Not everyone will understand the coded message in the headline. That’s ok.
Here is the media report from yesterday’s fiasco…. (HatTip Manybuddies)
Here are some random thoughts to chew on…. (more…)
I doubt anyone could ever watch a more categorically inept nominee face questioning than former Republican Senator Chuck Hagel. President Obama appears to have nominated Hagel for only one reason – ideological synergy: Lead from behind, follow the principle of flawed R2P mindset, and intentionally diminish the capacity of the U.S. Military.
Clueless would be the best descriptive.
During the holidays we kept saying something was seriously wrong with the difference between what the Media was reporting, and what the actual companies involved in the economic transactions were saying. The media were intentionally misleading the broader public by selling positive economic talking points from Progressive Think Tanks of various forms (see Klugman and crew). The Legacy Media, in all its forms, was selling a line of B.S. Now the proof.
WASHINGTON DC – The nation’s economy unexpectedly shrank by 0.1 percent in the fourth quarter of 2012, casting fresh doubt on the strength of the economy recovery.
The new estimate of gross domestic product (GDP) from the Commerce Department marks the first time the economy shrank since it was in the depths of the recession in mid-2009.
The dip came as a surprise to economists. Experts had believed the U.S. would post a modest economic gain of slightly over 1 percent, after logging a 3.1 percent increase in the third quarter. (link)
As we shared back in September the 3rd quarter GDP was a total farce, a fabricated set of completely false economic data points. When people like Jack Welch were pointing it out the media were rabid in their attacks. There was no actual “growth” in the 3rd quarter either, it was all just a guise to cover for the election of Dear Leader. (more…)

Not to worry, it’s only a drill…
Nevermind, it is only a training exercise….
Um, what exactly are they drilling, or training, FOR?
Seriously, everyone is reporting on “what” they are doing.
Fine. I get that.
The Algerian Hostage Slaughter was a direct response to the French counter-offensive in Mali against the Islamist Jihadists. The Islamic terrorists responsible for the Algerian attack came from, and used weapons from, Libya. Even Hillary Clinton recently admitted as such.
Simultaneous to, and as a direct consequence of, this French/U.S. Mali escalation, all foreign nationals were recently recommended to evacuate the areas of Eastern Libya (Benghazi).
The United States is now providing military assistance, logistics, support, transport and refueling for French troops in their fight for Mali.
Turkish President Erdogan took over the primary gatekeeper spot from Mouamar Kaddafi after his death. Going back on the timeline on U.S. Benghazi support and weapons shipments for the “Rebels”, you might remember Turkey being opposed; Not opposed because Erdogan approved of Kaddafi, quite the contrary; Opposed because they wanted to increase the certainty of an Islamist, not moderate, victory. This is the same reason Turkey wanted to control the recipients of “any” weapons headed to Syria.
Also, think back to September 11th 2012, and the last official diplomatic envoy who met with Ambassador Stevens before the consulate attack began, Turkish Ambassador Ali Kemal Aydin; When the envoy was leaving, somehow they navigated the al-Qaeda roadblocks that were formed moments earlier and surrounded the neighborhood.

We have watched the horizon for this over two years now. HERE and HERE – The best view is through the comparative prism between Illinois and neighboring Wisconsin and Indiana (more following article). In July of 2011 Illinois Governor Quinn signed the largest tax increase in history, raising state income taxes by 60%. Now the state bond rating is the worst in the nation….
ILLINOIS – Illinois’ credit rating has taken another hit. Standard & Poor’s Ratings Service downgraded the state from an “A” rating to “A-minus”, making it the worst in the country.
The New York ratings firm’s ranking means taxpayers may have to pay tens of millions of dollars more in interest when the state borrows money for roads and other projects.
The downgrade is the latest fallout over the $96.8 billion debt to five state pension systems. The downgrade now ties Illinois with California, but California has a positive outlook.
Illinois’ fragile overall financial status netted it a negative outlook, putting it behind California overall. The ratings came out now because Illinois plans to issue $500 million in bonds within days. (article link)
Um, toldyaso… The architect of the Oval Office defense behind Fast and Furious, AND the architect of the Benghazi defense, Denis McDonough, is going to be rewarded with the office overlooking the Don Regan patio.
(Via The Hill) President Obama is leaning toward choosing Denis McDonough, currently a deputy national security adviser, as his next chief of staff, sources told Bloomberg.
McDonough, who worked on Obama’s 2008 campaign, is considered deeply loyal to the president. He was a longtime congressional aide who worked for Obama when he was a freshman senator. McDonough also served as foreign policy adviser to then-Senate Democratic Leader Tom Daschle (S.D.) and legislative director to then-Sen. Ken Salazar (D-Colo.), who is now the secretary of the Interior. (more…)
(Via HuffPo WASHINGTON) — Just days before Vice President Joe Biden issues a sweeping series of recommendations on gun policy Tuesday, the outline of his suggestions is coming into focus.
Multiple sources close to the talks tell The Huffington Post that the vice president will make universal background checks for all gun purchases the “top priority” of his suggestions. The idea has broad support among politicians in the wake of the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School, as well as backing from some traditionally pro-gun rights voices. The clearest sign that background checks will be the centerpiece of the Biden recommendations, however, is that a number of gun control advocacy groups have also deemed it such, as opposed to focusing their efforts on higher-profile measures, such as those that would limit the types of guns available for purchase.
