According to Atlanta media former Georgia Senator David Perdue had a phone call with President Trump that did not go well and led to Perdue changing his mind on a run for office after previously filing paperwork to do so. Hopefully this report is accurate, and President Trump is starting to lay the groundwork for MAGA-minded challengers to enter the political world and challenge the establishment republican candidates.
GEORGIA – Former Sen. David Perdue announced Tuesday he will not challenge Sen. Raphael Warnock (D-Ga.) for his seat in the 2022 midterms, reversing course after filing paperwork declaring his candidacy.
In a statement first sent by email to supporters, Perdue (R-Ga.) said that he and his wife, Bonnie, had decided against him re-entering the political arena.
“This is a personal decision, not a political one. I am confident that whoever wins the Republican Primary next year will defeat the Democrat candidate in the General election for this seat and I will do everything I can to make that happen,” the former senator wrote, saying he had come to this decision “after much prayer and reflection.” (read more)
You might remember when David Perdue attempted to speak at a MAGA rally in Georgia and the crowd drowned him immediately with chants of “fight for Trump“. Senator Perdue ran from the stage.

I think there were 7 house seats in Massachusetts were the GOP didn’t even nominate a challenger. The are probably more across the the other states.
The GOPe wasn’t going to let MAGA candidates challenge incumbents, and Trump wasn’t going to go against that because he needed them to hold congress. I think you’ll very soon find that is no longer the case,
There was an excellent Congressional contender in one district – John Paul Moran. He is still working and fighting.
Mass is horrendous. A challanger in the R primary got beat by a jerk (like biden)by dominion machine BS. Now the SoS in Mass wants to increase mail ballots to all citizens. Some states are beyond help.
meh, in 2018 and 2020 most base Republicans were still living under the principle that the Republicans would do what we sent them there to do, that elections matter, and that our votes for Republicans would translate into legislative and court victories.
And the people here have been pointing out for years that the candidates deemed “acceptable” by the establishment GOP would sell us all out in a heartbeat first chance they got. And they did. I’d be willing to bet that the answer to your question is that a great many fantastic MAGA candidates were destroyed before they ever got to the primaries BY the Republican Party.
I don’t think understood the depth and breadth of the contempt that D.C. politicians have for all of us (and at the State level), and that those people would sell us all into tyranny to protect their $$$ from China. How many MAGA candidates were stopped in the primaries because “Save the Senate” was the rallying cry, and not “save the country FROM the Senate”?
You’re complaining about something that the vast majority of Republican voters didn’t think was a necessary component – it was “understood” that Republicans winning would translate into pro-America policies. Yes, people were misled and foolish and naive. We all get that.

The power that is entrenched in these 6 years terms with party loyalty demanded makes it hard to vote them out, not to mention election fraud.
Supposedly Collins really won his senate race. He gave it up without a fight. I liked him but lost a lot of respect for him after that.
Loeffler and Perdue gave up without a fight in Jan, too. Fancy that.

John Fredericks deserves a good part of the credit for re-arranging the the GOPe in Georgia.
Fredericks moved to Atlanta in Nov 2020 iirc, set up his broadcasting there (over WJFN), and has been shredding the Georgia GOPe ever since.
Fredericks has also identified the Deplorables in the Georgia Legislature, and gave them much air time.
Fredericks bought and re-structured WMLB to take on Eric Ericckson head on. Fredericks started up a newspaper, The Georgia Star (thegeorgiastar.com) and took head-on the quisling GOPes in Georgia.
Fredericks did all this with his own money and donations.
Fredericks also hosted the Georgia GOPe top dogs on his radio show the night of the Georgia runoff election, showing everyone listening (including me) that the Georgia GOPe was naught more than a bunch of partying drunks.
That show was embarrassing.
Fredericks has been a GOP insider for years and years, who went over to the Tea Party, and happily became a Deplorable.

John Fredericks and the late Curtis Ellis (Job Creators Network) asked Mr Trump to voice over a commercial for them to “Get Out of China Now” in 2014.

Whatever you think about Bannon, that show is always introducing me to new potential MAGA voices on the ground all through the country, particularly ones in the swing states who have been fighting the fraud since Nov 4.
Until a year ago I lived in a small town in Georgia. I had friends who were the most politically knowledgeable and involved people I’ve ever known. The ran everything at the local level, were always involved in state politics, inside the GOP structure, and they had relationships with like minded people throughout the state.
Im not saying Tennessee doesn’t have people like that, but by golly I can’t find them.
Anyhow, Georgia has good people who could win if the establishment gets booted.

We were stunned @ Doug Collins lack of fight after the steal and the fact that when asked, he only talked about the next election(s), not the 2020. We were among the many that worked in his campaign for him & believed that he was in it to win. Same disappointment with John James in Michigan. What happened? Threats? Blackmail? Don’t want to believe it was $….
Not enough money to continue the fight. It really is that simple – follow the money.
We took Rob Port O Let Portman down in Ohio. DeWine will be next. Get Activated at the state and local level to The Swamp drained before they get to DC.

Winslow, it’s not my party and never has been. I despise both parties equally and have voted mostly republican for many years because they were slightly less evil. My local and state officials are good, but I will not vote for either of my incumbent U.S. senators again.

Collins is great, but I’d rather see him as Governor. GA needs someone who is strong and willing to fight for them as Governor.

Trump needs help in recruiting and vetting new maga candidates from people who are connected to the movement, for sure.
However, I have no doubt he is well aware of who already in DC is NOT part of the team. He knows who betrayed the people and him (at worst)….and who is afraid to fight (at the least). He knows who to reject or go after.
….and I love Vernon Jones. He is an authentic and strong voice….who can attract democrat crossover (or walkaways). Would love to see him run for Senate.
