If you overlay the U.S. intelligence leaks as a potential excuse for the U.S. not getting deeper into the never-ending Ukraine conflict we support, then the comments by Emmanuel Macron about the EU not wanting to get involved with U.S. interests in Taiwan make more sense.
On his flight back from Beijing, French President Macron told traveling media, Europe needs to reduce dependency on the United States. Remarkably, this is what President Donald Trump has been saying for years as part of his overall EU and NATO policy. However, this could also be an indication of a strategic Taiwan pivot by the U.S. as shared from the Foggy Bottom diplomats who love their French connections.
(Via Politico) – Europe must reduce its dependency on the United States and avoid getting dragged into a confrontation between China and the U.S. over Taiwan, French President Emmanuel Macron said in an interview on his plane back from a three-day state visit to China.
Speaking with POLITICO and two French journalists after spending around six hours with Chinese President Xi Jinping during his trip, Macron emphasized his pet theory of “strategic autonomy” for Europe, presumably led by France, to become a “third superpower.”
He said “the great risk” Europe faces is that it “gets caught up in crises that are not ours, which prevents it from building its strategic autonomy,” while flying from Beijing to Guangzhou, in southern China, aboard COTAM Unité, France’s Air Force One.
Xi Jinping and the Chinese Communist Party have enthusiastically endorsed Macron’s concept of strategic autonomy and Chinese officials constantly refer to it in their dealings with European countries. Party leaders and theorists in Beijing are convinced the West is in decline and China is on the ascendant and that weakening the transatlantic relationship will help accelerate this trend.
“The paradox would be that, overcome with panic, we believe we are just America’s followers,” Macron said in the interview. “The question Europeans need to answer … is it in our interest to accelerate [a crisis] on Taiwan? No. The worse thing would be to think that we Europeans must become followers on this topic and take our cue from the U.S. agenda and a Chinese overreaction,” he said.
Just hours after his flight left Guangzhou headed back to Paris, China launched large military exercises around the self-ruled island of Taiwan, which China claims as its territory but the U.S. has promised to arm and defend. (read more)

Trump actually had a strategy that would have broken up the BRICS in favor of a new U.S. alliance with India, Brazil and Mexico (recall USMCA was negotiated with Mexico first).
Trump had China on the ropes. He had close ties with Modi in India and Bolsonaro in Brazil. Trump believed that it was a major mistake to push Russia and China (historic rivals) together into an economic and military alliance.
So Trump sought to settle the European issues with Russia and forge renewed US-Russo ties through India to contain China. It was a brilliant strategy. Not too mention Trump’s work with Turkey, Pakistan, and even his hardline against Iran was having an impact in the Middle East. The Gulf nations (GCC), we’re making peace with Israel (whatever happened to that momentum?).
Trump’s ties in Latin America were strong. He had the Central American countries in check around immigration. Mexico was cooperating with the U.S.. South America was moving back towards a U.S. centric view away from China.
To say Trump’s foriegn policy initiatives were a great missed opportunity for the U.S. and the World is a massive understatement! Think about all regions in the world that Trump was making progress in. Even with North Korea there was progress!
Only with our “allies” in Europe and Asia was there tensions, yet Trump had their number too. He just needed the second term to get them right.
Now with this foolish war in Ukraine, Russia is moving firmly into China’s embrace and China is using the BRICS to establish its alternate payment, trade and investment system. China will establish a currency reserve system that will soon rival that of the dollar and the Euro.

I’m going to get shouted at for saying this, but I disagree; we’d just have a different set of problems to deal with thanks to a corrupt/insane bureaucracy, not to mention the uniparty.
One, Blue Cities/States would have been in lockdown longer to hurt the economy. This would’ve meant more Government spending and more inflation, higher interest rates than we’ve got now and more screaming that the economy is going to collapse any second now (and some billionaires may have opened the floodgates by now anyway). Two, these same areas would’ve gone full anti-vax shouting how evil/deadly the covid jabs are, instead of keeping the reality in the shadows. These two play into each other extremely well. Three, while their may not be a hot war in Ukraine because of Trump, I don’t think there’d be peace in the region due to how the swamp hides the ball.

Anyway, I’d like to bring up an important point rarely touched upon even by anti-establishment media: China isn’t the aggressor in the Taiwan crisis, we are.
When Taiwan was established, it was intended to be a temporary placeholder for the old Republic of China led by Sun Yat-sen and Chiang Kai-Shek. The end goal was Chinese re-unification, not permanent independence. However, the Taiwanese government has since been hijacked by CIA-aligned subversives who want to not only make Taiwan permanently independent, but also – in order to keep it that way – impose a “soft Cultural Revolution” which would abolish the country’s traditional “Chinese” identity and replace it with a woke “Taiwanese” one.
China sees these developments as a grave threat, and for good reason. The Deep State has long expressed its desire to dismantle China into a bunch of smaller states which could be easily controlled, and Taiwan is the experiment designed to prove whether such a venture would be feasible. If the CIA succeeds in fundamentally transforming Taiwan and securing its independence, then its next move WILL be to spark separatist rebellions in the Mainland; these rebels would undoubtedly resort to mass killings in order to achieve their goals. The end result of course would be tens of millions if not hundreds of millions dead, with China and its neighbors being in the same kind of chaos we saw in the Middle East following the Arab Spring, if not worse.
THIS is what is currently at stake, and we need to put our feet down NOW.
