I don’t know much about Glenn Youngkin other than he was endorsed by President Trump. That said, the Virginia governors race has been a bell-weather for the mid-term elections for quite a while.
.
Speaking of Virginia, a recent report shows that gasoline has reached $6.99/gal in the commonwealth. “Drivers were shocked when they got to the pump at a gas station in Virginia. The price on the pump was $6.999 at a Richmond BP station earlier this week.” (LINK)
What is the gasoline price in your neck of the woods?
Posted in Big Government, Deep State, Education, energy, Legislation, media bias, President Trump, Uncategorized
3.09 in Colorado
4.23 California.
That price includes a lot of taxes added at the gas pumps in the Peoples Republic of California.
.61 for gasoline .18 federal tax gas…plus higher markup…last sunday I-5 Central Cal Chevron premium unleaded 4.89gal, now 5.39…
But it will go up another 15 cents when we start ‘our’ ‘summer bland’ in a couple of weeks.
2.99 up from 2.29 2-3 months ago for 87 in upstate ny. It was 2.89 before the hack
no shortages no lines
A few days after it became obvious to me that the steal was going to hold, my wife and I were in the car stopped at a traffic light next to a gas station. I asked the rhetorical question, “How soon do you suppose it’ll be before gas is four bucks a gallon?” But seven bucks? [expletive deleted] It was $2.89 at that same station in the Indianapolis west ‘burbs yesterday.
$3.15 yesterday in northern Westchester, NY. Luckily it seems that there’s still gas but they are going to make us pay.
This is ALL part of the ongoing Coup/ Civil War that is going on.
The Dirty Demo-Commies have figured out that the best way to shut down the resistance is to turn off the power. So that’s what they’ll be doing. The Green New Deal (GND) is already in effect in Blue States like NY. They just shut down the Indian Point nuclear plant that supplies 25% of the juice to the NYC liberals. Can’t wait to see how green they are when they can’t turn on their air conditioners this summer.
Yep, the Democrat National Cartel is trying to bankrupt their mortal enemies, the American middle class.
Only Premium left when I bought the other day in NC — $3.99. Now, there is no gas to be had in the Southern part of NC. Sure hope that changes soon. Lots of tourists are still here (buying lots of gas!!) and then there will be no tourists at all soon, if this continues. I’d pay a lot more if I could get it!
I’m in your area and the closest gas station I’ve found with gas is in North Myrtle Beach. Luckily, my husband and I filled up last week. We’re trying to conserve what we have.
I suppose this is as good a place as any to put in a defense of price “gouging”.
If gas companies had started jacking their prices when the supply disruption was announced, there would still be gas available. Yes, it would cost and arm and a leg, but if you REALLY needed it, it would be there. Insisting on anti-gouging laws encourages panic buying and complete depletion of existing stores.
Radio this morning had the guy from Gas Buddy on. He said the current shortage, which is unlikely to abate quickly even with supplies back online, is actually more a result of panic buying than actual supply shortages. Consumption numbers were up something on the order of 70% over the previous week. Higher prices blunt that sort of panic buying.
It’s 3.99 in WNY.
And, interestingly China is building nuclear power reactors faster than anyone. The Dems forcing these plants closed in the U.S. is funny irony. Why? Because once they are able to nationalize they will then build more because they are the best and largest source of green energy.
Gas here in Vancouver Wa is around $3.29 give or take.
Which is up about 30 cents in the last week I think, so still represents price gouging by the industry since the pipeline closure should have no impact on gas supply or pricing in the West.
Diehard82 does not understand the affect of policies from Washington DC on his State. Soon, the prices will be much higher everywhere, but it will not be due to industry price gouging, which did not exist when supplies of Oil & Gas were adequate. It is due to the irrefuteable laws of supply and demand and a Gubmint that wants to reduce the supply of Oil & Gas. Learn to live with it or get some smarter politicians to run your Gubmint. And don’t expect the Chinese to sell you anything cheap once they have control of the prices you pay.
He lost me at “Biden was legitimately elected President”.
Yes, I turned off the video when he said that. I paid attention when Maria asked him about his Trump endorsement. He did not say, “Great!” or ” I appreciated it.” Is this how President Trump “outs” the uniparty?
I will vote for Youngkin this once in Nov. because he’s better than more Democrap.
But I don’t trust him. I didn’t Trust Snyder either.
Both of them made their bundle in Finance, bad company to originate from.
Lots of Focus on Dog Whistle issues (2ndA etc)
too little talk about Vote Integrity and Destroying Big Tech Censorship, and DEPORTING ALL ILLEGALS.
I suspect both are secret Swampers Mobbed up with the Chamber of Slave Labor.
Didn’t know Younkin threw President Trump and us 74 mil under the bus.
Will never vote for him again. But even he is better than Blue VA.
I am a Virginian for 40 years, not a fan of Youngkin. I do not believe he can win against McAuliffe. The main reason being the absolute stupidity and indoctrination of suburban idiots. Many are transplants from urban areas now overcome by BLM/antifa violence and the liberal northeast.
Youngkin is GOP establishment. Just what the Democrats ordered.
1) Who in your opinion could beat McAuliffe?
2) Are the NOVA areas really voting Dem to the extent we’ve been led to believe? For years they have turned in their results long after the rest of the state’s numbers are in and known. For years they have turned R leads into D victories.
If Youngkin can recruit Sergio de la Pena to support his campaign and work the NoVa immigrant community he might do better than expected.
Sergio is already on board, he was there at initial rally after nomination.
Sergio and Puneet.
this is why they gave it to youngkin, to make sure mcauliffe is in again
Nobody “gave it to Youngkin”. He was NOT my choice, but the fact is he had unlimited resources that he spent VERY effectively.
They did not “give” it to him. He won the vote of republican delegates.
I am also a native Virginian of 40 years. Youngkin ran a great campaign. He did solid groundwork and hence why he won.
Suburban Virginia is pretty much lost and that’s due to a lot of things. Yes, a lot of northerners have moved down and brought their liberal values with them. A lot. I live in a far western Chesterfield neighborhood and am flabbergasted at how many people from up North live here. Additionally, because of the crowded NoVA area, they have moved further south to get more bang for their buck and they can do it easier now that so many people work remotely, even before the pandemic.
McAuliffe was viewed as a popular governor(incorrectly), mainly because he was boxed in due to a Republican supermajority in the House of Delegates keeping him in check. Now that there is a Democrat majority in both chambers, he will go insane. Much more than The Coonman!
It would help if we would stop writing off whole areas as “lost”. I know lots of extremely conservative people in “surburban” Virginia. Demonrats never give up on anywhere. They do not care how “red” it is. They target it and they go for it. The RPV left over 20 seats uncontested in the last state wide elections. Why? We need to stop complaining and start doing.
Welp, here we go again.
Ready, Fire, Aim.
We never learn.
Give me somebody who doesn’t DESERVE to be shot, Bill, and we can talk.
GOP-VA has been stabbing us MAGA Virginians in the Back years before the first Liz (Taylor’s) Husband Borked us.
Quislings SHOULD go to The Wall first every Revolution.
I do not trust Youngkin, I was a Delegate participating in the Primary and the company he worked for gave to the Southern Poverty Law Center, he said he regretted it. He was a co-CEO of a Globalist Company. He did not say anything about the donation to the Equal Justice Initiative or the NAACP Legal Defense Fund. Also, no one mentioned that the company was matching donations to support organizations that are working on social justice and reform of the US criminal Justice system.
I did not vote for him. All we Virginians can do is pray he wins and will do the right thing.
Concur!
Full Disclosure, I didn’t trust Snyder’s Financial background either.
Gas price $3.19 and rising. Thanks Obama/Biden. We need to trust Trump with these endorsements. We cant know every detail about every candidate for office even though I try my best. Lets hope that we continue to put true MAGA people in the GOP.
I’m not so sure about his endorsements. He endorsed one of my state senators. A guy I swear has no political courage at all but easily steps to the other side to help them out. I want the guy primary’ed out of office and replaced with a real conservative. Note I didn’t say republican. So far I don’t see any takers on my wish. And no, I’m not anti Trump, just think at times he is too easily mislead on some of his thinking. I do adhere to his America First agenda, been that way before Trump came on the scene.
PT didn’t endorse Youngkin until AFTER he was nominated. That PT endorses the R general election candidate is no surprise.
Thanks for that clarification.
Regular unleaded in mid-Michigan is around $2.83 as of the morning of May 14.
For an apples to apples comparison, we probably ought to be looking at 87 octane gasoline. In Texas, 87 octane is regular gas on most pumps. I am sitting in Colorado at the moment. Up here, I’m seeing 85 octane labeled as regular gas.
I may be wrong, but I think the lower Octane rating occurs for higher altitudes… ?
From what I’ve read, Youngkin is establishment. I don’t understand Trump’s endorsement.
He wants a Republican to win.
Yup. We cannot afford terry mcawful. And much as I despise Sears, we need to keep the kkk/blackface party out of the Statehouse. They are much, much worse. We know it.
What good is that if he’s establishment ‘RINO’ and votes with the demonrats. We’ve been there, done that. It’s sad that we can’t recruit and get a patriot to run.
The RINOS in the race were Kox and Synder.
Let’s hope this guy in not another Kemp.
It was still at $2.79 in Western NC but the problem is there is no gas. A station will get gas and immediately there are huge crowds and I have not been able to get any gas anywhere. I can do what I want today, but if I can’t get gas today I am grounded. The people here have lost their minds. They panicked over toilet paper, they panicked over China flu and panicked over maskless people. Now they panicked over gas…the panic is causing the shortage. I want to move to Florida. This state sucks. And people are complete idiots.
Your last sentence is, unfortunately, mostly accurate.
No, don’t come to FL. We had lines all the way down the roads Monday/Tuesday and had to pass them in the turn lane to get home. Then there was NO gas because the selfish turds bought it all. Then I had to fill the daily driver with marine gas which is $4 a gallon. Kid filled up my old GMC 2500HD today so we can do some work this weekend and told me Sam’s had gas, but nobody else did. The line was bad, but he got gas for the beast. 2.89 for regular unleaded. $78 to fill up. I haven’t paid that to fill up my old truck since Obozo.
Weak Chin Blackface Northram has been a disaster for VA. Look at everything the Children Of Lucifer touchs and how it turns to shit.Every program, every bit of legislation every foreign policy, every war, every agency created …turns to shit. Oh theyve had plenty of help over the years from thire Boneless Turkey Party Comrades. Time time flush them all down into the decon contonment pond with Super Tropical Bleach.
I was a delegate to the Virginia Republican convention and received tons of flyers, emails and text messages from the candidates and other shadow PACs for weeks prior. Trump only endorsed Youngkin after he won the nomination and not before. My top candidate, Amanda Chase, visited with Trump days before the voting hoping for a preconvention endorsement. She got a fist bump and a grilling from some staff but nothing else. Now I believe they were checking her out in case she got the nod.
I’m a Virginia GOP delegate that did NOT vote for Youngkin, so I’ve got some trust issues to work through.
With that said, if he wants to win in Nov, he needs to stop saying Biden is a “legitimately elected President”.
Most of us don’t believe that for a second, and the evidence is on our side.
At this point, I’m still thinking Youngkin is another RINO.
Well if he is going saying that I am going to have problem trusting him too.
Concur. Full disclosure I never fully Trusted Snyder either. Another Finance guy.
He’s another country club Rebluican. Said earlier that I find it hard to believe PDJT endorsed this guy. SMH.
He’s the Republican nominee….that’s why he got the endorsement.
I do not know if we can trust past voting patters until the vote is secured and safe.
NO MACHINEs, watermark paper ballots only counted by hand with BOTH major parties present counting each ballot. Photo voter ID. and an constant update of the REGISTERED voter rolls. Only LEGAL citizens able to vote, registered voter request with ID for Absentee ballot.
If a state wants tolet the illegal invaders vote then that states votes can not count in the Federal vote, either in the US Reps, Senate and Electorial votes for POTUS.
The vote has to be protected and if one state cheats it disenfranchses (sp?) the votes of the other states and the cheating state must be penlized.
SE Arizona. Regular unleaded (87) was $2.93 yesterday in Cochise County. Up from $1.99 in the good ol’days.
Downstate Illinois: $3.19. The prices immediately rose a dime the day after the pipeline event, even though it does not supply us. Its also worth noting our Dem Governor and statehouse imposed a 25 cent/gallon gas tax increase a couple of years ago – just because you know, whose gonna stop them?
gas hasn’t been affected by this pipeline thing here in michigan….right around 2.89 now.
About the same as it was two weeks ago, when it first went over $3/gallon. In Southern Colorado, we are affected more by the long term consequences of the Gubmint attempting to shut down Oil & Gas Exploration in the USA. There was no affect from the cyber attack on the pipeline back east. But, we will soon see that the East coast politicians will readily line up to blame our industry for high gas prices. This has been a recurring pattern for about 50 years.
No industry in the USA is more controlled by the laws of supply and demand than the Oil & Gas Industry. Which basically means that if you deliberately destroy the supply of a necessary commodity, you will cause extreme demand for the supplies that still exist.
If the USA does not learn anything else from this episode, we have to learn that you don’t destroy a good industry for one that cannot even supply the energy we need, even with the Gubmint doing all of the financing. We are toast if we keep up these so called Green Energy programs. Expect more damages to supplies from your Gubmint financed “clean air” sources of energy.
Have to change the wording in our posts.. the “Gubmint” does not do all the financing… the taxpayers fund it all… (without a choice)
$3.35 for regular in Boise, Idaho. About 10-20 cents/gal cheaper in some places outstate.
I’ll be your way in Aug.
50 year class reunion.
Will be interesting.
Premium gas is $3.69 in PA
From the upper Midwest, IL, I paid $3.49(9) for regular unleaded gas just about an hour ago. Fortunately, even though our vehicle is a van, it does get good mileage. But d**n….. I suspect I may also see higher prices in our grocery store the next time I pop in for a few items, the cascade effect. Yeah, you know it’s coming.
Up about 10% or a bit more in the Spokane, WA. area… (a few days ago)
I’ll be voting for Youngkin, but he said in that interview that Biden was legitimately elected. Bad!
Although Donald Trump endorsed him, I don’t think he’d like that comment.
Again. President Trump endorsed him AFTER he won the convention vote.
I plan on going to his meetings, open houses, whatever and challenge him on it. Let it be known if he wants my vote he is going to have to explain to how the usurper is “legitimately” elected. I have got my list of shibbolets.
Gas prices Hawai’i
Honolulu/Oahu – $3.78
Big Island/Hawai’i – 3.95
Maui – 3.83
Kauai – 4.03
He lost me describing Biden as “legitimently” elected president
Nope.
$2.79/gal for regular at Prima Vista Speedway in
Port St Lucie, FL
We use premium. It was a low of $2.19 at our preferred name-brand dealer before the “election”. It was $3.69 yesterday, up $0.40 since last week. We are in south Texas with oil everywhere, refineries within 95 miles in any direction, and some of them have FULL storage tanks. Prices going up here are “profit taking”…..similar to the pre-holiday price increases.
3.08 in my little town in Ga.
Great interview! As a side note in the video notice the Chemtrails sprayed out like on graph paper. Later they will come back and spray in the perpendicular trails resulting in a checkerboard pattern. Gates answer for global warming and the future of Plastic Meat. Nothing to see here just cloudy!
In The Central Valley of CA, I paid $4.21 for diesel two days ago.
We have no gas in the southern NC coastal region. When a station gets some gas, it’s gone in no time.
Richmond VA. Paid 2.99 for regular at Exxon.
On May 13
$2.89 in the commi govern’d “blue collar” Oakland Co of SE MI.
I have met and spoken with Glenn Youngkin twice. He’s answered every question to my satisfaction, and is also supported by local politicians and conservative voices I hold in high regard. Until last September he was CEO of the Carlyle Group, an international private equity firm he started working for in 1995 and led to its current successful state. He resigned and told the co-founders that as a native Virginian, he could no longer stand aside and watch his beloved home fall prey to the Left.
Today, I had to drive a bit in northern Virginia, and was gratified to see a number of Youngkin for Governor signs displayed. Oh, there were some for “Terry” (because “McAwful” is too harsh to display), but this early in the campaign shows a lot of strength for the businessman-turned-politician. Sound familiar?
Youngkin is NOT Trump. He was essentially pushed out of his co-CEO job by the other co-CEO. The original ultra progressive Carlyle management team retired and set up this co-CEO thing. A huge power struggle ensued and Youngkin lost. The guy who won is Taiwanese controlled by China, and China controls Carlyle. Plenty of business insider-type articles out there describing how it went down.
Youngkin is CFR and IMF / Davos. Trump openly rejected both. Youngkin is Wallstreet. Trump is mainstreet. Youngkin is the Club. Trump rejected the Club.
There’s a whole lot of space between the two.
Agreed.
But Youngkin is also not McAwful, so we have to support the lesser of two evils.
Even if they will both probably wind up down there on that cold level after they die.
Exactly. We simply cannot afford McAwful.
Here in St. Louis County MO the price is $2.789 for regular unleaded. The premium grades are $.20 and $.40 higher, I believe, but that may be wrong since I don’t use it.
Need to ask where it is $6.99. In NoVa (Loudoun co) it is $2.99. In Va Beach area where they had shortages first still not that high.
Richmond – the gas stations gouging were in Richmond.
I posted yesterday and I went out again today and checked. There are 17 gas stations between me and I-95. I have not seen a single one with $6.99 gas. The highest I saw is $3.39.
After having my vote stolen in VA, and no VA politicians giving a crap I’m not sure that I’ll bother voting. VA GOP tend to be total uniparty scumbags that actively work to elect and keep Democrats in power if the person running on the GOP ticket isn’t hand-chosen by them.
I don’t know much about Glenn Youngkin other than he was endorsed by President Trump.
I expect this will be another [the guy at the DoJ before Barr whose name temporarily escapes met]. I live in the People’s Republic of MD, at the moment I drive an hour to work listening to talk radio in the morning. So I get to hear ALL the political ads for the VA candidates. Youngkin ran ZERO ads touting anything Trump related while Pete Snyder (the runner up) practically led by saying he supported Trump. Also the big corporation he worked for was the Carlyle Group. RINO through and through. Think Richard Simmons in a 3-piece suit. That being said, his opponent will be Terry “the bagman” Mcauliffe, so I hope Youngkin wins.
Haven’t checked gas prices recently. Was traveling this past weekend and filled up when we got back on Monday, which was before the spam hit the fan. Still have half a tank left, hoping it gets me through enough of next week that I will be able to find gas when I need to fill up again.
Virgnia is a lost cause. Between Fairfax county, the tidewater, and Richmond, it’s a microcosm of everything wrong with America: leftists, lawyers, state apparatchiks, and minorities who dutifully vote for the plantation. The state’s GOP, I’m absolutely convinced, does not care to win another gubernatorial or senatorial election. Ever.
Three days ago, here in Savannah, GA, I topped off my diesel tank on my F350 and paid $2.88 per gallon. There were short lines at Sams, where I refueled. Regular gas was $2.67 per gallon. I checked out several gas stations and none had lines waiting for gas, and the highest gas price that I found was $2.89 per gallon, about fifteen cents per gallon higher than last week. I have seen no additional prices hikes since then; no lines, no panic. I will not need more fuel for about a month.
Just assure the people of Virginia that RED state freedoms will make their lives better and more prosperous. The sic Democrat Freedom crushing of the peoples Liberty must be restored. Swing that state legislature and it’s like back in America again.
hahahaha $6.99/gal? Really? Maybe in a county that hugs the Washington DC border where ALL the politicians, lobbyists and financial “advisers” live who make over 6-figures who *are not born-and-raised Virginians but LOVE our cheap taxes, food cost, land-ownership cost. Have you seen the stats on how many registered “real estate agents” there now are in Virginia? NONE of them were born here. Fairfax County averages earned salaries of $174,000 a year….crocodile tears. Tell that to the counties of Scott, Lee, & Wise who average $32,000. Price Gouging, though illegal, still happens because corporations are allowed to do it while handing loads of cash to politicians *campaigns*.
Learn to support Citizens United and then we all can benefit in this country again. The days of Eisenhower and good Republican living are officially gone.
History of Republican Governors in Virginia (from most recent):
Robert McDonnell 2010-2014
James Gilmore 1998-2002
George Allen 1994-1998
John N Dalton 1978-1982
Mills Godwin *switched to Republican Party in 2nd term 1966-1970 (ya know to get the black Republican voters who could vote officially…also funny 1968 is when Alcohol Beverage Control was enacted in the state)
Linwood Holton 1970-1974
William Cameron 1882-1886 (Re-adjuster)
Frederick Holliday 1878-1882 (Conservative)
James Kemper 1874-1878 (Conservative)
Gilbert Walker 1869-1874 (Republican)
Henry Wells 1868-1869 (Republican)
John Gregory 1842-1843 (Whig)
John Patton 1841-1841 (Whig)
What do all these men have in common? They ALL supported “For The People, By The People” at the time of their electoral seat. Especially at times of great strife to the American People. Supported Unions. Supported the TRUE working class. Did not support segregation, red-lining, and big corporations …..well until the 2000s, of course.
So…in Virginia…a state that’s had a governor since 1700s….you mean to tell me this state has been Republican?
Time to re-think their model and stop letting the Democrats run things.
