(South Sudan) Nonessential U.S. Embassy personnel were evacuated Friday from South Sudan aboard two KC-130 aircraft assigned to a Marine crisis response team positioned in nearby Uganda.
The State Department said it ordered a reduction in staffing at the embassy in Juba, the capital of South Sudan, citing the deteriorating security situation there.
“We are taking this step out of an abundance of caution to ensure the safety and security of our diplomatic personnel,” State Department spokeswoman Marie Harf said in a statement. “As a result of this drawdown, the U.S. Embassy in Juba will not be able to provide consular services to U.S. citizens in South Sudan.” (more…)

Before you read the article outlining the latest U.S. Administration perspective on the Russian Islamist Bombings in Volgograd it’s good to remind yourself what Obama calls congress. The U.S. Congress has been called “terrorists”, “extremists”, and “obstructionists who hold guns to the heads of American People”.
Meanwhile Fort Hood is “workplace violence”, the Boston Marathon bombing was just a disenfranchised domestic dispute, and U.S. engagement in Libya was us “sharing unsolicited instant demolition devices”.

(Via PJ Media) The Obama administration offered to work on Sochi Olympics security issues with Russia after a pair of bombings in Volgograd killed at least 31 people.

One odd incident might lend a person to ignore completely.  Like a flu that results in a slip n fall, which results in a concussion, which results in a “blood clot”…. all happening just before you are scheduled to testify before a congressional committee on Benghazi that might just contain questions that would destroy your carefully controlled career.

Two mysterious incidents, meh, maybe a little more attention.  Like, well, a fire that breaks out above your office in the State Department, and only above YOUR office – During the Thanksgiving holiday when no-one is around.

The Benghazi Slaughter was a mere symptom of the failed Libyan policy.   Does anyone remember R2P?    I had previously written:  Beyond a wholesome discipline this is the biggest issue just sitting there and all our representatives totally ignore it.

• 1.)  The nineteen days of Obama silence ?    Nothing.
• 2.)  The State Dept contracted/hired an evacuation ship in Tripoli – Broken down and no-way to evacuate our personell ?   Nothing.
• 3.)  In the height of Libyan *civil war* (battle) we could not get Americans out ?  Nothing.
• 4.)  We didn’t even know the ideology of “the rebels” – yet we armed them ?   Nothing.
• 5.)  Libyan Justice Minister Mustafa Abdel Jalil – known al-Qaeda operative ? Nothing.
• 6.)  Susan Rice (as U.N. Ambassador) skips emergency U.N. Security council meeting ?  Nothing.
• 7.)   Libya’s WMD (known stockpiles of mustard gas) ?   Nothing.
• 8.)   20,000 SAAM and Stinger Missiles disappear ?   Nothing.
• 9.)   Eventually Obama invokes use of  War Powers Act – But after 30 days the law requires a congressional vote ?   Nothing.
• 10)  White House own OLC (Office of Legal Council) notifies him he is defying law ?  Yet, again – Nothing.
• 11)  Clinton and Sarkozy meetings to coordinate NATO attack ?   Since when is State Dept in charge of DoD?   Yet, Nothing.

Media discussed Obama/Rice/Powers/Clinton – Responsibility to Protect Doctrine  –  But who had responsibility to protect AMERICANS ?
The real Libyan controversy happened long before a compound in Benghazi was attacked.

The market place trolly was about 2 miles away from the Train Station bombing.
VOLOGRAD RUSSIA – A suicide bombing in the Russian city of Volgograd has killed at least 10 passengers on a trolley bus. The explosion comes a day after a terrorist attack in the city which killed 17 people and injured scores of others.

At least 15 people were injured by the blast on Monday morning. A  one-year-old baby is reported to be among the victims.
The explosion was set off by a suicide bomber, spokesman for the  Russian Investigative Committee, Vladimir Markin, confirmed. (more…)

By now everyone is well aware of the New York Times article trying to point the blame of responsibility away from al-Qaeda in Benghazi Libya; the attacks on the U.S. compound in Benghazi which led to the death of FOUR Americans.
EVERYONE with a scintilla of intellectual honesty knows the Times Article is pure deflective Pro-Hillary propaganda.
It does not take words to destroy their insufferable claims.

Details beginning to come out behind this horrific terrorist attack in Russia.  Volgograd is a city of around 1 million people, about 690 km  northeast of Sochi and close to Russia’s volatile region of North  Caucasus. The city saw a terrorist attack just in October, when a   suicide  bomber blew herself up in a bus, killing six people and  injuring more than 30 others.

•The power of the explosion at Volgograd’s station was equivalent  to at least 10 kg TNT, according to Vladimir Markin [Health Ministry].  The explosive device  was stuffed with pieces of scrap metal. The Committee said that  an undetonated F-1 grenade was also found at the scene.
•The female was initially identified as Oksana Aslanova, a close  friend of Naida Asiyalova – also known as ‘Amaturahman’ – who was  behind the October Volgograd attack. Aslanova is said to have  been married twice to two militants, both eliminated earlier.
A few hours later, more evidence emerged suggesting that a man  could have also been involved in the attack. The version, which  was also picked up by investigators, came after a male finger  with a pin from a grenade was found at the scene. (more…)

The more I read about what, where, when, why and how Snowden came to find out about the scope of the NSA intelligence gathering – the more I accept there was no other way for him to reveal the entire mess.  
(Via The Guardian) Edward Snowden, the former security contractor who leaked a trove of National Security Agency documents, welcomed a court ruling on Monday that declared the bulk collection of Americans’ telephone records to be a likely violation of the US constitution.

Snowden said the ruling, by a US district judge, justified his disclosures. “I acted on my belief that the NSA’s mass surveillance programs would not withstand a constitutional challenge, and that the American public deserved a chance to see these issues determined by open courts,” he said in comments released through Glenn Greenwald, the former Guardian journalist who received the documents from Snowden.
“Today, a secret program authorised by a secret court was, when exposed to the light of day, found to violate Americans’ rights. It is the first of many,” said Snowden, whose statement was first reported by the New York Times. (more…)

May I ask why this is such a controversy ?   We all knew the impetus for OBL’s hatred of The United States was driven, in part, by his anger about being ostracized in Saudi Arabia for his vocal opposition to Saudi asking the U.S. for help when Saddam Hussein invaded Kuwait and visibly threatened to drive his Republican Guard South into Saudi Arabia.

OBL was angry with the kingdom’s decision to align with the U.S. for protection – OBL was a Saudi National with massive internal support within the region.   So why would it be a shock that those OBL aligned elements within the house of Saud would be part of the 911 attacks?

The bigger question is: who, or what, benefits from this public discussion being injected into our body politic at this specific moment?

I really wanted to hunker down and ride it out.  But the insufferable propaganda around the death of Nelson Mandela is too much to ignore. Rather than deconstruct all of these ridiculous liberal CNN-isms and talking points, let’s just cut it down to brass tacks and stick to historical facts.
Apartheid as a political structure in South Africa was bad. Oppression under any guise is always wrong.
But with Apartheid you must step back to the geo-political map of 1976-1990 and evaluate the alternatives.
A bunch of stuff happened between the fall of the Shah of Iran and the collapse of the Berlin Wall / Soviet Empire which framed the backdrop for U.S. political discussion and eventual activity in South Africa.
