Tomorrow, Sunday November 6th, President Trump will be holding a rally in Miami-Dade, Florida, for the slate of republican candidates. All of the main republican candidates, including both Florida senators, who rely on the diverse America-First MAGA movement for election victories will be there…. Except Ron DeSantis.
Now, I get it. I mean, I understand why the people managing Florida Governor Ron DeSantis cannot have their principle appearing at a MAGA rally to receive the endorsement of President Trump, an almost certain 2024 candidate they are planning to challenge a few months later. However, I get it because I see the roadmap they’ve laid in front of him; a roadmap he is following.
But again, it takes a level of intellectual honesty to accept the basic point that if Ron DeSantis was not planning to run for higher office, or at least leave that option available, there is nothing to lose for DeSantis to appear with Trump. The only downside to attending the Miami MAGA rally is if DeSantis would want to challenge President Trump a few months later. Honesty is the cornerstone of accepting things as they are, not as we would wish them to be.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis will not be at the Miami-Dade County Fair and Exposition Center, because the team managing Ron DeSantis national branding campaign don’t want him there.
Since July/Aug {Go Deep} the new management in charge of DeSantis have been positioning him as the Trump alternative, the more acceptable republican candidate, ie. the club candidate
Instead, the republican club and Wall Street financed “Friends of Ron DeSantis” superPAC ($150+ million) have organized another optical event in the much deeper red, Southwest Florida (advertisement left) [LINK HERE].
Notice who is paying for the DeSantis event. Parker Yancey McCollum is an American Americana and country singer-songwriter based in Texas, and if you follow the granular details of the GOPe branding effort, you might notice the DeSantis management team have deployed the strategy of hitching the governor’s wagon to popular music stars [Luke Bryan example].
This specific branding approach is familiar to professional political consultants and those who follow the deep weeds around ‘imaging’ in political campaigns. The objective is to use the popularity of the Hollywood or music star as a draw for the crowd. The managed politician benefits from the optical illusion of a large crowd gathered to support the candidate.
The image and branding approach is useful in avoiding a campaign event at a venue where the crowd doesn’t show up, which looks horrible for the candidate.
While President Donald Trump rallies the MAGA movement in Miami-Dade, specifically going to the formerly deep blue region to drive the proverbial stake through the heart of the left-wing political machine in Florida, Governor Ron DeSantis will hold court within deep red southwest Florida, using Parker McCollum to hopefully offset the optics of DeSantis absence at the MAGA rally.
Rising country music star Parker McCollum was not scheduled to perform in SWFL [Schedule Here] and the DeSantis event is advertised, promoted and financed by the GOPe SuperPac ‘Friends of Ron DeSantis’. The motives and intents being the DeSantis branding and management team remain clear to those with eyes to see.
To emphasize… Governor Ron DeSantis is a good governor, a good manager, well liked and should be well supported by the Florida voting base. There are several large issues for Florida that voters are counting on Governor DeSantis and the Florida legislature to tackle quickly in 2023.
Florida has a major housing crisis combined with a serious issue of unaffordable insurance rates crushing the finances of Florida residents. For many Floridians their homeowner’s insurance costs, now the highest in the nation, are equal to -or higher than- their mortgage payments, and it’s getting worse. Energy costs have skyrocketed and that is making overall inflation that much more impactful.
The costs to live in Florida are putting an even more severe burden on those with a fixed income. All of the working-class residents and retirees in Florida are feeling the issue, and there are things the state can do to help.
Charlie Crist would be an absolute nightmare scenario for Florida, but thankfully his hopes of election victory next week are virtually nil. That is a good thing.
Florida needs Governor DeSantis to focus on Florida.
We are at a very critical juncture in the state and there are some major decisions that need to be made about the future of the state.
The national GOPe club looking to leverage Governor Ron DeSantis as the more acceptable alternative to Donald Trump’s America-First economic platform in 2024, are in a general sense selfish billionaire Wall Street and multinational types [Example].
That said, if in midyear 2023 the professional financial and political class leverage their donations to Ron DeSantis to abandon his post in order to help them nationally combat the MAGA agenda…. DeSantis will not only lose the contest for the republican presidential nomination, but he will also destroy his political career in an instant.
I know the DeSantis national management and branding team read here, so be forewarned. Step out of your cocktail class donor bubble for a few weeks and listen to the people who matter. If you push the principal to repay the $200+ million in donations by attempting to combat the MAGA agenda – you, your candidate, and his tenuously constructed reputation will be destroyed.
Wisdom would dictate that Governor Ron DeSantis work on the critical economic issues for Florida that will have ramifications and impacts for many years forward. Prove himself skilled at large economic problem solving, and then position your principal to receive the support and appreciation of the hometown MAGA base for 2028….
….But step into the national arena for 2024 and DeSantis will be destroyed by angered MAGA like a feather in a hurricane.
Watching…
DeSantis may run in 2024 – if he does, I don’t think he has a snowball’s chance in Hell of winning against Trump in the Primary. Perhaps the thinking is to give DeSantis “name recognition” to run in 2028. I don’t know.
We will all know what the Great Governor Kari Lake is made of very shortly, and I think DeSantis will have a run-for-his-money. DeSantis just might be desperately hoping he is picked by Lake as her Vice President.
Kari has Trump-like charisma. DeSantis has been a good governor but he lacks charisma ..
If she has a fatal flaw, it might be that she’s TOO smokin’ hot.
When I watch her speak, my mind goes to bad places unrelated to policy.
That sounds like a personal problem. Fact is you want to find an attractive woman – she is probably a Republican.
Fact is that if you want to find a female woman,
She is probably a Republican.
Mitch Daniels, former governor of Indiana, was completely non-charismatic, and bean-counter and manager at heart. He was an excellent governor.
But he is not President, is he
Yeah, I recall a whole bunch of GOP trying to talk him into running for POTUS, but IIRC, he was going through some marital challenges and he didn’t want to run.
Isn’t he a university president now?
Wasn’t the story that his wife had had an affair?
Worse, she abandoned him and their kids to go off with some other guy. Turned out not to be a good thing and then he took her back. Serious judgment problem.
Purdue
Leaving his governorship 2 yrs early to get name recognition doesn’t make any sense. What is he going to do for 6 yrs after he loses the primary. I don’t think you can take a leave of absence to run for President, you have to step down.
I don’t think that’s correct. Washington state’s Gov Inslee was in the primaries in 2020, yet he’s still here. Unfortunately.
Maybe with any luck the fairy governor will start his 2024 run for President right now and get out of the state and away from his communist orders
Even if true, it will only show that he is more in it for himself, than for Florida and the country. Things are far to volitile these days for him to think even for a second, that he could govern Florida while running for president. He’d end up ruining his career.
Pretty sure most states allow a loser Pres. candidate to remain as governor. You end up with a MIA governor for over a year and a half.
Name recognition that comes from challenging Trump and earning your forever nickname from him?
Examples: Low Energy Jeb. Lyin’ Ted.
As Scott Adams has been pointing out since 2015, Trump is a persuasion genius; perhaps the greatest persuaded in recorded history.
Once Trump settles on a nicknames
its a linguistic kill shots.
Obviously the Establishment doesn’t care if Ron or anyone else is destroyed. They only care about removing Trump By Any Means Necessary so they can then infiltrate and co opt MAGA like they did the Tea Party.
Hopefully Ron will wake up in time to avoid being destroyed. Hopefully he’ll realize that there’s no place like home if you want to have a wonderful, meaning filled life.
No place like home … and on his own terms.
He is getting killed by being restrained and turned under the invisible hand of “Club” handlers.
I now see him in a whole new way, and I can’t un-see it. It’s over. Too bad.
I agree – I think it’s a clown move for Ron DeSantimonius to run… Trump has already started with the names.
I think the vast sums of money flowing in to Ron’s coffers have gone to his head. “Election experts” have wormed their way into Ron’s orbit and are actively trying to screw up his future in politics.
Thats what I love about Kari Lake – she doesn’t listen to the experts – she goes with her gut feelings.
He never becomes President. I think he’s being duped. I hope he has enough sense to back off and be a MAGA champion, instead of trying to steal the crown.
Florida has a law against running for another office while being in office (not all states do), but the law can be changed. I lived in Florida for 35 years – I remember the Crist Governorship. Crist was being courted by John McCain to run as VP (Crist was a Republican at that time and Governor of Florida). The legislature planned to change the law, if Crist was chosen, thereby allowing Crist to maintain his post. If he lost, he’d still be governor.
While he turns Florida over to wolves. We are screwed
Delusional, from news broadcaster to the oval office, not going to happen, she needs more time. a couple terms as governor of AZ would help in her quest.
She has clarified that issue. She intends to be governor for 8 years, if elected.
Lake would, by 2028, have served one term as governor. If she is a successful governor, which I think she will be, she would be more qualified to run for President than most.
I know she wants to be a two term governor, but if the need is great for the country and Trump wants her to run for President (and most importantly, Trump backs her run), I don’t think she will hesitate to run in 2028.
All this is speculation – time will tell.
I’m not sure you’re understanding Sundance’s main point here. If DeSantis DOES run in the 2024 primaries (against Trump), there will BE no 2028 for him. Any “name recognition” he has at that point will be from having the world record for fastest, most severe collapse of a political career in history. If he plays this wrong, he’ll make Jeb!’s collapse seem mild and gentle by comparison.
We will meme him to death.
Death by a thousand memes…
The real purpose of the GOP establishment in trying to sway any candidate to run against Trump is to DESTROY MAGA as the BASE of the Republican Party.
They feel THEIR PARTY has been co-opted, and yeah, they’re right. WE’ve changed the GOP, for the better and they are in a life and death struggle to DESTROY US, the way they took down the TEA PARTY.
They would be very happy if we all became democrats. They don’t give a damn about being in the OVAL if they can achieve their goals w/out it.
Have you learned nothing from Sundance?
It’s a uniparty.
In addition to feeling as if they are losing their power in choosing a candidate, the GOP-e is getting antsier and antsier about losing their chosen candidates in the Senate and NOW the House.
No way will we have a majority MAGA House or a Maga Senate, but we are going to gain MAGA members in both Houses, hopefully, yet we will be far from the “ruling” faction.
GOP-e are incensed that we have a MTG and will be getting MAGA no open-borders House members, and surely they hate the idea of Masters winning a Senate seat.
I don’t think you understand my post – I was trying to get in to DeSantis head, as to why he would foolishly run against Trump. I think the money, attention, and “political experts” have taken over, and DeSantis will be history.
Lake is not like this – she has stated she goes against the supposed experts.
Anyway, we are in total agreement about the situation.
Trump ’24.. and when he retires… Trump for Florida Gov’nr? 😉
The GOP-e would be perfectly happy IF HE LOST as long as Trump did too? Understand their play?
The Chamber of Commerce and Big Tech and Mitch don’t give a damn about putting GOP in the OVAL UNLESS THAT PERSON IS THEIR PUPPET.
DeSantis is better off waiting until 2028, and Trump is better off choosing a conservative firebrand female senator or congressman to offset a potential Michelle Obama or other “First X minority female president” while also bringing someone who’s NOT a backstabber like Pence as his VP.
Unlike traditional presidential nominees, President Trump doesn’t need a current or former politician on the ticket in order to win. He definitely doesn’t need their help once he’s in DC.
Consequently, he may seek a media savvy, battle tested, MAGA loyal, non politician as his VP.
My current fav VP pick is Steve Cortes, the Chalk Talk guy.
However, Ill be comfy with whoever President Trump chooses. I’ve learned to “Let Trump be Trump”.
Personally, I like MTG.
Everyone who votes and is paying attention knows exactly who Ron DeSantis and Kari Lake are, as well as Mastrianno, Oz, Masters, etc.
So name recognition is kinda out of it. I think, Kari will stay in AZ. Ron seems to be all caught up in his fame…and the soothing words of ryan, etc…and all that funding. Also, remember, Ron was in congress the same time as ryan and kevin mccarthy. He is connected.
I think Ron DeSantis has been a very good governor. I also think he should complete his second term and then focus on 2028. It would be a shame to see two of the most popular men in American politics today damage each other with foolish rivalry, with Gov. DeSantis getting the short end of the rivalry stick.
It is all up to DeSantis.
This appears very tone deaf. If the task ahead is the restoration, recovery, and renewal of America is our goal — and it certainly is, then all who pursue the task should unite.
This does not look like DeSantis is taking the end objective as priority one.
And he has a wife recovering from cancer–
Distractions…?
I agree completely. The Trump Cruz fights were unnecessarily ugly. Our side needs to show how to have a civil primary, come out the other side shaking hands and knowing the best candidate for that election was chosen.
Primaries are never civil.
If they are they’d be staged.
You first.
Cruz was never on ‘our side’.
It will be ugly because the damn party isn’t on ‘our side’.
People need to quit with the lip quivering, fainting couch bull…t.
Realize what Sundance has been trying to teach us and get on with the task of destroying the uniparty.
Desantis kissed the ring.
I would not vote for him in any primary because I can no longer trust him.
What’s wrong with Cruz? What “our side” was he not on?
Cruz was/is not pro-MAGA or touting any agenda that put Main Street as the top priority over the demands from multinational corporations and the WEF. I didn’t realize that myself until I was able to later contrast his policies against Trump’s.
Cruz (and many GOPe / Uniparty Republicans) can argue very effectively against radical leftwing Democrat policies all day long, but we NOW know that’s just half of the argument. They NEVER live up to the arguments and pledges they make in campaign donations letters and emails. Thy talk tough but shrink away from putting their actions where their mouths are.
Kari Lake is the next president after Trump if she performs well.
She doesn’t WANT it.
She will, however demonstrate by her actions just how powerful State Governors REALLY are.
WE don’t WANT her as POTUS, or even more so, as VPOTUS.
While PDJT eviscerates the swamp from the Top down, KL and other MAGA State governments need to persue aggresive Federalism, to tear it apart from the bottom up.
I see a Lake Sinema ticket in 2028
Yaya!… Tenth Amendment revival! DeSantis could unite with her, Mastriano, Zeldin, etc. and go down in history as those heros that restored America.
However, we citizens must be prepared to support them financially (as I have mentioned here often). Elections are obscenely expensive now.
Only the truly brave and honorable will hazard the gauntlet of today’s “clubs”. If they are willing to brave that, we owe them our support.
Lake-Greene in 2028!
Has our Lake Crusader posted HER donor list, yet?
We have yet to see her govern. I love her as a candidate. After she wins comes the hard part.
We don’t do coronations in the US and we are not a parliamentary democracy where the party picks the PM Candidate, so there has to be competition for my vote and yours. Someone has to run against Trump. I want a debate of ideas and so do you. You love Trump and will vote for him. Fine. Let him earn it running against good competition. He had no problem in 2016 so let him do it again. If not DeSantis then someone else. That someone else does NOT have to be an anti-MAGA candidate. It could be someone who ideologically is pretty similar to Trump but can debate him. I want that and so do you. That will sharpen Trump not hurt him when he runs against the Democrat in 2024. Coronations are not good. They are bad.
I don’t want or need a “debate”. I know exactly where President Trumps stands and where he doesn’t stand. He showed us for 4 years. He tells it with every speech he makes. He doesn’t need to earn anything.
No debate, huh….
Fauci walked all over Trump and Trump let him.
Where did Trump stand on the CCP/Fauci Flu that destroyed us.
Trump picked one lousy AG after another
He picked a jackass as VP
That needs debating, Comrade.
Did you forget the Mike PENCE was running the COVID taskforce – we do not know what he was relaying to President Trump – my guess is was not information that was truthful.
So your real motive for a debate by a rival, is to exact public revenge on Trump for his apparent mistakes. Not really what’s needed to save the nation.
I think JG3 is a tool.
Ugh—tell me any leader in the world or any researcher who knew off the bat just what covid-19 was and what its actual effects would be.
Do you really think any leader wouldn’t have to rely on his CDC?
There were many doctors in the Great Barrington Project (now Brownstone), who recognized that COVID was never the deadly emergency that the CDC depicted in its drive to dominate US policy. I started writing against COVID extremism (masks and lockdowns and even radical DNA vaccinations) from the outset in the WSJ and elsewhere. Trump was a great President but he got rolled over on COVID by scheming bureaucrats such as Fauci and Birks who also seduced Pence. It was Trump’s one significant failure. I hope it did not bespeak increasing age.
Trump was not familiar with – and was actually surprised by – the extent of corruption and self-interest that dominated DC politics. He said as much in an on-air tv interview in 2017, and said the same again in a few other interviews, but it was not something he enjoyed discussing so he didn’t touch on that very often. It was obviously uncomfortable for him – probably seemed like an excuse for failure – yet he was frank about it. And looking back at what several of his appointees did to him or said about him after departing – we know it was 100% true.
He was boxed in by corrupt pretenders who advised him on which personnel to select for critical cabinet and agency head positions. Ryan and McConnell literally told him that his first picks would not ever be approved by the Senate. PDJT was forced to choose from lists of “pre-approved” (translation: easily controllable) candidates for Executive positions.
Trump kept a positive face through all of it, publicly promoting each of those who he “selected” (from the GOPe approved list) as being “the best.” While he knew he was being railroaded through all 4 years, he did the best he could to keep a positive spin on everything. He accomplished a great deal and the economy boomed under his guidance while international relations became more stable than they had been for decades.
You you know Mr Galt, you are spewing all the lefts talking points. And before you call anyone comrade, perhaps you should look in the mirror.
We have a bingo !
I didn’t need “debating” in 2020. I really don’t need “debating” now.
We are in a very real war with humanity despising psychopaths. I want to focus on winning this war, comrade.
We all need to temper our views on the Trump vs DeSantis issue with a bit of reality.
1) As JGiii points out, Trump made many bad appointments during his first three years. I believe those were mostly driven by the effective veto McConnell held over the Senate confirmation process but still, Trump acceded to them and they hurt both him and us. I wish I were confident it was all on McConnell but Trump’s primary support for Oz left a bad taste in my mouth. But to be clear, if Trump runs, I will support him wholeheartedly.
2) That said, DeSantis has taken no shots at Trump that I’m aware of. Sadly, that is no longer true of Trump. Or Sundance. DeSantis performance as my governor has been exceptional imnsho and he deserves better. I want him to continue that for another 4 years. Then run in ’28 for national office. In the meantime, unless he openly breaks with him, Trump should give him the respect he is due on his record.
3) There is no assurance that Trump will be on the ballot in ’24. That’s 2 long years away and the uniparty will not give up on the all hands on deck effort to block him by any means whatsoever.
4) Neither should we forget that Trump is 76 now (as am I) and though apparently still in good health, shit happens …and at my age, it happens far too often to discount.
5) Should either 2 or 3 above result in Trump not being on the ballot or fatally compromised, the MAGA movement needs a backstop that can defeat the uniparty candidate that Ryan/McCarthy/ McConnell will try to put in place.
6) As of this moment, the only viable backstop is DeSantis …in my not so humble opinion. Lake, if she wins, needs seasoning. So does Stefanic. I don’t see another possible player that would get my vote. So DeSantis is the man.
7) Sundance looks to be ahead of the game as usual in seeing the uniparty making a play for DeSantis to move against Trump in ’24. Where I differ with SD is that I don’t see DeSantis being stupid enough to buy what they are selling. Play along as long as it suits him, yes …actually challenge Trump, not a chance. Never Trump? …not a chance.
8) For those of you not living in Florida, it may be hard to understand that DeSantis’ strengths are not Trump’s and vice versa. DeSantis owns the Florida legislature, he’s at home in that environment. Trump is not. Ryan and McConnell hurt his first term far more than the dems ever did …or will.
9) So let’s not turn this into a NeverDeSantis blog until and unless he openly earns it. Ryan doesn’t speak for DeSantis and neither does the rumor mill.
Are you a sleeper cell ?
Quite honestly, insinuating that Belle is a communist because she doesn’t agree with you is so….. uniparty.
I myself, don’t care if President Trump debates, or tells them to piss up a rope.
Changes nothing for me.
PDJT won re-election and had his second term stolen from him.
He already earned it.
Uh, no thank you to making PDJT run the gauntlet once again. He has proven himself to us time and again. It is insulting to think that we would subject PDJT to more political theatre.
His second term was stolen from him and us. You betcha, there should be a coronation for him. The RINOs and others need to step aside and give us what we already fought and voted for.
Well said
If he’s already the King of MAGA, is it really a coronation?
Yup – no debate – just another mess.
What’s to debate? Who do you want to run against Trump? I promise you they will get trounced in any primaries. They will need crooked caucuses to get any amount of delegates.
It’s a window of opportunity to seek to injure him and establish narratives for benefit of the Left.
Do you believe the election was stolen from Trump? Do you believe that a good number of those “85 million votes” Biden allegedly got were fraudulent/rigged? I do, as do tens of millions of others, even including many who didn’t support Trump before the election. IF you believe it was stolen, then why on earth does he need to be challenged by anyone in the primaries?! He has ALREADY earned massive respect… not least of which is the fact that he was, WE were, cheated out of his 2nd term! So in normal election years I’d agree with you on the primaries, challenges, debates, etc…. as in 2016 for instance. That this is NOT that!
jello is correct. Trump has fought the most powerful entities and has been attacked mercilessly the entire time. The scrutiny he has faced in addition to the issues with the last election and a two tiered system of justice… He is owed the nomination, because he has earned it. My family is grateful to him for the economic success and homeownership we achieved during his term.
You know Galt I always wondered what your leanings were, I think you just proved it to me and others.
What mess? PDJT was the most successful president in over a generation. All while being hamstrung by the swamp.
Perhaps foam bubble boy will be run again and you can squeal for glee.
Or, just maybe lying Ted will grow a beard, wear flannel, pretend to be a lumberjack while eating pancakes at the local ihop.
That might give you the vapors.
I’ll bet that you’re holding out for jeb ( flaccid exclamation point here ), so that you can ” please clap”.
Which of these tools do you suppose even deserves to be on the same stage ?
Would you honestly believe anything that they said ?
Coronations are better than the illusion of choice we have with a gatekeeper system controlled by oligarch dollars and rigged elections. Remember, the uniparty will align against Trump and frame him if they must to keep him from power. As Sundance always says, there are trillions at stake. I keep laughing at the talk of a “red wave.” Some of the MAGA candidates will be allowed to win, but not enough to make real changes. We’ll be provided another illusion to keep us mollified and passive. Give me Caesar on then banks of the Rubicon with the 13th at his back any day instead of the insufferable Kubuki Theater we have now.
Trump got robbed in 2020 and you want him to fight through another primary against more corporate stooges!?
It might split the vote – we can’t afford to take that chance.
Every little nudge and grudge intended to accumulate to arrest PDJT’s momentum.
Spoilers all.
“I want that and so do you”.
Fact check: False.
A gruelling primary is a drain of time, energy and resources that leaves the eventual winner damaged, people psyop poisoned and the party divided. Which is why the Establishment wants a brutal 2016 primary rather than a 2022 incumbent primary that avoids brutal challenges.
President Trumps ideas are well known. He has a track record as President. He does not need debates to “sharpen” him enough to handle the Democrat challenger.
A 2016 primary? NOPE
A 2020 primary? YEP.
We are in a REAL War. We win and survive or we perish. These are no longer just elections/political entertainment.
Please dont tell me what I want, or need.
President Trump doesn’t need the dog and pony show, he has an army over 100 million strong.
The club needs the show.
Fear not, they will run 27, or 28 against President Trump so you will be able to enjoy the empty platitudes.
On the bright side, there will be 2 Republican events.
I will worry about 2024 after MidTerms, but one thing is certain, DeSantis can’t be trusted to run for POTUS. It’s up to the people in FL to press him not to leave the office before he finishes the term.
Watching…
No doubt GOPe will be trying to coopt MAGA. And we want to avoid a circular firing squad beteen the camps of these two capable leaders. It would be best if they work together to truly put America First. Trump has more charisma. However, what has he done besides hold rallies? These just seem to be about his ego. He also is handicapped by the jab fiasco.
He has endorsed campaigned for and financially supported many America First candidates that are going to win big on Tuesday.
None of that is for his ego.
His PAC just put money into several close races that the GOP was not funding.
It was the height of McConnell arrogance to pull funding from winnable MAGA candidates like Masters, Bolduc, and others, and contemptuously tell P. Trump to fund them from his own PAC money.
I will so relish watching him in agony for eternity in hell.
NO. WAY. OUT.
He still doesn’t want to have to support them but with the polls showing how close they are, he’s had to.
Sundance has always been right about Mitch–he REALLY DOES NOT WANT THE MAJORITY ROLE.
Campaign money is limited and Trump had it. It’s not contemptuous to counsel him to fund candidates.
What has he done besides getting a bunch of America First candidates elected anyway?
Trump did a lot while the swamp of professional politicians stalled and slowed as much as possible. Remember when Congress and Senate refused to allow Trump’s changes to even reach a vote. Like when the “squad” ran to other states to hide and stall the vote coming? The only things he was allowed to do was what they could not stop him from like executive orders. Even facing all that Trump was able to lower energy costs, provide never before seen peace around the world in hotspot locations, created more work-not just jobs like bringing back automotive plants and tech manufacturing among many others. Most of all he showed us solid proof the current DC crowd do not care at all about normal Americans, they lie cheat and steal while telling us they are doing such fine work and that they did all they could. He showed us all how everyone from Mr Clinton to Obama was working on selling out America for money into their own pockets while singing a good song. He proved the old conspiracy theorists right and awoke a majority of people that just couldn’t believe our own gov would do that. The awakening was the greatest thing he ever did. The media lied and spun his every move and proposal as if he was some crazy monster while covering for the ones that are really out to harm us.
I was being sarcastic. Agree with you on all of it!
My point was also that getting record numbers of America First candidates elected while out of office is no small feat.
Seriously, you ask this question? Where have you been. Trump has been doing the heavy-lifting which was needed since Mitch McConnell made it clear he would rather lose than have a MAGA candidate win and kept pulling money out of the MAGA candidate races.
You should have put his first and I would not have wasted my time reading,
“However, what has he done besides hold rallies? These just seem to be about his ego. He also is handicapped by the jab fiasco.”
Just as they successfully did the Tea Party movement.
Not getting the shade and animosity alongside the claim that because he uses patriotic themes he is treading on Trump territory. Trump is good at branding but he does not own the American Patriot brand. If someone is in the trenches and assisting in the battle then they should not be treated as an enemy. That is stupid and short sighted.
Throwing in with the republican never-Trumpers is very stupid and short-sighted for sure.
Looks to me like they are glomming onto him. Like the WEF does. You do good in politics and wake up with an email inducting you into their Young World Leaders BS.
Plenty of GOPers flocking to this thread.
Kind of like throwing bread to a lake full of ducks… Lol
I’ve noticed
Ya’all are like old ladies gossiping over the fence so sure of your gossips. And oh so polite in not coming straight out with what you are implying. That, to my sensibilities is standard GOP behavior.
I certainly ain’t GOP. I have nothing but contempt for McConnell and Ryan et al. But go ahead and cast mpre shade because I am not wrshipping a political idol but simply trying to understand the myopia in supporting allies. Seems to me if ya’all continue to throw shade at RDS then he will gravitate towards those speaking kindly of him as is human nature and political bedfellows. I recall photos of Trump and DeSantis at Mar-A-Lago admiring each other. Guess that don’t count with political one trick pony ideologues.
Who is worshiping idols? Nobody here. That you imply that shows you to be a RINO.
I believe the pictures you saw were of one person sucking up to the other because he had got him over the finish line over a gay meth addict.
You GOPers are pathetic.
Voting for TPP is treason.
Allowing distribution of the mRNA vaccine is a crime against humanity. If ya wanna play gotcha. I am still awaiting the disavowal and behind the scenes expose from Trump. DeSantis was on board with the clot shot too. All that will play out in the courts or God’s hand..either way the decision there are above my paygrade. What I see is a real enemy at work and we need all the allies we can muster to defeat them. Then we can move on to prosecutions for war crimes in regards to the bioweapons shots. And screw the neocons and eGOP and ignore whomever thy try to co-opt. Co-opt them yourselves. Strategy folks. This ain’t tiddlywinks and your ideological adherence to one man can be the biggest chink in your armor.
Took you long enough to get back to this, and it still proves nothing.
“Allowing distribution of the mRNA vaccine is a crime against humanity”
They were all lied to about the not-really-vax. We only know what we know now because Naomi Wolfe and a few others managed to fight Pfizer to release the records they were trying to get a judge say they didn’t have to release for 75 years. Once released doctors and lawyers started pouring over them — and the information has been horrible. Remember the didn’t release the jab was available until after the 2020 election – they feared Trump would get the credit for it. I imagine Fauci and Birx knew how bad it was, but do we know if any of the data made it to Pence, much less Trump??? Remember at the start of Covid they were impeaching Trump – Val Demings, running against Rubio was one of the main players, then Trump was campaigning for re-election. A LOT was going on.
Another thing all the complainers about PDJT forget – Mitch McConnell held up most of the confirmations, leaving Trump to govern with temps in major positions.
We are in a real war with humanity despising psychopaths.
The NWO planned to use the covid hysteria theyd created to keep people locked down for 10 YEARS before rolling out their vaccines/passports surveillance state.
President Trumps logistics miracle, Operation Warp Speed, ended the NWOs justification for lock downs in 10 MONTHS.
This gave humanity a fighting chance to wake up, savvy up and resist before resistance was futile.
These are great points!
De Santis was better than Trump on COVID and defied the masks and jabs despots. The world is complicated, folks, and in the new feminized electorate (and imperial healthcare socialism is part of our effeminate politics, sorry but that’s the case), you have to reach beyond men.
Stop lying I live in Florida,
The best reply to SD’s hatred of RDS — Thanks.
SD —- crickets????…………….
Grow up!
The problem for the Governor is, not only does the GOPe want to take the party back though him, they want to be seen doing it. Hence these swampy Jeb and Ryan endorsements. If they were interested in just taking it back, they would keep their support on the down low. That would be the smart move. But they want to claim public ownership and that takes the MAGA bloom off the Governor for sure. They still believe the base gives a damn about what the Jebs and Ryan’s think and have only to be told their wishes. They’ve leaned nothing since the tea party really, much less 2016.
Yep. They actually think we’ll go back to them once they convince us to dump PDJT.
Never happening. MAGA is the party now. They need to get in step with their voters or they won’t have any.
Indeed.
Voice of reason Mom
The GOPe battle cry is “STOP TRUMP” not “VICTORY 2024”.
The GOPe would rather Biden stay in the White House in 2024, than see Donald Trump take it back.
To that end, the GOPe will gladly sacrifice de Santis to stop Donald Trump. He just has to hang in the Primary long enough to take Florida away from Trump.
It’s best for DeSantis to run for President. That will destroy his chances.
We need to know who the snakes are.
Who the fakes are.
That will make it OBVIOUS that he is an ESTABLISHMENT republican, supported by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and globalist mega corporations.
No more establishment candidates!
Absolutely the worst strategic analysis so far. Your ideologies are killing your allies. DeSantis is yours unless you abandon him to the GOPe who are doing their best to glom onto him. And this crap commentary I am replying to only assists them.
And what happens to FL then, which is a critical state to the election of PTrump or any repub candidate? Where does FL land in all this supposed fighting between the two men? In the Democrat camp then? Great outcome /s and totally unnecessary especially if this is being made up and they are not really opponents.
Are they opponents or are they being portrayed as opponents to push an agenda? A divisive one at that. Someone needs to answer that and quickly.
de Santis’ no show indeed speaks volumes.
It is the same signal of loyalty that Pence and the GOPe sent out after Trump’s inauguration. Pence attended the Superbowl with Abbott& Bush instead of his President’s huge Superbowl event at Mar-a-Logo.
I used to support and defend these elitist crapweasels. God forgive my blindness. MAGA forever.
Amen.
I never did. These crap weasels are glomming onto DeSantis like the WEF on a newly minted political star. They did not ask for the endorsement. It arrived without their bidding in a blatant attempt to co-opt them..
DeSantis has a pedigree and skill set lacking in the circle around Trump. I’d like to see him stick around for the next 4 years as governor, but if he would do it, there’s a big, big job where Trump could really use an ultra tough and competent person in his next go around
The GOPe pedigree?
Like Pence?
Please explain why pedigree matters.
And what pedigree are you referring to?
You mean Harvard and Yale? What BUSINESS experience does he have???? THAT brings with it a skill set none of the professional politicians we’ve had run this country have not understood and this is how we were sold out to China – no one knew how to NEGOTIATE!!! Trump brought with him a skill set none of the DeSantis cheerleaders on this thread seem to understand. Trump did great things for America – could have done even more if not for Hillary and Russia, Russia and turncoat Pence as his VP – who has no skills that I can discern.
“DeSantis has a pedigree and skill set lacking in the circle around Trump”
Along with the lack of loyalty that surrounded Trump.
A few months back the author of this blog lambasted DeSantis for not going to a Zeldin fundraiser; and questioned Desantis motives for not going.
Wasn’t just last week that Deantis went to a Zeldin rally? Yup.
I guess this author must have shamed him into going. Right?
Rally =/= fundraiser.
DeSantis skipped fundraiser because big corporate donor told him to.
Correction- big donor, not big corporate donor.
Yep exactly
Sundance did not lambast DeSantis for not going to a Zeldin fundraiser
Sundance simply posted a few facts for our consideration.
_On his way to the Zeldin fundraiser, de Santis was scheduled to meet with a donor who had donated half a million dollars to Hochul.
_De Santis team blamed the “reschedule” on an emergency.
_The emergency was a funeral that de Santis’ team knew about well in advance.
https://theconservativetreehouse.com/blog/2022/08/30/desantis-pulls-out-of-lee-zeldin-fundraiser-after-meeting-with-billionaire-donor-who-gave-more-than-400000-to-kathy-hochul/
DeSantis went to a Zeldin rally after Zeldin polls higher than Hochul. When the support was needed, Nada. When Zeldin pulls ahead with MAGA help, DeSantis shows up. I am not sure what that is called, but it is not a nice word.
Leading from behind. Or jumping in front of the parade.
Well it now looks like Zeldin has a chance. It didn’t seem so before , plus a donor nixed it.
It did not escape me that he waited until all of a sudden Zeldin was in the lead in the polls and THEN he went there to campaign with him.
He’s stealing MAGA Mojo, not bestowing it.
He didn’t go because he went to see another backer who has ties to hochul. Who reminded Ronnie of that little tidbit. See Money talks What a nice web we weave. This is what happens when you are bought. He did end up going to a later one but Ronnie has to be careful what he says
I thought “Top Gov” was the height of narcissism until I saw “God made a Fighter” . How self important can you get?
That Top gov as was lame.
Top Goof.
Still emulating the great Paul Harvey.
De Santis says he isn’t running in 2024 and I believe him. Florida is turning out to be the last great Red stronghold and if De Santis leaves, it’ll be gone within 2 years. Governor De Santis is right where he belongs.
“De Santis says he isn’t running in 2024″…. Where?
Get a grip SD, and stop the GOP division you are promoting!!! What the hell do you hate about RDS???
He is no McCain or Romney. You are dividing the GOP!!!!
He’s worse than them. Trump got him elected and laid the groundwork for a Florida GOP revival that DeSantis has amplified. Without PDJT, Florida would be a blue state.
He was the heir apparent to the MAGA throne, but he decided to get in bed with the never-trumpet swamp rats.
He chose them over MAGA.
You forgot Grow up!!!!!
(TM) 😉
Wrong – DeSantis is dividing the GOP
In all fairness, I too heard him say that a long time ago in a presser or public comments he was giving. He was answering questions and someone asked about him running in 2024. This was during peak Covid I believe.
He could have changed his mind by now and if he is being bought out by the GOPe and he’s stupid enough to go along with it.
Rons answer was that he had “no plans to run”.
That’s lawyer/politician speak. Plans change and/or other people are in charge of the “plans to run”.
It does NOT mean “I will not run. I’m this states governor and serve them. Period”.
Contrast Rons answer to Karis. Lawyer/politician speak versus real person speak.
When did he say this before or after he was paid for
I will be voting Trump not matter what.
You’re getting more popular, Sundance. More GOPe than I’ve ever seen flocking to these pages. People I’ve never seen commenting now turning up, trying to tell us PDJT’s flaws and how he pales in comparison to DeSantis.
You people are not good at this.
When a man shows you that he’s not who you think he is, pay attention.
I think the mistake here is thinking that Trump and DeSantis is in some type of competition… they are not.
They’re both after the same goals, which is getting you to believe that you have a choice in political parties and elections matter.
As long as you believe that, the government can do whatever it wants.
2016 showed that elections do matter.
RDS is not close to being Romney/Ryan — so stop the hatred Sundance,
This isn’t your blue check blog…
Why create this type of animosity and false accusatory insults? It has turned people off the left. It will do the same to the broad center which you lose at MAGA’s peril.
Why are you trashing Sundance for what RDS is doing?
He is asking why SD is fomenting hatred. This “trashing”sounds like charges of anti-semitism. If somebody is above criticism I am going to ask why do they get a break.
Get off his lawn Dexy! How about some facts why you believe that statement you made… We’ll wait…
No hatred, no invective, just an astute observer of reality. Something that’s in short supply these days. We all make our own decisions.
Oh Ronnie please dont be tarnished you are one of us. You did you so much. You are so pefect and maga Gmab. Sorry Ronnie is owned
I see the most important thing is, many folks no longer know the Difference between a serious Moral Failing, a Lack of Virtue, a Character Flaw —– and plain Human mistakes, momentary lapses in judgement or lack of discretion, a lack of perception and of Discernment, a failure for some things to properly Register on their consciousness, or to comprehend the many unconsidered ramifications on their consciences that might proceed in a here-to-fore unforeseen flow of consequences, and they make a sudden, and maybe thoughtless, too spontaneous, didn’t think it through, too inexperienced to realize… just an mistake, that could still have bad or even tragic consequences but not from Lack of Character, maybe NOT even Bad Judgement. Like taking a wrong turnoff and ending up in the middle of a 50 car pile-up not your fault, but a momentary whim to take a side road to see the Spectacular scenery.
So today, Compared to 75 yrs ago, More people are QUICK to deem a bad incident, “Just an Accident” – Meaningless and of no ill-intentions. And by blowing off too many bad consequences as something unavoidable and Not deliberate on anyone’s part, they soon lose the Moral Conscience necessary to distinguish between someone who was simply a creature such as The Jinxed Character from Little Abner’s Cartoon strip, Joe Btfsplk, (Last Name pronounced as the sound of a raspberry) who was himself Harmless and of NO ILL-INTENTIONS – but lived under a perpetual storm cloud which followed him everywhere, indoor or out — and someone with a truly malicious, narcissistic streak was “accidentally” “always” causing something terrible to happen all around themselves, to others.
They are just MORALLY stuck at “Awww. They didn’t really mean any harm! Not Really! They didn’t know that if they chopped someone head off, they would really Die! they’ve just watched too many Movies and don’t understand! Now be a Good Girl and go run and play and quit thinking someone else is always “just evil”. It was Just an accident. There now! Don’t you feel better, now!
(Spring Byington’s big wide innocent blue eyes with that beautiful sweet smile…)
“Don’t you think so, dear?”
SD and the ALL OR NOTHING WE LOVE TRUMP (and I strongly do) folks here are just stupid.
The GOP has been historically weak, and was weak under DJT (2016-2018 total control), yet better than the dems.
So when I read crap here from SD attacking DeSantis, it pisses me off like what THE have we learned as
Conservatives??
Come together Republicans and support each other, and STOP ACTING LIKE LIBERALS!!!!
SD and Bonchie are both guilty of this.
How about you go yell at RDS for weakening the MAGA coalition.
How about yelling at RDS for jumping into bed with the never/Trumpers.
A common lingering effect after recovery from Battered Conservative Syndrome is hypersensitivity to republican chameleons and zero-tolerance for elephants who compromise with the enemies within, R and D alike.
Don’t confuse that with stupidity.
The truth has no agenda.
LOL…You write with all the intelligence and passion of a 5 yr. old that’s been told he can’t have the toy he wants.
Does this mean he’s going to hold his breath until he gets it? 😆
I sure hope so!
He is going to try
Mainly because we’ve been doing that for too damn many years and you see where we have ended up. We’re done with that. No more GOP lite, it is MAGA all the way from now on and here on out! I have no use myself for the wares that you are selling anymore!
You’re calling Sundance stupid? You don’t know half of what Sundance knows – who do you think you are?
Certainly not a gracious guest.
Go somewhere else then.
What are you going to when Ronnie leaves Florida to a never trumper medical establishment janet Nunez so we can be punished down here still worship him
At the rally just now PDJT referred to RDS as, ‘Ron De Sanctimonious’ – !!!
Gov Ron, that is a small teeny tiny taste of what’s in store for you if you’re so stupid as to attempt to take on The Donald.
Enjoy Tallahassee!
Didn’t DeSantis’ people already say he is not going to run for Pres. in 2024?
Yes
Is there a link to that which you can share?
Is there a link where DeSantis states he is going to run?
Right up there. In the clouds next to the one that says Trump’s is going to run. Squint hard and turn your head. You’ll see it.
You bet.
I’ll save my energies for the real battles. Not the daily skirmishes.
Well that is not what is happening behind the scenes – Richard Barris – The People’s Pundit blew that lid way open tonight.. what most of us have been seeing is nothing compared to what seems to have been going on behind Trumps back………
https://threadreaderapp.com/thread/1589074388133240834.html?fbclid=IwAR3W0ZfmrwD2Q8_9yU7yW-D46-p45iQZd580StW_HcsvCc60x81E44meQmA
A while back before he was owned when he was still a trump wanna be, now Ronnie has been promoted to extra special maga where he can do no wrong
You all MUST be ideologically pure, so this site must dump Kari Lake. Kari INVITED DeSantis to campaign for her AND HE DID.
OOHHHH, Kari took help from the GOPe. Kari is associating with a Trump nemesis! Kari is DISLOYAL!! Bad, bad Kari!
She’s tainted. I’d never vote for her for Pres.
You must realize that your oversimplification that way is just ridiculous.
And the all caps seems a little desperate.
Okay- maybe I missed the sarcasm, which would make more sense.
The GOPe – are you referring to Graham? If so, Hannity invited him to his so-called Arizona townhall – which was not a townhall at all , just some roped-in watchers – not a single audience question [unlike the excellent townhall last night on Newsmax with Blake Masters.
It’s a shame that you don’t remember that kari lake just said, at one of the last rallies that people are telling her to distance from President Trump and she said she told these people to pound sand she would never do that Well, that happened right after DeSantis was out there campaigning so weather he brought the message with him or not The man is going along with the Establishment and he has been the one who brought about the divide Not President Trump .. The name suits him because he has become someone who is totally in love with himself
What he did when he left town when the FBI raided the President Home is unforgivable and sorry, but in my book when the chips are down this man will run out on the American people .
ID the scumbags who are pushing DeSantis in this direction. Get their names front and center, the company names front and center, so they can be identified and ridiculed. And boycotted.
And ultimately…arrested.
HAve you missed the constant Ed Rollins ads for the last few months saying “we need Ron Desantis to run in 2024 – call this number to voice your support” – which is, of course, a ruse to get names of potential voters so they can start spamming them with DeSantis for President ads.
I get the critique but, DeSantis is leading the state like any true conservative would want, so far. He’s even been able to drag along the Purple legislature. I want to see Trump back in office for many reasons but most of all, for the “In your face” we can give the dems. I would also like to see DeSantis make Florida redder, to further insulate it from dems and to prepare a successor- something that I think we fail to do in the party. I know there are lots of people who will want the job when DeSantis is done, but whoever it is needs strong conservative principles and the ability to get them instituted. We seem to trip up our own agenda after a cycle or two because we end up with a rino and a slick marketing campaign.
He’s done well the last two years – he had a slow start – BTW the Governor who led the way on Covid was actually the governor of Georgia – not De Santis – who copied Kemp.
Actually it was Noem.
No actually kristi noem is the star governor. The media just has elevated everything Ron does to hero status Kind of like with Obama
Get a grip SD, and stop the GOP division you are promoting!!! What the hell do you hate about RDS???
He is no McCain or Romney. You are dividing the GOP!!!!
Are you missing the point that there are many many people that are no longer considering themselves GOP… To me myself, the GOP is dead to me. I am MAGA! I speak for no one else here on this site, only myself! But that is the branch on this Treehouse where my butt sits! 😎
How do you know. He could be worse, for all we know.
The Mar-a-lago raid stuff and the backstabbing despite owing his election as governor to PDJT is quite the betrayal.
And he is #1 on the Paul Ryan Best Presidential candidate list, which means something.
He threw in with the swampers instead of proudly carrying the MAGA torch, which he could have inherited if he wanted.
He became one of them by choice. Those guys were already part of the machine.
He’s not dividing the GOP. He is dividing the Uniparty.
Poor little baby. You keep crying about Ronnie. Grow up dude. He is not your golden idol you think he is. You just repeat yourself. Sorry little boy Ronnie is a stooge
DeSantistans melting down now –
DeSantis should laugh about his new nickname and own it.
If he is nimble enough, which I don’t know.
Or he could come up with a nickname for Trump of his own and unveil it at his “rally.”
Have fun with it.
John Hinderaker(powerlineblog.com) who is a good guy, was ragging on Trump again and I had to resond with this in the comments(Danimal5005):
Disclosure: I did not vote for Trump in the 2016 primary and I immediately knew my mistake.. I listened to the ‘professional republicans’ instead of realizing that said republicans, at the time, were still presiding over two 14 year wars that had no end in sight and had shifted the lowest income taxpayers’ share to the rest of us via the ‘Bush Tax Cuts’.
I could write 10 pages in defense of Trump starting with good solid candidates he endorsed this year that Ronaldus would have approved of, but I won’t. I will leave you with Trump deregulating 10s of thousands of regulations and moving the corporate tax rate from the highest in the world at 40% to 21% which is going to save our manufacturing base in the coming bizarre economic years which means you all.
Here is something you anti-Trumpers really need to look in the mirror at: He appointed two SCOTUS judges who actually were pro-life and overturned Roe. Did Nixon’s, Reagans, HWs, or W’s appointees do this? No. And it wasn’t the Federalist Society who appointed them. Trump did. He stated he would appoint pro 2A and pro life judges. And he did.
Trump supporters did literally nothing to cause violence on J6 and Trump did nothing to incite a riot other than exist. The only people injured on J6 were Ashli Babbitt and Roseanne Boyland who were murdered by Capitol Police. Sorry. We did have a revolution at one time..
Don’t forget Sicknick who got beaten to death!!!!!11!!!
If this is what DeSantis is mistakenly planning, you are right. He is toast politically for years to come. He needs to wake up and fire his management team, get back to concentrating on FL and start supporting PTrump. End of story. He’s good but I thought he was smart too. If he is being led into this scenario and doesn’t realize what is going on, then he deserves what is going to happen if it unfolds like SD says. What a shame that would be.
Sundance, if you have any kind of chance to send this to him, or if you ever get a chance to talk to him personally, tell him to be very careful who he hitches his political wagon to. It’s funny in a way, he knows DC. he was there and he also was a military guy so he knows the hierarchy. He knows the people. He knows the corruption on both sides. Why would he even contemplate hanging with this side of the Republican Party? Maybe he isn’t all that smart after all.
Sundance has noted he knows Desanctimonious agents read here.
desanta-claus cant wait to spend yo money, bra.
watch who desantis drawls on as vp candidate. i’m betting on the ‘common sense’ war hero (AR-15 banning) tulsi (D).
People’s Pundit is on this, too.
https://threadreaderapp.com/thread/1589074388133240834.html
snip from People’s Pundit:
It’s called a shot across the bow and it’s in response to what Trump has been hearing is going on behind his back, which more than a half of dozen donors and scores of sitting congressman have told me is true.
They’ve targeted Ron DeSantis as the stool they believe is their best chance to foil another Trump Presidency and after enough hammering away at him and blowing up his head, there are indications that it is working.
But make no mistake, it is a DC establishment plan and is true.
I’ve received at least a half dozen calls from GOP donors who have told me the contents of their conversations AND sitting members of Congress have confirmed it.
“Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought” Romans 12:3.
This verse always comes to mind when I think of DeSantis.
And his ad where it basically says he was sent from God…
With President Trump WE KNOW he was–
DeSantis thinks he must TELL US that HE was.
Nothing feels right about this.
One thing that must be brought up is Trump’s age. Biden is turning 80 yrs old this month. This milestone undoubtedly means Biden will not seek re-election in 2024 among many other reasons.
It opens up the same scrutiny of Trump’s age, for good or not, and yes I know Trump is a highly energetic old man. Nonetheless upon inauguration in 2025, Trump will be 80 years old.
The question therefore is why would DeSantis not gear up for a potential run in 2024, given Trump’s age? Trump again will be the oldest president ever elected in 2024. It would be prudent of DeSantis to do all the preparatory steps to mount a 2024 run since he’s the most qualified person for the job sans Trump.
I think Trump will run again depending on how the states fall in the 2022 election. I think DeSantis will continue to build his campaign for the presidency throughout 2023. I think if Trump is still viable by the Iowa caucuses, you will see DeSantis run but then drop out of the race ahead of the FL primaries and endorse Trump in the hopes of securing the VP slot. I can see that happening, though it would mean the two men would clash in Iowa and NH.
This would not be unprecedented as Reagan had a similar situation where he was supposed to be the presumptive nominee, only to be challenged by George Bush, who he later added to the ticket to unite the GOP in 1980.
We shall see!
Trump/DeSantis == Trump/Pence, Reagan/Bush and JFK/LBJ.
Trump is too savvy to pick DeSantis. That would be suicidal.
I was wanting to write what Sundance has said here. He’s done a much better job and I was waiting for it. Thank you, Sundance and team.
For emphasis…anyone who goes up against Trump will automatically be perceived as the enemy.
Stay in your lane.
I have been riding this horse for a long time Sundance and I want to tell you I really appreciate the way you are breaking down the build up of Ron DeSantis for everyone to understand. Certainly some will deny what you’re saying but you have produced the receipts. Thank you sir.
The whole world will change after the 2022 elections. Republicans will attack the FBI and DOJ and Garland will indict and arrest Donald Trump, put him on trial in DC. Tough, nasty times ahead, I believe.
DeSantis will be used as the ultimate splitter strategy. This is the GOPe playbook. They are setting up for the Democrat candidate, they are the same team.
By their careful dancing around but never with MAGA, the people advising or controlling him undo all the good reputation he’s gained by being strong against covidmania.
It would be the simplest thing to be with Trump, and even running later challenge as two similar, aligned visions and rely on Ron’s work in FL. But to so obviously recoil from Trump — and still hunger after the same people the Uniparty despises — is stupid and transparently so.
It’s so poorly done, it begs the question of what leverage the uniparty has on him that they could force him into such missteps.
It is clear that DC Insiders/GOP Consultant Class are selling DeSantis as “The Rich Men’s poor Imitation of Trump“. Their handling is all over the place, if you care to see. And pity the fools who only see what they want to see.
Remember their last “Trump Alternative”, the saner and kinder Trump* (i.e., no mean tweets)? Bwahahahaaaaa…….. Egg McMuffin is trailing way behind, and how soon these people (aka DC Insiders/GOP Consultant Class ) abandoned him as fast as they can get away with.
Take heart, Gov. DeSantis, it is nothing personal, these people will treat you badly like they’ve treated every other tools, as soon as they find the next shining toy.
I do not think Ron or Kari should run on a Trump ticket. They are needed more in the states they represent. If they so, then they too are just politico self promoters.
You take the states who elect these strong governors then that governor runs off to the national environment…well, bye. I am tired of the deep state crap.
Like it or not, anyone who has future political ambitions and runs against Trump, would be an unwise person. I believe it was Megyn Kelly who said that if Trump does run in 2024, that will clear the primary field. Desantis would be wise to wait until 2028 if a Trump run scenario takes shape.
Trump already has his name picked out, Ron Desanctimonious 🤣
They will for sure try and manipulate DeSantis into disliking Trump in order to try and divide us. But it is clearly Trump who should run. DeSantis should try and THINK FOR HIMSELF and should support OUR great president who has made all of this possible, who exposed the swamp and showed us all, how he is a fearless warrior. Will DeSantis go the way of Crenshaw, who also started out doing very well with conservaitive. But they obviously got to Crenshaw, just as they did the traitor, Pence.
If DeSantis is in this FOR the American people, then he would support Trump, appear with him and gratefully accept Trump’s endorsement. DeSantis clearly, can do the MOST good by staying right where he is, as the governor of Florida. The country NEEDS him to stay right there! Alas, given what we’ve seen, how conservatives of low morals can be swayed to betray their country for the promise of riches beyond their imagination. What they don’t tell them is they are selling their very souls. MAGA!
Whether it’s Trump or DeSantis, which candidate (if elected) is going to roundup and deport an estimated 30 million illegal brown aliens already here? To this question I have never heard an answer. LINK
Big mistake. Disantis should appear with Trump.
Homeowner’s insurance is a problem everywhere. Ours went up $400 this year. It’s inflation in cost of building materials and replacement costs. FJB.
The goal of the Establishment GOP is to continue with a “controlled opposition” candidate who will serve their Globalist Oligarchy agenda. They need to destroy the MAGA movement if they are to regain control, and to that end they have partnered with the Communist Democrats to destroy a Trump candidacy. DeSantis is being played and he would be committing political suicide if he plays along.
Then there is the fact that Trump did not invite DeSantis to the Florida rally a few days before the election. What does Trump know that we don’t? Also, DeSantis has made some moves that are pretty questionable such as: why is Florida at least in some parts requiring masks? Why did DeSantis praise the Bushes as wonderful beyond words? I’m a conservative but I also know about the numerous crimes of the Bushes. There have been several moves that make me question DeSAntis’ true motives.
