Kyle Rittenhouse shot and killed Joseph Rosenbaum and Anthony Huber as he was being attacked by a raging mob. Rittenhouse, also fired on Gaige Grosskreutz as the attacker held a handgun toward him. Prosecutors claim that Rittenhouse was a vigilante looking for a fight. The defense, and all video of the events, show all shootings were justifiable self defense.
The trial continues today with jury instructions and closing arguments. PBS Livestream Link

Again, I ask why a mob would chase an active shooter? Most people drop and hide, cover their heads, and call 911. They didn’t do that because Kyle was not an active shooter.
And, as Richards said, in his closing, why would Rittenhouse give away his body armor if he planned to be an active shooter, or be in a dangerous situation with live fire?
Richards is snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.
seems like he’s all over the place and random.
Richards should of said in his closing statement to the jury what you heard was a narrative obscuring the facts
Use the narrative then show the facts. Use the prosecutor’s narrative of alleged illegal actions and show its was not illegal.
And keep repeating prosecutors narrative vs fact.
Nice, calm, chain of event story telling, but yet getting a polite jab here and there.
How does the darn cameraman know to point the camera right when Kyle yawns?
Open Secrets is digging up facts on Binger:

Binger looks like he is drinking from a bottle.
The best witness in this trial was Kyle Rittenhouse for himself. That is what matters to the jury. Plus, the prosecutor appears to have been making up stories and trying to manipulate witnesses.
I think the defense attorney is being thorough. Not everyone is Perry Mason, right? He has a good speaking voice and he is conversational.
I disagree regarding Richards, but I hope your opinion prevails.
I totally agree that Kyle was a fantastic witness.
Rekieta Law is, for the most part, positive on Richards’ closing statement. They’ve been nitpicking defense, but happy with Richards now.
Agree. I think there’s a chance of acquittal. If I were betting, I might bet on hung jury, just because it only takes one ideologue. But Hung or acquittal. I don’t think you’re going to see a compromise verdict on this one.
I need to say this, several times, loud and clear: FJB FJB FJB FJB!!!!!!

The White House on Monday condemned “vigilantes” armed with “assault weapons” as the Kyle Rittenhouse trial wrapped up in Wisconsin.
“What I can reiterate for you is the president’s view that we shouldn’t have, broadly speaking, vigilantes patrolling our communities with assault weapons,” White House press secretary Jen Psaki said during the daily briefing.
Psaki said she would not specifically address an ongoing trial, but indicated that Biden was not supportive of individuals defending their communities.
She reacted to the Rittenhouse trial on Monday after Fox News reporter Peter Doocy asked her about Biden’s assertion on social media that Kyle Rittenhouse was a “white supremacist.”
Add Gin Saki to the list of people who will soon be a lot poorer when Kyle gets done suing the living crud out of them for defamation. Lulz. Enjoy your gloating, Peppermint Sucky. Your day’s coming, you half-baked trog. ?
Yes we do need vigilantes – people who will defend their families, their property, and their communities at all times, and yes, shoot until the threat stops. That is the entire reason for the 2nd Amendment. The Communists in our midst prefer to disarm us. Nope.
I have law enforcement persons in my family. Good, honest, reliable, skilled, people – the kind of people that are the first ones into a building in order to protect their partners and teams, sacrificing their own lives to save others, all day and night long. I’m sick to death of anyone who promotes violent “protests” and wants to defund the police and then whine about Americans defending themselves. Utter B.S. The only reason Kyle was put in that position is because of the Communists (call them Liberals or Democrats, I don’t care.). When law enforcement is ordered to Stand Down, we need every able bodied, armed, man, woman, and child willing to protect and defend what is there.
Hey Democrats! Novel idea! Try FUNDING the police. Try PROTECTING and DEFENDING communities. Try it!!
This trial is only about the 2nd Amendment. They want to disarm us. Nope. Nope. Nope. They are evil people.
It seems plausible that the gun holders, Zminski and Grosskeutz, are FBI ops, provoking nuts like Rosenbaum to set fires and then trying to pull back from violence leading to death if possible.
That’s the scandal here- this was an fbi op. As were all the antifa riots across USA. Deep state was running the show to destroy trump.
Yup. That’s another reason the state is protecting them by not searching their phones. Because their phones almost certainly at a minimum show coordination setting up the ambush of Kyle, and very possibly show coordination between Zeminskis and Gaige G and the FIB drone operators.
Why couldn’t the defense have subpoened that information before the trial? After all, the 3 cases were linked by the prosecutor or judge.
Yes! Why not execute the search warrant as to Grosskreutz?
You have to ask yourself, why the FBI drone video exists but no real intervention by law enforcement?
The FBI is there. The FBI has drones out. And, those drone videos easily revealed in real time, well in advance of these shootings, revealing many armed individuals.
Were those individuals FBI plants is a very good question.
Exactly ?
The ‘victims’ and this zminski fella seem a tad too similar in personal history for it to be a coincidence. They are perfect informant material.
Also btw from a personal anecdote:
I was in LA for first night of riots. A antifa thug had a Molotov cocktail lit and was about to launch it at a line of cops who were cordoning off my block. And then a second fella came over to the bottle holder, said a couple of words to him and I guess persuaded him to not throw it.
Now a year later, an epiphany: I wonder if the second guy was a FBI handler.
Disposable psychos
Doocey asks Psaki about Biden’s smearing of Rittenshouse:
Binger is a good example of poor prosecution discretion in an effort to further his career.
eh, turns out Rittenhouse’s lawyer is a kid whw lived a street over from me. Not surprised he’s a lawyer, he was a talker. Good natured, likeable person. idk, brings back memories of riding bikes around the neighborhood and giving each othe sh#t…
Richards improved when he went sequentially through the videos. I hope it will be enough.
Wish he’d played it once all the way through without stopping, to show how quickly it all happened.
Kyle is amazing. Quick mind and quick reflex. This is self defense.
If I was being pursued and I had a rifle, I would probably turn and threaten and shoot! Ane I would think I was justified to do so. Kyle did not do that.
Would love to have heard in closing, “If the prosecution’s case is sh!t, You must aquit.”
Nice.
The snitty Binger seems like the kinda guy who doesn’t respond well to being pilloried personally. Richards called him a liar. Pointed out bad ethics.
Will be interesting to see Binger’s tone during rebuttal.
Also, he’ll be starting rebuttal at about 5pm. Jurors have watches, and will be holding every minute after 5pm against him. They know they’ve heard it all. They’re ready to go.
Last thing on the two lawyers. Richards has been infuriating — but at the end of the day, he well plays the part of the guy who says “use your common sense.” Binger is trying to carry the righteous umbrage of people who are uncomfortable with guns, and may disapprove of the looting, but at the end of the day flat out don’t think people should be waking around armed. He’s not suited to play up that angle. He’s too snitty and coiffed. He embodies the bowtie jack ass you picture cowering in a corner while others step up, inadvertently highlighting that it’s the likes of the Bingers in the world who sip white wine in their country clubs while a town burns to the ground. In terms of affect, Richards fit the part he needed to play (no nonsense common sense) and Binger did not fit the part of someone who could credibly and persuasively carry essentially the anti-gun POV.
Building and refuting a case can be compared to the Jenga game in which one person tries to build a tower with the wooden sticks. The other person pulls out one stick after another, and eventually can make the whole thing collapse.
I thought Richards was a little too tedious, but I can see how he was going through the sticks of Binger’s case, and one-by-one, pulling them out.
A defense should have a narrative of its own (Richards should have started out with an overall summary of his narrative), but must also poke holes in the prosecution. Anything to get to reasonable doubt.
And yes, Binger was snitty, and self-righteous, too. Pointing that gun at the jury….WTF?
Prosecution is ending with the sniveling miserable dough boy fink. This guy is SO off-putting.
Richards also called Binger whiney. Binger got hissy over that.
If Binger were wise, his rebuttal would be under 10 mins.
If it goes longer, it’ll be because he took the attacks personally, can’t read the audience, and he’ll be actively pissing off the jury.
Jonathan Turley
@JonathanTurley
The best part of the defense was the video summation. Richards has the type of rough hewn style that can be appealing to a case with highly localized elements. He scored in calling Binger to account for his alleged misrepresentation of evidence…
2/. …He also laid out an easy course for the jury to follow in its deliberation — a road map that was missing with Binger. However, the greatest impact was likely the final video as he showed Rittenhouse refraining from using force and then responding to attacks…
3/. Binger also set up Richards attack with the social media posting after he built up Grosskreutz as a heroic figure trying to stop an “active shooter.”…
4/. …Binger could have used the active shooter narrative (which I think was a good framing for the prosecution) without tying the credibility of the case to the character of some of these individuals.
5:46 PM · Nov 15, 2021
The active shooter line falls apart in the face of the reality that KR had the same rifle all night, and could have gunned down 30 “protesters” from the dealership rooftop. He obviously didn’t. Everyone he shot was actively attacking and/or threatening him. And KR didn’t finish of Grosskreutz — he stopped when Grosskreutz was no longer a threat.
It’s Kraus instead of Binger!
Uh oh. Judge is pissed
Binger pissed off the judge twice during the trial, and now co-counsel does it during closing???
Both Binger and Krause inappropriately brought up 5th Amendment rights??
Well, at least this woke the jury up.
Keep the info coming. I had to leave, so I can’t see what’s happening. ?
Dough boy is walking the jury through a video of the Rosenbaum shooting. Pressing the argument that even if first shot was justified, he didn’t need to shoot Rosenbaum more than once.
Fatty dough boy is berating the jury. That’s how they’re closing.
Although Richards didn’t do as well as he could, Kraus is tanking their case.
Richards wants a sur-rebuttal to refute Kraus.
Kraus is getting snotty with the judge…OMG
Kraus has no self-awareness.
I’m listening to Rekieta commentary in real time, and one lawyer speculated that Kraus can see they’ve lost the jury, and that’s why he’s yelling at them.
Who knows, but Kraus has done the same thing to the judge (ie, yell at him when he perceives that things aren’t going his way)
Good grief.
The jury instructions were a joke, and now the prosecutor’s rebuttal to the defense’s closing statement looks like a clown car crash.
Is this judge clueless?
I think he’s trying to be very careful to avoid an appellate court finding reversible error, and sending it back for a new trial.
The judge is running out of mental horsepower to untangle all this
news commentator said the judge would have been better off just sustaining the objection and telling prosecutor to move on to something else
Agree
He’s vacillates too much. The defense says nothing. The prosecution keeps talking til they can get the judge to agree with something. So tiring.
The jury doesn’t hear it, but they get ushered into the library each time. You have to figure the jury is SO over this.
And every time they get ushered out, it’s because of something the prosecution said.
https://images.app.goo.gl/enWWxF9m9ejjrueG9
No idea the prosecutor had a second career.
The prosecuting attorneys are trying to introduce new evidence (that the defense did not call a witness) during the closing arguments? How are these prosecutors not purposely sabotaging their own case by their actions, from their opening statements to their closing ones?
Richards commented during his closing that there was no mention of provocation during the prosecution’s opening.
I hope the judge grants Richards some sur-rebuttal time.
Who else thinks that Binger looks like Dennis the Menace’s father?
I’m not so familiar with criminal court proceedings, but it seems unfair in closing arguments that the prosecution gets to rebut in closing, but the defense does not.
The party with the burden of proof gets the last word.
So there is a guy that looks like Pedophile and a guy looks like Pee Wee Herman prosecuting?
Is this a new video the prosecution is showing or are the showing previously entered evidence and just replaying it?
Replay. Can’t introduce new evidence in closing.
Fatso: “There’s no such thing as a right-handed or left-handed gun.” I hope there’s at least one person on the jury is familiar with firearms.
I tried to find out if the voir dire of the jury pool included a question on gun ownership. Couldn’t find anything in a quick internet search.
Stag Arms makes both right and left.
And I own 3 of their left ARs. 2-AR15s and 1-AR10.
There is it’s dependent on which side the shell ejects from gun.
With a semi auto it makes a big deal. (You don’t want hot brass landing on ya when shell ejects)
Also safety can be placed differently for left handed shooters than right handed
But any gun can be used by a left or right handed person. ?
Here comes the baby bottle, all he needs is his diaper to go w/his hair.
This guy Kraus is a moron. Seriously, checking off his little list. What an idiot….making no sense at all….
The defense’s posture looks like they’ve given up.
The prosecution would be more credible if they admitted to the mayhem and at least tacitly accepted the distinction between “protesters” and the crazed rioters everyone can see on video. By arguing that Rittenhouse was an “active shooter” at tea party, they hurt their credibility.
In closing, the prosecutor claims there are no such things as left-handed guns.
What a moron.
My son is left-handed and has a couple of left-handed guns.
Does anyone know if the jury has the case yet? I cannot believe the Prosecutor pointed a rifle in a courtroom with his hand on the trigger. Enough
No, they get it after the closings are done.
But this is why the judge should have held them to their time limits. Prosecution gets the last word – but they’re not supposed to get twice as much time. It may be working against them going on so long. But it’s also not fair to get last word and twice as much time. They’re supposed to have to reserve a portion of their time for rebuttal.
Both sides got a total of 2 1/2 hours, but didn’t have to use it all. Defense doesn’t get a sur-rebuttal except in unusual circumstances. Richards asked for sur-rebuttal, but was denied.
Judge said he’d let ’em go 8 hrs if they wanted. I don’t know how long the prosecution ended up going, but judge let know they’d have all the time they want. Another (IMO) bad call by judge.
But dough boy did them no favors. Snitty and Fatty just couldn’t read the room.
“He’s a chaos tourist…” really?
After Binger’s and Richard’s closings, both of which were a bit tedious, Kraus would have been well advised to give a more general summary as sur-rebuttal. “Let’s step back and look and the full picture of what happened,” and then go through the major points.
Instead Kraus is doing a tit-for-tat the way Richards did, and the jury’s minds must be numb by now.
With a mocking tone. He is textbook definition of unlikable.
Ever see an “I Love Lucy” episode in which Ricky would say to Lucy in a condescending manner, “Let me ‘splain it to you , Lucy.”?
Kind of reminds me of that.
Ha! yeah, but that had an element of charm at least. No charm from the angry dough boy.
Prosecution keeps using term “chaos tourist”. Has anyone mentioned “RIOT tourist”?
This thing about whether Rosenbaum was coming from prison or a hospital is so bizarre. It’s one or the other. That both sides try to draw an inference is just weird. Either put up the fact or quit talking about it.
I hold this against the defense. The prosecution put up enough to raise an inference — they opened the door — and the defense should have subpoenaed the facts.
Personally Rosenbaum’s karma came calling. Sexually abusing five boys ages 9 to 11 should have punished far worse than he was. God made sure he was.
A tad coincidental that he was released into a riot no?
How and why was he released?
Fatlock bringing it for prosecution lol terrible job bro
Looks like the jury won’t get to decide tonight.
I think they can decide if they want to stay and start deliberations. If it were me, I’d want to get started. But understandable if they wouldn’t want to.

“You have no disregard for human life” ??????? What a moron!
Kyle wasn’t the only w/a gun. Sick women. The jury has more women than men, I hope all of Kenosha’s females aren’t like these two.
Those ladies lost their damned minds.
I hope this jury says they’d like to stay after closing and get started with deliberations, and come back in an hour with not guilty.
No, they’re starting tomorrow.
9:00. When I did jury duty we weren’t asked what time we wanted to come back. And we were told not to be late.
No such luck. More time for someone to get to them over night. I think they should have been sequestered. Does anyone really believe they won’t look at internet or TV?
