While the institutions target Donald Trump himself, the political apparatus that supports the institutions is targeting Donald Trump supporters. Last night’s speech in Philadelphia was a full-frontal assault on MAGA republicans, Donald Trump voters and supporters. There is no parsing or backtracking that can obfuscate the words used and the specific intention of them. Joe Biden would not read the script from the teleprompter if his handlers thought there was no benefit to it. He is saying what he says with purpose, specific intent and motive.
It is in the background of those words, where we should be paying very close attention right now to who remains silent. If you pay attention, you will notice the professional political class, the RNC club and the people who make the decisions about the club agenda, are conspicuously silent. As an example, go look for Ron DeSantis’ response to the Philadelphia remarks, you will notice a curious silence, which, hopefully, people will connect to the other moment of curious silence in the aftermath of the Mar-a-Lago raid.
How long does it take to respond?
How long did it take you to formulate an opinion of those disparagements you heard?
It can be uncomfortable to see, and even more uncomfortable to accept, the nature of what exists in silence…. agreement.
Other than a single rather timid tweet from the personal account of the acceptable republican, there was nothing in the aftermath of the Mar-a-Lago raid. Evaluations were being conducted. Those evaluations are seemingly again being conducted by the management team of the acceptable republican right now. Silence in the face of tyranny is agreement.
Those who have traveled these pages through the years know what it is like to accept discomfort. However, it is in the bigger picture that we can formulate plans to overcome the opposition. That said, all is not bad news… In fact, the red speech from Joe Biden is actually awesome news. What this entire effort tells us is that they cannot find a way to get rid of the MAGA uprising, they are getting more desperate. In the background we can be assured the republican brand managers and image consultants are feverously working their polling and focus groups, and discovering they are not making a dent in the effort.
The Republicans are aligned with Left-wing Democrats throwing everything, including the kitchen sink and indictments against Donald Trump, yet his influence over outcomes within the party is unaffected. All of the effort in the world, against the MAGA coalition, is not having the desired effect. This must be making the managers of the approved candidate very frustrated.

“It’s a huge opportunity, but instead of taking it, we are purging the party and starting civil wars over whether people are RINOs. … The idea that there are RINOs, people that really don’t support Republican principles, is simply not true,” he said.
“What the president is defining as RINOs are people who are true blue Republicans and conservatives but who just have a problem with Trump personally. This is all personal to Trump. … This is a man who’s willing to say that if you don’t do things my way and if I’m not the nominee, I’m taking my ball and going home. I will sabotage anyone you put up,” Barr continued.
“He not only does that in the presidential election, but he’ll also do that in state elections. It’s my person or it’s sabotage. I know I shouldn’t feel good about DeSantis but what can I say, I knew he was a fraud from the very beginning. I’ve had many a arguments over this issue. As I said before a friend and I got into a heated debate over DeSantis and he stopped speaking to me as a result. Well what do you know. I got a call from that same friend the other day who grudgingly accepted what was staring him the face, he tried to apologize and I simply told him there was no need. The club is good at what it does, the most important fact is that your are humble enough to admit being wrong.
I have a lot of respect for him and continue to do so.

It is extremely important here always to keep in mind that the DNC and RNC are the private entities that Sundance has long described. They are beholden to their donors– and we little people do not have a place on that exalted list. You will rarely have an opportunity to vote for a MAGA candidate in federal or even statewide races.
What we have learned in the past year is that we can have a massive influence on elections to the local school board, and depending upon the size of the community in question, on council and commissioner races at the municipal and county level. This is where our dollars, and much of our energy, are best spent.
Support your local sheriff, but only if he is on our side. And as for the bewildering lists of judges that clutter up the backside of so many ballots, your family attorney may be willing to parse the good, the bad, and the ugly if you pose the question.

Technically I am a MAGA Indepedent. I left the Dem party in 2008 and I never joined any other party, and when asked about my political affiliation I always say “I’m not a Republican but I always vote Republican”. So I don’t show up in the Republican counts.
I have known many Independents and Libertarians who love Trump. I’m not in contact with all of them now, but I suspect if any of them thought Trump wasn’t the better choice in 2020 they now realize their grave mistake.

Colossally great leaders like Trump are exceedingly rare… they appear once in a century (if we are lucky)… they are willing and able to face, battle and defeat the greatest evils. Above-average leaders like Desantis, who do some good but also compromise some with the evil (sometimes by remaining silent, as here), are more common, but still unusual. Average and terrible leaders are commonplace. Then there is Kari Lake, who appears to be WAY better than Desantis… indeed I think she has been hugely inspired by Trump’s example, and I think it’s likely that many more of her caliber will appear, yet she (and they) are not among the rarest of the rare where Trump stands with Washington.
Any Republican running for office and NOT appearing on Bannon’s Warroom is suspect, I suspect.
