What worries me, is the “more of us” here in America, are distracted by all the democrat social policies from bribinflation to the green new deal, college protests, transgender garbage….I don’t wonder just how many people even understand let alone truly care? So is it accurate to say that current liberal and progressive elite are neo-isolationists? Because they seek to fracture the post Cold War world order into the “yellow zone”. This would be almost laudable if the yellow zone weren’t becoming increasingly totalitarian.
I do not agree with his assessment of China, but Russia has been strategically mismanaged for over 40 years. I don’t think that mismanagement boils down to much more than our own corruption and greed in the U.S. government.
The problem I have is that I cannot see the U.S. political elite retracting to consolidate into a position of strength to deal with global challenges. We will keep over extending and hollowing out until foreign adversaries just push us out of the territory they want to control through international trade agreements or more directly politically. I think we see this in Africa, the Caribbean, and South America already.
So on one hand there is an impulse to resist the walling off of the BRICs, but we have domestically been devastated by offshoring to those very countries. We are at a structural competitive disadvantage through energy policy, regulation, politically motivated capital investment (Blackrock DEI and now BRIDGE), intellectual property theft, and a shrinking work force that lacks the technical knowledge of previous generations.
The only thing we really seem to be excelling at is making national defense articles protected by ITAR.

He also talked about current nuclear cooperation with China on Hungary’s nuclear power plant construction. I wonder if he is naive on that point. Does China only have help in mind and not further devious inroads through the belt and road initiative that Xi is pushing? A Chinese/Hungary EV plant project was hinted at. Hungary appears to be discussing it. His point about US forces working on Hungary’s project involving a deal with the Russians was an eye opener.
I see the very damaging effects the Biden coup has done. Their policies and plans have pushed other countries like Hungary into accepting what China and Russia appear to be offering them. Although his views on the work-arounds of the sanctions is something that Sundance can verify and that has been verified in other places, I disagree with some of what he said.
He says that he condemns Russia for its invasion of Ukraine. And he said that he has said this many times in public.
But I would like to ask him, where was he when Ukraine was bombing the Donbass, killing 14,000 people and during the battles that were taking place? Where was he when the great powers were refusing to uphold the Minsk accords? Where was he when NATO was promising to be established in Ukraine? Where was his condemnation of the US DOD biolabs when Russia complained about their work? Where was his condemnation of the Ukrainians lined up on the border of the Donbass in February, 2022? Where was he when Russia wrote 2 national security protocols that they tried to get the west to take seriously in 2021? Where was his condemnation of the CIA, US national guard, and NATO training of Ukrainian troops? Where was his condemnation of the Nazi militias, their marches and rallies, their atrocities as in Odessa?
He was silent and allowed the situation to come to a boil. And now he condemns Russia alone?

My view is that this happened in the EU once the chains were secured around every country with the legal locks operated by keys which were thrown away. The patina of glorious brotherhood among nations blinded almost everyone until that point. The first whiff that something was not quite right with the whole project should have been apparent when two countries…Ireland and Portugal (the latter if I remember correctly) were forced to hold second referendums on joining when the first delivered a resounding “No”. Countries were told such a verdict by even one country would scupper everything. We smelled a rat then.
The truth of what countries gave up any semblance of their sovereignties for started incrementally, softly, softly…until the frogs were well boiled. By that time it was too late.
Britain was able to exit, but have since not truly disconnected, maintaining their allegiance to the EU diktat on “Human Rights”…and has used the EU template to morph into a despotic copy.
I pray that Hungary and Slovakia will extricate themselves from the EU prison. Poland is in the clutches of a former president of the EU as PM. I pray for their people as well.

I listened to the interview and Q&A while fixing and eating breakfast. At the conclusion of it, I found myself doing the silliest thing: I found myself applauding. Alone in my kitchen, with no forethought nor aroused emotion… I set down my coffee and applauded a recorded interview.
It was not because I heard things I already believe being articulated and confirmed by a someone more influential and better informed. It was not because I was particularly energized by the experience. I applauded merely out of gratitude.
I applauded because it was such a rare and welcome experience to hear reason rather than obfuscation, positioning, or deniability.
I applauded because I heard questions asked from a variety of interests and values–not just from the standard western political polarity–and heard those questions responded to by someone representing his own nation’s interests, not someone presuming to speak for mother nature, for another country’s victimhood, or for the entire western corporatocracy.
