WASHINGTON DC – Democrats are defending President Barack Obama’s provocative March 18 pick to head the Department of Labor, Tom Perez, by highlighting his Hispanic heritage.

“This morning: RNC autopsy warned GOP to improve Hispanic outreach. This afternoon: Senate Rs fight Hispanic nominee,” said a tweet from Sen. Harry Reid’s digital media advisor, Faiz Shakir.

Brad Woodhouse, the spokesman for the Democratic National Committee, broadcast a tweet from teachers’ union leader, saying “This is why GOP does so poorly with Latinos. Perez deserves better.” (more…)

(By:  Jack Cashill)  The headline of the Orlando Sentinel on March 5 introduced a harsh note of  reality into the darkly comic opera the major media have been spinning around  the death of Trayvon Martin, “Lawyer: State’s main witness in George Zimmerman  murder case lied.”

That witness, Witness No. 8, Trayvon’s alleged 16-year-old sweetheart “Dee  Dee,” captivated the media when the story surfaced on March 20, 2012.

CNN covered it live. Anchor Kyra Phillips enthused about the “chilling new  perspective” added to the case by the testimony of this heartsick girl who was  on the phone with Trayvon when he was shot by George Zimmerman.

Phillips then introduced CNN legal analyst Sunny Hostin.  Hostin had spoken  with a Martin family attorney and shared with the CNN audience what he had  learned. (more…)

Let me tell you what the “real” long, and short-term, goal of the Fabian Socialist progressives is.   The economy, right now, is naturally about to seriously contract.   All of the signs are there:   Wal-Mart is reporting massive drops in same store sales, restaurants are reporting the same, durable goods orders are the lowest in decades, Obamacare is forcing restructuring and lay-offs of small and medium-sized business payrolls.  Etc…. etc.

All of the KPI indicators, including the revised 3rd and 4th qtr GDP numbers point to a new recession – it just has not been quantified yet.   But.It.Is.Here.    

This is known to economists and the White House.  What President Obama, Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi are doing is creating an argument to deflect attention from their failed economic policy – They are going to use the faux sequester impact to deflect away, and explain, their new recession.    That is the current strategy and the overarching goal;  Avoidance for the consequences of their creation.  Make it look like it’s the other guys fault.   (more…)

You’ll never get a clue what’s being done to, and within, this country from the complicit “mainstream” media. But a KGB expert who defected to the good guys was explaining it for us back in the 80s. Yuri Bezmenov tried to warn us:

Stage One: Demoralization – Elimination of American Exceptionalism, fundamental change of national identity, structural deconstruction of foundational principles, elimination of religion. Cloward Piven approach to overloading the system, ie more takers than producers. The crisis produces benevolent leaders who will promise to deliver “things” (Hope and Change) to meet people’s needs through Social and Economic Justice. False illusions that the situation is under control if certain strategic directions are followed (Bailouts, Stimulus, Jobs Bills, Regulations of industry, Unconstitutional Power Grabs, Dismissal of Historical Laws, Changes in legislative processes, Changes in checks and balances of power etc). The sequester is not an actual “cut” to the non-existent budget.  It is a reduction in the size of the actual increase in spending.   But if you listened to the Obama administration and the water-carrying media – you’d think the end of the world was afore us.  Pfffffttt !

The million hoodie march is now a couple hundred race-baiting fools… gathering to beat their drums and demand mo’ money under the guise of ‘In-just-us’.   Laughable at best…

(AP STORY)  Martin’s parents, Sybrina Fulton and Tracy Martin, were joined by actor Jamie Foxx and a crowd of about 200 people on Tuesday evening in Manhattan’s Union Square Park. They lit candles and held a moment of silence at 7:17 p.m., the time Martin was fatally shot on Feb. 26, 2012.

Online articles about the Zimmerman case elicit comments that support Zimmerman’s contention that he acted in self-defense by over a margin of 6 to 1; the Martin family attorney who spearheaded the agitation for the Capias suddenly lawyers up himself and seeks to avoid being “put on the record”; and the ongoing failure of the various iterations of the “Trayvon Martin Foundation aka “Justice for TM” ” to raise any meaningful or significant funds.

The Trayvon Martin “cause” however, continues to live on, with life breathed into its metaphorical corpse by a corrupt legacy media desperate to maintain the fiction that institutional racism is alive and well in Obama’s America. On life support, the manufactured faux rage of the chattering class continues to be splashed across the pages of online editions of print newspapers and monthlies; and on “specials” by the cable news cabal regurgitating the same tired tropes first put forth by Ryan Julison. Financial Times – Abercrombie & Fitch said it would close 40 to 50 stores in the US this year as the youth fashion retailer’s shares tumbled following weak sales in the crucial Christmas quarter.

“The earnings report was just one big giant pool of negativity,” said Brian Sozzi, chief equities analyst at NBG Productions. “Sales did not meet expectations, particularly in its international segment, and the company offered cautious comments on its first-quarter outlook. This is just something the market did not want to hear.”  (link)

Last year we wrote several articles about Darden Restuarants owners of Olive Garden, Red Lobster and Longhorn Steakhouse.  Specifically, how their progressive ideology disconnects them from business sense.   At the time we spotlighted a few specific examples from their ideological organization, and flawed business model.  We penned:

Right is right, even if nobody does it.

George Zimmerman is suffering through the painful consequences from a lack of integrity.  However, the ironic and painful fact is this: it wasn’t his lack of integrity that has created the situation he is now dealing with, it was Mark O’Mara’s.

We watched last year in April and May as the hurricane of activity created some really horrible decisions on the part of many people in the Trayvon Martin shooting.

From Ryan Julison intentionally misleading the media in describing the case as racially driven–to Benjamin Crump intentionally fabricating *media* evidence surrounding witness #8 “DeeDee.”  But the integrity issues were not just on the opposition side.

Indeed the same unscrupulous behaviors were also in the camp of those defending George Zimmerman.   We tried to warn interested observers of the risk from Mark O’Mara falsifying information.   Unfortunately it fell on deaf ears.

Now those chickens are coming home to roost.
