None of the justices provided any explanation for their vote.
The court majority sided with the Biden administration policy of removing razor wire to permit illegal alien entry without impediment. Justices Samuel Alito, Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh and Clarence Thomas voted with Texas, in favor of national border integrity.

Last time we had a total failure South Carolina succeeded. After they left an evenly divided congress was no longer evenly divided. Roughly two weeks later senators from seven southern states told Southern states to succeeded. Roughly a week later Mississippi succeeded. Within a month of South Carolina 3/4 of states that would succeed had succeeded.

To my knowledge, there has never been research into the sources for these adoptions. Were they private adoptions? Some of this would be confidential or sealed but presumably not the agencies or NGOs involved.

I believe the DC rumor mill has churned for decades about Roberts’ and his wife’s adoption of their daughters. IIRC speculation was that these rumors were brought up again when Roberts discovered that the Tax & Spend Clause upheld the Obamacare penalty as a “tax.”

As soon as I saw Barrett had adopted a kid from overseas (likely ordering her wuss husband to go along with it and obey her), I knew she was a bad choice. Then I saw she supported the lockdowns. I think it’s odd that there’s neither a majority opinion nor any dissenting opinions with regard to today’s 5-4 SCOTUS ruling about whether the federal government can remove razor-wire along the Texas border.
That is because they weren’t making a decision based on merits of the case. Although, I’m not happy with their decision, they are just allowing Biden admin to continue with their actions while the actual case progresses through the courts. I’m guessing they are hoping that the appeal succeeds for Texas without them having to take a controversial position. They have kicked the can on almost every controversial decision. Perhaps PTSD from Roe v Wade.

It’s a procedural decision, not on the merits. Hearings in the case are set for 07 Feb 2024. Irrespective of the issue, this is a typical SCOTUS decision, to wit, they vacated the Emergency Order and put the circumstances back where they were and will now let the process play out. Clearly they will see this case again, no matter the outcome in the 5th Circuit.
Admittedly it’s not a great sign that the two compromised Traitors sided with the Marxists. But the case and the issue is a long, long way from being over. Don’t read more into this decision than is warranted.
