I’ve been pondering this disconnect for several weeks as the messaging from inside the beltway, including their expressed priorities, seem even more disconnected than before. The DC bubble has always been present; however, lately the disconnect is even more profound.
Perhaps the increased distance in priorities can be explained by federal politicians cancelling townhall meetings and constituent engagement due to the pandemic. Perhaps politicians are holding party positions disconnected from the population they are supposed to represent because they have spent two years physically distancing from the voters. Whatever the cause, the disconnect is now more severe.
The contrast is even more significant when it comes to the far-left politicians, because they travel amid a very closed communal tribe where outside opinions are considered toxic to their sense of identity. The term “safe spaces” was literally coined because leftists cannot handle differences of opinion.
The professional leftist arguments are generally flawed, illogical, antithetical to common values and historically weak. As an outcome their advocate policy positions are weak and easy to deconstruct when challenged. To avoid being challenged they rarely hold open discussions with constituents in their districts without extreme vetting measures to avoid confrontation.
Regardless of root cause, most Democrats are severely disconnected from the economic reality of their district citizens. This is evidenced in a Politico report today discussing the example of Democrat House member Katie Porter of California.
As the article notes, Ms. Porter told the House Democrat Caucus of her experience in the ‘real world’ with people who are grocery shopping. The perplexed Democrats sat quietly listening to the stories of how price increases for food and gasoline are seriously hurting something called ‘working-class‘ people.
The ideological Democrat caucus was stunned to hear of these stories from a place called Main Street USA, where people go shopping for food and stuff.
However, Ms Porter is optimistic that for the first time since she has been in office, the House Democrats could now have an understanding of how rising energy prices, increasing gasoline prices and major jumps in food prices might be a problem for Americans who do not live in DC.
(Politico) […] Only after Rep. Katie Porter put bacon in her cart at her local grocery store recently did she notice that its price had spiked to $9.99 a pound. Reluctantly, she put the package back.
It was a dose of reality that Porter, a California progressive and single mother of three, has long understood. But she’s not sure all of her Democratic colleagues share her interest in connecting to average Americans’ experiences outside the Beltway.
When Porter gave an emotional speech about how inflation has been hitting her family for months during a private House Democratic Caucus meeting last week, she said it seemed like the first time the personal toll of high consumer prices had sunk in for some lawmakers in the room.
“Too often, Congress recognizes issues too late,” Porter, a top GOP target this fall in a swing district, said in an interview. “I had a colleague mention to me, ‘We’re not seeing it in the polls’ … Well, you don’t know what to ask.”
For Porter, the episode revealed how much work Democrats still need to do to assure voters they understand everyday anxieties, particularly inflation’s strain on family budgets. She’s not alone: Some Democrats have warned for months their party is falling short when it comes to communicating to an increasingly exasperated public. (read more)
That is a brilliant cartoon.
You summed up the State of the Union quite nicely.
It only leaves out the part that his brother in law owns the paper straw factory…
Have y’all seen the paper strays in the plastic wrappers? Symbolism over substance.
Another couple of examples; I go hiking in the mountains of western NC..(Asheville is nearby)…I have seen dirty discarded masks some hanging from tree limbs. But what is really disgusting is that people bring their dogs along and when the dog craps, they put it in a plastic bag and leave it along the side of the trail. WTF??? What…do they think??? Someone else is going to come along and pick it up or, wait, they think doggie bag plastic disintegrates faster than poo? These people are a danger to society.
Maybe the discarded masks should be used to scoop puppy poop. At least they’d work properly for that task.
I assume you didn’t see the video.
“… Regardless of root cause, most Democrats are severely disconnected from the economic reality of their district citizens …”
Your accurate symbolism over substance comment is perfectly confirmed by this one sentence in the article!!!
Another “symbolism over substance” example – Maxine Waters living in a white gated & guarded neighborhood, far away from her welfare plantation constituents – while she steals campaign money and tax funded program financing to turn her family into multi-millionaires.
Reminds me of the Federal Reserve dude giving a speech in New York in or around 2011. Bragging about the new iPad features, someone in the crowd hollered “I can’t eat an iPad!”
We have 100% takeover of America with our own politicians thinking they’re Marie Antoinette and will do everything to keep it that way
MAy They reap what they sow
Personal thought here: The political class don’t even like America, let along love this country. Sort of like many of the so called immigrants feel….they don’t love America, they just want what we give away…..only more of it and continually.
It is important for their frail psyches that they prove they are better than you. The real world does not exist outside of their psychodramas.
Many new Americans are much more conservative than we realize. My neighbor Armando has been here ten years, is illegal, and blew my mind the other month when he started speaking about how the latin news is lying. He said we shouldn’t be involved in Ukraine, the jabs were useless, latin news was pushing hard for masks and jabs when he felt it was little more than the flu. He continues, Biden is a terrible president and that he regularly argues with other latin people about all of the above. He gets it all on his own. I helped fill in some of the blanks about how the gov is really one party and uses Ukraine as a laundering facility where they pass “aid” then family members get hired into executive positions with no experience. I also explained how the machine is using illegals for cheap labor and hoping to use them for votes. He told me that many illegals already vote because they have obtained drivers licenses and that the lefties don’t care if they vote. He says you can get a license in California then go anywhere and trade it for that states license. He gets zero assistance or free money but admits that many with children abuse the system for new cars and a good lifestyle. He just wants to work hard for a fair pay and have a safe place to live. I was kinda shocked, I told him no matter what they tell you, you are a republican, your not racist, work hard, don’t want handouts and believes in less gov regulation. My friend you are a conservative.
He’s still a squatter. Sorry.
An illegal foreign squatter.
Encouraging. God bless Armando.
You are encouraging Armando and everyone to keep coming across the border and take advantage of the citizens of America. I am not saying be mean but this doesn’t help at all to enable the situation.
Help him obtain legal citizenship.
We are still a country of Laws. If Armando is not here legally, then he’s not here under the laws of this country period. He sounds like someone I would like to have for a neighbor. I agree with Eagle61 in helping him obtain legal citizenship. Earning the right to be a legal citizen really give you the sense of belonging. I hope all goes well for him.
Armanda is a criminal who is breaking our laws. Laws aren’t for some people, like them or not. Laws are for everyone. How do you know he’s telling the truth about “zero” assistance? SMH,.. nonsense like this is why we have so many illegals.
There is a sound REASON why LEGAL immigrants are required to attend and pass a class on American government; with a test very few College graduates could pass.
It has tough questions like “name the 3 branches of Government”. The curriculum USED to be taught in elementary school,…American Govt.
Now, someone can graduate from University without EVER having taken a Course covering this material.
They got rid of civics classes back in the early 1970s in North Carolina for example. Probably earlier in the Northeast.
An illegal conservative.
I don’t know what to think of that.
As much as you like your neighbor,
you are gonna catch some flak here
for your post.
Personally, I’d strongly urge him to do whatever
needs to be done to become legal.
Help him, if need be.
If I-actually cared about the guy,
that’s what I would do.

The same is true of all the political elites across the West—Sweden, France, Germany, Ireland, Britain, all of them (except Hungary, maybe)—every single country ruled by a treasonous, out-of-touch and out-of-control political Establishment; a globalist elite with more in common with each other than the populations they rule and parasitically live off, their only loyalty is to their bank accounts.
Gee the way you put it I couldn’t help visualizing the middle ages with lords, ladies vassal villages and serfs.
The ruling class just passed a law requiring all cars to have a kill switch by the year 2035. So that good government will be able to shut off your car whenever they feel like it.
Funny you should say that…
A myth that democracy frees us from a hereditary political class. As illustration, the 2019 British parliament has 44 MPs married or related to other current or former MPs, which might not be bad out of 650 MPs but actually reveals only a glimpse of incestuous nature of modern politics, the ‘liberalocracy’, to use Patrick Deneen’s term. Must also consider the plethora of govt. offices, from devolved to local govt., through PCCs and mayors, to quangos and SPADs, and then there is the sprawling EU bureaucracy; e.g. Stephen Kinnock MP, son of former Labour Party leader Neil Kinnock, married Helle Thorning-Schmidt, MEP and former Danish Statsminister (PM)—reminiscent of 19th C. royal marriages where a minor Bavarian prince marries a Moldavian duchess.
The US as bad with HW Bush 41 succeeded by son, GW 43, and him in turn nearly succeeded by brother ¡Jeb!; and Bill Clinton 42 succeeded by wife Hilary as Democratic POTUS candidate (see also ‘Political Dynasties: An American Tradition’ (link)).
Canada (link) is the same, Australia (link) too, Ireland (link), and elsewhere (link).
The more one looks into the various political offices in ‘democracies’, the more one finds a self-perpetuating Political Class separate from rest of us, all marrying and related to each other.
John Adams warned of this 235 years ago:
(Adams, John. “Defence of the Constitutions of Government of the United States of America.” (1787) The Works of John Adams, edited by Charles Francis Adams, vol. 6. Boston, 1851. 54.)
Might as well restore dukes and barons; aristocracy’s transfer of power at least transparent.
That may be so, but illegal aliens have a far higher percentage of people on welfare than American citizens do.
And we all know what happened to Marie Antoinette and Louis XVI. Works for me. I want a front row seat, beer and pizza
Save me a seat
Actually, they think they are America and they are the government along with the Capitol. When I say they think they ARE the government, I mean literally. So if you attack them or criticize them they see it as you are attacking THE Government, ie “our “democracy.
Truthfully, I believe they think they are gods.
“For Porter, the episode revealed how much work Democrats still need to do to assure voters they ….
UNDERSTAND .. ANXIETIES.
… Some Democrats have warned for months their party is falling short when it comes to …
COMMUNICATING…
to an increasingly exasperated public.”
Work to fix the problem? ROFL!! Of course not!! Work to show they “understand”. Falling short on communication between agencies? States? Nations?
Uh. No. Falling short on how to communicate when people express exasperation.
remember Bill Clinton’s famous line: “I feel your pain.“
He never felt any ones pain, he doesn’t know how to “feel”.
Or ” You better put some ice on that”
Bill Clinton really does have empathy. It is part of his sociopathy. He is a sadist. He gets off on causing pain and getting away with it. Thus the rapes.
Bill Clinton also said “You’ve got to spread the corn where the hogs can see it.”
They regard us as hogs: livestock.
I think they are depending on Dominion again.
https://www.foxnews.com/politics/biden-voter-fraud-organization-video-gaffe
And also depending on the above…as was amply demonstrated in the documentary “2,000 Mules”.
Indubitably.
“50 ways to steal an election.”
–Dims everywhere
I hate to generalize, but we are talking about an entire political party here and not just one or two people. Speaking to people’s feelings and trying to change or control how we communicate is a woman’s way of thinking. A petty, useless, shrewish woman’s way. Seeing a problem and fixing a problem is how a normal man responds. This is why women love to sit around and bitch about nothing for hours at a stretch, then get mad if a man tries to fix whatever it is she’s bitching about.
If you let women control your politics, you’ll wind up with a bunch of shrews who do nothing but sit around having little pow-wows and talking about everybody’s feelings. Nothing will get fixed. You can be offended and call me names all you want, but you have to wake up and smell the coffee before you find yourself living under an overpass because of them.
Extremely well said.
As someone who has been married 22 years- this ^^^^
Even after 22 years, I have to remind my wife not to come to me complaining about an issue and not expect me to try and solve the problem. I tell her- if you just want someone to go along with your complaining, call your best friends; I’m tired of you getting angry cuz I either don’t agree or start giving you solutions. She always says, “I just need you to listen.” To which I reply “I do and I have a solution.”
I excuse myself regularly by telling the Mrs “I’m not a good listener”.
Its like riding a bike; you can say “I don’t know how”, or you can get on and learn.
There are ‘tricks’ you CAN learn, if you have the desire.
Asking open ended questions (?’s that can’t be answered yes/no).
And, as they are answering, instead of thinking about what YOU are going to say once they stop talking,..refine that.
LISTEN to what they are saying, for clues as to the NEXT open ended question you will ask.
This communicates to them, in a profound way, that you are REALLY listening to them.
Everyone likes to talk about themselves, few are good listeners. Be a good listener, and the World is your oyster.
Chicken. LOL
Wow, does that ever sound familiar. Think you nailed it, Dwayne.
I remember years ago being told by my mother that men are “fixers” and women are “feelers”.
I will say, though, in our defense, there are women who have the ability to do both; feel and fix. Unfortunately, they are few and far between.
The qualities “we” ascribe to the two genders, for ease of discussion and as generalities, are greatly exagerated.
There are man who are seeking commitment is relationships, and there are women who are not, for instance.
Our culture tends to produce relatively few well rounded, emotionally secure individuals, of either gender; Men or Women who “can do both”.
In my SECOND marriage, I have learned; sometimes people need to go through a process, like the “5 stages of grief”.
FIRST, they need to VENT.
They need to verbally and mentally “blow off steam” because they are PISSED.
I find this applies to me, as well. I don’t want to talk about, or hear about possible solutions, I am not READY for that.
FIRST, I need to dump out all this anger and resentment, etc. that I am feeling, and just have someone else LISTEN, without comment, other than asking “What else?”
THEN I am ready to start talking and thinking about possible solutions.
Its human nature. And, as you allow them to vent, you get all the information you need, to be able to work with them on a solution.
My first marriage lasted 7 years, this one going on 22.
“FIRST, I need to dump out all this anger and resentment, etc. that I am feeling, and just have someone else LISTEN, without comment, other than asking “What else?”
Splitting wood with an ax is very therapeutic.
First marriage lasted 31 years. Then she went to work and the harridens she worked with poisoned her mind. Second going on 15.
Both want(ed) me to “just listen”. I.E. give them a place to dump their pain and poison into me.
Then what the hell am I to do with it? How much wood do I have to split?
So the men who wrote the Constitution and set up CONgress as a deliberative body, and every man who has been elected to CONgress since, is a bitchy shrew ?
Pull your head out of your a** and wipe the sh*t out of your eyes. This is not a gender issue and don’t try to pawn it off as such, it distracts from the real problem.
John and Dwayne are absolutely correct and if you don’t like it that is your problem.
I’ve been married for 40 years (married twice) and know of what I speak.
Women elected LBJ, Bill Clinton, and barry soetero.
Days after the 19th was passed the politicians rolled out “programs” for women….
I’ll bet you would be stunned to learn how many women support repeal of the 19th!
Excellent, Mycroft. Truly excellent.
So don’t vote Betsy. Yor a woman right? Don’t vote. You’re ruining everything. Men would have this perfect world if only women would stop voting. Knock it off.
I feel you may have missed the subtle and deeper message of the meme, Billie. And that’s a shame. God bless.
So what IS this subtle and deeper message? Seems pretty clear to me. It also seems pretty clear to me that there are a lot of men who vote like idiots. Plenty of idiocy to go around among the male population. Take a look at Congress, just as an example. Plenty of idiots on both sides of the aisle of both sexes.
A lot of the stupid men’s votes are because their wife’s told them how to vote.
I say this with first hand experience of a BIL going to protests wearing the pussy hat his wife got him!
That is 100% a failing of the specific man in question. My husband would never vote for a person just because I told him too, and would be offended if I tried, and the same goes for me if he tried to tell me. We do frequently discuss what each of us knows about candidates in order to inform each other.
So it is the fault of women that those strong men vote stupidly? Yeah right. I’ll remind you that half of the voters are men. If they can’t make up their own minds, that makes them better than women? Please explain this.
From the start of the Treehouse so many years ago, this is, IMO, the stupidest thread of comments I have ever seen.
I have been married to the strongest, most moral and good man I’ve ever known for over 45 years. I have three sons who are fine men, strong, good character. They all do whatever it takes to make a living and care for their families.
Part of that strength and those abilities comes from me, even for my husband. My contributions to our lives together have added to who and what he is, just as his have to me.
I was raised in a violent, sick, horrible home headed by a man who thought women were dumb but maybe useful at best, whores at worst. Not a one of us in that house contributed anything of worth to the whole damned world.
By the grace and mercy of God, I fell in love with a very young man who came from a family of remarkably strong and fine men, and they treasured the women in the family, respected them, valued them, and yes, protected them too.
Women and men are what they should be best together, working with each other, and respecting the abilities of each. And I don’t just mean married couples.
I believe feminism is a joke, and even parts of what they have wrought are evil. I believe weak men have bought into too much stupidity from women.
Those beliefs have not kept me from seeing the full picture of both sexes, the good, the potential, and the failings.
People in this day and age have a real problem with reality. Somewhere along the way, they lost the sense of perspective and nuance, as well as understanding. They look for perfection instead of good. They place blame instead of self examination and reaching out in discussion or understanding.
It baffles and disturbs me that we have so few people left who can reason well.
And as far as my voting record, and ability to pick candidates, of course that’s a matter of opinion, but if your standard is a prosperous economy, national security, a secure border, America first policies, and above all else, respect for life, then my votes have always been better than a huge portion of the men in this country.
Democrats aren’t just women.
Not an all or nothing proposition you know. In no way in in my wildest fever induced dreams imagine the 19th will be repealed. Nor the 17th either.
BTW those weak, useless males to whom are referred.
They were Born to women,
They were raised in large part by women,
They were educated in large part by women.
So if you don’t like what you see remember their origin.
Zombie men? Yet they should be able to vote, but women should not? An adult male who cannot be trusted to think for himself is better than women – how is that?
Your logic is non existent.
They were Born to women,
They were raised in large part by women,
They were educated in large part by women.
So if you don’t like what you see remember their origin.
Yeah, let’s forget about the responsibility of the dads. You are portraying the actions you condemn.
Yes I’m the irresponsible jerk legal guardian of a granddaughter to whom I have no biological connection whatsoever. With whom I spend 23 hrs in ER making sure she has good care a few months ago and all day last week (accidents at school) and God know how much time in court protecting her from the “system”..
Previously I had sole custody of my children and I’ve done the whole Mister Mom thing out prom dress shopping and …. Oh well you have me pegged.
Have a day.
I get it. Women are not to be trusted, every single one of us are identical in our irresponsibility.
Please step back and try to see the irony of your remark.
If a man is so weak that he can’t think for himself but must rely on his wife/mother/lover to know how to vote, then he shouldn’t be voting. He is an adult, and responsible for himself. You can’t keep on blaming parents into adulthood.
I had a sister like that. She blamed my mother for everything that ever went wrong in her life. It was her own fault, not my mother’s.
Same goes for men who can’t think for themselves.
The entire idea of universal democracy, with its franchise based on no more than still having a pulse on reaching an arbitrary and ever-reducing age, should be reconsidered.
The entire West is dying—and in common amongst the various Western nations are the Whig ideals of equality and universal democracy. We are overdue a reassessment of those notions.
The USA was not founded as a democracy. The founders knew a democracy cannot stand.
We became a democracy with the 17th and that is the whole point of this thread.
The Senate was supposed to be the negative feedback by the States to limit the Federal Government. The Adult in the room if you will limiting the antics of the house.
The foundation of the US as commonly understood is largely myth; e.g. far from majority support for secession, it is estimated that between only a fifth and a third were rebels, with a similar number loyal to the British Parliament, and the remaining third to three-fifths indifferent to outcome; e.g. the much-vaunted 1787 constitution is itself unconstitutional, not being passed according to the terms of the first US Constitution, the Articles of Confederation, specifically the latter’s Article XIII.
Interestingly, a 2014 book, The Royalist Revolution: Monarchy and the American Founding, by Harvard U prof. Eric Nelson, argues that the American rebellion, normally characterised as Whig, at least initially was Tory Royalist, with Americans seeking ‘relief from the excesses of parliamentary rule in the revival of royal authority’. Even post-rebellion, royalist thought influenced shape of the US government; and if constitutional monarchies are called ‘Crowned Republics’ then the US (with presidential powers of veto and rule by decree—i.e. ‘executive orders’) might be termed an ‘Uncrowned Monarchy’.
There is little succour to be found in what James Madison derided as ‘parchment barriers’. The only real protection of rights and liberties is force: ‘They have rights who dare maintain them,’ as James Russell Lowell wrote (‘The Present Crisis’, 1845)—’tis blood alone protects rights.
An interesting contrast is how kings trusted their Subjects sufficiently to mandate they arm themselves and demanded they play a full and active part in the defence of his Realm and maintenance of his Peace (law & order); and while not the intention, this provided communities balance against Crown forces, forcing limits to his rule. Whereas democracies so distrust their citizens they disarm them, and outside of major wars, demand they play no part in defence of nation or maintenance of law (‘Just call 911’—999 for UK); and they have no limits to their rule, as demonstrated by Western lockdowns and destruction of the small business economy.
Now I have hours more to read and think about! Thanks. I think. 😉
Praise God for a clear-eyed, spot-on assessment Menagerie, thank you!
Stella, I’m sorry to not respond in a timely fashion. I’m in Texas and it is roasting hot. Our electricity went out early this morning and is just now restored, so I was unable.
First, it is clear to me as well. Very clear. But I tend to look deeper into a lot of things (and past the obvious) that are quite clear. That’s just how my mind works. It keeps this old brain active.
Second, the person to whom I was responding was incredibly rude. Something I do not tolerate. But as I’ve said often when I’m on this site, I consider that I am in someone else’s house. So normally I do not respond to outright bad manners. In fact I shut down this thread after I read the crass comment.
But as we are advised by the Bible to meet such with kindness and better behaviour, I returned and left the comment I did. What I had hoped for is that this person, who obviously tried to provoke with a complete non sequitur and didn’t understand that very astute meme, would take the time to look at it again and actually understand its meaning. That is all.
What I did not consider is that my simple reply would engender such a discussion as has been had. I meant my reply in the nature of civility. And only that.
No good deed goes unpunished though. Lesson learned.
All blessings to you and Menagerie.
OMG! How truly sick.
Care to elaborate?
Oh! Butt hurt? Truth to power!
Excellent read on this. From’ Return of Kings’ HOW PATRIARCHY EVOLVES INTO MATRIARCHY
https://www.returnofkings.com/91116/how-patriarchy-evolves-into-matriarchy
‘Due to massive pressure from the younger women, and even men (chodes are starting to emerge), politicians are forced to implement more policies in favor of women. Now, more women are in the workplace. More women are politicians, more are bankers, less and less women are mothers, and it’s even frowned upon to be a housewife (is this ringing any bells?).
As our society becomes more and more wealthy and spoiled, and as the older generations of men who understand the importance of masculinity die off, the younger generations start to take over. Now, we have a full blown society that values feelings more than facts (not unlike today).
And you know what? They get along just fine—for a while. The patriarchy that came before them set up a huge moat. Because of the hard work of men in the past, our current civilization can afford to be frivolous, nonsensical, and overly-emotional…for a while.
Slowly, but surely, less and less innovation occurs due to female competition at the workplace. Wages plummet as immigrants rush into the country, because it feels good to let them in. Birth rates drop, as more and more women are working, too busy to start a family, and sooner or later, men who believe in masculinity become part of a fringe group (again, is this ringing any bells?).
But then, the men who still cling to the old ways, start to notice something: a nation to the north has been awfully aggressive as of late. They’ve been roaming our land freely, and have been attacking several outposts, unchecked. The feminist indoctrinated youth and politicians clamor that “Maybe we should give them citizenship! We need to educate them and help them!”
Again, this should sound eerily familiar.
The fringe groups of masculine men know that this is utter bullshit, so they’re as vocal as possible, but nobody listens to them—the masses are far too many and far too stupid. The masculine outcasts do what they can to restore patriarchy, and they’re successful in their own little pockets of life, but not on a broad scale. The indoctrination runs too deep; it’s hard to undo the momentum of the last 5 generations passing down false knowledge to their youth.’
I read that years ago and the truth sometimes hurts.
“Hard times makes for hard men.
Hard men make for easy times.
Easy times makes for easy men.
Easy men makes for hard times.”
wash, rince, repeat.
Its called HIStory, not HERstory, for a reason?
Canadian MRA Karen Straughan once wrote in a comment:
The women you’re describing reside in both political parties but the majority in the democrat party. There is simply no creature on earth more revolting and loathsome than a liberal female. They are physically unwashed and uncultured having been raised with little or no parental training. The redolence of the female liberal is a pungent acrid odor of infection and death. They have substituted femininity for raw sexual deviancy. They ceded the natural nurturing instincts of motherhood to self absorption and narcicissim illuminated by a self righteous lust for killing their own children. They are profoundly unattractive to normal male resulting in a bitter journey into lesbianism.
Sometimes one or two can be saved, cleaned up , stabilized and rehabilitated. Sometimes they still wind up as a media babbling bobblehead, sometimes they develop a powerful urge to start baking cookies but mostly they wind up bitter and cranky old hags
Female leftist, a true liberal is none of those things.
Take a look at the emasculated and truly clown like liberal men. As a woman, I find them physically revolting and intellectually empty.
So do I.
Superb analysis, John. And true. There have been exceptions… Margaret Thatcher, Golda Meir, and that’s about it.
In the main, all one has to do to understand that truth is take a quick glance at Europe and the Scandinavian countries. In politics and in their churches where women are now in charge, we have nothing but disasters. I mean existential disasters.
I’ll add my woman’s voice to this and say I’ve thought the same for years and years. I’m glad you said it. Thank you.
The men speak well for themselves here. I am a retired fisherman who has worked with men on deck and in the wheelhouse and as a boat owner all my adult life. It is preferable to me to see the big picture, strategize, and achieve a realistic goal like catching a boatload of salmon or squid. The camaraderie can be fun too.
I love being with women also but not for too long. It is tiring. And I am a woman who had the “60’s”
womeyn awakening that “we could have it all. ” No thanks. Everything led to nothing. My marriage ended, my children suffered, and I was clueless. It took being flat-assed broke, back against the wall time, and hard work to realign things so that eventually I could give all the planning up to God by age 65. A little late.
Women would be better off to follow their nurturing natures but still maintain the tenacity of a momma lion for their families.
Lord truly love you, Maritimemaid. I mean that with all my heart. And like you, I don’t want it all. God, I firmly believe, didn’t make us equal (whatever that means). And today’s women’s futile and vainglorious attempt to make it so destroys completely what He meant us to be…complementary, each with different makeup so that we are complete and one when we come together. We are different from men and men from us. And that is glorious.
How any man worth his salt can look upon these screeching harridans…dirty, unfeminine, foul mouthed, selfish, mean, pushy, ungracious, and ugly inside and out…and think that, yes, that’s someone I want to be the mother of my children, to share my life with, is something all these wimmin never think of. They may not care about it now. But the time will come when they will realize that they’ve given up all their advantages for a mess of tasteless potage.
Your post is perhaps the most honest and heartbreaking ones I’ve read in a long while. I admire you for having written it. We all individually would be so much better off turning to God and saying, as GK Chesterton did, “I can’t do this. You must.” I can feel the power of that sentence, as you obviously have in your life. May all His blessings be with you each and every day. Thank you for your forthrightness. B
“Whenever women have insisted on absolute equality with men, they have invariably wound up with the dirty end of the stick. What they are and what they can do makes them superior to men, and their proper tactic is to demand special privileges, all the traffic will bear. They should never settle merely for equality. For women, “equality” is a disaster.”
― Robert A. Heinlein, Time Enough for Love
Men are expendable; women and children are not. A tribe or a nation can lose a high percentage of its men and still pick up the pieces and go on… as long as the women and children are saved. But if you fail to save the women and children, you’ve had it, you’re done, you’re through! You join Tyrannosaurus Rex, one more breed that bilged its final test.
Robert A. Heinlein
Thank you, Mycroft. You understand my specific point about this NOT being men vs women, but rather what has happened to those women in pursuit of equality as they define it…at the expense of their God given attributes. I appreciate Heinlein’s view because in my opinion it is true. Bless you, Sir.
You are welcome. I cherish women. You could say that is my God given job.
Here is what I see in my neighborhood.
Women getting up before dawn and loading their kinders in the station wagon and schlepping then off to be raised by someone else. Then they go to work all day.
(and they HATE working for another woman)
They rush home in a frazzle and they schellep them all over town to soccer or whatever and get home exhausted. They fight with their husbands scream at the kids….
Years down the road a lot of them will find themselves wondering why they never see the kids.
At the end of the week if they actually look at their net what have they gained?
This is better?
Some women like my second wife really aren’t cut out to be stay at home mom’s.
I get that.
But NO woman ought be belittled because they want to be home raising their children.
Absolutely normal!! Several governments have made the one income family obsolete. As intended I believe because stable families are a danger to them and their agendas.
My oldest, now a single mother with three teens fast approaching college age, out of necessity works a stressful job which involves hours well beyond the 8-5 norm (if there is such a thing anymore). She is a great mother, somehow balancing her children’s after school activites with her job and the necessary running of the house. She is exhausted all the time. But up she gets every morning and does what is necessary. Her 17 year old twin lads now have jobs and are driving so that helps, and we are close by. God in His wisdom put us here, I’m convinced, for this time He knew was coming. That story is long and involved but I KNOW, looking back, that this so. There is no other answer for why we are able to be here if she needs us. If we were not? Well, I won’t go there…
The intentional sneering and trying to shame mothers who are able to stay home to rear their families only works if those mothers allow it. I pray these mothers will not allow it. My husband always has said you teach people how to treat you. He is not wrong.
And finally…I have nothing but appreciation for men. I’ve got a good one. A Brit, he grew up in post WWII Britain, poorer than a church mouse. His skills are second to none, and he is the kindest most upright man I’ve ever known. He is not my original husband and has no university education. But he has several degrees conferred upon him by life itself. Much more valuable as I have discovered.
Thank you for your lovely post, Mycroft. I do appreciate your replying. And, again, as a firm devotee of Conan Doyle, I really adore your name…just so you know😉 Bet
My husband always has said you teach people how to treat you. He is not wrong.
Had this very same discussion with the 11 yr young granddaughter we are raising re her abusive older sister who does not live with us.
My wife works in the stock market earning much more than I ever did but I’m the field service engineer that keeps all the gears turning. 😉
Sounds like your hubby and myself have a lot in common.
From our conversation, I suspect that, yes, you both would get on like a house on fire, as we used to say in Britain.
And God bless you for being the strong father figure a granddaughter needs if her own is not around. God eternally bless you and your wife for being there for her. I am truly sorry about her older sister. I always thought if a girl gets that treasured love she should from a loved father or grandfather, she won’t go looking for it elsewhere as she grows older. Plus the added bonus that the man she marries (if that is in the cards) will very probably have the same characteristics you do. No bad thing at all.
My husband has been that for our 17 year old grandsons, where their own father is anything but. Another one of those reasons I am so grateful we are here for them. They are both so lovely, respectful, have their heads screwed on straight, and absolutely adore him. I guarantee they got that from my husband. The same with their younger sister. Deo gratias!
And the title of field service engineer is an apt one for the job you are doing, Mycroft. My husband would approve of that I can assure you. A vital and laudable and loving profession. You seem to be filling your job description admirably. Lucky wife, extremely fortunate granddaughter.🤗
Prior to Wilson’s 19th “Little Hatchet” Amendment XIX (1919) in wake of WWI, this country avoided females’ endless backbiting inanities in place of action that has rotted every aspect of the American polity since the middle 1960s.
As feminization bizarrely occludes reality, these last six decades evince the worst sociocultural dearth –no literature nor poetry, no operas or symphonies, naught but geek-heavy info-tech– since the Late Roman Empire.
In healthy cultures, “men wear swords, women wear great hats”… Si monumentum videre, cicumspice (Wren’s late 17th Century cathedral epitaph): “If you would see (their) monument, look around.”
I have always found that epitaph, in its brevity, one of the most moving and powerful ones ever written. Poignant beyond any description. Thank you for reminding me of it.
Interesting observation here.
I have two daughters who are environmental engineers. Both are the bread-winners in their families.
Both are non-emotional and make all the decisions in their families. Handle all the money, plan EVERYTHING from vacations to home remodeling, hiring contractors, housekeepers…
The husbands….one is a musician who does take good care of my grandchildren while my daughter works.. the other, a landscaper, is trying to get a better job, they have no children yet.
Role reversal for sure…in two of my progeny’s homes. Yes both vote dem.
A question just popped into my head….regarding those two beautiful environmental engineers…
Where did we go wrong?
You didn’t go wrong. Sounds like you did very well by them.
Children are not born a blank slate. They come with preset attitudes and personalities.
You raised two engineers? Be proud and I suspect in time their attitudes will change.
‘If You Are Not a Liberal When You Are Young, You Have No Heart, and If You Are Not a Conservative When Old, You Have No Brain’
The Meyers-Briggs personality type indicator (Introvert/extrovert; sensing/intuitive; thinking/feeling; judging/perceiving) found that the distribution of characteristics was even across the sexes except for the way we make decisions. Thinking/feeling has a distribution of 75% of men decide based on logic, 75% of women decide based on feelings. How do I feel about that? I feel we should think more.
“As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths.”
Isaiah 3:12 KJV
You are a peach…must be a wonderful person to be around
I’m a woman and I agree with you. I think giving women the vote was a huge mistake.
Now, of course, I take exception with myself (haha) and also my mother…first generation American, grew up in a communist country, was a house wife and mother and she ran the household and there was no whining or complaining…this woman worked hard..mowing the lawn, scrubbing floor on hands and knees, baking up a storm, good cook, outstanding cleaner, involved in church…different generation of woman back then. She was not alone; my friends also had mother’s like that. Don’t know how it got to princesses and shrews and pink and purple..fluff and whining….pretty worthless to me.
*raises middle finger*
IQ?
I am a woman and I agree 100%.
John, I think it is dangerous to divide like that. Sure, your point isn’t entirely incorrect. In our family, at some point in a discussion I will qualify, “you don’t need to fix this”. That allows him to think about sports and occasionally say, “I understand”. It keeps us both happy.
You can make generalizations all you want, but you can’t go back in time. What this is really about is the destruction of the family that was relentlessly pushed on our culture. There is no one at home getting involved in the neighborhood, the schools, the community and just being around. Everyone is busy thus the TV’s and the phones are setting the culture, not mom, dad, families, neighborhoods and churches. That’s the real problem.
Let’s work together, not divide.
“The mommy/daddy situation.
When voters want protection, they vote for a daddy, when they want nurturing, they vote for a mommy.”
Actual “political consultant” thinking.
And the whole “Momma vs Daddy thing has nothing to do with GENDER.
A male politician can be seen as offering nurturing, a female can be seen as offering protection, its a way they try to distill what they call “voter sentiment”.
Bear in mind, these “Political consultants” are the same kind of idiots that came up with “New Coke” ,…they just apply “marketing techniques” to political campaigns.
Every AmericaFirst candidate should hire 1 of these; on every campaign question, use them as a “reverse barometer”; listen very closely to what they advise, then do the exact OPPOSITE.
well said.
Oh, they (the politicians) are communicating, the just don’t HEAR; what is being said to them. Otherwise, why would all the billions be approved for dispersion to the foreign countries on a continuous basis. What I want to know is WHICH COUNTRY WILL HELP THE U.S. WHEN OUR FOOD RUNS OUT? WHEN OUR FAMILIES AND KIDS ARE HUNGRY? My guess is: nobody.
Nope, nobody. We are on our own, literally! D.C. is destroying America as fast as they can, so we must act accordingly. Save ourselves — put the oxygen mask on yourself before putting on your kid so that the adult can act. Take care of you and yours and anyone else you can. Then, we can keep strong enough to do what has to be done!
They do hear, they just dont care.
Asking a left-winger to care is like asking the thief to worry about what you are going to do when he robs you blind to pay for your rent or mortgage.
What makes you think all this money is actually given to a foreign country? Has anybody seen their Congress critters lately? Not on the Telly, but in the flesh?
Didn’t think so.
Ms. Porter is absolutely correct. They have failed to communicate to us how to properly cook and serve insects.
Usually, after a major election (every two or four years) the losing party does an “autopsie report” on “what went wrong”, “what can we learn from this” and most importantly “what should we change, going forward”.
And, because such reports are prepared by the very same political consultants and experts who failed, they tend to focus on OPTICS instead of substance, and are blinded to reality.
The Democrats SEE the “Red Wave” coming, and are already developing their autopsie report for the Nov mid-terms; the outline is clear.
“Its the messaging, stupid”; We just aren’t doing a good job of ‘selling’ our policies to the electorate, of explaining to the electorate how our policies will benefit them in the long run.”
THIS is their explanation to themselves, with more than an aside of “And it doesn’t help that the American people are too STUPID to understand!”
The video of the Energy Secretary laughing, when asked about Americans suffering with ,$7/gal gas, is one of many such images of the “let them eat cake” and there are many showing Republican leadership just as clueless and insensitive.
They (the Uniparty) truly have no clue, that its the MESSAGE, and NOT the Messaging, thats the problem, and no amount of tweeking the message is going to make the crap they are pushing into a sellable product.
so true. In addition to what you say, I also suspect that when a solid conservative candidate decides to run, Mitch Inc. generously provides them with “consultants” who “advise” them … how to lose.
Any real opposition party would make a killer campaign commercial out of just such clips. All of this gold is lying on the ground and our fake opposition party refuses to pick it up. Everything is going to be up to us, friends.
The high living might have something to do with it? The libs don’t work for nothing. Teensy tiny DC is #1 in wine consumption! (Think evertipsy NancyP) The Beltway insiders do love their sippycups ….
Wine Consumption: District of Columbia Outdrinks 7 States Combined

Let’s not forget the copious amounts of drugs the asshats in the govt consume daily
Hunter is just the tip of the iceberg.
The more I look at this picture the more disturbing truths I see.
The one thing I would change would be to have Brandon not even notice the kid drowning , especially since he already has his filthy hands on one .
I believe Brandon just doesn’t care . Look how he and his entire family ignore the crackheads last kid.
They are the lowest of the low.
The women’s bathing suits are an especially nice touch though.
Tucker Carlson led off his show tonite (5/11/2022) by comparing the Ukraine $40 billion to YOU as a child watching your parents stashing Christmas presents in a closet – “everything you’ve wanted”
– and then on Christmas Day giving them all to a kid down the street instead of you
Mentioned total so far $54 Billion …. someone else in a Treehouse comment said $80 Billion
54 billion seems off. In the beginning, I thought they gave them almost 80 billion the first time around. Then some more. And some more. Now this sum of 40 billion.
And don’t forget- Biden is also going to give Europe oil from our reserves. You know the strategic reserves that he already pillaged, and he’s not putting more back in…cuz he won’t expand production and drilling in the U.S.
The reserves that PDJT had filled.
….at UNDER $2 a gallon!
And that your mom and dad stole your allowance and your lunch money all year in order to pay for those presents and you’ve got it right!
Plus they all expect a new big distribution out it the kickbacks from that extra $40b they just rushed through for Ukraine
Big Guy gets 10%.
What do Schumer and Pelosi get?
I invite you to watch National Geographic channel “Drugs Inc.” episode ‘PCP in DC”.. I couldn’t find the link so here is this.

Protective, problem solving men have made life too easy. (see it’s always men’s fault)
r/K theory explains this phenomenon perfectly.
Really really short version.
When times are easy rabbits breed indiscriminately until they starve.
Enough rabbits can bring even the lions down. We are drowning in rabbits.

Very interesting read from anonymous conservative..
Thank you for taking the time to read it!
Leftists are children of post-modernism: the dogma that you get to choose your own reality.
Trans-genderism is the best example – male or female? You get to choose.
I’ve come to understand recently that atheism is far more of a driving force to leftists than socialism: that largely explains how and why liberal billionaires make common cause with Marxists!
So how do you defeat the enormity of God? Simply deny his existence, and insist you have the moral and intellectual right to do exactly that. God says abortion is wrong? We leftists disagree, so he’s outvoted.
The ever-growing desperation of leftists to censor and silence those who differ with them about anything is the metastasizing of post-modernism from a quirk to a mental illness.
Neurotics (liberals) build castles in the air. Psychotics (leftists) move in.
The good news is that someday they will have to face their Creator and will not escape judgment. Either be saved by the cross or judged by it.
Gotta agree with you. My Mom always told me “God will get even, even if you and I may never know it” My response to her was “but I wanna see it happen” but it never worked.
You will see it if you are one of Christ’s own, standing at the Great White Throne Judgement, seeing all the unsaved unrepentant denizens of Hell be judged and tossed into the Lake of Fire, for eternity.
I actually feel sorry for them. I have family who will be there. 🙁
I wish they care about inflation half as much as they do about pronouns 😒
I always say — if only the Left would use their powers for good instead of evil…
I don’t recall where I read it, but bottom line is public sector wages and benefits stayed in the upward trajectory of America’s postwar boom from 1945-70 even as private sector wages stagnated and diminished in real terms.
Life is sweet for them, they not only get great pay and benefits but they even have a big fat pension to look forward to when they retire at 50.
I remember well the fit healthy relatively young government retirees fuming about their pensions being at risk in the global financial crisis and being stunned to learn that ordinary Americans haven’t enjoyed that perk in decades, and often work well into their 70’s because they aren’t able to afford retirement.
How about Musk and President Trump get together to slash the public sector by 80%, Musk through technology, Trump through a MAGA led Great Repeal, of all the inefficient, counterproductive laws and regs these public sector people feel so important enforcing.
Hey, Great Repeal, not Great Reset. Has a certain something to it.
I happened th be at a golf course in N.J. A few years back. There was a group of retired state police in the club house . They were as obnoxious, loud and rude. You couldn’t avoid hearing their conversations. They were complaining about everything, especially things financial, pension, health benefits. Kind of shocking since everyone of them was getting at least $8,000. Per month with annual cost of living increases plus the best free healthcare for life. One of them over sixty years old. They don’t contribute one dime to their retirement largess.
If you were to invest the entire amount of their pay over the years with a financial genius you couldn’t pay their pension.
Eventually I and the other three guys I was there with just had to get up and leave.
We needed to put some distance from there creeps.
Some people make 911 calls and other people answer those calls. Some people run away from burning towers and others race up into them.
I don’t begrudge law enforcement, firefighters and EMT’s their public pensions. There are always a few rotten apples in every bunch, just like in any other occupation.
People who deal with the dregs of life on a day-to-day basis tend to develop a hardened shell. And they tend to stick together as they observe the revolving door of justice dump violent offenders back onto the streets.
Fake news has a way of showcasing isolated incidents to sway public opinion. And we will hear many more stories designed to pit us against each other as we all compete for scraps in their Great Reset.
The point being these people have no idea. Even the retired state police JimS described thought they were getting screwed, when they’re enjoying a retirement most can only dream of. They would be astonished to see how the other half live. Like the Democrat in the story, it’s completely foreign to them that everyone doesn’t have the cushy benefits they enjoy.
Diesel $6 a gallon? Oh, well, just cut back on the mimosas at your country club brunch, four is plenty.
“Let them eat cake.”
And we other half are carrying them on our backs.
Did you read what I wrote ?
These PBA associations take full advantage of the local political environment. They extort every dime they can from the weak politicians as well as the simpleminded voters. Politicians fall all aver themselves to pander/payback for the support from out of control unions with your tax dollars.
The more of your tax dollars they are offered the more support they get.
They are not pensions they are golden parachutes and your grandkids are going to pay for them.
As far as the police are concerned, at least in New York City I found out on grand jury duty that 10% of the police conduct 90% of the arrests. The rest of them are drones, jobsworths.
I beg to differ. I happen to know that, for instance, garbagemen in New York City get to retire at age 45 with full pension and benefits. After having worked no more than 8 years in some cases — if you talk about the actual hours in each shift.
I knew one of these guys and he admitted to me that the union had worked out a deal where they only have to work 3 hours per shift except for snow days when they get double time.
Bottom line is that they work a third of a day and they get to retire 20 years earlier than the rest of us and we pay these obscene pension and retirement packages for them.
He also said that the rest of the shift they would be getting drunk in the breakroom every blessed day. In what universe is this Justified?
My depression era dad called the sillyvilians working at WPAFB the “idle rich”.
As a sometimes contractor employee working there I came to understand his point of view.
There was a minority of dedicated hard workers that carried the load for the loafers playing cards all day.
She’s a peach is this Porter ghoul.
She appeared on MSNBC tonight to say that Bidenflation reinforces the need for abortion.
And no…I do not watch any news, cut the cord. This story, with video clip is now on Citizen Free Press, for those who can stomach watching.
So the Democrat policy is “can’t buy food? Just murder your children. Problem solved!”
As seen several elections ago, most of those political types have no idea what even a loaf of bread costs. The don’t know the price of things, they just order them and it gets paid without knowing a thing about “how much”. Oh well, they make more money than most “normal” people earn by working their butts off all year long, not just when they want more money…..like the beggars do.
Porter, the UCI Commie, has stolen my district twice.
She lives in the UCI bubble. Has no clue what her constituents are like, only that she gets the votes from UCI students who are gone in four years.
There is no such thing as “working class” in my district, 92603. Most of us can easily handle the inflation but we’re mighty pissed off that Porter keeps stealing our district, which is mostly conservative and libertarian/republican.
I saw Poter once at our local Albertson’s -grocery chain. She sure could use to lose a few pounds, for real.
“She sure could use to lose a few pounds, for real.”
Representative Portly! 😄
Newsweek, August 2021:
“The price of bacon could soar by up to 60 percent in California when an animal welfare proposition kicks in at the start of next year, according to a study.”
Proposition 12, enacted by the same state that elected Representative Porter, is largely responsible for the disproportionate cost of her grocery bill.
Katie will place the blame on “capitalist price gougers” or bad luck, depending what the polling data shows.
I wonder how many of our Congress critters actually live on their paycheck from Uncle Joe?
I’ll take NONE of them for $1M, Alex….
Can we really vote our way out of this? Will there be a country left when 7 Million illegals can just walk over the boarder. The GOPe want to give them all amnesty and voting rights, Rubio, Cornyn. 90% of the GOP are unreliable. Big mistake not to focus on ending Eyepatch Dan’s career. Pretty pathetic that the GOP has to rely on 2 Democrate Senators all the time.
Question of the year; Are Canadians dumber than Americans?
It’s not a recent disconnect. This is them, always has been.
Trump drew them all out into the open and they’re willingly and proudly showcasing their insanity and destructiveness, the most destructive force in America.
As the Bread and Circuses of Both corrupt parties escalates, they are spending more fiat (money from thin air) dollars to fight a proxy war with Russia, which will mean more debt to be paid with Real goods and services, we need to realize we are being manipulated and divided to complete the theft! Amazing how unified they are about supporting Nazis in Ukraine and rubber stamping another 33 Billion to a corrupt foreign government!
California has mandated free range pigs as the source of pork that is raised in the state or imported from say, Iowa. Here in south Florida bacon was $6.99 last I looked.
You’re not earning enough money, peasant, so:
1. Get rid of your pets
2. Substitute lentils for meat
…per Bloomberg
Maybe this incapacity to imagine will not be challenged by a thermonuclear detonation in a population center. I would think this attention-grabber would result in great confusion to those blithely committing acts of war against Russia in support of their Nazi allies.
No nukes are required.
20 determined men with 30.o8’s shooting up main transformers could take down our electrical grid and kill half of us.
Our enemies don’t want to kill the golden goose. They want to own the golden goose.
But given the number of lunatics in the United States and our vulnerability, only God is keeping the lights on.
Very insightful. Dissent IS toxic on the left.
Curiously, these elected officials don’t know the costs of food while at the same time covering costs of two residences? On $200k in one of the most expensive areas of country?
Makes you wonder who is buying their food, no?
So tired of the FACT we need to inform these elected officials of costs.
We need to strip them of any meal allowances and not allow lobbyists to buy them food.
How do you get them to vote for that? Asking for a friend.
Perhaps if the “ruling class” in DC were not so:
1) Well paid (giving themselves tremendous raises on the backs of the “normal” citizens
2) Well protected (security, secret service, staff)
3) Well insulated from how “normal people” live (as in they don’t do their own shopping, cleaning, etc.)
4) Well Provided for (as in pension funds, lobbyist kick backs, health care, etc.)
maybe they would realize how the rest of the country lives if they weren’t so pampered.
I think it’s time to cut the pay for their “services”, fire their staff and their security details and make them take care of themselves, pull their pensions and audit their bank accounts!
Expose them for what they are – grifters, thieves, charlatans, swindlers. Common criminals who’ve elevated themselves to a level they don’t deserve.
I still want to know how a Bronx bartender that 6 years ago couldn’t afford a DC apartment now has a net worth of $29 million.
Systemic racism.
No way. 29 million already. That was quick.
We are in Cancun now on vacation. All the hotels are booked thru July! Everyone having a great time and no politics allowed in the pool! Cheers!
The “disconnect” is absolutely true. Had a lefty loon relative actually state she had not noticed any price difference in gas. Huh???
They are also professional liars.
When you don’t have to win elections, it doesn’t matter.
Campaign?
Just “put a lid on it” and wait until 3 days after the election to get a vote count.
The homeless in the painting should be thin. though. But a good reflection of what’s happening. Wonder if we can identify the elites in the gallery.
Keep in mind once POWER becomes the objective and CONTROL becomes the chosen method to obtain the objective, the entity seeking power feels no need for “connection” to those subjected to the exercise that POWER is no longer needed. It is the historical fact of totalitarian regimes … tragically it always seems to dissolve into Hitler’s Bunker and the corollary of disaster surrounding it.
That is why the Current Elite Financial Puppet Masters and there Elite executives (Politician, Academics, NGO Leaders, et al) no longer hesitate to make the decisions we see coming from DC. They don’t care and arrogantly feel that nothing they decide actually impacts themselves. Over the past 25 years they have installed nearly 2 generations of apathetic la la land inhabitants and a 20-30% core of rabid followers willing to be used as long a few crumbs fall their way or at least there is a promise of crumbs for the dumber zealots.
Think of it a Pavlov’s theory on steroids.
Here’s the problem- most of them just don’t care.
Where they can’t cheat, the backlash is going to make them look weak compared to the Labor party in GB.
They truly are now exclusively the party of the elites and those elites special interest supporters.
Nothing too awful can happen to any of them.
Same goes for the RINOS.
May true MAGA’S primary their a$s to the curb, permanently.
Colleague responds price tags at store are disinformation.
My daughter lives in the belly of the beast down in Arlington, VA. She tells me she has exactly one friend (another stealth Trump voter) who is concerned about inflation. She says no one else seems concerned. They did recently all complain about their rent increases, but they all re-upped their leases for another year and seemed to forget about it. Being young, single with no kids in an urban environment where they don’t really need cars makes this demographic somewhat immune to inflation, at least for the time being. Rent is their biggest expense and even that is somewhat mitigated because they all have roommates. Take a look at Cspan and see who all the Congressional aides are. That’s who’s surrounding the dopes in Congress.
When their horrible policies fail, it’s never because they’re horrible, it’s always because they didn’t message it correctly.
Rack her up for dis information did she have her findings reported to the ministry of truth send her bad note free speech isn’t free.
The Democrat’s primary agenda to acquire privilege, power and wealth is built upon lies and deception. Anything that stands in their way or inhibits progress is considered as nothing more than acceptable collateral damage. Their path is marked by destruction, poverty and death. They are in reality a plague and pox upon humanity. For them to see and even acknowledge the truth condemns them as serial killers who’s intent is to destroy this Constitutional Republic and exposes their corrupt illegal treasonous behavior/actions.
Polls are garbage, but yet both sides keep promoting them.
Porter has to make do on an annual salary around $200,000, around FIVE TIMES the median income of the average working class citizen, with benefits that exceed $10,000.
Poor thing… and she probably gets public assistance, to boot.
“Only after Rep. Katie Porter put bacon in her cart at her local grocery store recently did she notice that its price had spiked to $9.99 a pound. Reluctantly, she put the package back.”
It doesn’t look to me like she put the bacon back – but rather kept it and added several boxes of Twinkies and Ho-hos to the cart as well.
“Porter, a California progressive and single mother of three…”
“Progressive,” meaning she wants the government to fully support her and her three gerbers.
Shock. After not hearing a single peep from the ‘liberals’ in my midst, all of a sudden, they are squealing like stuck pigs.
The Bolsheviks were a tiny, ramshackle bunch of malcontents. This didn’t prevent them from leveraging their chutzpah into a 70-year regime. Pragmatic centrism and majoritarianism are overrated, as we’re seeing in the US all over again.
Progressivism is a mental disorder.
They are not falling short on “communicating.” They are falling short on “governing.” The problems we experience were created by Democrat (the governing party – President and both houses of Congress) policies on energy, CoVID (lockdowns, closures, masking, “relief”) and the war in Ukraine. “Communicating” the results in a different manner won’t fix the problems that those results have created. only fixing the problems will … you know…. fix the problems. But they can’t fix the problems because that would mean changing the policy, and they can’t change policy because that is akin to religious apostasy in Democrat circles.
Katie is my pear shaped communist representative. I hope the red wave makes it all the way out to the west coast so we can return her to her day job and she can afford bacon again for her kids.
This article highlights the “tone deaf” and ‘cluelessness’ of the elites.
They truly live in an alternate universe, that has little to nothing in common with REALITY.
They look at the Surgeon General, and see a Woman.
They see rising energy prices as a “Good thing”.
They have used their influence to completely insulate themselves from any negative consequences for their actions.
Hence, they regularly engage in actions which are not only harmful to themselves, but harmful to others.
When someone is running around declaring they are Napolean, or the Queen of England (and they obviously aren’t) we say they are DELUSIONAL.
If they are also carrying a sword, and menacing others, or actually swinging it at people, we say they are INSANE, and they are isolated from Society for their own safety, and that of others.
These people, the “elites” exhibit the classic behavior of being delusional and insane. They are truly The Insane Idiots In Charge.
And it is not “DEMOCRATS”, Republican Leadership are exhibiting the SAME insane behavior. Look how Mitch said Bidens $33 Billion wasn’t enough, and upped it to $40 billion.
These people need to be not only removed from power, they are clearly delusional and pose a danger to themselves and others, and need to be removed from Society, for everyones protection.
But Biden “can smell it”
The wealthy Rinos are exactly the same . It does not touch them.
She who connects with mah pain gets mah vote!
