The head of the Office of Personnel Management, Katherine Archuleta, resigned today.  Under her watch the OPM was hacked and the private information of 25 million government workers and contractors was stolen.

However, as typical, the White House doesn’t call it “theft” per se’.  In Clintonian fashion they have created a new parseltongue verb:

See, it wasn’t really hacked; nothing was actually stolen; data was merely “exfiltrated” – no biggie.  Of course all of this avoids pointing out that Archuleta had no basis for being in charge of the OPM in the first place. The sum total of her experience was her position as national political director for Obama for America, the President’s reelection campaign.

For more than a year we have been asking a simple question:

“How can the DOJ conduct an investigation into unlawful aspects of the IRS targeting of specific 501(c)(4) groups, when the DOJ is the initiating body for the illegality they are seeking to investigate?” (June 28th, 2014)

A few days ago Judicial Watch revealed new FOIA discoveries and posed this:

“These new documents show that the Obama IRS scandal is also an Obama DOJ and FBI scandal,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. “The FBI and Justice Department worked with Lois Lerner and the IRS to concoct some reason to put President Obama’s opponents in jail before his reelection.

And this abuse resulted in the FBI’s illegally obtaining confidential taxpayer information. How can the Justice Department and FBI investigate the very scandal in which they are implicated?” (link)

Concerned the recent killing in San Francisco will expose the Obama Executive Action’s halting deportation to increased scrutiny, the White House says today it’s the fault of congress.

WASHINGTON DC – The White House on Monday defended its immigration policies and blasted Republicans following the killing of a San Francisco woman — allegedly by an undocumented immigrant.

When asked if the case was a failure of the administration’s enforcement policies, White House press secretary Josh Earnest chided Republicans for blocking a bipartisan immigration bill that would have boosted funding for border security.

“I recognize that people want to play politics with this,” Earnest said. “The fact is the president has done everything within his power to make sure that we’re focusing our law enforcement resources on criminals and those who pose a threat to public safety.” (more…)

Under the rules within ObamaCare, the difference between the premiums they demand – and the premium price you end up paying, is the bailout amount they will get from HHS via congress.  Taxpayers are going to pay the higher premium rate no matter what; the only decision is whether it’s direct or indirect payment.

Washington– Health insurance companies around the country are seeking rate increases of 20 percent to 40 percent or more, saying their new customers under the Affordable Care Act turned out to be sicker than expected. Federal officials say they are determined to see that the requests are scaled back. I’ve been looking at this closely, back home in the EU there is no such nonsense, I get my E1111 plan which has been stable and established for a long time, and we are not foaming with comunism-rabies like America likes to make it seem we do.

Blue Cross and Blue Shield plans — market leaders in many states — are seeking rate increases that average 23 percent in Illinois, 25 percent in North Carolina, 31 percent in Oklahoma, 36 percent in Tennessee and 54 percent in Minnesota, according to documents posted online by the federal government and state insurance commissioners and interviews with insurance executives. On Saturday, Foreign Minister Javad Zarif released a video urging the U.S. to have “courage” to compromise and reach an agreement.

…“At this 11th hour, despite some differences that remain, we have never been closer to a lasting outcome,” Zarif said. “But there is no guarantee. WASHINGTON DC –  It is rare for news events, even as momentous as the past week’s, to drown out absolute proof that a candidate for president has lied willfully to the public and Congress. Yet precisely such proof has emerged, and it has appeared not only in this newspaper but also in The New York Times (albeit with a headline designed not to draw attention).

Americans learned this spring that Hillary Clinton, in contravention of federal records rules and current law, conducted all her State Department business using a private email address, housed in a server at her home in Westchester County, N.Y.

But not to worry — the former secretary of state swore that she had diligently preserved and passed to the State Department every email she had written in the course of her job. Even though she destroyed all the evidence by wiping the server afterward, she assured the public that everything related to her conduct of official business had been kept and turned over, as the law requires.
