An unnamed Florida elementary school teacher is suspended and ‘under investigation’ for conducting an experiment/lesson in segregation using their classroom.  As typically the case when media begin reporting on the issue, the school claims no knowledge or approval of anything…. always after the fact, and always after media catches on.

MINNEOLA, Fla. —A Lake County mom is outraged over what one teacher tried explaining to her students during what she called a “lesson in racism.”

Lychelle Bland wants her daughter to learn black history, but not by being discriminated against.  “It’s the craziest thing I’ve ever heard that a teacher did to teach a child something,” Bland said.

The principal of Minneola Elementary Charter School said that Tuesday after Martin Luther King Jr. Day, a first-grade teacher conducted an unapproved classroom experiment without notifying the school or parents. Kids, ages 7 and 8, were separated by eye color, then discriminated against for several hours. (more…)

I was meandering around the bits and pieces of an article outlining the current state of a moonbat educational story appearing Bangor Maine encapsulated within a story of a decades long teacher who is all of a sudden told her Hello Kitty Christmas tree was no longer culturally permissible, when something happened.

Black-clad protesters gathered in front of Dartmouth Hall, forming a crowd roughly one hundred fifty strong.  Ostensibly there to denounce the removal of shirts from a display in Collis, the Black Lives Matter collective began to sing songs and chant their eponymous catchphrase. Not content to merely demonstrate there for the night, the band descended from their high-water mark to march into Baker-Berry Library.

Summary:  A black female student at Spring Valley High School was being disruptive in class.  The student refused to leave after a teacher asked her to. A School administrator, also black, was called to the room, and also asked the student to leave, and she refused again. Finally, the school resource police officer (white guy) was called to the room.  The officer requested compliance the student refused twice.  The officer forcibly removed the student and placed her under arrest.

The BGI narrative began almost immediately – Richland County, SC (WLTX) – A Richland County school resource officer has been placed on administrative duty following an incident at a local high school that was captured on video and circulated on social media sites across the nation.

Lt. Curtis Wilson with the Richland County Sheriff’s Department said Monday night that Deputy Ben Fields will not be back at any school pending the results of an investigation. (more…)

NORTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, Fla. (WSVN) — School Police were called to intervene after a fight broke out at a South Florida elementary school between students and parents.
The large fight occurred at West Little River K-8 Center, at 2450 N.W. 84th St., Friday morning.

Two adults and four juveniles were taken into custody by Miami-Dade Schools Police. One of the adults has been charged with carrying a weapon on school grounds after officials discovered a butcher knife in her purse. The second adult was charged with aggravated battery. President Obama will not appoint a replacement, preferring to use an interim leader during the final year of his presidency. 
(Via CBS) Education Secretary Arne Duncan, one of President Obama’s longest-serving cabinet secretaries, intends to step down in December.
Sidestepping a nomination fight in Congress, Obama has tapped John King Jr., a senior official at the Education Department, to run the department in an acting capacity for the remainder of his administration.
Obama doesn’t intend to nominate King or another candidate for education secretary before his presidency ends in early 2017, said a White House official, who wasn’t authorized to comment by name and spoke on condition of anonymity. King came to Washington after serving as the education commissioner for the state of New York.
The unconventional approach will spare Obama a fight over a nominee in the Senate but is likely to draw resistance from Republicans in the Senate, which holds the power to confirm or reject nominees for Cabinet-level posts. (more…)

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Jeb Bush and most of the establishment republican candidates support Common Core educational standards.   Here’s yet another example of the indoctrination principles inherent therein:

(Via MyNorthwest) Starting in January of 2016, 6-12 grade social studies teachers will have the opportunity to teach from a “Black Lives Matter” textbook that meets Common Core criteria.
“The first chapter opens up with Michael Brown and Ferguson,” says the textbook’s co-author, Macalester College Professor Duchess Harris. “And then we backtrack to do a historical overview of interactions that African Americans have had with police encounters, historically. Then we return to Trayvon Martin and go all the way up to Baltimore.”
Harris, who lives in Minnesota and has already written a book on the civil rights movement, co-wrote the book with a journalist close to the issue. (more…)

(Via Todd Starnes) There was no halftime show under the Friday night lights at Mississippi’s Brandon High School — the marching band had been benched.
The band was ordered off the field because the Christian hymn “How Great Thou Art” was a part of their halftime show — in violation of a federal court order.
“The Rankin County School Board and District Office are very saddened students will not be able to perform their halftime show they have worked so hard on this summer,” the district wrote in a statement to the Clarion Ledger newspaper.
In 2013 a student sued the district over a series of Christian meetings that had been held on school property, the newspaper reported. The district later settled the lawsuit and acknowledged they had violated the student’s First Amendment rights. (more…)

Thereby implying that non-whites are incapable of cognitive reason; ergo any discussion is fruitless because the foundation is built upon two distinct parties with polarities within their views necessitating conflict.  The absolute epitome of racism.

I doubt you could find a more succinct presentation of the moral divide currently infecting the U.S. In this example a liberal professor says the very construct of reason and virtue is a white anglo-perspective that non-whites are incapable of understanding. In the most direct of terms, this professor is stating -albeit without accepting- that segregation is the only recourse.  This is the exact ideological world view of George Bernard Shaw and the original Fabian socialists.  

(Via Daily Caller) A philosophy and religion professor at Syracuse University gave an interview to The New York Times Thursday in which he critiqued the notion of pure reason as simply being a “white male Euro-Christian construction.”

Prof. John Caputo was being interviewed by fellow philosophy professor George Yancy for the 13th installment of an interview series Yancy conducts with philosophers regarding racial topics.

Given its emphasis on first principles and abstract thought, it may be tempting to view academic philosophy as a turf where the race of participants matters little, but Caputo says that’s entirely untrue. In fact, race is of central importance, and it’s proven by the mundane phrases philosophers use. (more…)
