The deadline for New York City firefighters to get vaccinated was yesterday.  Enforcement of the vaccine mandate is anticipated to begin Monday.  Today, the New York Post is reporting that 26 FDNY firehouses are currently closed due to short staffing directly related to the vaccine mandate.

But the vaccine mandate is all about the public health, right?

New York – The FDNY shut down 26 firehouses across the Big Apple as of 7:30 a.m. Saturday because of staff shortages caused by the vaccination mandate, The Post has learned.

[…] “Twenty six companies out of service is an unconscionable number,” said Councilman Joe Borelli, a Staten Island Republican who chairs the committee on fire and emergency management. “The firefighters who are unable to work have all been tested within the week and are not Covid positive, and I doubt New Yorkers care about the vaccine status of the person applying defibrillators to their chest

Two points.  #1) New York is shutting down healthcare provider services due to lack of human resources.  #2) New York’s largest healthcare provider, Northwell Health, just fired 1,400 workers for failing to take the forced vaccination.  Both of these points are currently facts in New York state.

NEW YORK – Northwell Health announced Monday that the company let go of 1,400 employees who decided not to comply with the state’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate for health care workers.

“Northwell regrets losing any employee under such circumstances, but as health care professionals and members of the largest health care provider in the state, we understand our unique responsibility to protect the health of our patients and each other,” a spokesperson for Northwell Health said in a statement. The deadline for New York healthcare workers to take the mandatory COVID-19 “vaccine” is Monday.  A significant number of nurses, healthcare workers and those who work within the entire system of healthcare will be leaving the medical industry as a result.

While the potential vacancy rate for healthcare workers is yet undetermined -they have to wait to see how many actually leave- New York Governor Kathy Hochul announced earlier today that foreign workers will be hired to replace the U.S. workers who refuse the vaccine.

In a semi-related note, controversial New York Health Commissioner Harold Zucker -a former defender of Andrew Cuomo- announced his resignation a few hours before Governor Hochul made the announcement about replacing missing NY healthcare staff with foreign workers.  The announcement comes at 22:58 of the video below, in response to the question about both issues.  WATCH:

Kathy Hochul says the number of vaccine “holdouts” is unknown.  She has meetings scheduled for the next few days in an effort to be prepared.  She is also looking for ways to “change the healthcare licensing system” to permit out-of-state workers to help fill the void.  However, the NY legislature removed most of the unilateral authority to act under the current declared emergency, so the governor publicly says she is restricted in her authority but is “looking at ways to get around that.”

Keep in mind, the workers in question are not just nurses and direct healthcare providers; the mandate applies to everyone in the healthcare system including: clerical staff, billing offices, coders, janitors, receptionists, technology or IT staff, communication staff, cooks and cafeteria workers, in essence – everyone in the industry.

The 20th anniversary of the attacks on 9-11 presents a day to reflect, remember and pay tribute to those we lost.   I am sure most of us remember exactly where we were at the moment we found out our nation was under attack by terrorists.  Our nation was forever changed by those moments on September 11th, 2001.

Perhaps we can share our memories together as we think about the 20th anniversary of this date.

All residents in the Northeast coastal region, specifically Long Island and Southern New England, should pay close attention to local officials regarding precautions as Hurricane Henri begins tracking in that direction. The forward speed is 21 mph and the wind speed around the storm is 75 mph, a category-1 hurricane.

[National Hurricane Center] – At 1100 PM EDT (0300 UTC), the center of Hurricane Henri was located near latitude 38.6 North, longitude 71.0 West. Henri is moving toward the north near 21 mph (33 km/h) and this motion is expected to continue through tonight. A decrease in forward speed and a
turn toward the north-northwest is expected on Sunday. On the forecast track, Henri is expected to make landfall in southern New England or on Long Island on Sunday. After landfall, a turn to the north and a slower forward speed are expected as Henri moves over southern New England. (LINK)

Big Apple comrades, CONGRATULATIONS, the New York City requirement to show your vaccine papers begins today. Those who violate the requirement, or those who give false papers in order to participate in polite society, will be given a $1,000 fine for the first offense; $2,000 for the second non-compliant occurrence, and all subsequent infractions will cost $5,000.

Your proof of vaccination status will grant you access to indoor dining, fitness clubs and shows at indoor entertainment venues, including night clubs, concert halls, movie theaters and adult entertainment. The ministry of COVID compliance has been kind enough to provide one month of “social training” between when venues must require proof of vaccine from patrons (today) and when Comrade de Blasio has instructed the ministry to begin enforcement (mid-Sept). This grace period for social training is provided by the magnanimity of Dear Leader highlighting his compassion and understanding as these private venues get used to the system.

During this first month, the Ministry of COVID compliance will educate businesses in best practices for how to demand the vaccination papers Dear Leader de Blasio previously announced.

Facing massive political pressure for his sexual improprieties, sexual harassment allegations, abuses of power and generally creepy conduct in office; in other words – he’s a Democrat; today New York Governor Andrew announced his resignation.

NEW YORK (AP) — Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced his resignation Tuesday over a barrage of sexual harassment allegations in a fall from grace a year after he was widely hailed nationally for his detailed daily briefings and leadership during some of the darkest days of the COVID-19 pandemic.

In a televised address, the 63-year-old Democrat emphatically denied intentionally showing any disrespect toward women but said that fighting back against what he called the “politically motivated” attack on him would subject the state to months of turmoil, and “I cannot be the cause of that.” “The best way I can help now is if I step aside and let government get back to governing,” Cuomo said.

The creepy idol for the leftist political media continued to proclaim his innocence and called the charges of his sexual misconduct “a distraction” keeping him from the duties of his office.  However, a previous state investigation showed Cuomo consistently forced kisses upon his female staff; groped their breasts and buttocks and repeatedly touched them inappropriately.

When complaints were made against him, the governors office retaliated and the investigators said Cuomo created a work environment “rife with fear and intimidation.”

Lt. Gov. Kathy Hochul, a 62-year-old fellow Democrat and ideological traveler with support from the progressive NY tribe of socialists, will become the state’s 57th governor and the first woman to hold the job.

It can well be argued that New York City’s requirement for a vaccine passport is the canary in the coal mine; the test scenario to see how much real opposition exists to government mandated vaccination policies.  Citizens across the nation nation are starting to realize how severe this issue has become.

There is no other hill to stand upon if medical freedom is taken away.

What is ‘freedom‘ if government can force you to inject a substance in your body?  What is ‘liberty‘ if the government can force you into an unwanted medical procedure in order to live in society.   The issue here is not simply a forced injection.

There is no way for us to comply ourselves out of tyranny.  If we accept the government can forcibly mandate you to undergo a medical procedure, under any circumstance, as a condition to live and function in society, then we have conceded the very cornerstone of liberty.  The New York City vaccination passport must be stopped.

The first organized protest is scheduled for Monday, August 9th at Noon EST.
