Various radical leftist groups and professional anarchists swarmed the Place de la République in Paris where flowers and candles were placed in memory of those killed by terrorists.

The “green” activists, communists and various agenda driven left wing groups destroyed the memorial and used the candles to attack French riot police.   Much of their expressed anger is directed toward the new rules within a declared three month state of emergency following the terrorist attacks.

(Via France24) […]  France’s interior minister Bernard Cazeneuve said Sunday evening that 208 people had been arrested in connection with the clashes, of which 178 had been charged.

Speaking from an EU-Turkey summit in Brussels, French President François Hollande condemned the actions of the activists involved.

Imagine for a moment U.K. Prime Minister David Cameron delivering a speech at a U.S. university, while attending a global summit in the U.S. hosted by President Obama.
Imagine Mr. Cameron taking to the stage of the university and orating how the current administration holds no value toward the founding fathers of the U.S. Constitution.
Further imagine how it would be received if Mr. Cameron’s guest speech was about how nationalized socialistic healthcare, specifically ObamaCare, was corrosive and destructive to the foundational principles of our Republic.  Or if how Obama’s refusal to allow the Keystone pipeline was indicative of his communistic tendencies.

If that were ever to happen the professional left, and the U.S. administration, would be apoplectic with anger at the arrogance of such an undiplomatic and uncouth display.  It’s easy to imagine Chris Matthews shouting about how such an event would be ill-mannered and intentionally embarrassing the President.
However, that level of imaginary arrogance wasn’t imaginary this past weekend.  That is exactly what President Obama did while attending the G20 Summit in Brisbane Australia. (more…)

Yes, he really believes this.   In this recent speech to the African Summit leaders John Kerry tells the audience Africa should not start farms to feed its people.   Unreal.

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama defiantly dared congressional Republicans on Tuesday to try to block his efforts to act on his own and bypass a divided Congress that has thwarted his policy initiatives.
“So sue me,” he taunted on a sweltering day, as he pushed lawmakers to pay for road and bridge repairs. “I’m not going to apologize for trying to do something.”
Obama struck an aggressive tone in the face of a lawsuit threat from House Speaker John Boehner and in the wake of two defeats before the Supreme Court, including a unanimous decision from the court that he overreached when he appointed members of the National Labor Relations Board while the Senate was in recess. (Via The Daily Caller) This may come as a shocker to some, but scientists are not always right — especially when under intense public pressure for answers.

Researchers with the IUCN Polar Bear Specialist Group (PBSG) recently admitted to experienced zoologist and polar bear specialist Susan Crockford that the estimate given for the total number of polar bars in the Arctic was “simply a qualified guess given to satisfy public demand.”

Crockford has been critical of official polar bear population estimates because they fail to include five large subpopulations of polar bears. Due to the uncertainty of the populations in these areas, PBSG did not include them in their official estimate — but the polar bear group did include other subpopulation estimates. (more…)

(Via WFB)  CNN’s international correspondent Jim Clancy called the West Point response to President Obama’s meandering foreign policy address “pretty icy” Wednesday.

Clancy said it was “not really a great speech to give at the U.S. Military Academy,” and the address has drawn bipartisan criticism.

“It was a philosophical speech,” he said. “It was not a Commander-in-Chief speaking to his troops. And you heard the reception. I mean, it was pretty icy.” (link)
