious decline.
Sadly, I’m starting to believe that POTUS45 (+ POTUS46) and POTUS47 are starting to believe …
CNN’s appraisal of how the West is faring in the real world!
IMO Ukraine & NATO are defeated in Ukraine!
Sooner or later!
US + their Jihadists + Turkey may win Syria.
Ukraine and the EU will still lose!
Israel is now a rogue nation under Netanyahu.
Turkey has always been detestable fence-sitter.
Yep, listened to all the Ted Postol interviews I could find …
and my Physics background seems to indicate the Russian hyper-sonic projectiles Oreshnik are designed to take-out underground facility’s “pink bodies”.
IMO he should describe in more detail – the repercussion to the underground percussion waves!
I’ll happily read alternative assessments.
BUT “sans” the global catastrophic effect of radio EMF and Radioactive fallout!
Both items were neglected by Ted Postal on the last interview I saw on Judging Freedom!
US+NATO+Israel have “won” in Syria with terrorist assistance.
Reports of the jihadists being supported by drones controlled by Ukrainians indicate that NATO indeed has a hand in it. Trump must indeed be aware of the Israelis’ atrocities in Gaza and now their alliance with the jihadists. A dark chapter in the history of the West and the US is written. https://www.voltairenet.org/article221566.html
I believe the CIA is funding the Syrian Rebel Groups just like they funded ISIS. It costs serious money and support to sucessfully fight and win against the Syrian Army. The CIA likes to intervene to justify intervening; a ‘Self-Licking Ice Cream Cone’. Once Tulsi Gabbard is established as ODNI, there should never be any secrets kept from Trump like in his first term.
The Redline was most likely crossed by the Lindsay Graham + John McCain + Hillary Crew to get Obama to lock us into a conflict with Russia over Syria which Hillary would have escalated if they had stolen the POTUS seat + C0vid would have escaped the lab in Wuhan a couple of years earlier – just as Leo Zagami warned in 2016…
(The Syria-related clips come near the 2nd half of this compilation of examples of typical Regime Change Op Agitations.)
https://rumble.com/v4ai7l3-january-31-2024.html
Russia also got a warm water port out of the deal. With NATO encroachment surrounding Russia’s Black Sea port, it’s up for debate how long the Russians could supply a port in Syria during a hot war.
Just keep in mind what this Syrian unpleasantness is all about…
Thank goodness there’s no recent evidence that oil and/or gas pipelines are highly vulnerable!
