Forget the fact we still don’t know why Ambassador Stevens was in Benghazi. Forget the fact that none of the other injured victims have been allowed to testify publically about events in Benghazi. Forget the fact that both the White House and State Dept have fought to hide information about the Benghazi 9-11 attack. Forget the fact the CIA and White House are in direct contradiction to each other.  Forget the fact that for some reason the activity in Benghazi Libya was an unknown joint State Dept./CIA operation.   Forget the fact Obama, Clinton, Power and Rice armed al-Qaeda operatives, “the rebels” in Benghazi.

Forget all that stuff…. Any Libyan inquiry is grounded in a racist motivation. So sayeth the CBC and Clyburn.

The White House legal advisor who framed the administrations legal references for drone killing of American citizens is due to be confirmed without allowing his drone memos to be reviewed prior to confirmation vote.  Yeah, we have a problem with that…. 

WASHINGTON DC – Bolstered by the promised public release of a secret legal memo, Senate Democrats are ready to approve a top federal judgeship for a former Obama administration official who helped formulate the justification for the drone killings of suspected American terrorists overseas.

The Senate was expected Thursday to approve David Barron to join the 1st U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, which is based in Boston.

Barron cleared a pivotal hurdle Wednesday when senators voted 52-43 to end opponents’ efforts to derail the nomination. In that roll call, Barron was opposed by every voting Republican and two Democrats, Sens. Mary Landrieu of Louisiana and Joe Manchin of West Virginia. (more…)

(Via Eli Lake – Daily Beast) In 2012, the Obama administration produced a draft National Intelligence Estimate that reached a surprising conclusion: al Qaeda was no longer a direct threat to America. That classified assessment, which has never before been publicly disclosed, was in keeping with the message coming from the White House. President Obama rode to re-election in 2012 partly on the success of the raid that killed Osama bin Laden. At rallies and in press conferences, the president and top officials publicly said al Qaeda was on the run.

But some senior U.S. intelligence officials, like Defense Intelligence Agency Director Gen. Michael Flynn, fought hard against that assessment, which amounted to an official pronouncement of the American intelligence community’s collected wisdom. Flynn and his faction won a partial victory, striking the judgment that the terrorist group no longer posed a threat to the homeland. “Flynn and others at the time made it clear they would not go along with that kind of assessment,” one U.S. intelligence officer who worked on the al Qaeda file told The Daily Beast. “It was basically: ‘Over my dead body.’” (more…)

My company, Lavabit, provided email services to 410,000 people – including Edward Snowden, according to news reports – and thrived by offering features specifically designed to protect the privacy and security of its customers.

I had no choice but to consent to the installation of their device, which would hand the US government access to all of the messages – to and from all of my customers – as they travelled between their email accounts other providers on the Internet.

But that wasn’t enough. The federal agents then claimed that their court order required me to surrender my company’s private encryption keys, and I balked. What they said they needed were customer passwords – which were sent securely – so that they could access the plain-text versions of messages from customers using my company’s encrypted storage feature. Abdel Fattah El-Sisi is the dragon slayer of radical Islam. Unfortunately it’s Russia who has stepped in to assist El-Sisi in the fight against the radicals. Russia, because the United States, under Obama’s direction has supported the now ousted President Morsi.

CAIRO, EGYPT — The Egyptian presidential elections have begun—with wide expectations that former Defense Minister Abdel Fattah El-Sisi will be the winner.

El-Sisi—the most powerful man in Egypt—and maybe in the whole Middle East now—is the man who toppled the Muslim Brotherhood, killed, arrested, displaced their leaders, orphaned their children, widowed their wives, ruined their business, confiscated their money,  and turned their dreams into nightmares.

Anyone who reads the history of the Muslim Brotherhood knows that assassinations were always their favorite way to get rid of their enemies or whomever stood in their way. El-Sisi, who utterly shattered their dreams —which they’ve been working on for eighty long years— delivered the knockout punch.

Recently, El-Sisi revealed during his first televised debate that he survived two assassination attempts, without disclosing details.

It seems that the Assassination of El-Sisi has already become the ultimate goal of the Brotherhood and their militias. Sources reveal that Russian and Egyptian intelligence services have discovered 3 different plans for the assassination of El-Sisi.

The sources point out that the first assassination plot was right after the June 30 revolution, and that this scheme was planned in a German city with the presence of members of the international Muslim Brotherhood organization—and the representatives of three different countries intelligence agencies, who support the Brotherhood. Senator Dianne Feinstein (D – Calif.) thinks the House select committee on Benghazi is “ridiculous.”

“I think it’s a hunting mission for a lynch mob,” she told CNN’s Candy Crowley on State of the Union Sunday.

President Obama proclaimed there was “not even a smidgen of corruption” in the IRS targeting of Tea Party groups.   The truth begs to differ…. in a very substantial way.

Last week (May 9th) the IRS finally agreed to send the House Ways and Means Committee all of the Lois Lerner emails.   Now we know why.    Yesterday, as a result of a lawsuit filed by Judicial Watch the IRS was forced to turn over those emails.   It should be noted, the scope of the emails turned over by court order to Judicial Watch are far more extensive than the IRS turned over to the House Investigating Committee.

Previously in April, the House Ways and Means Committee sent a letter to Attorney General Eric Holder requesting a criminal charge against Lois Lerner.  The newly released documents provide even more evidence that warrant DOJ action.

Released by Judicial Watch – (Washington, DC) – Judicial Watch today released a new batch of Internal Revenue Service (IRS) documents revealing that its handling of Tea Party applications was directed out of the agency’s headquarters in Washington, DC.  The documents also show extensive pressure on the IRS by Senator Carl Levin (D-MI) to shut down conservative-leaning tax-exempt organizations.

The IRS’ emails by Lois Lerner detail her misleading explanations to investigators about the targeting of Tea Party organizations.

The documents came in response to an October 2013 Judicial Watch Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit filed after the agency refused to respond to four FOIA requests dating back to May 2013 (Judicial Watch, Inc. v. Internal Revenue Service (No. 1:13-cv-01559)).

One key email string from July 2012 confirms that IRS Tea Party scrutiny was directed from Washington, DC. On July 6, 2010, Holly Paz (the former Director of the IRS Rulings and Agreements Division and current Manager of Exempt Organizations Guidance) asks IRS lawyer Steven Grodnitzky “to let Cindy and Sharon know how we have been handling Tea Party applications in the last few months.”  Cindy Thomas is the former director of the IRS Exempt Organizations office in Cincinnati and Sharon Camarillo was a Senior Manager in their Los Angeles office.
