Kyle Rittenhouse shot and killed Joseph Rosenbaum and Anthony Huber as he was being attacked by a raging mob. Rittenhouse, also fired on Gaige Grosskreutz as the attacker held a handgun toward him. Prosecutors claim that Rittenhouse was a vigilante looking for a fight. The defense, and all video of the events, show all shootings were justifiable self defense.
The trial continues today with jury instructions and closing arguments. PBS Livestream Link
Did the Judge make it clear as per his discussion this morning that if found not guilty, then its done? Someone please explain that to me vs what he just said. I am confused.
They have to render a verdict on each of the five charges, but I believe that if they find self-defense on a charge, that’s it.
If they render a verdict of “Not guilty” on the 1st charge, it is over. The Judge and Kyle have gotten threaten letters, the Judge has a police car in front of his house. If Rittenhouse is found not guilty there are threats of killing him. he will have to go and live somewhere else safe.
We are in mob rule now.
He was going to. Hummed and Hahhed about. I didn’t notice if he did. Hand slapping forehead again.
I was waiting for it and never heard it. Hopefully it is written in the instruction pages?
Some of the charges have lesser charges attached to them. The judge instructed the jury that if they find KR not guilty on the main charge they are finished for that particular charge and do not have to consider lesser charges.
Early this morning it wasn’t like that and he was going to correct it. He admitted it was all kind of screwy the way it was written.
Correct. That’s what I heard. If you find self defense on the main charge, the lessor included charges are decided as well. In fact, it might be error to find guilt on a lessor included charge if you find ‘self defense’ on the main charge. In other words, self defense is binary, like pregnancy.
BTW, having not watched the entire trial, but did watch most of the closing. Was the prior records of the attackers (the kid rapes) and the assaults, etc of the others allowed to come into the record?
Probably not. Many Lefties who claim to have watched it all are convinced none of the assailants had been charged with child rape. And of course, in their minds, these three were not assailants but Civil Rights heroes.
One was a child rapist and another was a domestic abuser, they must have been charged at one time because the reporters knew about it.
There are 18 jurors, and 6 will be chosen by random drawing not to be in jury room, but they will stay in courthouse. If one of 12 has to bail out, a substitute will come in from those 6 and deliberations will begin again.
Fatboy: “Every life matters.” Even thuggish white guys who crash a BLM protest using the “n” word. Because anyone burning down a city is a protester who hates injustice. Got all that?
Glad to know he feels that way. Maybe he can be recruited for a pro-life march?

Not when they attack someone and yell they will kill him if they catch him.
When Prosecutors defend rioters and those with violent records and ignore that Kenosha Law Enforcement refused to do their jobs or ask for assistance so that civilians needed to defend people and property, we are in deep trouble.
Not as much trouble as when they tell us that if you carry a gun, you forfeit your right to self-defense.
These fascists are not playing around this time. This is the real evil version of progressivism bearing fruit.
This philosophy of violence done against normal people is always excused whenever the Left claims the perp as one of their own. The philosophy began with the 2017 shooting of Kate Stenle, a 20 something walking on a San Francisco pier with her father.
The shooter was a Mexican immigrant who spent most of his life inebriated. It was irrelevant that the perp used a gun in the shooting, which in SF is a punishable offense that many people of color spend 3 to 5 years in prison for. It was overlooked that the perp claimed he did not mean to shoot Ms Stenle, but was on the pier to shoot seals. (This statement alone would have been upsetting to Lefties if it had come from anyone but an immigrant.)
Anyway a campaign began, and the perp’s legal defense team received tens of thousands of dollars to get him off with only a slap on the wrist. The Stenle family never did receive any justice. The perp was treated as a hero, while Kate Stenle’s tragic loss of life was swept under the rug.
Relayed from friends in Kenosha that some FBI/Antifa folks have been picked up while arriving from out of state.
Happy to hear that! Enough with these “mostly peaceful” “Protests” where cities and towns are in fear for their lives and businesses are burned down and/or looted. This BS has to end. Hopefully this will be the case to do so.
I’m wondering what the jurors thought about the lawless destruction of their town. If they are repulsed, they might have sympathy for a kid who life-guarded their community pool, cleaned graffiti off the wall of their middle school, and volunteered to protect a local car lot from savage felony-level vandalism.
They saw Joseph Rosenbaum lighting fires, upturning a trailer and lighting it on fire. He hurled imprecations, and chased down Kyle Rittenhouse, for all appearances looking like he ambushed Kyle and was intent on carrying out his earlier threat, witnessed by people who seemed to give truthful testimony, “If I get you alone, I’m gonna kill you.” Not one of the three people Kyle shot was a what most people would consider to be a “sympathetic character”.
So we can’t predict how the jury will judge the case, but Kyle has a lot of things in his favor.
Good to see you over here, RP
I thought it was a fed charge to cross State lines to commit a felony.
He hasn’t committed a felony. His father lives in Kenosha, as well as many other family members, and he works in Kenosha. Hope that clears things up
Didn’t Grossgroinz cross state lines with a handgun?
Was he a Wisconsin resident at the time?
He also concealed his firearm on his person, while he was out rioting.
Did he have a valid concealed carry permit?
Did he brandish and point his handgun at Rittenhouse?
*Grosskreutz.
his surname means “great cross” in German…interesting
No. It’s Kyle should’ve let them kill him. Then, they’d charge that Grosskreuz guy for illegal discharge of a firearm.
Yep
Grosskreutz never fired his pistol. Possibly you’re thinking of Joshua Ziminski in the Car Source parking lot. (FYI, his wife Kelli Ziminski got revoked by her parole officer and is back in prison right now – small victories.) Grosskreutz’ possession of his firearm is illegal, as he could not renew a carry permit (as he lied about “forgetting” to renew it) because he already had a recent conviction for “Going armed while intoxicated.”
He was stating that if KR had not fired, then Grosskreutz would have and then he would be the one charged. Likely Kyle would them have been dead. So the question: would KR be alive today if he had not defended himself?
Funny. That’s how I feel about literally every member of the progressive left – and WAY too long in coming.
Rittenhouse was stoic through ten days of trial and held his composure in hours of cross examination.
Binger got a little ribbing during closing, and moved about in his seat, openly sneering and shaking his head in front of the jury.
Composure is a huge part of the case. I bet the jury noticed the difference.
I was amazed at the composure, restraint and excellent judgement Kyle displayed while he was being attacked. Most grown men with battle experience could not have performed that well.
Best case scenario? Kyle gets off and becomes a leader in righting the enormous wrongs that are destroying our USA.
There are many threats against his life if he goes free and might even be killed if he is sentenced to prison! Sad!
mark really raked asst DA Binger over the coals during closing, exposing all his lies and misrepresentations.
Yeah and Binger pointed the AR15 at the jury with his finger on the trigger. He reminded me of a wuss Democrat.
Interesting background on Grosskreutz and perfect timing from the Daily Mail :
He lied to the cops about dropping his gun (he didn’t), leaving lied on the stand about his hand position until the defense confronted him with the videotape. He is a liar and the jury knows it.
Dropping the DUI does go to political motivations of the prosecution, but sadly you can’t put Binger on trial. At least, not yet. He’s done a lot of unethical things during this trial. As soon as it’s over someone should ask that he be disbarred. Hopefully, the judge would make that referral.
Mr. GG had a gun in his right hand and a knife in his left. When he is shot, he flings the knife to the ground, and Mr Rittenhouse kicks it with his boot. It’s all in the video. Yaacov Appelbaum of the Illustrated Primer broke it all down.
My guess is Gross-liar KNEW he might not be able to re-new his CCP because he had a misdemeanor gun charge from 2015. This was not addressed when he was cross examined.
The Defense Atty stated that GG had a gun in his right hand and a phone in his Left
You really think the bar association is going to disbar him? They’ll probably give him the prosecutor of year award, win or lose. Bar associations are dominated by left wing democrat “activist” lawyers.
Binger has all kinds of family and political ties, he isn’t going anywhere. Although I have to say his stunt of holding the AR today has made some headlines on sites I never thought would show the pic.
The DA’s office was motivated from the outset by the Lt. Governor (Mandela Barnes) to file charges quickly and make hay with this kid. The Lt. Gov. then proceeded to shut up because he’s planning to run for US Senate.
This is way Dems love him. He’s a criminal.
Sounds like the profile of an unofficial FBI-drafted Antifa-type antagonist who was encouraged to instigate chaos and worse if presented with the opportunity.
Been watching Brannon Howse’s frankspeech panel of former FBI agents. Enlightening. That show and channel is a blessing beyond belief!
I read that article too. All so convenient and really support prosecution’s characterization of the heroes out to save humanity from the likes of racisssss kyle
Binger violated the gun laws in the courtroom by aiming the weapon at jurors with his finger on the trigger!
and by holding the gun like a complete sissy
He had the Detective in the courtroom check the gun for safety before he did that. So, not an issue. The issue with Binger (and his side-kick) is he is obviously left of center, to put it mildly, in the pocket of the DS (Antifa/BLM) to get a conviction in this case. Pray for justice for Kyle. I am.
Um, no. One never points a gun at a person, unless you plan to kill them.
That’s the first sentence you will hear if you ever take a gun safety course.
Additionally, one never takes anyone’s word that a gun is unloaded, even a detective in a courtroom. One always clears the weapon upon receiving it.
Just gun handling 101.
And you don’t put your finger on the trigger unless you’re going to shoot.
Pops taught me those things at 8 years old.
Ask Alec how things go when you think someone else has checked the gun. We have kids that have gotten in trouble for making a gun out of a flipping Pop Tart. This idiot lawyer should know better.
The person holding the weapon is responsible for checking the weapon. If you can’t check it, you shouldn’t be pointing it. Never point a gun at anyone- ever, ever. Always assume a gun is loaded. Basic rules of gun safety.
He’s a proud graduate of the Alec Baldwin School of Gun Safety.
Nothing like digging the gun into your cheek. Looks like he is enjoying pretending to be Rambo. This guy is such a D-bag.
His finger is on the trigger.
This had to backfire. Now the jury knows what it feels like to have a gun pointed at them. A side by side to this photo with Kyle showing incredible trigger discipline would be excellent!
I’m sure this lawyer is hoping to elicit an emotional reaction from the jurors. He needs their focus to pivot to fear, because fear and emotion always override logic and reason.
Kyle’s case obviously wins on logic and reason. So they have to whip up an antidote right quick!
If the jurors were aghast at having this weapon pointed at them, the lawyer is hoping they will transfer those feelings of revulsion onto Kyle.
In their general direction.
Evil.

Cori Bush is always mind-numbingly stupid. St. Louis should be real proud of her.
What’s almost as frightening are the +8k likes her comment garnered…
In his closing, the prosecutor described the people pursuing Rittenhouse as a “crowd full of heroes” trying to stop an “active shooter.”
Wouldn’t that make them a vigilante lynch mob?
The Defense made it clear that Kyle’s actions were not that of an “active shooter.” Pray the jury remembers that.
If Kyle was an “active shooter”, *why wasn’t he actively shooting anyone as he ran* from the mob?
So now I’m totally confused. Was he there to shoot people or was he some “chaos tourist”?? Which is it? Good grief!
Neither. He had a weapon in anticipation of possible use for self-defense. Nothing illegal or illogical about that.
Very smart of him to choose the rifle–a handgun in his possession at his age (17) would have been illegal. And he knew that.
Try to think outside the “trusted sources”
Both prosecutors have been absolutely despicable the entire trial.
By the prosecution’s logic, anybody that Binger pointed that gun at today had the right to charge at him and beat the hell out of him and he would be obliged to take said beating.
Darn shame the whole room didn’t rush him.
Here’s hoping Kyle is cleared of All charges by the Jury and Judge, Binger gets his License to Steal, aka, Bar Card revoked and then Mr. Rittenhouse sues the devil out of the complicit, lying M$M, just as the Covington young man did,… Cha Ching!
Lady Justice may be blind, but we’re not.
Self defense,… the paid Terrorists picked the wrong young man to murder. Comeuppance,… What Justice this would be!
Nancy (DIS) Grace was disgusting on Fox. I watched about 15 min, like watching “The View” she was that stupid. ~
FNC’s Nancy Grace Calls Kyle Rittenhouse ‘Teen Vigilante,’ Guests Label Him ‘Sniveling Kid,’ Possibly Homicidalhttps://www.toddstarnes.com/media/fncs-nancy-grace-calls-kyle-rittenhouse-teen-vigilante-guests-label-him-sniveling-kid-possibly-homicidal/
which excuse are you going to offer for still watching Fox?
I unapologetically LOVE Tucker Carlson’s & Mark Levin’s shows.
She activates my gag reflex.
Grace is unlikable
Yeah, I got the impression Grace had only read accounts of the trial here and there, that she hadn’t even watched much of it, if at all.
She actually called the people who joined her remotely, “an all-star cast” and it included of all things, a crazed “psychoanalyst.”
Grace acts crazy and she should NOT be paid for that mess.
So why isn’t the one armed bandit up on charges?
Rioters cannot possibly be racist or be breaking the law. They are just upset and need something to burn down while being mostly peaceful.

He should be acquitted, he was defending himself from a bunch of criminals….PERIOD
Yes, it really is that simple.
EXCLUSIVE: Prosecution’s star witness in Kyle Rittenhouse case is a career criminal with a history of domestic abuse, prowling, trespass and burglary – but had charges DROPPED just six days before trial began and jury never learned of his past

Gaige Grosskreutz, 28,
That guy is only 28? He looks 45.
Andrew Branca at Law Of Self Defense.com has some harsh words about the quality of the defense summary:
https://legalinsurrection.com/2021/11/rittenhouse-trial-defense-delivers-a-disappointingly-weak-closing-argument/
It was a less than stellar close, but I think the attorney was reading the jury.
People in the courtroom say the facial expressions and body language of many jurors reflected distaste with the prosecutors’
close.
They also seemed tired.
Thus, I think the defense knew they knew the case. I hope so.
I am worried about the verdict that the jury is going to reach regarding Kyle. I don’t think his defense did a very good job. The several things that upset me the most were: 1. The fact that the prosecution kept claiming that Kyle didn’t exhaust all escape routes while trying to avoid Rosenbaum. The defense never pointed out that Kyle was about to run out of room and escape options because Rosenbaum was just about to overtake him; Rosenbaum was so much faster than Kyle, there was no further escape for Kyle. The defense never mentioned that. 2. The prosecution last-minute submission of the enhanced drone video footage was totally doctored, and the defense did not do a good job of pointing that out. It wasn’t an enhancement, it was a distortion. There was other video and photos that clearly show that Kyle did not raise his weapon. Instead, the prosecution was allowed to enter this bullshit doctored video. I know what I’m talking about because I do that photo enhancement stuff in my line of work. 3. The prosecution continually implied that Kyle had a chance to make all these rational decisions about whether his life was in danger or not, as if he had the opportunity to take a step back and contemplate for 15 minutes what the consequences of his actions would be. What total bullshit. 4. The idea that Rosenbaum posed no threat because he was number one, short, and number two, he was unarmed was ridiculous. Whenever there’s a weapon involved and there’s a struggle over the weapon the stronger person has the advantage. It doesn’t matter that Rosenbaum didn’t have a weapon, the fact is that Kyle had a weapon and it could’ve been taken away from him.
The defense could’ve easily argued against the prosecution with their anti-short bias. They could’ve pointed out that Mike Tyson was shorter than most of his opponents. They could’ve pointed out many shorter athletes who have been athletically superior to their taller counterparts.
I’ll say one thing, Rosenbaum was a very fast runner, and he was also somewhat intimidating, because he was such an angry, crazy lunatic.
I was dying to place myself there as the attorney to do the closing argument and point out all the stuff. I think I would’ve done a better job than that defense attorney.
There is one thing to note in all this:
The videos have been taken and are available to the jury, and the eyes can see what is ackshually happening…there is no dispute. Alot of points you are raising are mute cause you are saying “there is no/never” . Trying to prove a negative is not the right approach 😛
You should watch the entire trial again. You have done things wrong
Both of his parents were Bald Eagles!
How was it that he happened to be let out this day of all days and ended up at the riots?
6 years ago, I’d say that question is silly and conspiracy theory junk: now I’d be remiss not to ask it.
I wish the defense had made a point of asking, “does that look like the face of an active shooter?” There was one clip/photo where Kyle had decided to go back to the car place. It was a clear shot of his face, nothing but the look of an innocent kid. Almost like a baby face. Then there are the faces of the hardened thugs. The lawyer pointed out Rosenbaum’s anger on his face, he should have pointed out Kyle’s calm face.

Is it just me, or do the two main lawyers in the case represent the perfect makeup of our country as it stands today? Binger is a metro-sexual, fastidious, well-coiffed and arrogant soy boy with his fancy water bottle, matching pocket squares and perfectly taylored suits and manicured nails. He probably drinks Appletinis and attends performance art theater on the weekends. Meanwhile, Richards is a straight-shooting, tough-talking, Midwestern man who isn’t afraid to be a man and drinks water out of the bottle and isn’t afraid of the F-word in casual conversation. I imagine he drinks whiskey neat and tap beer while playing poker with his buddies or spends the weekends fishing for muskie in Sturgeon Bay on the weekends. I know which one I’d want to have as my lawyer, or even on my side when a barroom brawl (Roadhouse Style) breaks out.
Circling back here ala Big Red Psaki, I have to say I am a bit confused about the negative reaction to Richard’s closing here. I watched it twice and was even more excited the 2nd time through. I thought Richards conversational, seemingly improvised style was passionate and sincere in his defense of his client. I loved the way he stood up for Kyle and I could tell he was chomping at the bit to so, as were many of us at home. This young man volunteered to help that community and what did he get in return? Attacked by a mob, arrested and prosecuted by law enforcement that he supports and maligned and slandered on a national scale all the way to the current white house occupent.
Folks – I’m from Northern Illinois and have spent a lot of time in the Kenosha area and all parts of Wisconsin. I will tell you right now that the people of Kenosha are decent, blue collar, hard working, beer drinking, salt of the earth people. Trust me, Binger is the ONLY person in Kenosha wearing color coordinated pockets squares on a daily basis. Richards is the guy they hang out with at the bar on the weekends.
There is no way Binger related to the jury. Richards did. And Krause (aka Lunchbox?) My goodness did that man seriously drive the final nail in the coffin.
Prediction: NOT GUILTY ON ALL COUNTS. Period. And we will know tomorrow.
I so hope and pray you are correct.

Thomas Binger, desperate; for awhile there today, slipped into a wild west cowboy in a saloon behavior. Is anyone else observing his thoughts crossing themselves? Or that his cognition of people not like himself appears to be non existent. His focus on splitting hairs, dotting every i and crossing each t instead of focusing on facts appears obsessive. Binger focuses on minutia that is irrelevant in it’s influence but transmits an under the radar message; that the Defense, Rittenhouse and the Judge make mistakes, aren’t as accurate as Binger, missed ‘stuff’, they can be wrong.
I’m left to wonder what the left wants from this. Because of the Prosecution’s and the MSM’s response to the video’s I sincerely don’t think it’s The Truth. Instead they may want Their Truth. And that’s disturbing because the jury is just ordinary people who may have created a tolerance for injustice as they watched the looters, arsonists and hatred last summer and none were punished. Am I observing fiendish behavior or something more dangerous?,
The Judge nailed Binger on his repetition; a method of programming people so they remember what you want them to. They parrot what you repeated. Trump used it in two’s and three’s. He learned it in Riverside Presbyterian Church in NYC from the family’s Pastor. Binger uses it in five’s. Five repetitions is akin to beating a person. But it works.
Judge Solomon on the converse said the jury will turn you off if you repeat repeat repeat
The prosecution’s summation was basically an appeal to emotions. Which means he has no evidence and facts to support the charges. All we can do is wait and see if the jury judges the kid on emotions or facts.
