While the institutions target Donald Trump himself, the political apparatus that supports the institutions is targeting Donald Trump supporters. Please pay close attention to this, and please pay even closer attention to the voices you do not hear. Silence can be deafening, but only if you are paying attention to it.
Last night’s speech in Philadelphia was a full-frontal assault on MAGA republicans, Donald Trump voters and supporters. There is no parsing or backtracking that can obfuscate the words used and the specific intention of them. Joe Biden would not read the script from the teleprompter if his handlers thought there was no benefit to it. He is saying what he says with purpose, specific intent and motive.
It is in the background of those words, where we should be paying very close attention right now to who remains silent. If you pay attention, you will notice the professional political class, the RNC club and the people who make the decisions about the club agenda, are conspicuously silent. As an example, go look for Ron DeSantis’ response to the Philadelphia remarks, you will notice a curious silence, which, hopefully, people will connect to the other moment of curious silence in the aftermath of the Mar-a-Lago raid.
How long does it take to respond?
How long did it take you to formulate an opinion of those disparagements you heard?
It can be uncomfortable to see, and even more uncomfortable to accept, the nature of what exists in silence…. agreement.
Other than a single rather timid tweet from the personal account of the acceptable republican, there was nothing in the aftermath of the Mar-a-Lago raid. Evaluations were being conducted. Those evaluations are seemingly again being conducted by the management team of the acceptable republican right now. Silence in the face of tyranny is agreement.
Those who have traveled these pages through the years know what it is like to accept discomfort. However, it is in the bigger picture that we can formulate plans to overcome the opposition. You are not the crew who would drag the Trojan Horse into the fortress. You are the crew who would build the kindling underneath it far away from Troy and then watch what happens when lit. You are the people who can see the false constructs.
That said, all is not bad news… In fact, the red speech from Joe Biden is actually awesome news. What this entire effort tells us is that they cannot find a way to get rid of the MAGA uprising, they are getting more desperate. In the background we can be assured the republican brand managers and image consultants are feverously working their polling and focus groups, and discovering they are not making a dent in the effort.
The Republicans are aligned with Left-wing Democrats throwing everything, including the kitchen sink and indictments against Donald Trump, yet his influence over outcomes within the party is unaffected. All of the effort in the world, against the MAGA coalition, is not having the desired effect. This must be making the managers of the approved candidate very frustrated.

I didn’t think much of the controversy over DeDantis’s condemnation of the Mar A Lago raid. I thought his response was fine. But his failure to condemn Biden’s speech is troubling. DeSantis supposedly holds MAGA views, after all. The people who support him are MAGA, and Biden just said he wanted to wipe them out, in a speech that looked like it was set in Satan’s home and given by a hateful, militaristic tyrant. If he can’t condemn that he isn’t MAGA.

If he disappointed people by not responding immediately or if his answer (if he has made one) was not adequate in their opinion, that is unfortunate. Immediately lashing back at an adversary can backfire. It’s better to take the time to determine the best way and time to respond.

DeSantis may just be testing the waters well before actual commitment. He is far more valuable to MAGA as governor of Florida than he would be as Vice-President. I’ve liked everything he’s done in Florida, especially concerning Covid. If Trump wasn’t running, I would probably vote for him. If Trump is running, there’s no chance of Desantis beating him under any conditions, not even close. Desantis is not the enemy, and we are going to need much help from all corners of the country first to win, and then to govern effectively. If Trump is successful, then Desantis can be waiting in the wings in 4 or 8 years.

Is a response really necessary ? Silence could be taken as acceptance., but a response to this speech could be seen as indicative of believing that the current illegitimate regime can harm people who follow the rightful president Donald Trump and would see him win the presidency in 2024, should he choose to run. People with whom I watched this speech were offended and the commentators on the news channel on which we watched it acted as if anyone who supported President Trump was imminent danger of being dragged off to a secret prison as an enemy of the state. This was a conservative news outlet ! I, on the other hand was more amused and reassured than angry or afraid. Everything the imposter-in-chief accused Donald Trump and his supporters of fit him so perfectly. Joe Biden is the one who is facing a threat. The threat he and those who installed him face is defeat by the so-called MAGA supporters. Demonizing your opponent is a political tactic as old as time. It can be effective or it can fail miserably. If Biden’s hold on the government is secure and the majority of the American people are pleased with the condition of their country under his benevolent guidance, why the vicious and ridiculously hypocritical speech aimed at over 70 million Americans who have done nothing illegal or violent to attempt to oust him, even though they and everyone in the country, including Biden himself, (who managed to get caught on tape admitting it) knows that Donald Trump won the 2020 election. Nothing violent. Even the January 6th “insurrection” footage shows no action of any kind that could be called insurrection. There was however one tragic death. The victim was not a Trump supporter who was acting in a threatening manner. She wasn’t even armed. The person who killed her was a Capitol guard who known to be trigger happy. On this occasion it resulted in him killing a person who had the misfortune to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. If Biden or the Democrats dare to make accusations of insurrection or classify supporters of someone they oppose not merely politically, but for whom they have an obvious personal hatred, they really should be required to provide examples that prove those accusations if they wish to be taken seriously. If loathing Joe Biden and the Democrats who pull his strings is insurrection, then Joe Biden and his puppet masters were themselves guilty of insurrection during the entire four years of Donald Trumps’s presidency. They never stopped their lying persecution of him even though each successive attempt revealed further evidence of their crimes rather than any wrongdoing on Trump’s part.
As for answering his speech, I think it should be ignored as the nonsense it is. Lashing back gives it a legitimacy it doesn’t deserve. It is merely his latest desperate attempt to drum up fading support. His approval ratings are abysmal and the midterms are closer every day. Last week it was the pathetic attempt to garner gratitude and thus votes by forgiving repayment of student loans. The number of people who benefit from this idiocy is minuscule compared to the combination of people who 1) did fulfill their financial obligations to repay their student loans and 2) the people who paid their children’s college tuition out of their own pockets and 3) people who worked years after graduating high school to earn enough money to pay for a college education. Next week it will be something else. The democrats are afraid and a democrat who fears losing to Trump is going to resort to any action however foolish.
However, I am not a politician. If the breaking the “silence” is the best political action thing to take, then of course someone should do so. I would enjoy a response that demands Biden’s accusations of insurrection and treason be backed up by proof. Can he produce a video of a city set on fire and it’s citizens being threatened, injured, robbed, and killed by “MAGA-Republicans ? Can he name a Trump supporter who tried to kill a Supreme Court Justice ? Actually, if challenged to do so, he would probably invent such examples, liar that he is, so perhaps that is not the right tactic.
