The “producer price index” is essentially the tracking of wholesale prices at three stages: Origination (commodity), Intermediate and Final. The Bureau of Labor and Statistics (BLS) released stunning price data [Available Here] showing a dramatic 7.8% price increase in Final Demand products at the wholesale level.
When you see the wholesale level of prices almost double the increase in consumer level inflation rate, you can predict that consumer prices will likely go even higher. The future finished goods at a retail level will carry the current wholesale price increase. Stuff costs a lot now… and stuff is about to cost even more pretty soon.
Food products are fast-turn consumable goods, and the inflation in the food sector is jaw-dropping already. However, fresh and processed foods turn at different inventory levels.
Obviously fresh foods spoil fastest (think produce, fish, meats and dairy) so they are replenished more quickly and the thin supply chain (field to fork) passes along increased costs fast. Processed foods have a longer shelf life (boxed, canned, frozen, etc), and as a consequence have a much larger inventory level in manufacturing, warehousing and retail storerooms/shelves. Within processed foods, there is a lag between cost increase at origination and that cost hitting the stores.
The problem identified within the current ‘producer price index’ is that price increases in the raw material and intermediate material are building into the supply chain. Keep in mind the entire supply chain is dependent on energy costs and the fuel prices that impact transportation.
The retail consumer supply chain for manufactured and processed food products includes bulk storage to compensate for seasonality. There are over 800 commercial and public warehouses in the continental 48 states that store frozen products (2020 data). The previously processed food price increases are currently reflected on store shelves (already hurting). However, the coming processed food price increases will be much, much higher. We will see even higher prices on processed foods in the supermarket.
The same price increases will happen for restaurants, perhaps faster, as they follow the similar supply chain to fresh foods.
BigAg has likely already made deals with their congressional sales-force for increases in government welfare payments (EBT and Foodstamps, WIC etc.). BigAg lobbies congress for higher reimbursement rates so they can raise the prices of food and export domestic product to other nations. Food assistance payments increase, and BigAg benefits. In essence, BigAg takes the fed food subsidies and fattens their profit margin. Then, they payback the politicians. It’s a circle of money.
It’s transient inflation!
-President Crash Test Dummy-
The society needs a certain amount of good & services to stay in price equilibrium. If you add non-productive workers and recipients they’re not adding anything; you have the same amount of goods & services with more people demanding them. Then when you compound this with the fact that their government job probably makes things more difficult to produce you can start to see why things become much more expensive.
I say start because in a massive society you’re going to have the snowballing effects of market momentum and psychology to contend with also. Plus synergistic effects like adding to the Money Supply. I can’t imagine anything more Inflationary than a government using Monetary Policy to fight its own people tooth & nail.
Carter trashed the economy, Reagan turned it around.
Obummer trashed the economy, Trump turned it around.
I truly believe the Bidenites are trashing the economy so thoroughly, that NO ONE will be able to put humpty-dumpty back together again.
Sadly, I fear we have already reached that point.
If we get a chance we can put it back together, that’s where the psychology can really be beneficial, after-all it’s what we do. It’s more like a really sick cow that starts getting better.
In an Upside Down World you might have the non producing eating and earning more via unemployment, welfare, etc…. than the working people. That sure does make a lot of sense…. it’s no wonder everything is F3cked up… LOL. Nothing like going to work 50-60 hours a week to barely pay the bills while your neighbors across the street in section 8 Govt’ housing are BBQ’ing every day of the week…. while on foodstamps LMAO.
Actually that happened to me last summer. I was put out of my good job May 1. I went to work at a local farm store. I went from $71, 400 a year to $11 per hour straight time, part-time, no benefits manual labor. Not complaining. I am happy I had the work. But, had I stayed home and collected my “unemployment” bonus money, I would have made $875 a week all summer long chilling in the house. I earned an average of $330 a week working. I got a better job in July, but still not as good as I did have, but you still see the problem. People were making the equivalent of $42k a year (more than I make now) for doing zippy zap. It was too much “assistance” then and the extra $300 is too much now. Stop it all and tell the bums to get back to work. They aren’t too good to sling pallets of feed onto shelves all day every day.
The border, killing energy production, ending fossil fuels and internal combustion engines, massive spending, massive inflation, institutionalizing CRT, The Green New Deal = de-industrialization. You don’t have to be in a conspiracy to behave like a conspirator. All you need is a common play-book and Marxist based Critical Theory provides the narrative. And we have elected Republicans who are supporting this crap?
“And we have Republicans who support this crap?”
Yes, you and we all KNOW we do. The two faced Uniparty, (one party, two faces, or “wings” has been compromised.
It could also be called “CCP-USA”, and McConnell, McCarthy, Pelosi and Schumer are politobureu members, in charge of the legislative branch.
All others, elected to Senate or House, are mere proxies for those 4.
We have NO Constitutional Democratic Republic, any more.
Its GONE.
WE haven’t reach the final stage, where the agents that got us there are purged, but its coming.
And while there may be some schedenfrude, watching the likes of AOC take a bullet to the brain, the satisfaction will be offset by the misery for all.
Learn the story of the Velvet revolution, so you can repeat it.
An armed insurrection by a percentage of the population, such as the 1956 chech revolt, can be dealt with, with tanks.
Even a tianamen square of perhaps millions, can be dealt with the same way.
Only 100 percent UNITY of the population can discharge the marxists, once they gain control.
“They can’t shoot us all” is the only hope.
THIS is why they are feavishly generating multiple false narratives at once; to keep us fractioned and fighting each other over distractions like CRT, Trans foolishness, masks/vax, elections, GND, and anything else, just to keep us divided, while they consolidate power.
They think they will succeed, and they may be correct in that assumption.
Only AFTER the useful idiots become dissolusioned, can the Velvet revolution option be excercised. And we ain’t THERE, yet.
Killing energy production has back loaded. The current production is heavily down from Feb 2020 due to the Covid lockdown. But, fear not, the 5 year future is going to be much worse than we are seeing now. Biden has killed the future. Literally. Begging OPEC now is laughable. Begging OPEC in 3-5 years will be a whole different story. CA gas prices are hovering in the high $4’s. $5+ is right around the corner. The pain bumbles is promising will start by the end of his term. US car makers will be ramping up the EV plan. The assumption is it will initiate a drop in demand at the pump. Perhaps.
BUT THE KILLER…
If energy investors don’t see a profitable window to keep private land energy development moving, then the future development $$$$ starts to dry up. That will be the tipping point. Since there is no appetite in blue Amerika for nuclear power, the added draw on the grid by EVs combined will force all sorts of pain on the forced purchase of EVs.
The 30’s might easily be worse this round than last century.
Fuel prices in Central Ca are already at and above what you write. Energy charges are over 8% higher now compare to last year as of last month. This is creating an untenable situation as the costs will need to be passed on and eventually buyers of certain products will cease to purchase. Thanks JoeBamama!
Thus is what you get when you place a buffoonish career beaurocrat with no vision or coherent policy or any success in handling commerce and economics. Heck..hes not even actually in charge anyway he just does what hes told.
Gavin Newsom is skittering along the edge of losing it.
https://californiaglobe.com/section-2/california-gov-gavin-newsoms-odd-damn-video-interview/
Newsom can shove it up his arse. This show is over. Now, to expose his corruption, as his State digs out of the hole.
Hes got mail in voting prepped and ready to go. Who ever is winning on the might next day Newsom will magically go ahead. California was the test lab for the election we just had. I may be pleasantly surprised and see Newsim ousted but hes got all the fixes in tight now.
Aunty Drunkard will fix it for Widdle Gavvie. It’s the Piglousy Way!
I want PT to continue to ask Americans the following common sense questions………..
1) How does giving up US energy independence benefit Americans?
2) And by doing so how does asking Americans to pay 100% more for gas and energy benefit Americans?
3) How does ignoring illegals and the crime, drugs and trafficking that comes with it benefit Americans?
4) How does halting the border wall protect and help Americans?
5) How does outsourcing American manufacturing and jobs overseas benefit Americans?
6) How does CRT which promotes and teaches people to hate people benefit America and not be viewed as a racists message?
7) How does raising taxes benefit Americans?
8) How does allowing inflation to accelerate to 5-9% benefit Americans?
9) How does continuing endless wars, especially since ISIS has been defeated, benefit Americans?
10) How does shutting down and controlling free speech benefit Americans?
11) How does taking Citizen’s guns benefit Americans?
12) How does denying honest and fully transparent election audits benefit Americans?
13) How does having unlimited mail in ballots, no voter ID and machines possibly connected to the internet make elections more secure?
14) How does having a very bias media and big tech where all messages are controlled benefit Americans?
15) How does forcing an experimental jab on our children when 99.95% of the young people recover, benefit American children?
16) How does having a FIB and DOJ that clearly demonstrates a two tier system of justice benefit Americans?
17) How does ignoring the rule of law and defunding police departments benefit Americans?
18) How is it that BLM can burn buildings, destroy businesses, beat people and nothing happens to them while protestors who enter the capital with no weapons, don’t burn anything, get locked up for months? How is this equal justice?
19) How does eliminating tariffs on countries where there is a huge trade imbalance thus forcing America and Americans to pay billions to these countries benefit Americans?
20) How will a declining stock market, thus 401K’s and IRA’s due to massive inflation (not COVID) benefit Americans.
The bottom line is NONE of the Biden policies make sense and NONE of them benefit Americans.
Americans need to see what the democrat party really is and that is a pure Socialist Party that brings NO BENEFIT to Americans of a Capitalist and Constitutional Republic.
The democrat party is the party of death, destruction, racism and divide with the real goal of these socialists to destroy our freedoms and this great Republic from the inside.
Has there ever been a Socialist Country where their people prospered?
IMO PT needs to ask these questions to all Americans and what will become very obvious from these common sense questions is Biden, Obama and all their cronies are on the same level as Stalin, Lenin, Mao Zedong and Castro.
So ask yourself, how did the PEOPLE of these socialist country leaders benefit?
Answer – They didn’t.
Walk up America before your country and freedoms are gone!
Run for office, Bogeyfree!
Bogey, neither party wants us to benefit…we are too ‘normal’ for the libs…too callow for the GOP…remember, the GOOP got stuck with us as the Dems moved left.
They want us working enoiugh to pay taxes, enough to provide an income to the state.
Typo for GOP above but I think I will leave it….
The most troubling aspect of this raping of America is that there are so many ignorant sheep on the left that have their heads so far up the collective asses that they still try to defend this Odumbo/Joebama farce.
We got stuck with the GOPe when the Democrats made the hard left turn.
A lot of these RINOs would be centrist Democrats like Zell Miller or Sam Nunn if it weren’t for the Democrats channeling their inner Mao.
That is a list of excellent questions….and the final question must be: who in the Joebama administration will give an honest answer?
That’s the whole idea to totally destroy and disarm the country.
Until people start suffering I mean really suffering they will not do anything.
Wait until there is no food no jobs and blackouts become commonplace.
In German during the reign of one Adolf Hitler people were lucky to have blood pudding to eat made from geese blood. There was no food.
I have family member still alive who lived through these times.
Don’t forget the butter made from coal.
Who said anything about “benefiting Americans”? Certainly not *resident Joe.
Barry has always been a Marxist. His parents were Marxists, and his mother’s parents were Marxist. Barry has been a Marxist from a very young age, but learned to hide it to get ahead. Now, when he’s behind the curtain, he has no boundaries and is going for broke. He must steal the 2022 mid-terms to keep his momentum going.
Those 8 years Obama spent in Indonesia where is stepfather was a bureaucrat in the Suharto regime were very formative years for Obama.
Great list. I am going to add how does transporting thousands of border crossers with covid thru the country help Americans?
And you can add the fact that in some parts of the U.S, over the road truckers are in short supply
My son drives big rigs for UPS and they’re having a hard time finding drivers.
He’s technically a part-time driver but he gets between 50-60 hours each week.
Drivers and truckers of all stripes can wield enormous power if they organized. But so far, it’s not happening. They could stand against vaccine mandates, for example, and bring this country to a grinding halt. Might happen anyway.
I would like to see a trucker blockade of the District of Corruption once the fraud is shown until the pretenders leave office and the legitimate POTUS is inaugurated..it will not happen cause they work for a living and cannot take the hit to their pocketbook
THIS THIS THIS.
yet another thing we could be doing at any point to peacefully make our voice heard. blockades and work stoppages, but it must be by the millions.
We had better learn to resist soon.
Currently there is too much division and indecision.
Just wait until that guaranteed $3000/month per dependent child cashflow starts. Only evil rednecks and old puritanical Presbyterians will still hold jobs. The rest of our brilliant electorate may well stay home.
It’s $300/month per child up to age 6 ($250 for age 6 and above)
https://www.irs.gov/newsroom/irs-treasury-announce-families-of-88-percent-of-children-in-the-us-to-automatically-receive-monthly-payment-of-refundable-child-tax-credit
One of the biggest shortages is truck drivers in California, where they are purposely paying people excess unemployment, for Govt bailouts like they already received. It’s no wonder the whole country is lacking products, they are holding us hostage ( via handouts and people not working) at the Cali ports.
Short supply describes just about everything, across the board these days. Try finding a tradesperson to do anything you need one. Good luck. At many businesses, no one answers the phone anymore. You have to leave a message (good luck waiting for a call back) or submit some freaking web form.
Inch by inch by inch. Or perhaps I should say degree, by degree, by degree until….. S***, the water’s boiling!
Many of these contractors are in short supply because of the short supply chain of goods. I have a 525 home subdivision being built a mile from me. For 2 years, it went along nicely, now they have slowed to a crawl because it is hard to find building materials. They can’t take on more work and laid many off.
Yup, that Government cheese says it all…
”There’s free cheese in every mousetrap.”
The mousetrap is the vaccine which I’m sure they will mandate to get your “cheese”.
Government cheese?
Congratulations, Joe Biden!
You have set another record!
“Unprecedented” as the left loves to say (as if just because something is “unprecedented” it’s automatically good).
Unprecedented intersectionality !!!
Unprecendented intersectional trans race theory!!!! (OK. Now you go!)
And they probably, cooked the books, to get those numbers.
Hey all of you Trump Haters, how ya liking that “Build Back Better” now ?? …………..
The Trump Haters are mostly “immune” from this. They have their high paying government, media, entertainment, and academia jobs. Or they’re simply on the government dole – getting various government support payments. And the haters who have none of that are simply brainwashed and won’t know what happened when they find themselves broke and are out on the street. But they’ll blame Trump for it anyway, guaranteed.
Yup, yup, yup, yup, and yup. Unfortunately.
Many middle age and young adults don’t even know what’s going and don’t care.
They believe what CNN says this is just a temporary economic downturn which is because and they blame it on something that sounds plausible.
They are going to be surprised when they find their country no longer is theirs.
They are in for a very “rude awakening.”
January/February 2020 were probably the best months in people’s entire careers: great paying jobs, low energy prices, low cost of “stuff” and then just like that it was taken because we had it too good.
Higher prices will result in Walmart having to put more things under lock and key.
The Biden economy is best expressed by the number of assaults on commercial airlines. They seem to be getting popular.
What a mess! What a mess! President Trump please do not endorse any sitting individual. Instead use your influence to get every new person you can into congress and hopefully through congress we can fix some of the other losers.
You get what State legislators vote for.
Unexpectedly.
All by design. On purpose.
Crash the petri-dollar, society, economy…..under the “cover” of COVID
“BigAg lobbies congress for higher reimbursement rates…”
Can someone explain this part of it? Who is getting reimbursed, who is doing the reimbursing, and what is it a reimbursement of? I’m lost.
Part of the lobbying in the food industry is to advocate for the expansion of U.S. taxpayer benefits to underwrite the costs of the domestic food products they control. By lobbying DC these multinational corporations get congress and policy-makers to expand the basis of who can use Food Stamps, EBT and SNAP benefits (state reimbursement rates).Expanding the federal subsidy for food purchases is part of the corporate profit dynamic.
With increased taxpayer subsidies, the food price controllers can charge more domestically and export more of the product internationally. Taxes, via subsidies, go into their profit margins. The corporations then use a portion of those enhanced profits in contributions to the politicians. It’s a circle of money.
Thank you! I understand now. Yeah, ugly ugly circle of money.
A merry-go-round, more than a circle. One upon which the American taxpayer has no handhold.
The money flies out of our pockets and circles back to the politicians.
Sounds like the strategy that “higher education” has used for many years, driving the tuition increase WAY higher than cost of living, only to be picked up by gubmint aid (taxpayers)….and we know how they, and their brainwashed products, vote….
” The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But,under the name of ” liberalism “they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.”
Norman Thomas.
Indeed. It was puzzling when, at rallies, Trump would say we would never become a socialist country because the process already appeared well underway. That said, everything he predicted would happen if he didn’t win is happening, other than us speaking Chinese. That hasn’t happened. Yet.
My grandson is starting kindergarten at a charter school in Louisiana this fall. Just found out that he will be learning Mandarin there this year. It’s just a matter of time.
I can hear big corporations laughing and laughing, they get to price gouge us and the elites win another round while the poor and middle class suffer.
Sundance, I think we need a link for Treepers, that relates to common sense tips and tactics that will help us survive this economic disaster. You know, the little things we all do, to save money and time…because we all know, trite as it is, “time is money”.
An old Scottish saying: “…watch the pennies and the pounds will take care of themselves.”
You know, a thread, maybe weekly or so…where Treepers can share real ideas that have worked to help their budget. Call it “Watching the pennies…”…
Fantastic idea! Would be so helpful to get a starter list and then pool our ideas on the thread!!!
I was thinking this exact same thing a couple nights ago!
Retired Magistrate here: Some things you can do to save money. Most grocery stores still have coupons that you can upload or that are sent in the mail; use them. Every time I go to the store and use coupons I save at least $10 or so. If bread is on sale get 4 or 5 loaves; you can freeze it along with other baked goods. Fresh produce is also available now at roadside stands; most of those items can be frozen also.
Shop at yard sales and consignment stores for clothing, small household appliances, gifts, etc. You would be surprised at some of the really nice things you can find cheap.
Keep your house in good repair; however, do not remodel. Here in Central Ohio the housing market is already starting to slow down.
A new company opened here in Central Ohio; Sheetz. Their gas is $2.75 per gallon and the Kroger next to them is also now $2.75 so a mini gas war. We are taking advantage and keeping our cars and gas cans filled up.
During the hottest part of the day, close your drapes or blinds. If you don’t have any put sheets up at the south facing windows. This will help on your cooling bill. In the Winter when the sun is shining open the drapes; if not keep the drapes closed.
Make use of your local library. Most have current CD’s, DVD’s, books, magazines, etc. and there is no charge.
Trade items with neighbors. Get together every couple of seeks and see what you can trade with one another. This includes produce from gardens, school clothes, books, etc.
Keep your current car in good repair. Car prices are very high right now. Now is not the time to buy a new car.
Finally, the best gift of all is the day that you have. Enjoy it and try to bring joy to someone else.
Amen! Well said, Marcia.
Great advice!
I buy whole chickens on sale and cut them up myself–I like certain brands that have a good quality like Springer Mountain Farms. I freeze the backs and wing tips for bone broth, cut up rest of the chicken to ‘fry’ in the oven in a cast iron skillet, or cut up and freeze into packages of breasts, thighs, wings, etc.
As we eat these meals, I save the bones and these go in a bag in the freezer with the backs. When the bag is full, I add water and cook these for 3 hours in the instant pot (add a little vinegar to draw out the calcium) then separate bones from broth.
The broth is frozen again for soups, any meat is removed from the bones, some being set aside and frozen to add in soup and the rest to feed to our dogs–they love this treat! No waste except the bones after bone broth and fat cut away. Bone broth is about $18 for 3 qts. at Sams and this is much better than commercial. My freezer is full from what I bought during TN tax free week.
Marcia, your comments are always spectacular.
Here’s a few saving steps I’ve developed:
Start saving toiled paper cardboard roll centers. Put these around your veggie seedlings when setting them out. They will biodegrade and protect your tender plant from weather and bugs.
Use halves of egg shells from your cooking and put them into the cardboard egg carton. Put garden soil in each half eggshell. Start a vegetable seed in each half eggshell. Transplant when the seedlings are well sprouted. Calcium for the plant and soil and biodegradable for the environment.
If you have horses and flies bother their legs in the pasture and you have old work jeans that are worn out at the knees, cut the jeans off at the knees and then at the thighs. Cut each of the four half-legs along the out-seam. Attach some self-gripping tape from the dollar store so that the sides will close together again. Put snugly around your horse’s legs. No more fly stomping and a lot cheaper than fly spray. Horse prone to roll and muddy up the fly boots? Put the dirty boots in the wash–just like you would dirty jeans.
If you live in FL where selling yard eggs is a criminal offense, you can donate your excess egg production to Farm Share if you neighbors don’t want the excess–mine all have their own hens.
Prebuy propane price went up 10 cents today. The price is 1.59 and it was 1.25 last year. It is only going to get worse.
By design folks. Gets us to the great reset or the Great Awakening.
It’s up to We The People!
Just say no!
Cloward-Piven
Obama had his funemployment. Biden has his funflation. Don’t laugh. The media actually pushed the narrative for Obama so they won’t flinch at all doing the same for Biden.
The difference between Obama and Biden is a difference without a distinction.
Anything the media does in the name of Biden is not done on behalf of Biden, who is irrelevant. It is done on behalf of Obama and his network.
Buy ahead ASAP. Canned and frozen food, socks and underwear, new shoes or next size up clothes for your kids, any needed coats or even small appliances.
Christmas presents – supposedly they are expecting higher prices and low stock on toys come Christmas.
And don’t buy Hasbro.
An old-school chest freezer, one that is NOT frost-free, and a whole-house generator sized correctly to power HVAC, well pump, and fool storage / prep equipment: Those are THE two investments you should be considering right now.
If you have a well, get the well driller to install a pitcher pump on the well head. Mine cost less than 1200. No electricity? No problem. And no noisy generator to tip off the savages/lawless/grubermint.
And pet food! It’s hard to find in my area
They are literally trying to kill us
Milk is up 40 cents a quarter in central/rural Oregon this week. No cucumbers available in the stores at all, for several weeks now. Canned peaches have exactly doubled in price.
Wait till the SHTF. This will snowball until it gets the effect our global leaders desire. Everyone and everything under government control. Our borders are being overrun and our government does absolutely nothing. Inflation getting ready to run rampant and our government does nothing. Actually they do something. They make it worsen. And the big covid smokescreen is their big key to demolish our once great nation. They are all in and not about to let up. We’ve been bamboozled so long and just let them get away with it . Everyone thought we had a nation of laws and that the government would do their job and justice would prevail. NOT in this country. They are all complicit and act with impunity.
When the # comes out for the SS increase( if I am not mistaken it follows the CPI In Oct. I think) So all SS checks will be raised by 5 or 6 % . They will have to do new guesses on when the SS fund will be depleted.
Heard mention on Patriot Radio today that military pensions are to increase the same 5% to 6% in 2022. This massively generous outlay by Our Betters will, they believe, keep us peasants quiet.
Even though grain prices are comparatively high at the farm level today very few farmers got any of it after the 2020 harvest. No farmer had the slightest inkling that Biden was going to be installed and with the “Trade War” all the experts predicted lower prices. Their was no reason for any farmer to hold on to their 2020 crops. Biden opened the door to grain starved China 30 days after harvest and the big boys – ADM, Cargill etc. bought low and sold high.
It was one of the biggest rip offs in history and it had nothing to do with marketing at farm level. Immediately the state controlled farm media gleefully shouted “Farm prices return to normal following an ill advised trade War” The steep runup was not normal by the way and few farmers got any of it.
Like my cousin said “Trump won the trade war, Biden surrendered”
We know some people who threw in the farming towel and now just grow vegetables and
sell them to the public during the summer/fall months. Business is booming. They are
also canning fruits and vegetables to sell this fall. I load up every time I am in the area.
Ditto for oil and natgas trades.
I don’t suppose the Fed could step in and… ha ha, no, never mind. But they could if they wanted. It’d be fun to watch.
Raggedy Ann says, nothing to see here. What irks me the most is that very FEW “journalists” call her out. When the SHTF, every one of these twerps must pay. They are complicit in aiding the enemy of the United States.
Lots of Covid-inspired drive up pantries in Northern California. = increased Demand.
Plus 2 Million a year added illegal immigrants.
Modestly increased Demand from increased unemployment checks.
Three stimulus checks?
Fuel prices way up. Jimmy Carteresque.
But but but *resident Biden announced from his podium in the Weed Garden that the “rate of inflation” is near historic lows. Who ya gonna believe: An acknowledged expert like Joebama, or your lyin’ wallet?
Lying Depleted Wallet
Noticed that some food items prices are increasing today, and we shop majority sales. Got a good price on NY strips which went directly into our packed freezer. I see bidet was groveling to the OPEC nations to increase the oil spigot to the US. Too bad the dipstick had to kill our own dependency. Are the American people even taking notice?
I also heard that bidet stated to expect another “dark winter” without specifics. Is he going to follow the BoJo route?
Obama’s people (including his dummy puppet) have undone PDJT’s work on making the U.S. energy independent … cutting drilling leases, killing pipelines in the U.S., etc. … and now these boobs are begging Russia & OPEC to increase output to help lower gas prices … the gas prices they themselves have caused to rise. And the media will never call them out for making the U.S. so weak and dependent on foreign supplies.
On top of all that, they’re causing prices to rise at mind-numbing rates. (Can anyone say, “hyperinflation?”)
They stole the election and now they’re rushing to steal the country … and with the majority of Democrat voters embracing socialism, they’re getting ready for the USSA.
And for everyone looking for the government to take care of them, remember this timeless truth, “The power to do things for you is the power to do things to you.
.
.
Of course the GOP response is to help the commies pass a 1.2 trillion dollar “infrastructure bill ” after screwing Trump and us out of his plan. Wish I had covid and could cough in their faces.?
Bidenflation
I hope it doesn’t turn into hyperinflation. I lived through one in the 90’s.
People would get their paycheck and rush to the grocery store and buy all they could because the next day their paycheck wouldn’t be worth as much.
Price increases happened daily.
Debt good, savings bad. Money loses value quickly and can become worthless.
For those of us not rich, stock up on non-perishables. Batteries, light bulbs, household supplies, seeds, gardening supplies etc.
If inflation gets much worse, trading may be a great way to get things you need.
what me worry? – President Jospeh P. Newman
The market watchers keep and eye on the “core” PPI. The core rate is the final demand less the volatile food and energy sectors. The expectation was a rise of 0.60, but it was up 1.1, which was nearly double the expectations. The key now going forward is how long is this sustainable?
All I know is that when I last bought feed, horse feed (14% store brand pellets, 50lb) went from 17.50 a bag to 21.68. My chicken feed went from 16.78 to 17.56. The scratch grains are all over the place. Alfalfa pellets are skyrocketing–over 23 a bag and going up every week. One thing I do know, my salary hasn’t increased at all. Not a penny. And that’s not even getting into gas and food etc.
Confederate general Edward Porter Alexander wrote that before the Civil War, he bought a horse for $50. Near the end of the Civil War, he bought a horse for $5,000, and that is after several devaluations of the Confederate dollar. How did that happen? The Confederate government just printed the dollars that it needed in order to fund its war.
Last year the US government decided that it needed to create dollars in order to send out stimulus payments (a small portion of the total stimulus), and to fund inside corporate players and community organizations with which to punish the population. We have experienced inflation on that account and expect more.
With the new stimulus, there will be much more inflation. That is inevitable.
Forcing socialism, one dependent at a time.
