The Democrats want to add removal of the “Sequester Cuts” into the budgetary maneuvers. Essentially, last year the Dem’s made a strategic blunder; thinking they had the Republicans backed into a corner with the following proposition: ‘Either raise taxes *OR* watch horrible cuts to Defense spending”.
What Dem’s didn’t realize at the time was the strength of the conservative pressure on the traditional GOP. As a consequence the “Sequester” was not seen as unpalatable as Harry Reid thought, the common sense conservative electorate shrugged off the threat and said fine let the future military spending shrink – and retain tax rates.
The outcome was Dem’s proclaiming the Sequester was the end of the world. It didn’t end. And so today…..

(Baseline for discussion stems from Reuters Article Outline ) – Some U.S. senators said they were closing in on a deal Monday that would reopen the government and push back the deadline on the hard Debt Ceiling/Spending decisions for several months, though many hurdles remained as a Thursday 10/17 deadline drew near. There are many similarities at work in the French electorate just like they are here. The Front National Party (FN) is similar in view and position to the U.S. Tea Party. However, the FN has an actual political structure. Pay attention to this paragraph in the article (emphasis mine):
“The left and the mainstream right are blaming each other for what is happening, but the reality is they’ve both been knocked sideways,” said Nonna Mayer, the Research Director at the National Research Centre CNRS. “Neither of them know what to do.”
Sound familiar?
*Note* For those who don’t follow international politics closely Marine Le Pen is like a French version of Sarah Palin; albeit without the media attached misogyny.
FRANCE24 – France’s mainstream political parties were Monday scratching their heads over what to do about a surge by the Front National (FN) after a breakthrough by-election win for the far-right party.
The ruling Socialist party and the centre-right Union for a Popular Movement (UMP), the party of former president Nicolas Sarkozy, face humiliating reverses in municipal and European elections next year if the FN can sustain its current standing in the eyes of an electorate thoroughly fed-up with record unemployment, rising taxes and a perceived increase in crime and insecurity.
A poll published last week suggested the FN could emerge as the best-supported party in the European elections with 24 percent of those asked declaring themselves ready to back the party led by Marine Le Pen, the daughter of FN founder Jean-Marie Le Pen. (more…)

The only reason this is happening is specifically because the: Bill Ayers, Bernadine Dohrn, Samantha Powers, Cass Sunstein, Susan Rice, Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, Valerie Jarrett,…. crew of checked scarf wearing, Palestinian sympathizing, jew hating, left-wing, scum sucking progressives’ have been rebuked by the vast majority of Freedom Patriots in Egypt. Period.

(Article @Daily Pamphlet) This week, the left’s psychosis is on full display. Nowhere more obvious is the loss of mental function than in the far-left MSM, who will obfuscate the highest level of crime, and the lowest level of deviousness of Democrats, to propagate and proselytize their ideology
Today, in all its glory, the left wing rag The New Republic went so far as to suggest the Obama Administration break out the tanks, and do some killing of Republicans, to “put the boot on the throats” of the Republicans in the House of Representatives. Actor James Woods tweeted the adage to me a few weeks ago, if you scratch away the surface of a leftist, you expose a fascist. Nowhere is this more evident and proven than the suggestion by The New Republic’s Senior Editor Julia Ioffe’s suggestion that Obama act as Boris Yeltsin did when he shot up Russia’s Parliament building with T-72 tanks.
I have now heard it all. I have seen it all. What we are witnessing is what “The Great One” Mark Levin calls “Soft Tyranny.” Such tyranny is a slow walk to 25% of our population being murdered, as Stalin, Pot, Mao, and Castro did, to name just a few of the most illustrious and storied Marxist “revolutionaries” who murdered all of those who couldn’t be “retrained”…as Obama crony Bill Ayers promised to do in his manifesto. Yesterday the media were swarming Chad Henderson. He was interviewed by The Washington Post, Huffington Post, Politico, NBC, MSNBC and The Wall Street Journal. President Obama’s OFA was tweeting about him, and even The U.S. Dept of Health and Human Services interviewed him and was considering using him for “Obamacare” like Sandra Fluke for “free birth control”.
This is what today was about: MT @ChadHenderson: enrolled in #Obamacare! Looking forward to having affordable healthcare for the first time!

That was Wednesday and yesterday.
Today: After speaking directly with Chad Henderson, The Washington Post has confirmed that he has not in fact enrolled in a health-care plan.
The coverage of Chad Henderson has been massive. He was featured in The Washington Post Thursday as “the Obamacare enrollee that tons of reporters are calling.” He was also profiled in The Huffington Post as someone who “beat the glitches to sign up for Obamacare.” He was interviewed by Politico, multiple local news organizations, and, according to his Facebook feed, was asked to be part of a conference call hosted by the Department of Health and Human Services.
Chad’s story was tweeted out by the official Obamacare Twitter feed. It was promoted to the media by Enroll America, a health-care activist group headed by a former White House communications staffer, as a sign of Obamacare’s success. Henderson told reporters at multiple news outlets that after a three-hour wait to sign up online, he enrolled around 3 a.m. Tuesday morning in an unsubsidized private insurance plan that would cost him about $175 a month. He also said that his father enrolled in separate coverage plan that would cost about $250 a month after factoring in the subsidies for which his father qualified on his approximately $24,000 annual income. The former head of the KGB is now directing the President of the United States on what to do, how to do it, and what will be acceptable. Totally flaying the White House because he knows POTUS does not have support of his own people. In essence he is daring President Obama to have a vote in his own congress. Putin knows such a vote would fail therefore he can position himself as being on the side of the U.S. majority. His directions published Swooningly by,…. wait for it…. why, the New York Times of course:

(NYT) . . . A new opportunity to avoid military action has emerged in the past few days. The United States, Russia and all members of the international community must take advantage of the Syrian government’s willingness to place its chemical arsenal under international control for subsequent destruction. Judging by the statements of President Obama, the United States sees this as an alternative to military action.

I welcome the president’s interest in continuing the dialogue with Russia on Syria. We must work together to keep this hope alive, as we agreed to at the Group of 8 meeting in Lough Erne in Northern Ireland in June, and steer the discussion back toward negotiations. (more…)
The vote from the Senate Foreign Affairs Committee to put Obama’s Syrian resolution before the full Senate is essentially meaningless. The subsequent vote amid the full Senate to support such a resolution is more politically valuable, but not terribly much.
The vote that counts, to authorize President Obama to use our military and attack Syria, will only come from the House of Representatives – The ‘People’s House’.

With that in mind a couple of recent tracking polls, ABC and Think Progress, are in alignment: (more…)
About McDonald’s, $15/hour wages and much more, BigFur shares:
Nothing is a distraction. It’s all part of being fundamentally transformed. The punches are being thrown in a windmill fashion, and some may hurt more than others, but it’s the same assault.
I don’t buy the notion that any single issue that burns our ass hairs is a distraction. That’s actually an insulting elitist charge. It implies that “you don’t know what’s really going on but I do.”
The people who read political blogs know what’s going on. The people who don’t don’t care and/or are Obama voters. Our job is to get them to care.
The “one big picture” story that the “clued in people know what’s what” posted over, and over, and over again, is fruitless.
You capture the hearts and minds of people over time when you show them lots of examples of our destructive march leftward. You never know what’s going to resonate with the otherwise disinterested. It might be a story about how PETA is actually more cruel to animals than they let on.
THAT’S WHY THIS EXAMPLE IS IMPORTANT – CLICK HERE
Society, for those beyond their 3rd decade, is visibly shifting. For the others it’s less identifiable.
The water is warm, very warm, and the sensible frogs know what lies ahead. The sensible frogs can detect the subtle variance in the slow increase of water temperature.
This shift is a natural, and historically proven outcome, from progressive advancement. It has existed for as long as man has associated for common aggregation – it continues today.
Nothing about this is new or uncharted territory.
This place, where we are today, has been visited by societies long before the U.S. Republic was formed.
