School boards are where mini-dictators are grown. Thus the latest exhibit comes from South Salt Lake, Utah and the Granite School District Board of Education meeting.
The board was going to hear proposals of removing the mask mandate for K-12 students. However, they would only allow one parent to speak during “citizen participation time”, a control method for keeping the pesky proles from expressing their opinion of board policy.
After the board allowed a mask advocate from the state to speak, the School board said that’s it, no more discussion. Parents became infuriated, things got ugly [VIDEO Below]. The board ended the meeting and escaped out the back-door of the building.
.
UTAH – […] The crowd rose to its feet in protest and one man shouted: “Remember this day! Remember this day!”
Others chanted: “No more masks. No more masks. No more masks.””
The board moved to adjourn the meeting, left the room through a back door and the building was eventually cleared.
[…] Utah Parents United Facebook page earlier had urged parents to attend their local school board meetings to protest mask policies, noting “if you are sick and tired of what your kids are being put through, do your part and show up. Don’t think things are going to change if you don’t get involved. We need hundreds of parents!” (full msm article)
Control freaks are cowards first.
Hard to believe SLC votes Dem.
Maybe they “won” like Biden did.
We need to keep reminding conservatives this – for a long time we all said they get what they vote for. Well. When they didn’t vote for this at all. We have seen how easily elections are stolen.
It’s like Reno or Denver; a lot of people moving in for the clean mountain air and scenery.
How are rural Utah and Provo voting these days?
Red Utah is hanging on for dear life. They have infiltrated the state, but principally northern Utah & notably SLC. We cannot rest and we cannot take Utah for granted. We, like so much of the rest of the country, are under siege. We have an outstanding AG, Sean Reyes, who has been stepping up & isn’t afraid to do so. The clergy here, despite what you might assume, seem to largely be interested in power so . . .?
The Dumbasspora rages on.
Sean Reyes is amazing, I am sorry I did not vote for him, but will not make that mistake twice. I called his office in support of him when he came under attack for supporting election integrity.
You know how I knew there was a war on for UT besides the Romney situation? There is a new Real Housewives of Salt Lake City show on Bravo which is now owned by Disney. It is pure propaganda and this franchise in particular does all it can to push boundaries.
Politics is downstream of culture and we would all be wise to look for this stealth propaganda in all television programming. Taken note and point it out everywhere you can. Everything on the television and in Hollywood now is social engineering.
All of the Housewives franchises now have SJW characters – multiple BLM proponents including former Fox employee Eboni Williams who just started on RHONY and started her first appearance w a BLM cap and a Central Park 5 T-shirt and was fractured in a commercial referring to “white people” stuff.
RHoDallas has a new Chinese cast member who is pushing the Asian Lives Matter/hate crimes against Asians propaganda. She has a website where she sells face masks w RBG and Fauci face masks.
I could go on. Please start to look for this critically and look at who owns the programming bc that is where the messaging is coming from. The left has infiltrated and ruined professional sports successfully and have now taken programming aimed at middle class suburban women and children. Alinsky strategy.
Provo are “conservative” in the line of they want control too, just on different issues and the university is purple, conservative for higher ed, but not very conservative in terms of freedom. Rural Utah is hard red, redder than red, and freedom loving. I was shocked when I moved here how just under the surface was deep rebellion in the locals. Utah cast the deciding votes to overturn prohibition. The vast majority of the voters were non drinkers, but freedom loving. We are being overrun by out of staters, but where I live, Weber County voted overwhelmingly for Trump and Prop 2 (medical marijuana)
I have long suspected there was strong support for Muslim refugee immigration in Utah because of history and common interest in polygamy among the fundamentalists who still practice it secretly. Big Love in HBO and Sister Wives both promote polygamy band members did so before the current polyamory movement hit the mainstream. Not shading LDS, just something I suspected based on propaganda in popular culture.
Reno is being flooded with illegal aliens and Californians fleeing taxes. UNR has the fastest growing Hispanic student population in the country. Major demographic shifts going on there.
Get involved locally and remember to vote LOCALLY and not just the fed elections.
We put in a school board member that got 250 something of 360 something total votes in a county with 138,000 population in 2018 on an Off Election for the school board.
The city and county clerks and offices are the ones who determine much of the important things about your daily life and such things as what type and whose VOTING MACHINES you use for your elections.
Get Involved. Take back the country for our future generations.
It would be nice for Trump to get the word out that we all have to get involved in local politics. When someone of Trump’s stature says that it goes a hell of a long way.
My god man, don’t wait for trump to tell you what to do!
tis the issue with our entire movement… all of us standing around saying “OMG I sure wish SOMEONE would do something about that.”
Amen. That attitude for the last four or more decades is what has gotten us into this situation. Lord give us strength and wisdom and help us save America.
I spent 4 years waiting for Trump to drain the swamp and all I got for it was Comey, Sessions, Rosenstein, Haspel, McMasters, Mattis, Wray and Barr. I’m not worried though, I was told to trust the plan…
Why do you assume people need to be told?
Some people are as Sheep waiting to be led.
Leaders are important. We forget that sometimes and often overlook leadership opportunities in our tiny corners of the world.
Apply conservative principles.
Demand the folks you vote for do the same.
School boards frequently control more money than the municipality they serve.
It is more than just control of your kids. It is also why they are the first elected positions to get turned by the lefty locusts.
There are several high profile examples of this that conservatives should look to. Suburban Atlanta is a great example in Gwinnett County.
The Justice League they funded the Squad funded the far left wing takeover of the school board starting in 2016, completed by 2020. One of the new members complained he was expected at school board meetings! And now they have let the long-standing superintendent Alvin Wilbanks who led the district to national prominence go. They do not care they are paying out his contract and will have to pay a second one as well – but they don’t care. They are flush with cash that they do not have to raise.
To your point Austin had a local election Saturday and thankfully, far left Austin votes 57-43% to end the “urban camping” laws that have flooded the city with homeless. Local elections are critical.
Something to keep an eye on is there is a video floating around of Austin “homeless” threatening to kill police who try to uphold the law and clean out the homeless encampments that exist on every corner of the city all the way up to the northernmost suburban areas. These “homeless” have machetes, bullet proof vests and gas masks. This is Antifa and they are paid agent provocateurs. Pray for LEO.
Not really, in 2019 the Mayor invited the UN to the Salt Palace for a meeting and help fund them getting here. Reporters tried to attend and an armed UN guard herded them out of the building and told that that it was now UN property and to get out and off the property.
What? Omg. This is outrageous. The crazies who warned about the UN acting here don’t sound so nuts now, do they?
Lots a Big Tech in SLC.
They voted for Mittens, so it’s basically the same thing.
Happened in Arizona too it’s spreading and I love it!
The first revolution started in the taverns and the churches — right now it’s beginning in the schools!! Let us save our children!!!
Why do you think they kept churches and bars closed during the lockdown? In Canada police went into a church service to shut it down. The pastor who yelled at them to get out now faces a warrant for his arrest.
In Ireland the Garda were recording shutting down a mass even though everyone was socially distanced. Then they went and took the children out of the home of the man who recorded them.
Indeed, they do not want people meeting in churches. If it can happen there it can happen here and one could make the argument that it already is.
And shame on the churches here that are going along with this, who think they are safe bc they can still have service online. Guess what? You’ll be targeted for hate speech and censorship eventually for giving Bible based Christian sermons particularly on issues regarding marriage and family. Just watch. They’ve set a trap for the churches so desperate to protect their tax free status and get PPP stimulus loans. They won’t even see it coming.
God in heaven give us wisdom.
woo hoo………………..
A real insurrection against dicKtRaItors
We don’t need no education!
We don’t need no thought control.
No dark sarcasms in the classroom.
Teacher leave them kids alone!
One of the members of Pink Floyd has spoken out repeatedly against the shutdowns.
When I think back on all the crap I learned in high school
It’s a wonder I can think at all
And though my lack of education hasn’t hurt me none
I can read the writing on the wall…
Kadochrome! Paul Simon’s 1973 great Rhymin Simon hit! And it’s true!
Kodachrome
What’s Kodachrome? Better yet. What’s Kodak? :-))))
Felt ancient in a photography class where the younguns called film cameras “analog” and were fascinated I was using that over digital. Slowly, one by one they almost all converted over. Maybe there’s hope yet.
You been tellin’ me you’re a genius
Since you were seventeen
In all the time I’ve known you
I still don’t know what you mean
The weekend at the college
Didn’t turn out like you planned
The things that pass for knowledge
I can’t understand
Are you reeling in the years….? Love Steely Dan!
Steely Dan
Your everlasting masks you can see them fading fast
So you grab your stupid briefcase, cause you know you can not last
but you wouldn’t even know a republic if you held it in your hand
the things you think are knowledge I can’t understand!
I like it!
Here I sit so patiently
Waiting to find out what price
You have to pay to get out of
Going thru all these things twice.
We don’t need no education!
We don’t need no thought control.
No dark sarcasms in the classroom.
Teacher leave them kids alone!
Stop sending ALL the children to school and find the way to cut off the money.
There is no other reason these dictators stay. Power and money.
FACT… end property tax!
Yes! I pay $6k a year because I purchased house in 2017. I have one child.
All the houses around me are rentals that have been owned forever so the property tax in under $1k. The problem is multiple families live in these rentals.
Me: 1 kid $6k
Rentals: 3 – 8 kids $1k
I taught my daughter to read before kindergarten along with practical, everyday, age appropriate math scenarios. School has been easy.
Classmates. No English spoken at home and parents don’t seem to engage their children at that level.
Her school receives special funding for maintaining a primarily Hispanic first generation student population. Same with local Community College.
They’ll do anything for extra funding. SMH
Watch out and be prepared to protect your daughter. The Democommunists are squashing the best students, the “gifted” students. It was too much work to bring up the bottom, so they squash the top to make it look like they are doing something. They don’t even try to pretend anymore in the age of Biden, now it’s outright communism, in the guise of “equity”, it’s “unfair” for some to be achievers, we have to ensure equal outcomes.
Your child needs peers and opportunity to expand their curiosity and love for learning., otherwise, there can be tragic results. Our family has years of experience advocating for our child, an early self taught reader who graduated tech college, as top student and graduation speaker, at 16 and earned an BS/MBA at 19.
Wish more mamas would band together and home school instead of sending their kiddies off to commie school.
It’s not just moms who homeschool. Not all husbands/fathers support homeschooling and without their support many moms have no choice but to send their children to school.
During our homeschooling years we knew several homeschooling families whose children went back to school when the fathers no longer supported homeschooling. We also knew two single moms who homeschooled; I am still in awe of them and have no idea how they were able to support themselves and homeschool.
This single parent would love to know how they did it too!
There are lots of resorces for single parents to homeschool, even several fb groups. https://m.facebook.com/groups/118734268818605?group_view_referrer=search
“google” for support for single parents homeschooling.
You got this!
Homeschooling is a choice.
Vouchers should be THE other choice. Throw some competition in the overpaid public school systems & you may see positive results. If not, shop around.
Most people my age started first grade at 5, 5&1/2. We were expected to read & write (cursive.). There were no “Pupil Free Days” for teachers. We were taught, had expectations from home & school to meet.
Having worked with today’s high school grads, many are ignorant of history, grammar, literature, geography. I pity them. We get one life that we know of, & it will be maximized by what is put into it.
Maybe a deal could be worked out with retired teachers. They teach the kiddos in exchange for work. It used to be called barter. I teach your kids English and you mow my yard. I teach your kids math and you clean my house (math is usually the sticking point for parents so it warrants a better barter!)!! I teach your kids science and you cook my lunch and dinner.
See how it works? Has potential for groups of kids too!
You teach my kids,
and I buy you several packs of Mike Lindell’s marvelous 100% cotton sheets
Now on my third order. Best sheets i have ever enjoyed
Agree Judith. They could form a coalition taking turns teaching.
NO schools should have gone back into PARTIAL session. Nor should any social distancing be practiced. Nor should ANY student EVER wear a mask in school.
Schools should be reopened as NORMAL schools … or don’t open them at all. This half-assed business is worse than STUPID … it’s harmful
School choice/vouchers would end this quickly
Money???
Repeal the 16th Amendment or remove it as illegal and not allowed by the US Constitution.
Ban the teachers’ unions. The worst half will leave and I hope the door hits them in the rear.
This is what they are doing to our police departments. They are running off the honest cops so only the corrupt ones remain.
Happened at the FIB a long time ago.
I agree. The lockdowns have demonstrated too many teachers are Union pawns & don’t ever want to return to the classroom. Those demanding all things & more tax $$$$$ have made it clear they’re quite content being at home while children lose their childhoods.
They’re already imploding from the 15-25% declines of the past year. You wouldn’t need all kids to stop going. Pull the Top 20% of any school and the place would collapse into anarchy.
Their power is in their budget and in all those FTEs. A high school that drops from 1,200 students to 900 students loses maybe 20-25% of it’s teachers, it loses admin staff, it loses counselors, it loses administrators, it loses $$$.
Yelling a school board meetings feels good, and they’re right to do it. But if they REALLY want to inflict pain, they need to band together and form their own home schools.
I think it would be easy to take over school boards now. Most people are sick of the kids being home, and realize there is no medical or scientific reason for it.
Public schools are a cess pool. They survive mainly for daycare and meals programs.
It’s a babysitting service. Many parents simply have no choice. However, those who can leave the system should do so.
I seem to recall where something like this happened earlier, except the meeting was canceled by the board before it even began. Having essentially abandoned there roll as school board members, I believe the result was the parents voted themselves a new school board right then and there, and immediately proceeded to remove the mask mandate.
Little by little the people are starting to take our country back.
I seem to recall it happening on January 6 also. Except instead of be proud of the moment regular people took back their house, they cowered in fear and disavowed it.
I hope we do not back down this time.
School boards are bowing to the superintendents – THAT’S who to lean on – and you tell him/her to bow or be fired.
School boards attend training and learn that they are prohibited from getting involved in the day-to-day operations of schools and that their role is to support the superintendent.
Been there.
You’re going to have to keep the corrupt sonofabitches up at night yelling and chanting.
Will you local police support your right to protest?
Now we are getting down to the nitty gritty.
Who does your superintendent represent?
Will your local police support your right to object?
Since these people are always sneaking out the backdoor, I suggest the next time there is a rowdy meeting, place a lot of people at the back door. Someone else suggested placing Traitor signs on their front lawns.
Didn’t they use Roberts rules of Procedure to pull that off? Really smart move based on knowing more than the Board members who usually set the rules for meetings.
How long will it take the dee-oh-jay to label those in attendance DT’s? Rhetorical, of course.
To hell with the doj.
a note to the school board: decry it as an armed insurrection by white nationalists, and the parents will hide behind antifa and back down. Power restored.
The names of those uppity maskless faces have been noted. FBI raids to start soon under the guise of “…we got an anonymous tip…”(sarc)
I’m sure the board is following guidelines passed down from the bureaucrats at the CDC to the various teachers unions and state school administrators. Instead of representing the people in their district they are useful idiot tools of the left.
Masks provide little more than a false sense of security. For those like the fraud fauci, it’s more of a control thing. Unfortunately our government listens to this insufferable quack.
Mask are unhealthy. We exhale toxins for a reason. No telling what health issues will surface from wearing these carbon dioxide traps. Lose the Maoist mask.
Why have school when the effects of the VACCINE are unknown?
Why risk the lives of the children?
Yeah, you would think the Climate Change crowd would be screaming at the top of their lungs about the pollution by carbon dioxide caused by wearing a mask. I guess they a) don’t understand the process of respiration or b) subscribe to the philosophy that it’s your CO2 so it can’t be harmful. Either way, ignorance is prevailing!
From personal experience I can attest that the mask mandate harms people. I’ve had two asthma attacks upon physical exertion with a mask on.
The CDC guidelines state I have no leg to stand on when it comes to masks obstructing my breathing, since asthma attacks are “intermittent.” Must all be just a coincidence. /s
It’s a false sense of security only for those who have completed exactly zero research on the efficacy of masks. The best analogies I have seen are 1) the mask stops a virus (any virus) like a chain link fence stops a swarm of mosquitos, 2) the mask stops a virus like a towel stops a burst pipe, 3) the mask stops a virus like the Do Not Call registry stops spam calls, 4) the mask stops a virus like a diaper stops diarrhea runs, and 5) the mask stops a virus like a gun law stops a criminal from using a gun!!
Do down ballot races elect school boards too? How long have they been selecting your children’s school boards? What election systems have they been using in Salt Lake City schools?
AWESOME. Yep get right up in their faces..
Ahhh, Maxine Waters style, right?
And this is how it happens. Praying for a snownball effect. Run these dictators Out!
That sounds like my school district ten years ago, when the highest taxes in the country were allocated to teacher perks instead of students. Come to think of it, NY is the canary in the coal mine when it comes to fake elections and mini dictators running the show.
Coming SOON to a state near you, if you don’t watch out.. ??
Public take-over of skrewel boards and removal/replacement of their members is:
1) deemed Ray Cyst by DOJ in 3… 2… 1…
2) Somehow infringes on minority voting rights
3) The cause of Glow-Bull Warming
4) Transphobic and bigoted
5) All of the above
Remember the Mark Twain quote: “In the first place God made idiots. This was for practice. Then he made school boards.”
Found in the bin… 🙁
Sundance, thanks for posting this.
Good for these parents!
I admire them for advocating for their children. Take back our country!
One more thing… this insanity WILL NOT END until we institute the only real solution — PRIVATIZE ALL EDUCATION. Fire the teachers and administrators and “diversity counselors,” sell the buildings and land to private education companies who have to compete for your dollars in a free market. And repeal all property taxes sent to schools. Q. E. D.
At the very least, return control of education to the local, not Federal, not State, level. Anything to get the DC swamp out of controlling education. When Obamacare passed the goal was this plandemic being able to control the whole country through forcing the vaccines.
I believe they tried this the first time with Ebola. It proved to be a fragile virus. This one isn’t very deadly but the PCR tests with thousands of asymptomatic “spreaders”, false positives in fact, allow all government controlled healthcare to make it appear to be a crisis.
School boards are where property taxes go up up up all the time. Effing commies.
Yes, and where desperate parents move into homes beyond their budgets, hoping their children will not be beaten up and pressured to join gangs for protection
HOME SCHOOL
Parent Cooperatives
lose the bureaucracy
Support scholarships and charity for willing parents with children who want to learn
In our district things are getting really hot. The parents advocating for the kids have just been red pilled twice in 2 weeks, the first was when the school board finally said yes, open 5 days a week, high school only and the teacher’s union said no. So the board rescinded. Then it is election time and they are shocked that it is political and the two unaffiliated candidates are being slammed and excluded.
OMG people! Wake up!
After mounting pressure from parents (and a parent paid billboard to boot), our local school district called a special board meeting Tuesday this week to address the mask mandate.
They voted to end it effective Monday, May 10th. This with only a few weeks left of school.
Keep up the pressure. It works!
Sundance often talks about inflection points.
One of history’s lessons is that child welfare is perhaps the strongest and most universal of all inflection points. Populations will tolerate an incredible amount of abuse and oppression, but when a people being to perceive the next generation’s safety is threatened- whether intentionally or incidentally is irrelevant-that perception becomes a breaking point. When people cannot feed and protect their children, the status quo becomes intolerable.
In other words, don’t f**k with the kids. It’s the fastest and surest way to make sure the apple cart gets turned over. And the covid “mandate” is an apple in the cart, not the cart itself, in case that was unclear…
It is no surprise to me covid-pushback is starting to build around the continued, and increasingly obviously unnecessary, covid diktats around children in general and schools in particular. People rightly do not see any reason why their children need to be subjected to the physical and psychological stunting being imposed by politically-driven covid policies.
THIS is what democracy looks like!
NEXT!!
ALL the parents should just send their children to school without masks.
Since principal and Administrator compensation is usually based on enrollment/attend, just keeping kids home will work.
Now if the school board refuses to stop the child abuse – and that is what this is – masses if parents should send their kids to school sans mask and make the schools suspend them all.
It sounds drastic but the times call for it. We’ve been sheep for too long.
I do wonder, though, if the students, especially the high schoolers, aren’t already so brainwahed that they’d defy their non-woke parents and insist on masking.
I need to disagree with this, and with the post from Ted above. Please do not put the kids in the middle of all this. Too easy for them to become pawns in a battle, and that’s not right. This is a battle between the parents and school administration, be it in the form of a board, a principal, or outside influences from the teacher’s union. Parents, joining together, taking charge of their children’s education, will not only correct this mess it will serve as an example to the kids showing them that their parents do care about their education and will stand up to bullying abuse. I’m affraid parents not participating in their children’s education is what helped to enable that slow, creeping government indoctrination of the young minds that helped get us into this mess.
The children are already in the battle. They are being abused by the “education” establishment, pure and simple.
Striking down the eviction moratorium. DOJ stated they do not even need a reason to suspend residential eviction
In the end, there is only one reason I think Judge Barker’s ruling has a chance of standing: The sheer arrogance exhibited by federal officials at the suggestion that the Constitution limits their power.
Before issuing his opinion, the judge conducted oral argument between the parties. In response to his questions, the Justice Department admitted that COVID-19 was merely the excuse used — the opportunity exploited — by the federal government in dictating what owners may do with their property. The judge asked: What if there were no COVID-19? Could Congress forbid evictions because of some other reason it decided was important? A reason that had nothing whatsoever to do with commerce?
The Justice Department lawyer asserted that merely by invoking the Commerce Clause — Washington’s own talisman — the federal government could suspend residential evictions for any reason. Judge Barker was struck by the government’s proclamation that any reason includes an agency’s subjective view of what “fairness” calls for.
For that alone, the courts — the Supreme Court especially — should rethink the monster they’ve created. They should . . . but they probably won’t.
https://www.nationalreview.com/corner/another-federal-court-invalidates-the-eviction-moratorium/
They need to bring doctors in there with them and have them tell these idiots that masks don’t work. Many doctors aren’t speaking out because if you are a doctor in a blue state, they will threaten to remove your medical license for “spreading lies”.
Not only do they not work, they are extremely harmful to the young.
School districts are afraid of the Teacher’s unions and the lost of DOE funds.
Didn’t they have any tar and feathers handy?
Soon to be seen on the Utah Parents United Facebook page: “Your Account Has Been Suspended.”
This was a version of the Delphi Technique where the left controls the dialog until they ask for input. A preselected parent goes first and then the “time runs out”, so they end the meeting. The next day the local newspaper will print that the parents loved the board’s ideas and fully agreed to them. They do this ALL THE TIME!
Alternatively they “break up into groups” so your objections will be heard by maybe five people instead of the crowd
School board is obviously intimidated by the teachers union. Scarred shitless because the voters will now vote them all out. The Constitutional Republic strikes again for the American family.
I thought ES&S was on the questionable voting machines list? What voting machines were in use for the School Board members?
In his report that was filed in Michigan court, DePerno revealed that the ES&S DS200 voting machines contain a Telit LE910-SV1 Modem Chip installed on its motherboard.

The antichrist reprobates are exposing themselves with each passing day.
School boards shouldn’t have authority to order anything of consequence without the parents consent by vote!
When government becomes tyrannous, “We, the people of the United States” stand up for our natural human and Constitutional rights against tyranny. Now vote them out of office and contact your local political party office to run for those offices. You replace them.
No more masks, no more election/voter fraud, no more support for uni-party selling-out America, no more government tyranny, no more!
Hope an election for school board is upcoming. These people are indeed little dictators.
Understand, Democrats are calling this like Jan. 6th an insurrection. Will School boards call for national guard?
Seems like there has been an increase in the Rx rate and efficacy of growacet and phucemol
??? THIS IS HOW YOU DO IT!?
Good for them to fight for their children.
“School boards are where mini-dictators are grown.” Funniest line I have heard all day!
They forget that they work for us!
Well, its spring. Time to do the spring cleaning thing and clean the house. Pillar to post.
Tyrants never get it … and sometimes it ends up with the oppressed exercising their second amendment rights and then the tyrants are aghast at the bloodshed that’s unleashed, blaming the oppressed for not being patriotic and willingly wearing their yokes.
There should always be someone at their escape exit to confront them.
It’s beyond time for parents and and people who love this country to confront these people at every opportunity even at home or shopping and use their communist tactics on them.
Take your child out of the brainwashing facility and they will thank you some day.
porpaganda Lib are nothing But control cowards,
Doctors who believe in their profession must speak truth. Even if they get canceled, we all must speak up.

Parents should be doing this in every county in every state!
They are supported by the science and the experts. And the US Constitution.
Just left a protest here in Buncombe County NC. School Board would not let us in the building! At first they said we could enter one at a time to speak. Then they said we could not enter at all and there would be no public comment. They would not leave the meeting and speak to us outside. I left while negotiations and threats going…some people wanted to force their way in. Several sheriiff deputies blocking the door. Would not let people in to use bathroom. Getting pretty heated. Decent crowd, maybe 40 people. I left…one woman had an hysterical breakdown…I hope to have a video to post probably tomorrow…have no idea what happened.
This is unusual. Speaking as someone who has lived in Utah for 15 years and before that Nevada and California. This is the state that gave us Mitt Romney, Mia Love, and Jon Huntsman Jr. Getting Utahans to act this way is like a violent Amish. We are not pacifist, but we are mellow. We think an extravagant dessert is Jell-O. This is not sanctioned by the Church. After 2 false promises to lift mask restrictions the governor still clings to them.
But we see this and we saw last week where a student tore down a rainbow flag at a school assembly in Cache County. People must be at their wits end to behave this way in Utah without Church sponsorship. Granted Utah is only 1/2 Mormon now.
I agree with what you are saying about most of Utah.
When I lived in So WY I worked quite a bit in UT. I also grew up in a community with a large historical LDS presence.
You said this is not church sanctioned. I was curious what that referred to. Are you LDS?
