That creation aligns with the Dept of Homeland Security organizing “homeland intelligence experts” {link} to control and monitor public information and shape U.S. public opinion. All of this is happening under the guise of national security. We have the COVID-19 backdrop to identify the public-private partnership approach to controlling information. This same process can easily be deployed to cover Ukraine sensitive content.

I was surprised minister Lavrov said the Kremlin would recognize Ukraine’s borders before the invasion if President Volodymyr Zelensky and his Government backtracked on plans to join NATO or any other military alliance.

Putin, Lavrov and other Russian officials have made hardline statements to an unprecedented degree over the last few days, making it clear they see through the US ruse of calling for a “freeze” in the conflict and dragging out insincere negotiations just so they have time for Ukraine to recover and get re-armed and train more soldiers.
Many years ago, Lavrov said something similar to that regarding the situation in the Donbas at THAT time, when the region was already in conflict between the ethnic-Russian (and Russia-backed) local population and the Ukrainian government that was persecuting them after hardline anti-Russian elements had come into power. I’ve seen that old video pop up online over the last couple of days, with people commenting on how naïve this position now seemed in hindsight. Where I saw it, the date was accurate, but I can easily picture it being used as propaganda with the date hidden or changed.
Lavrov has been Russia’s Foreign Minister (their top diplomat and a roughly equivalent position to Secretary of State in the USA) for just over 20 years now. Most likely because of the sensitive and inherently cautious nature of that position, he has also been the member of Putin’s inner circle who is consistently the most measured and cordial in his words and tone towards Ukraine, the USA and what Russians usually call “the collective West,” referring to the various coalitions, both official and informal, of Western counties that have often aligned in coordinated opposition towards Russia during that time. However, Lavrov’s public remarks over the past week or so, including yesterday, have been different. They are CLEARLY the least cordial, least flexible, most aggressive and most determined he has sounded while speaking about the USA or collective West in his entire 20+ year career. Putin and Russian Speaker of the Parliament Volodin have also shifted to a much harsher tone over that period, compared to previously.
That’s a video from many years ago (or some sort of misunderstanding). There’s no way Putin or Lavrov are going to make that sort of mistake, which would not only be inexplicable strategically at this point, but would contradict everything they’re saying in such a direct way that the Russian public would consider it an unforgivable betrayal of the tens of thousands of fallen Russian soldiers in this conflict and the millions of ethnic Russians living in the four regions Russia has taken during the war, who would either have to flee into Russia, causing a refugee crisis or they would likely be killed or, at a minimum, persecuted severely, if Ukraine were to retake control of those regions.
Now a question for everyone, if you were Russia, what would you be preparing to do? After seeing this information, and more?

If the UK Defence Secretary wants the Royal Navy to “help out” in the Black Sea, fairly certain he will be disappointed in the answer he will get from the Admirals.
