In a 5-4 ruling today [pdf Available Here], Chief Justice John Roberts and Justice Amy Coney Barrett joined with the radical leftists on the court, Ketanji Brown Jackson, Elena Kagan and Sonia Sotomayor, to say that Texas is not permitted to protect itself from illegal border crossers. None of the justices provided any explanation for their vote.
The court majority sided with the Biden administration policy of removing razor wire to permit illegal alien entry without impediment. Justices Samuel Alito, Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh and Clarence Thomas voted with Texas, in favor of national border integrity.
WASHINGTON (AP) — A divided Supreme Court on Monday allowed Border Patrol agents to cut razor wire that Texas installed on the U.S.-Mexico border, while a lawsuit over the wire continues.
The justices, by a 5-4 vote, granted an emergency appeal from the Biden administration, which has been in an escalating standoff at the border with Texas and had objected to an appellate ruling in favor of the state.
The concertina wire along roughly 30 miles (48 kilometers) of the Rio Grande near the border city of Eagle Pass is part of Texas Gov. Greg Abbott’s broader fight with the administration over immigration enforcement. (read more)
God, I pray for stability right now, because this is infuriating.
The irony and hypocrisy of the Supreme Court having a security perimeter for their own security yet dismissing the establishment of a security perimeter for the citizens of the country is not lost on me.
I am beyond angry!

Texas should ignore the order and dare them to enforce it. This is a test of political will now. Whenever a government becomes destructive to the people’s rights, it is their right and their duty to abolish such government.
Amen.
I, of course, don’t know how that would work in the end, however, I agree that Texas should ignore the Supreme Court.
Enough is enough.
And anyone who looked at Amy Barret and listened to her would know that she is weak.
Globalist. Everything in her background suggested that. And an authoritarian. She was just fine with Illinois covid lockdowns and voted to uphold them.
I agree but….the national guard is there to help facilitate a safe entry, warm blankets, soft beds, warm meals. We got a serious problem folks.
I agree 100% but….the national guard is there to facilitate entry, soft beds, warm meals, blankets, oh money lots of money. We have a serious problem folks.
Not true.
Article IV Section 4
The United States shall guarantee to every state in this union a republican form of government, and shall protect each of them against invasion; and on application of the legislature, or of the executive (when the legislature cannot be convened) against domestic violence.
And when the Federal Government abandons the field? What happens then?
What happens when the Federal power in Washington becomes ‘foreign’ to its own creator—the Sovereign States, the People.
Extreme Federalism
“The last resort within the purview of the Constitution is the process of amendment provided for by itself and to be executed by the States…”
[BUT]
“In the event of a failure of all these Constitutional resorts against usurpations and abuses of power and of an accumulation thereof rendering passive obedience & nonresistance a greater evil than resistance and revolution, there can remain but one resort, the last of all, the appeal from the cancelled obligation of the Constitutional compact to original rights and the law of self-preservation.”
“This is the Ultima ratio, under all Governments, whether consolidated, confederated, or partaking of both those characters. Nor can it be doubted that in such an extremity a single State would have a right, tho’ it would be a natural not a constitutional Right to make the appeal. The same may be said indeed of particular portions of any political community whatever so oppressed as to be driven to a choice between the alternative evils.”
James Madison to Edward Everett, August 28, 1830.
Very good references and context. The best Constitutional attorneys couldn’t more succinctly pinpoint the argument and rationale.
The fact that this same court very recently rebuked Texas, along with 17 other supporting states, when it challenged the 4 states where the steal occurred (notwithstanding AZ, which wasn’t challenged) and asserted they had not followed their own respective laws and Constitutional obligations in conducting and certifying their respective votes is where the straw breaks the camel’s back.
If they would deny collective standing to a group of states comprising > 1/3 of the Republic then original construction cannot possibly also dictate that they would/should also be able to deny one of the group from protecting itself against a literal invasion within its (sovereign) state boundaries. This doesn’t even address the fact that our own federal gov. is both facilitating and funding said invasion.
The Republic has overtly become an illusion, if not an outright fabrication.
Barrett is proving to be a bad pick. She appears to be a weak Judge who seeks to avoid making hard decisions and wants to avoid controversy..
Didn’t Pence push thath pick?
And McConnel pushed her
AMERICA WAS WARNED OVER AND OVER ABOUT BARRETT by Attorney Robert Barnes. Barnes wrote a detailed exposition of Barrett’s decisions and every one of them upheld government over the Constitutional rights of the people.
Yup. I pointed the administration at his commentary (as I’m guessing many did) at the time, and loudly exclaimed that it was a big mistake. Not that Lagoa (sp?) would necessarily have been confirmed by the Senate, but that is the route that should have been attempted.
Amy Comey-Barrett is fast becoming Sandra Day O’Connor. Thanks again, Federalist Society!!
Comey
The name says it all.
Her name is Coney not Comey. She is a self important elitist ass just like Comey though.
Amy Phony Barrett.
Simple solution:
Become a sanctuary (for Americans) city or state and then you can ignore law.
Exactly. Declare a state for sanctuary of citizens. The states who went against Trump and threw out ICE were never taken to court.
Biden never abides by the USSC and States and it’s citizens shouldn’t either .
JB. Williams
A righteous justification for war. No mercy. No quarter.
Send more busses to DC.
Is anyone suspicious that Clarence Thomas has not issued a dissenting opinion? Yeah, me too.
There were no opinions by any of them.
The case still has to be heard by the lower court; this was simply an order denying keeping the lower court’s hold in place, where the lower court had agreed with Texas to keep the razor wire in place, this ruling simply says no, while the lower court hears the case Texas has to remove the razor wire; once a ruling is in place then it goes up the chain to the Supreme Court, regardless of who wins in the lower court.
And, by the time that second step happens we will have a new President, which will change how things are handled at the border and so when this case does reach the Supreme Court they can again say “moot”.
Do not comply. States rules !! 🙏🏻🇺🇸
Not new for Alabama. Seen it all before.
Yes ma’am!!!!
I have not seen a response from Texas but I hope the state ignores the ruling.
It might be noted Texas has the right to secede.
At least then, Texas would be able to defend itself.
Found this on Fox website
Texas AG Paxton promises ‘fight is not over’ after SCOTUS rule on Biden admin’s razor wire cuttin

There is no right to secede. We settled this 160 years ago. May we please be done with this nonsense.
“We settled this 160 years ago.”
—————————-
Ruling that says so?
So, the Constitution is a suicide pact. Got it. Thanks for that insightful opinion.
A disagreement settled at gunpoint. I’m no lawyer, but pretty sure this is not how valid contractual agreement are settled.
Apparently in the treaty signed between Texas and U.S. when Texas joined the Union it states that Texas can secede..I tried to find that stipulation in the treaty itself but was not successful
I’m furious..
I did some fast reading on the topic of whether or not a state can declare war– Texas is under attack and we all can see this.
(and it’s not just Texas)
What I read said that while a member of the Union, they can’t.
I wouldn’t blame Texas one bit for leaving this Union- I’m wondering how they have a choice given what is going on!
How is it in their best interest to stay? — given what is going on, which is getting worse by the day.
If I could wave a magic wand I’d have them leave the union and declare war.. someone has to do it by gosh.
We’re hanging here without a net with an incoming invasion of military aged fighters, criminals, crazies and anchor baby makers.
We’ve don’t have a President on the side of his own nation, or Congress, OR The Supreme Court!!
Then, I did some looking at if the Texas Constitution allows them to leave the Union.. and from what I can see, this is controversial- meaning yes or no depending upon who or what you read. I call that good because there is a yes in the pile.
I say they have the best chance to pull this off, and I sure hope they do.
It’s about time to pull a fast one on this entire sold out, tyrannical government.
I mean someone has got to rise up somehow and take the wheel here before we go off the cliff!
Set the National Guard up on the border with orders to shoot anyone attempting to cross. End of discussion.
Texas should declare that they are being invaded and sue the US Goverment to protect them.
We’ve gone off that cliff, don’t you see? We’re just where the car begins to tilt down and we realize there’s no road beneath us.
https://rumble.com/v48mvth-jeff-clark-the-state-of-texas-has-a-right-to-resist-invasion.html
Unfortunately the paper tigers in Congress won’t impeach the wellspring called team biden. Talk radio has just as much impact as Babylon DC.
I don’t want to think this way but, it may be time to start over.
It looks as though they did.. without us!
Convention of States
We’re too late. Many state COS Resolutions have or are expiring. It will take at least a decade until it could reach conclusion in a COS Convention.
It will, however, make an excellent blueprint by which to rebuild.
A Convention of States would be disastrous without dozens of trustworthy God-fearing Statesmen currently in very short supply.
As they say, The Constitution is not a suicide pact.
So if the feds can cut the states fencing, it stands to reason that I can cut the fencing that is blocking my property (we the people’s property).
It’s hard to call it an invasion when the when the administration is actively importing and providing for illegals
Abbott’s actions are constitutionally justified to control an invasion, not efforts that interfere with an official policy of importation
https://x.com/IPrincess1901/status/1740914442555253158?s=20
This is a continuing self-coup to change the nature of the state by office holders who do not respect nor support nor follow the constitution which they continue to swear an oath to at each inaugeration. The uni-party subverts our government from within.
In this case, the uni-party is not only aiding and abbetting but is actively inviting, recruiting, and subsidizing an invasion of the United States.
Texas needs to recognize this as not just as an invasion but an actual state of war and exercise war powers in the absence of federal assistance to the state.
Kari Lake would have done this in AZ. That is why the cheating and uni-party collusion blocking her election were so desperately blatant.
Sedition. This is the only way to launch any type of successful invasion of the American mainland. No one would have dared attack us any other way. An army landing on a Georgia beach would never have a chance. Our Sovereignty must be destroyed in order to usher in the global government. This is how they plan to do it. Our Justices are compromised. The Supreme Court is in on it. I can think of no better explaination.
Im pretty sure at least that Roberts is co-opted. Epstein maybe?
as I have said for over 2 years, nothing will change until bullets fly
Notice they never say what legal precedent led to their decision?
People debating whether Texas has the right to secede are completely missing the point. It’s beyond irrelevant whether Texas has the right to secede. The colonies did not have the right to secede from Great Britain and yet they did.
The only question is whether the Texas politicians have the cojones to secede, and then whether the US government is willing to go to war with us to prevent it, and whether we’re willing to go to war to succeed in seceding.
As I am 100% certain that Abbott, the drunken Dade Phelan, et al do NOT have the cojones, it’s all academic.
True point on Abbott. He did back down when he had similar show down with Obama..
Now if Paxton was governor all of this may have played out differently
It may be academic for Abbott, but I doubt it is academic for most of Texas. God Speed. I have a cousin there, father to 6, who are mostly adults now.
Is there anything in the Texas Constitution about defending its borders from invasion?
Texas Constitution :: Texas Law :: US Law :: Justia
This does not bode well for other decisions; SCOTUS cannot be trusted with most basic rights. Abbott should ignore their ruling since majority so blatantly ignored the Constitution in ruling as they did.
.
Well, we know who is being controlled now…
Just keep putting up the wire. Maybe remove the border agents.
President Trump, POTUS 47 is now a foregone conclusion. The jockeying of realpolitik from the left has commenced.
So sometime between now and the November election, when millions of illegals receive coordinated cell phone calls, just where do these Justices think they can go to avoid the pre-planned havoc and chaos? A Twilight Zone episode comes to mind, Time Enough at Last.
Now we understand why Deep State Mitch was positively giddy about ACB. He already knew.
This is the same corrupt SCOTUS that ruled that Texas lacked standing in Texas v. Pennsylvania in 2020.
Roberts is completely compromised. And ACB has always been a raving statist. Kavanaugh is a weakling that was provided cover by the other two this time.
Texas should ignore the ruling. It’s high time for a showdown over this invasion.
3-2-1 “My family has rec’d death threats.”
How beneficial would it be to have someone on the Supreme Court blackmailed? Someone inline to make a decision on an important case.

So, put the US Army on the job to fully support the border patrol and start sending people back to country of origin. D.C. has done a horrible incompetent botch job on both the border as well as immigration overall. If they don’t want states doing it, fine, but step up, take the lead, and do a lot better job of convincing the American public of competency efficacy and so forth on this issue. Secure the border, turn off the magnet, and send the people home. Right now, D.C. looks like self-conflicting incompetent idiots who can’t keep their story straight and are admitting extremely sketchy people into the US. Get it together, or let the states work the issue. Ted Cruz knows this issue so let him speak on it and get his recommendations on what to do, and then talk about replacing majerkas with someone a little less mealy-mouthed and disingenuous. Get it in one bag, amirite. Else the cartels will continue to operate with impunity in the face of cross-eyed federal govtardz who apparently don’t know if they’re coming or going.

Attorney General Ken Paxton Responds to SCOTUSRuling on Concertina Wire Case
Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton released the following statement after the Supreme Court of the United States (“SCOTUS”) issued an interlocutory order permitting the Biden Administration to resume destroying concertina wire barriers placed by Texas on its side of the Rio Grande riverbank.
“The Supreme Court’s temporary order allows Biden to continue his illegal effort to aid the foreign invasion of America,” Attorney General Paxton said. “The destruction of Texas’s border barriers will not help enforce the law or keep American citizens safe. This fight is not over, and I look forward to defending our state’s sovereignty.”

Now would be a great time for apologies from the people who continuously bark and complain that only corruption and lack of desire to seal the border keeps Greg Abbott from snapping his fingers and stopping the flow.
I am not Abbott’s greatest fan, but he has been working on border issues from the time he assumed office as Texas Attorney General more than two decades ago.
On the illegal immigration issue, Abbott is not the problem.
Sending people to out-of-state sanctuary cities is a habit he should maintain.
Here we go! Bucket your seatbelts, tight!
Isnt the whole border wall symbolic anyway?
I saw a documentary on Real America’s Voice about a week ago: The Mexican cartel just cuts a piece out of a border fence (in this case steel beams towering high).. the cartel has spotters and they showed a house on the Mexican side of the border not 100 yards from the wall. Once the coast is clear out pop a dozen migrants, they push through the hole they made and they are in the US.
The guy called the border police, reporting the illegal crossing. They said “all their personnel was busy booking migrants, they had nobody in a 20 mile radius to patrol that wall”.
The problem is not the existence or non-existence razor wire or the wall, its that border police is not enforcing. This ruling is bad, but even if it went the other way it wont fix the reality at the US border.
If the border is not enforced there is no border.
The problem is also the NGO’s that put loads of money in and the Cartels they just are the spotters on the ground. The doormen. Take out the NGO’s funding and that does more to fixing the wall than a piece of barbed wire.
@sundance: Did you report on the Supreme Court vacating the vaccine mandate cases to the lower court and call these cases “moot”? I think this is a bigger supreme court flop as it means the Government can basically violate civil rights – for as long as it takes to push a challenge through the legal system.. e.g. 3 YEARS. Then the Gov just cancels the mandate / civil rights violation and its back to business as usuall.. BUT the damage has already been done to people’s health.
It’s finally nice too see on this website that scotus isn’t coming to rescue us.

Three Former Presidents Start NGO to Import Illegal Aliens into the U.S.
› American Greatness (amgreatness.com)
“Three of the five former Presidents of the United States have started a new non-governmental organization (NGO) with the explicit purpose of chartering flights to import illegal aliens into the United States.
As reported by Just The News, the NGO Miles4Migrants, founded by former Presidents Barack Obama, George W. Bush, and Bill Clinton, is teaming up with two other organizations, American Express Global Business Travel and Welcome.US, to expand upon a previous effort that focused solely on Afghan refugees following the disastrous withdrawal of American forces from Afghanistan in 2021.
Welcome.US was originally launched for the purpose of bringing in at least 85,000 Afghan refugees, and also has ties to the far-left billionaire George Soros and his Open Society Foundation. The new coalition between Welcome.US, Miles4Migrants, and American Express Global Business Travel will seek to raise money to import illegals from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, Venezuela, and Ukraine.
“Donations are needed to fund the flights for newcomers to travel to the United States,” the initiative’s webpage openly declares. “Those forced to flee often leave behind all but what they can carry, and the costs of international travel can be prohibitive. Welcome Connect Travel removes the cost of travel as a barrier for both sponsors in the United States and the displaced families they are supporting through humanitarian sponsorship.”” …….
“Children of the Same Foul Spirit”
In my post just above I also identified the NGO’s as the source of the border issue: NGO funding.
NGO’s should be abolished and / or some members could be hung for treason.
In Europe the NGO’s have their own boats and setup a ferry service between Libya and Spain / Italy.
If a migrant wades their little pinky toe in the Mediterranean then they get “rescued from drowning” and dropped off in the nearest Euro-Port. All expenses paid trip. These NGO’s are criminal enterprises by facilitating human trafficking.
What do they have on Barrett? I m ow Roberts is probably compromised. She has been almost reliably anti-constitution.
Texas should respond with replacing barbed wire with electric fences. Everyone thinking of entering will soon know of its existence and if any still proceed, their is nothing inhumane about it. It is suicide by border crossing. You know the outcome, it is freaking suicide. Not murder. Not torture. Suicide.
Concord and Lexington have arrived in Texas! Let Texas say “Remember the Alamo!” and resist with arms any federal attempt to infringe on their right to protect their citizens and land from foreign invasion.
Remember! The same suited, booted, and body armored federal agents who storm into Texas to tear down the only thing protecting US citizens in Texas from foreign invasion by cartel members, MS13 members, Chinese agents, and Islamic terrorists will also arrest moms and grandmothers for not wearing masks; and blow up doors to storm into houses to confiscate legal guns; and who’ll blow your and your children’s brains out on the order of their salivating, rabid masters.

Fortunately, in Texas, gentle readers can own Ma Duce if desired, presuming they can afford to feed it a diet of belted .50. It’s the same where I live. Wanna own an M4 Sherman? Do the paperwork and pay the 200. It’s sometimes faster if one has a trust and FFL3 for curios and relics.
There are still places in these United States, many places actually, where one can own authentic weapons of war, not just from the U.S. but from around the world. From my perusal, trade in them is brisk. For now.
Waco was a good lesson on mission contours. They went it alone and were totally defensive. Don’t be them. Coordinate and attack with precision. There are millions of ex-military in the country who know exactly what to do, how to do it, and the realities of it. Real assets. God bless them.
I’m f’in infuriated. These f’in totalitarians have no f’in survival instinct. If I was Xi I would march an army across the border tomorrow because radical leftism is a suicide pact.
Is the Biden tyranny trying to create an event that could invoke Marshal law? Their fear of Trump can be smelled through the media. Just saw Dimrata say on the Communist News Network that Trumps mental state needs to be questioned. The air is thick with fear. Are there enough light posts available in DC or could they be thrust through the little windows at the top of the Washington monument?
Back in the 50s and 60s women thought that having women in seats of power would lead to a kinder world… especially for women. Barrett and Merkel and others in power around the world have shown this is not so.
And what’s with the double barrelled names of these dames? I thought that fad was done with years ago.
Proverbs 31:3 KJV
Give not thy strength unto women, nor thy ways to that which destroyeth kings.
I never bought into that mind game of women, as a rule, being the gentler, more nurturing sex and I was programmed during a time in the 50’s and 60’s when that was prevalent.
Women are a box of chocolates just like men are. If not sufficiently evident in the past I hope it is now.
At the top tiers of government, they are all in on this.
Pssst! Hey Texas:
https://www.vice.com/en/article/jg54mg/republicans-push-to-legalize-property-owners-killing-homeless-people-in-kentucky
This has to be the match which lights the powder keg if secession. What happens when the feds shirk their responsibilities as in now? So the states don’t have dominion over themselves? This is ridiculous.
Better to Remain Silent and Be Thought a Fool than to Speak and Remove All Doubt
So now we’ve pushed SCOTUS to pick a side, yet again, and they have. On any substantial issue where the case is we the people versus the globalist agenda, we have lost. At this point, I’m expecting a 5-4 verdict that says the states have the right to decide whether they allow someone on the ballot or not, deflecting the insurrection issue completely. “No standing b/c states control elections just like the abortion issue.”
War is coming. Nothing will stop it.
Texas has no standing with the court. Not really any different than the election fraud punt. The SCOTUS is there to serve the deep state, not the citizens.
