Queen Elizabeth II has died at the age 96. She was the longest living monarch in history. At 6.30pm her death was confirmed. A Buckingham Palace spokesman said:
‘The Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon. The King and The Queen Consort will remain at Balmoral this evening and will return to London tomorrow’.
Her son Charles, the former Prince of Wales, is now King. He will address the shocked nation imminently, as the world grieves Britain’s longest-reigning monarch.
Queen Elizabeth’s children, and Prince William and Prince Harry, had rushed to her bedside at Balmoral after doctors became ‘concerned’ for her health. Hours later she died, surrounded by her family.
The Queen’s death will see Britain and her Commonwealth realms enter into a ten-day period of mourning as millions of her subjects in the UK and abroad come to terms with her passing. And as her son accedes to the throne, there will also be a celebration of her historic 70-year reign that saw her reach her Platinum Jubilee this year – a landmark unlikely to be reached again by a British monarch.
The Queen’s passing came more than a year after that of her beloved husband Philip, her ‘strength and guide’, who died aged 99 in April 2021. Since his funeral, where she poignantly sat alone because of lockdown restrictions, her own health faltered, and she was forced to miss an increasing number of events mainly due to ‘mobility problems’ and tiredness.
But she was well enough to meet with Boris Johnson at Balmoral to accept his resignation, before asking the 15th Prime Minister of her reign, Liz Truss, to form a Government.
Her Majesty, who stood with the support of a stick and smiled as she greeted Ms Truss in front of a roaring fire, had not been seen in public for two months. It would be her final picture.
RIP Queen E.
Do you graffiti every page you visit? Or just for those articles that cover major historical passages?
Graffiti? Clever choice!
Après elle, le déluge.
I remember when I was a little girl and my mom told me about the then future Queen fixing jeeps during WWII and how much she helped her nation and my mom as a kid. My Grandparents ministered to the official refugees we took in. The horrors of the concentration camps and mass extermination were therefore not hidden from my mom.
The respect for the Queen is world wide. She leaves us with a shifting world.
I was four in 1952 when she acceded to the throne. The ceremony seemed to last all day. We watched her majestic procession on black and white TV from our living room in Arizona. She always seemed to have so much class. Rest in peace.
Same age here. She’s always been there in my world. I respected her.
Every culture has its own needs. I bet you know zero about her history.
I know it does not work that way but can’t help wishing it was Biden gone, instead of Elizabeth.
Think of what his legacy will be compared to hers.
He did evil. She did good.
Some of her annual Christmas addresses were very inspiring and beautiful.
Someone in the thread spoke of the family staying in London during WWII, I found this:
https://britishheritage.com/history/buckingham-palace-bombing-wwii
I always remembered her mother’s great phrase – it taught me a lot about duty: the children stay with me and I stay with the King and the King stays with England.
That settled that and there was no more talk of running
Ignorant person!
Duty.
Born of love, compassion, and loyalty to her country and her people.
In America, every year, July 4th is celebrated as Independence Day, independence from the British Crown.
The question is why do we care? Why is the passing of a 90 something year old person who happens to be the British monarch is worthy of a post?
For the same reason the toppling of statues of historic figures by AntiFa thugs is worthy of a post: Both represent the closing of chapters of the history of once-worthy, once-respectable western culture.
If you doubt that statement, please have a look at the character traits of the successor to her throne.
A parent is only as good as their dumbest kid. She raised him and Andrew.
Case closed.
BALDERDASH!
That’s one of the stupidist things I’ve ever read. It is a complete non-sequitor, especially considering that grown children make their own life decisions, and quite a lot against how they were reared, just to be different, to demonstrate their independence. Grown children of good parents often choose awful things and become awful people. Grown children of bad parents usually choose good things and become decent people.
No one is responsible for any grown adult’s decisions, unless under criminal duress.
The point of “republicanism,” classical liberalism, classical libertarianism, “Constitutionalism,” FREEDOM, is that YOU are responsible for your OWN decisions, and so is everybody else.
No one who is in his right mind believes we should all be life-long children dependent on nannies and parents for the rest of our lives.
That’s the “government” we’re fighting right now! Where do you get such an irrational, illogical, tyrannical idea that would hold the parent responsible for everything a grown child is/does?!
THAT is Communism, totalitarianism. It’s anti-human, anti-freedom.
… because she was the longest-reigning monarch in world history, and she served her country faithfully for more time than many of us have been alive. Right up until yesterday. It is entirely appropriate that we should honor [now, the memory of …] such an incredible woman. We will never see the like of her again.
If young women today really wanted a female to look up to and emulate in their lives, I cannot think of a better woman of substance than Queen Elizabeth. If she had a narcissist bone in her body, she hid it incredibly well. For more than 70 years she performed her duties without whining, complaining, nor slacking off. Her entire life was dedicated to loving her family and her nation. Today, all we hear from many young women is whine, whine, and more whine despite wealth and success.
As if that’s a good thing.
Why isn’t serving other people — your family and your countrymen — a good thing?
As His Father’s Son, whom did Jesus come to seek, save, and serve, and command us to do likewise?
None of that by choice. Again, why do we care? We are neither a Crown Dependency nor a British Overseas Territory since 1776.
So . . . did YOU choose who you were born to? What you were born into?
We care because of the godly character she embodied and consistently lived.
Do we have to be crown dependencies or a British overseas territory to recognize and honor that in anyone?
How’s our own record of goodness stacked up since 1776? Especially, how’s it doing today? Who even comes close to who Elizabeth II was and represented? Why are we in the situation politically and spiritually we’re in today, if 1776 is our only measure? Can you say?
What difference does British monarchy or 1776 make if this is the result? Both entities totally trashed, politically, philosophically, ethically, morally, spiritually, culturally. Elizabeth II at least was not.
Because tradition, in all its’ iterations, was once something to be respected regardless of the political or economic differences between peoples. The left is intent on destroying tradition and history both.
We have plenty of our traditions. Like speak our mind or keep and bear arms. We should be more worried about our traditions being under attack 24/7/365 by the Left. The monarchy is not our tradition. Quite to the cintrary, we went to war to get rid of the British Crown. Never forget that!
We went to war because of the tyranny and injustices imposed on her colonies by the British crown at the time. Mostly imposed by Parliament, in fact.
How have we become better since that time? How are we better today? Do you think “the Left” is an American problem? Do you think the UK and in fact all Western European countries, are not dealing with “the Left” exactly as we are — and in many cases, even worse?
While “the monarchy” may not “be” our tradition, our inheritance, our heritage, is very much formed under that ancient tradition. It’s not all wrong any more than our “form of government” is all right.
We can share and pool our heritage with our relatives wherever we’re scattered on this earth. It’s not about the British monarchy. It’s about the global rot attacking all of us of that heritage and those we’ve influenced through the centuries. It’s neither American nor the British crown. It’s our shared and spread Christian ideals and ethics and morality.
And if we don’t understand that and understand what that means, not just for us or the British crown, but all the world’s peoples, we will be decimated and enslaved by the evil devil-worshiping Cabal we call “the elites” for the sake of politeness, for fear of saying the truth out loud.
We are ALL in a war for our lives, our civilization, our freedoms, our right to be Christians, with all our ethics, morals, compassion, peace, and prosperity.
Anger and hatred against “the British Crown” is an egregious, dangerous, distracting, mistake.
The English monarch vs. its colonies is LONG past. So now, today, what do we have to show for it? Both have a far more important and permanent enemy to deal with. Our very lives, and those of our surviving children in the next few months and years, depend on our sorting out our real and proper priorities.
It is worth seeing the worth Elizabeth II embodied and represented. Hopefully, Kari Lake may also bear that torch. We are in dire straits, and this grudge against a long-defeated enemy, rather than recognizing what we’re ALL up against today, no matter what country in this world, is just blind suicide.
Can’t you just let people have their time of grief for someone they dearly respect? We care because we fought and became common cultures that strived to better the world. Respecting an old enemy and embracing them for a better future has been a major part of western culture and without it, we would be no better than some sheethole third world country out for only themselves.
Well said!
Only if you respond to emotions, and not to facts.
Oh. So your disparagement is mere fact, not in any way an expression of emotion?
Explain, please.
What common cultures? They jail people for offensive opinions. They won’t allow people to defend themselves.
The United Kingdom is fundamentally anti-American and anti-freedom.
It is the government, not the Monarchy, that makes those laws. That is a fact.
I wish I could up-vote that comment a million times!
Thank you.
Oh. So how ’bout that FBI, and CIA, and the other alphabet agencies and departments that arbitrarily jail people they take offense at? How ’bout, for just one example, the J6 debacle? How ’bout government collusion with Big Tech and Big Pharma to censor us, and pull hard-earned medical licenses and ability to make a living of doctors and others who dissent from the government-preferred narratives about a whole host of things?
How ’bout hiring and arming all those brand-spanking new IRS “agents”?
How ’bout the current FBI raids on political opposition to the current regime?
I mean, while the exact same carbon copy isn’t made apparent by the media, what really is the difference between what’s been going on in the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and the good ol’ US of A?
Why do Social Security Administrators need guns and millions of rounds of ammunition? Or the USPS? What’s up with “the Department of Homeland Security”? Or the NSA and all the myriad other “intelligence community”? How’s that USA PATRIOT ACT, and the NDAA, and the MAUF workin’ out for us U.S. citizens?
I mean, you can nit pick about what THEY do and that WE aren’t (yet!), but what are the real differences as far as how things ALL OVER are getting worse, because of ALL governments?! How is ignoring that rational? How is choosing to hate British monarchy while turning a blind eye to our own form of that right here, right now, rational?
Got news for you, in case you haven’t noticed: The U.S. GOVERNMENT AND ALL ITS DEPARTMENTS AND AGENCIES AND PROJECTS AND PROGRAMS ARE FUNDAMENTALLY ANTI-AMERICAN AND ANTI-FREEDOM!! All over the world! In concert and cooperation with the UK, and Germany, and China, and France, and . . . !!!!!
We have to get our own house in order before throwing grenades at “our” government’s PARTNERS!!!
How do you propose to do this, once you take your envious eyes off Elizabeth II?
The world might have been a better place if that rebellion had been put down.
Anyway: her death mean that an epoch is over, so I really appreciate that this website takes note.
i guess for the same reason you got to post this comment. You could just have skipped this post. You don’t have to read everything here, and you aren’t required to agree with or like it. This isn’t the kind of post you debate on, and offer different arguments.
It certainly would have been classy for you to just pass on by.
The United Kingdom is fundamentally anti-American (i.e. no freedom of speech, no right to keep and bear arms).
And don’t tell me what I can and cannot say.
Empathy
We don’t. Some still do. That is their prerogative.
People who are not baseball fans still understand the historical significance of Cal Ripken, Jr’s record for consecutive games played, 2,632 (surpassing Lou Gehrig’s streak of 2,130 which many thought would never be matched). He’s a consequential player who achieved something historic.
In an age of social media phonies, drug addled pop tarts, and insignificant nobodies, the Queen is a person of actual, historical, significance.
Unlike Reagan’s funeral which I took half a day off from work to watch, I’ll go about my life uninterrupted by the Queen’s death. But that doesn’t mean she lived a historically inconsequential life.
When celebrities die, I tend to have the same reaction as you.
She wasn’t a “celebrity”.
yes, that was my point
Oh boy.
Turn the channel, sir.
We generally don’t care about the British CROWN, per se.
We care deeply about WHO was wearing that crown and what she did under that crown. We care deeply about OUR HERITAGE, OUR PEOPLE, no matter where we’re scattered in this world, whom SHE cared deeply for.
The UK has become an idiot’s paradise. But it could have been — and likely will become! — SO MUCH WORSE with her gone.
Love, compassion, responsibility, duty, LOYALTY to her PEOPLE.
That’s what SHOULD be cared about.
Who among OUR illustrious “commoners” in our highest, most exalted offices today — or for many, many decades past! — compares with the LADY who served her people and country as much as she was allowed to, under that British Crown?
Indeed.
God, Bless Queen Elizabeth II.
~My she Rest In Peace.

Your last sentence compelled me to note:
Someday, –hopefully MANY years from now–,
President Donald J Trump will be mourned and revered by the world.
Agree with your comment, including the sentiment about President Donald J Trump.
I care more about the British CROWN than the clown show called Parliament lead by the recently disgraced and falled clown himself, Boris.
But that was the point of Parliament, wasn’t it? To “represent” the people against the crown? To make the crown irrelevant? To grasp the power of the crown to rule the people?
A truly righteous leader, who truly loves the people against everything else, IS a “crown” of the people, no matter whether traditional “royalty,” “elite ruling (bankster Cabal) royalty,” or MP.
Elizabeth came closest to that than anyone else in modern/recent history (1300 A.D. to the present). SHE deserves to be recognized for who she was in relation to her station in life (no one chooses who or what he/she will be born into in this life, after all) and how she treated and regarded her people and her country while in that station.
Parliament is still a clown show. It will get worse. The British Crown has now expired, in the expanding and evil shadow of the banker “elite” Cabal and its Parliamentary clown puppets. Nothing but stupid clown puppets all around and all uninhibited and unrestrained, now.
Life’s wunnerful no matter how the rulers are classified: Monarchy or “Democracy.” Righteous dignity against the burgeoning chaos is now gone, the curtain is now fully rent, and all are exposed.
All so very true, GrayCat. Appreciate your post and wise words.
Do you know anything at all about how sons and daughters of royalty are reared and educated?
Did you choose to be born where you were and into what you were and then who you are, before you came of age and independence?
There are many, many good parents who nevertheless “failed” in the life choices and paths their children ultimately chose. There are horrible parents whose children nevertheless turned out very well.
“Miracles” happen every day. Who can explain it? Human nature is not fixed and necessarily predictable. At any stage of life.
Do you believe we’re all automatons without free will to make our own life choices once out from under our parents’ roof?
Very, very few monarchs are as revered and beloved as Elizabeth II was/is. You can find many “lists” of her achievements, online and offline. That she is so beloved and revered, in spite of being royalty, in spite of being a mere figurehead supposedly with no political power, opinions, or influence, I think testifies to her character. Is more necessary?
I am not a lover of monarchy/royalty. But I do believe in giving credit where it is due to overall goodness and grace and dignity. And she embodied all that and more. With her children and grandchildren now unimpeded by her own godly presence, I believe the English monarchy is a stinking, corrupt rubble pile, and likely will disappear through the anti-royalty sentiment of many Englishmen, Scots, Welsh, and Irish. And that may finally be a much-needed very good thing, in stopping stupid “immigration,” and beginning crackdowns on rampant crime, committed mostly by said immigrants and non-native Britons, and deportations of the alien element. I believe the backlash against the woke factions in Parliament will be deafening and merciless. I believe the hunger and thirst for the ancient heritage, their own heritage in their own country, as Enoch Powell foretold, will finally triumph.
And the rest of the world, God willing, can have the inspiration, the example, and the courage to follow through against TPTB globalist “elitist” banker oligarchy.
That day can’t come too soon. But I’m very much afraid it will be bloody and wrathful.
Queen Elizabeth II was the figurehead who held back this tide of blood for the sake of civility. She embodied the Christian principles good civilizations should embody. Without her, the anti-Christian factions will try to advance, and will finally be turned back, by blood and wrath.
But what she embodied will triumph, I hope, and a cleansed, beautiful, independent England, Scotland, Wales, and Ireland, free of coerced “membership” but united by their shared ancient heritage, will emerge. And I hope they will have the will and the foresight to maintain their relationships of independence from coerced “unity,” with good will and peace, prosperity, and free trade between them all, for the good of their own people.
Whether royalty or not, we’re all human, we all fall short of Christ’s ideal. I do. Do you?
The point is, that is what we should all be continuously striving for. Our standard of measure should be Him, not our neighbor, not ourselves. And our judgment should always be tempered with mercy. Yes?
2 Corinthians, chapters 10 and 11; James; Matthew, chapters 5 through 7; 18:21-23; 20; Luke 10; John 13 through 16; 1 John; Galatians; Colossians; Romans 12; 13:8-10
Do you know she gave Scripture readings and lessons via radio and TV? That she publicly declared her love for Jesus Christ Almighty God, and that Jesus is her Savior and example, and everything she did she strove to obey Him?
Which of our exalted leaders, from the highest offices to the lowliest bureaucrat, could even come close to any of that, especially today?
It humbles me. And only God knows the heart, and who truly belongs to Him. Therefore, I am willing to give Elizabeth II the benefit of the doubt. What her children and grandchildren and other assorted in line for “the British Crown” do is their own. Ezekiel 3; 18; 33. The father is not punished for the sins of the sons. The sons are not punished for the sins of the fathers. Each must answer for his own sins.
Since I paint birds and furry wildlife, I prefer fine point brushes. I’m not fond of broad brush strokes without consideration for fine details, and then call the painting what it is not, forcing people to “see” what is not there. We all make mistakes; none of us is perfect. It is a mistake to throw the baby out with the bathwater, isn’t it?
I think Elizabeth II embodied Camelot, as much as she could. That’s a great achievement in these days, don’t you think? We could all do with being mindful of Heaven and Heaven’s God. Don’t you think?
I completely understand where you are coming from. With the world literally going to hell in a hand basket and all.
But isn’t that the point: With the world literally going to hell in a hand basket and all.
The world is going nuts but she, in her office, is a metphorical reminder of what had been good days. She reminds us of our past, prosperity, and unity.
Perhaps part of our grieving is for ourselves and the current losses we have sustained with the picture of evil currently in front of us.
A paedophile is attracted to pre-pubescents, having sex with a 17 yo do not fit that description, still ugly for a man so much older but it happened for the purpose of blackmail I am sure.
When it comes to the Epstein complex it is far too easy to throw such words around without thinking for a moment about how that network was allowed -yes, allowed- to go on for years and years.
Do you believe that he hanged himself?
The world is going nuts because of the so called “Elites”. All of them are guilty
So you prefer to conflate the mother with the children? How does that compute? Somehow you believe she is responsible for the choices they made freely once they came of age and on their own? Why?
Is your mother or father responsible for your life choices? If you have children, grown children, are you responsible for their choices once out from under your authority? Are you evil because they may choose evil away from you?
How is she evil because of her children?
Are you familiar with the Bible stories of Adam and Eve and their children? Abraham and his children? The story of Samuel, Saul, and David? The story of David and his children? The stories of many of the kings of Israel and their children? Job and his children?
How is it you blame Elizabeth II for the sins of her children? How does that make rational sense?
She was a personality on the global stage. A relic of a different age who was especially nasty towards Lady Dinah who was a true humanitarian. All of which for me lessened even her stage presence. Now her idiot son will take her place, God help Britain.
I’ll tell you why.
Because her father King George VI, and the Queen Mom, stayed in London to help their people fight against the Nazis/ Hitler, extermination of the Jews and gypsies.
Queen Elizabeth took up that banner in 1952.
It’s the same fight we are fighting today against the extermination of We The People and the population at large.
Maybe you can connect these few dots. Many, many more but you sounds limited.
WW2 was about world domination, it took many years before jews entered the main story and gypsies are mostly still kept out of it.
Anyway: the recently passed queen was one of our last few true links back to that time, she was 13 when the war started so she even remembered the 1930s clearly.
At this time it is truly natural to feel some sentimentality and notions of times changing.
You cared enough to post a post about posting about it.
Oh , the Queen 😢
She was One of a Kind 💖
Fair Winds ,
Queen Elizabeth 👑
Grace, dedication and love of her country. I also shared her love of equine. The passing of an era. RIP Queen Elizabeth II
How about the Bush royalty? The Kennedys? The Kerry-Heinzes? Do you condemn them equally?
I was fortunate to be able to live in England for several years during the 80s-90s, and always greatly admired Queen Elizabeth.
She stood strong against so many currents of change during her reign, weathering them all.
May G-d bless her and keep her. She was a very great lady and an amazing queen.
She was steady. Knew what she believed in. Didn’t waver. Didn’t blow which ever way the wind was blowing.
Weirdest thing, isn’t it?
Americans, who have no time for royal frou-frou or pomp and ceremony from other queens and kings, drop to their knees and genuflect when the British monarch is mentioned. Same with the twits with royal titles–“Sir” Elton John, “Dame” so-and-so.
The Brits have so thoroughly propagandized us that many Americans think we owe them, or something.
The fact is that we have had more wars with the Brits than any other foreign power. They are the only foreign power that’s actually invaded our country. The Brits burned our capitol to the ground.
They ran covert operations to drag us into their European wars, and defense of their former colonial empire. Nothing in either of those wars for America, but for the British empire both World Wars were existential struggles to keep their paws on their global empire. Without American blood and treasure, that empire would have collapsed long before it did.
They speak a version of our language, and were masters of our original 13 colonies, but our forefather fought and died to get out from under their monarch’s repressive rule. They are masters of manipulation.
She let her nation pass into a woke state of cruel socialism and though she possessed no real power, she never used her bully pulpit to communicate with the people that the once great empire was becoming a shriveled evil island of misfits. She did her people no favors.
Obviously you know nothing about the United Kingdom but thanks for playing.
Wow, look at YOU being a total idiot… no pretending needed.
Who are you adressing here?
Someone named Tod I think. I’m not seeing his comment now though… maybe he got the boot? 😉
Jello…..regretfully, this thread is being carefully moderated due to those who felt it their duty to post disgusting comments.
Thanks Puddy (another wonderful lady I greatly respect)
I’d like to go on record here as saying these people are not worth babysitting. I vote to permanently toss their butts in the garbage can.
It is low to trash the dead. It’s lower still to do it here. Our Treepers know we aren’t that kind of old west anything goes saloon and the interlopers aren’t worth the time.
Ditto
I totally agree, Menagerie and thanks for showing up here this afternoon. Unfortunately, many sites this afternoon are not moderating decorum and comments, but then again, many of them never do. These same people I often see quoting scripture on other sites, are spewing some of the most vile comments imaginable.
(((((((((((((( ❤ )))))))))))))
Ya’ll ‘Breitbart Deputies’ are the cat’s meow!
I do understand why this thread need a certain level of attention from moderators, to put it mildly.
The saddest part of her passing, beyond the era that comes to an end, is that the Moron is now King. Charles is a weak man. At least his reign won’t be as long as Queen Elisabeth had. It is truly a sad day for Great Brittan, they lost a noble monarch and now have to face having Charles as King.
May the Queen RIP.
Charles might surprise everyone. I’m not immensely hopeful, but in contrast to the Queen, who had Duty thrust unexpectedly upon her with little warning, Charles has had literally decades to mull over the manner in which he wants to reign. He’s reportedly a fan of the low-key Scandinavian monarchs, and wants to trim the list of royals who live off the public purse, which will certainly be a good PR move this coming winter, with Brits deciding between heat and eat. I’m willing to give him a chance.
Everyone’s high minded when they talk about how they will rule when they get power.
I seriously doubt it. Charles has had lots of time to prepare and all he will do is drive the UK further into a GREEN ditch.
He may want to, but has no real power.
Liz Truss has already said they will drill for gas and oil and revide the North Sea exploration. She also said they will allow fracking on land that people agreed to. And she has promised to drop the price of electricity and gas and help those who cannot pay.
Interesting meeting, don’t you think? PM Truss and King Charles.
Time will tell. Politicians always say what the people want to hear.
I agree very much with him concerning modern architecture, he calls it brutal and alienating.
One the other hand -but nothing personal- a modern constitutional monarchy these days could probably have «globalist puppet» as a job description, I wish it was different but I still love my king Harald V.
They were second cousins btw, he and Elizabeth II.
It’s disgusting to me that Charles was allowed to marry his mistress, the mistress who made Diana so miserable.
Andrew should have been placed on the rack. I don’t know what Edward does. Anne seems quite respectable. William is harmless but a climate change twit, Harry is insufferable.
It’s not looking good for the British monarchy.
While I think Charles was a terrible husband to Diana, he remarried as a widower. He seems to have become a good husband and a good father.
While I am not terribly hopeful, I do hope that he will be a good king. That is the best for Britain and for the monarchy. I know many people are against the monarchy and inclined to get rid of them, but I think they play an important part in British life. The monarchy can be a stabilizing influence in daily life, as opposed to the revolving political doors in Parliament, and acts as a non-political diplomatic representative to other countries.
I agree with you and would add that the monarchy is possibly a part of how Britishers define themselves and their culture.
One Charles had the heir and the spare. Andrew was out of the picture.
I would have locked him up in the tower.
Harry and Meghan should have been stripped of their titles. Period.Pure evil.
They caused the Queen tremendous stress in her last years. Virginia Guiffre was a teenage-over the age of consent-prostitute.
She had lots of lovers apparently. LOTS
Diana knew what she was getting into and she had her own affairs.
Shy Di just knew how to manipulate the media.
Charles and Díana was a lovelessj arranged marriage with considerable age gap. Are you suggesting two people cannot get together after a divorce ? Diana brought her own drama to that relationship and afterwards.
I’ve always had a soft spot for Charles because, as a young boy, he seemed kind of lost. Probably felt a lack of attention from within the family. Be that as it may I was glad when he finally married Camilla who seems to have a good head on her shoulders and may possibly steer him away from some of his more extreme beliefs. Anyway I wouldn’t be so hard on him.
Someone soon to say to Charles, “I knew the Queen of England and you could not shine her shoes”.
Pray for England, they gonna need it
Looking at those ww2 pictures of hers , if you want a tear , watch Royal Night Out movie , some slapstick etc , but very touching – I tear up a bit thinking of last couple of scenes and now – anyway very nice remarks on Truth by President Trump , sincere gracious as always
Cheers, for the movie.
Looks like the Queens magic wand has been retired and now the trolls are coming out of the woodwork.
Mostly good comments here. But there are also a few that are just sick. So… to you people… why are you here? Why are you hanging out in our tree? You clearly don’t understand us.
Yes, and thankfully it appears ad rem & co have done a very good drop of cleaning out the trash. Some of the comments were just plain disgusting – and all from people I have never seen here before.
Thanks for noticing.
We have indeed noticed and very much appreciate all your hard work.
Three times I’ve begun to e-mail to give ya’ll a heads up, but luckily refreshed screen in time to find you had already been on the job and I did not need to.!
Thank you, ever so kindly, for your diligence and perseverance!
Ad Rem has been doing a good job, and I came to help her!
And I just noticed that there are 3 of you quickly cleaning up the uncalled for, ungracious, and ill considered posts on this thread–Thank you all for all that you do!
Thank you Stella!!
All hands on deck it appears. 👍🏼❤️
Thank you.
I will miss Queen Elizabeth.
Thanks for doing all the “cleaning”…had to look again to make sure I was in the treehouse! The trolls have found the last refuge to do what trolls do best.
I believe most regular Treepers consider this blog as our favorite place to visit on the internet. We appreciate the management’s dedication to keep it respectable and have the garbage removed. God bless you all.
Well one of my previous posts was a reply to a nasty post with a nasty song in it disparaging the Queen. That original post Must have been deleted so my post is kind of hanging in mid air referring to an invisible comment, which I thought was pretty disrespectful. Anyway, there was a purpose to my post at one point, lol.
Stella and probably other Admin have been all been on the ‘clean up’ ball, as usual!
There are a lot of cleanups in the aisles, it appears. 🙂
Tuesday night I dropped my 19 year old daughter off at the airport to fly to London by herself to study in London. As I type this, FindMyPhone pinpoints her location as right outside Buckingham Palace, and she’s beginning to text pics. Quite a first day across the pond!
She’ll have the opportunity to witness history! She needs to be careful, be aware, and keep her head on a swivel. Buddy system.
One of my favorite photos of President Trump and Queen Elizabeth. You can tell that they were both enjoying the moment:
Yep. I had always liked the lady. But the way she and Don got along is what really cemented my feelings about her. I’m not ashamed to admit I nearly cried when I heard the news today.
I was thrilled when President Trump and First Lady Melania got to go to England and meet Queen Elizabeth. It was such an honor for them and our country to warmly welcome them at that stunning state dinner. I often wondered if that was her last state dinner. Anyone know?
I don ;t know I know Biden didn;t get a state dinner , he got tea with her
but i think that was it. ( COVID of course)
No, Biden didn’t. She must have been appalled by that baffoon. I wondered if any other heads of states got a stte dinner since Trump. Just curious..
Great photo.
lindarella, Did you see that we both posted this picture
~at the same exact time? 🤔
Yes — I dialed it up to make sure it posted, and saw yours RIGHT after mine! Ha… Great minds think alike… 🙂

Yes, I think she genuinely enjoyed their time , so nice to see , you can’t fake it in those candid shots – all much to chagrin of the TDS and Euro Union Trump haters
UK daily mail also has picture of Obama and Queen at same type dinner -the trademark big smile by O , not so much by QE ( please don’t raise the Woke flag on that , ok )
I’d say that they were two people comfortable in their own skin; not needing to pretend or impress.
Both of them extremely accomplished (although differently) and well known .
So, in a way they were kindred spirits ….at ease with each other.
-It seemed they naturally and genuinely respected each other
They also had Wales in common. 😜
He made her laugh. IMO thats a good thing.
The comradery between Queen Elizabeth and President Trump was amazing.
Yes.
When watching it all live, it seemed that President Trump –and First Lady Melania
treated Queen Elizabeth with the due and proper respect
~one might expect from the world leader.
They did not approach nor treat the Queen
like an old frail lady, like a grandma, like a has been commoner…;
~ all touchy, hands-on …. and over-done (for the camera) smiles.
You can tell he respected the Queen. he buttoned his jacket for the
occassion. POTUS rarely buttoned his Jacket..
Yup !
Yup👍🏼
RIP HRH QE2.
So a deeply respected, incorruptible and upstanding monarch dies, leaving behind nothing but compromised, dim witted mediocrities of various levels of depravity as her royal heirs.
Oh, and also the second most powerful deep state intelligence apparatus in the world.
Hmmmm, I wonder which is going to prevail in the ensuing power struggle.
No need to wonder. They are one.
Please do not tar William with the same brush.
That stunning passage from Ecclesiastes which begins:
For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven:
a time to be born, and a time to die;
ends with this line
a time for war, and a time for peace.
When we stare death in the eye it should be time to be striving for peace.
Charles is a king who has embraced and promoted the most destructive causes of our times.
Most notably, Charles is both a climate catastrophist and an advocate for the depopulation agenda.
Charles’s initiatives, and his promotion of the destructive Paris Climate Accords and the U.N.’s Climate Change Conference objectives, has helped position the U.K. on the precipice of energy disaster.

It won’t only be Charles — his wife will have a lot to say as well.
Imo, he adopted his views from his wife.
I doubt it. He was talking to the trees years ago
Glad you said it; I was thinking it. He started his gardens at Highgrove before he married Diana. Yes, Camilla committed adultery with Charles, but I doubt that she influenced his views on the environment. He has had a lot of nutty beliefs, and some strange people counseling him as a young man, particularly Laurens Van der Post (who was a big ‘conservationist’).
The people will not stand for this imo
Winters are v cold in the UK and lack of heating and food scarcity will cause riots if this was allowed to happen.
Look at the protests in the UK against the vaccine
I have a question:
The news said the queen was a patron of more than 600 charities.
Why do we need government if there are AT LEAST 600 charities in the UK?
Because a government should be limited and just govern and not be involved in charities, maybe?
Queen Elizabeth’s longtime homeopath was killed in 2019. After Dr Fishers death the Queen kept it secret who her new homeopath was. This amazing lady will be sorely missed. She deeply and quietly supported many important aspects of Healthcare. May she rest in peace.
If you say, The Queen was homeschooled, liberal heads explode.
Some truly beautiful pictures on Breitbart of the Queen. She was stunning. https://www.breitbart.com/europe/2022/09/08/britains-queen-elizabeth-ii-dead-charles-is-king/
Better ones here😜
She was such a great person, but Charles and Andrew are awful (Andrew in particular) and Harry is awful, and that actually falls on Elizabeth. I would have been a much tougher Queen and demanded that my kids and grandkids act properly or lose their privileges. Princess Anne could have taken over.
Does seem as if the women in this family were much stronger & more moral than the men! Sad time for Britain, they are facing very bad financial times without their beloved Queen. Many will no longer honor the Royals.
I won’t criticize any of the remarks here . I wasn’t raised that way.
That would be unkind and ignorant to say the least.
May she Rest In Peace.
But speaking of ignorant I ,myself being so, just can’t wrap my head around the monarchy thing.
I don’t understand what draws people to it .
I hope that In most cases it was a lack of understanding that was causing so many disrespectful comments.
I think some of it has to do with the older generation (which I’m part of at 84) where, especially, little girls were read fairy tales about being a princes when they grew up.
It’s not just the monarchy – it was Her Majesty that embodied duty and ethics to her job. She was a true ‘statesman’…..respected and listened to.
As to the continuance of the monarchy…..let’s keep that discussion for another day and mourn Queen Elizabeth.
Agreed
Part of the great generation. RIP
Rest in Peace.
No matter what the whirlwind was around her — from her uncle, sister, son and grandson — she was the steady rudder in the ship that kept the essence of the country steady and on course (at least visually). I really admired her and followed her with great interest.
Growing up many of my paternal ancestors lived on Cape Cod and my family lived close by and spent summers on the Cape. As I kid, I always ‘wondered’ about my grandmother and great aunt’s little lilt when they spoke. It was decades later, as an adult, that I realized they were born in England. My dad died when I was in my late twenties and all he ever said that she immigrated to Canada and then moved to MA.
Most all my ancestors go way back to England. I loved England when I used to travel there and I loved Queen Elizabeth. I even had an opoortunity to stay at Treetops in Kenya, where she was on safari when her dad, the King, died and she became Queen (if I remember the story from 40 years ago. At least that is how Treetops told the story.
I am glad the Queen didn’t live to see UK crash and burn. It would have broken her heart.
I will miss Queen Elizabeth.
Thank you.
Well done.
RIP Queen Elizabeth! Prayers up for all who mourn in GB.
Charles isn’t fit to be king, that’s why this wonderful woman didn’t retire. God save England now that Charles will be king.
That’s the problem with Kings. Inherited title eventually leads to disaster. That’s in part why the Brits got rid of theirs … albeit much later than the rest of the world. A strnage thing British Royalty. Its like they are Senators from birth.
One of the Queen’s assistants said in an interview today: “She had a soft spot for President Trump.”
She probably understood what Trump was doing for the U.S. And I can’t imagine the Queen wanted the UK to be part of the EU.
Can’t wait to see how the “Left” is gonna deal with stuff like that. Are they gonna trash Elizabeth because she liked him? We can only HOPE they are that stupid!
So now Charles is free to change his name to Arthur to fulfill the prophecy.
These really are the end of times.
It seems that he has chosen Charles III.

Thank you for the link. I didn’t know the “Arthur” reference.
All I know is the Stone of Scone.
Is Charles going to save something?
Many people don;t know this but England did come very close to having
a actual King Arthur , Henry the VIII older brother was the future King
and Prince Arthur but he died at I think in his teens and that is how
Henry the VIII became in line to be king.
I was just thinking how much I hate that Andrew and Harry caused such big problems for the Queen as she approached her final days. And it never got better. I hope those two miserable fools are shut out by Charles and William.
It went so quickly from “We are concerned about her health” to “She’s dead.” I’m not aware that she had any serious chronic health problems, so it’s all rather sudden.
You weren’t aware? I look at British media a lot so I was aware, she had to scale back her appearances months ago.
Retired Magistrate here: She was 96 years old. She probably just “wore out.” I just turned 75 and I certainly am wearing out; I can’t imagine what it would be like to live to 96 and serve in the capacity that she did. She is now at rest.
Oh boy, can I relate.
❣️❣️❣️
2 days ago she met the new Prime Minster so whatever finally happened must
have happened quickly.. She has been frail for months now but she was up and about
and doing her job 2 days ago.
She had bone cancer
I hope this works, it’s a wonderful anecdote, well told, that is a good window into what kind of person she was.
That’s a wonderful story, and one I had not heard before.
It must have been lovely to work for her. A Coldstream guardsman I used to know was a guard at the palace. The Queen would come out in kerchief and wellies. As she passed the guardsman she would say, “Good morning soldier.” to which he replied, “Good morning, Mum.”
Thank you for posting this anecdote, it is indeed a delight!
Absolutely marvelous! Thank you for posting this wonderful anecdote!
That is SO cool. 🙂 And what’s even cooler is that knowing a little bit about Elizabeth, I bet it’s totally TRUE!
Elizabeth II took the throne when I was 11. Our school Weekly Reader wrote about it with a picture of her. She was my ideal. I tried to walk as she did. Pictures of the Queen with our President Trump warm my heart. I see her now enfolded in the arms of The Christ with Philip’s arms to next enfold her. Our beautiful blue world misses her. God bless the Queen.
Hope Charles III does better than Charles I.
She was a devout Christian
The people of Great Britain might be mourning even more so that Charles will be King now.
A minor correction to be noted. QE2 is the longest reigning British monarch, surpassing Queen Victoria; however, she is only the second longest reigning monarch. Put into context, longest reigning monarchs of sovereign states are:
Louis XIV (France) – 72 years, 110 days
QE II (UK) – 70 years, 214 days
There are longer reigning monarchs of non-sovereign states, as well as longer historical reigns that cannot be verified.
Or, another way to look at it, the longest reigning female monarch of sovereign states.
Leon, I think the article says the longest living monarch in history, not the longest reigning.
Not according to Prince Harry!
I always loved The Queen’s photobombing pictures!! Maybe others can post some. I neve seem to be able to post images anymore.
