Officer Michael Slager is the South Carolina police officer charged with murder in the shooting death of Walter Scott.  Officer Slager’s trial is set to begin October 31st 2016, however the DOJ announced additional federal charges today.
The back story for today’s DOJ announcement frames the motive for the Obama Dept of Justice, Civil Rights Division, to file proactive charges today – the media will avoid highlighting the transparency.  However, long term CTH readers will understand it well. Remember, Hillary Clinton called Ryan Julison.

The State of South Carolina has put itself in a very difficult position with prosecution of the case against officer Slager.  Despite the media presentation of the event, the charge of Murder is a significant reach given the actual events which occurred in the entirety of the several minutes of the physical struggle with Walter Scott which were not recorded or discussed in the media. We initially discussed this back on December 9th 2015, when our research revealed the relationship between Syed Rizwan Farook (shooter), his brother Syed Raheel Farook, and two Russian sisters Tatiana and Mariya Chernyk. – Full Backstory Here – It appears the FBI has now arrested the trio due to the sham ‘marriage-for-green-cards’ arrangement.

(Via USA Today) Three people linked to the couple whose December shooting rampage in San Bernardino left 14 people dead were arrested Thursday on conspiracy, marriage fraud and other charges.
The three include Syed Raheel Farook, the brother of Syed Rizwan Farook, who with his wife Tashfeen Malik also wounded 22 people before both died in a shootout with police.
Raheel Farook, 31, his wife Tatiana Farook, 31, and a woman named Mariya Chernynk were named in a five-count indictment issued this week by a federal grand jury. Chernykh, 26, is married to Enrique Marquez, Jr., who has been awaiting trial since December on charges of conspiring with Rizwan Farook in 2011 and 2012 to provide material support to terrorists. D.A.P.A or Deferred Action for Parents of Americans and Lawful Permanent Residents program – is the executive action Obama attempted in November of 2014 which was shut down by Federal Judge Andrew Hanen in February ’15 with the issuance of an emergency injunction.

• The DOJ appealed the Hanen injunction, on merit, to the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals and lost.
• The DOJ then appealed the Hanen injunction, on standing, to the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals, and lost again. (Full Backstory)  <– Absolutely critical read to understand the scope of what will be argued tomorrow – includes prior court rulings.

The DOJ filed an appeal with the US Supreme Court.  On January 19th, 2016 the U.S. Supreme Court agreed to hear the case.  The Court will hear oral arguments in the case tomorrow with a decision expected in late June/July – just as the 2016 presidential campaign, in which immigration has already played a major role, really starts to heat up.

According to a Reuters report the Obama administration has begun the process of selecting a nominee for the Supreme Court.

The White House on Monday said President Barack Obama had started preliminary discussions with his team about naming a Supreme Court justice nominee and accused Republicans of “bluster” for saying they would not confirm his pick.

White House spokesman Eric Schultz told reporters that Obama would seek a nominee who understands that justice is not an abstract theory but something that affects Americans’ daily lives. Republicans say Obama should put off naming a replacement for conservative Justice Antonin Scalia, who died this weekend, and leave it to whoever is elected president in November.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Obama administration confirmed for the first time Friday that Hillary Clinton’s unsecured home server contained some of the U.S. government’s most closely guarded secrets, censoring 22 emails with material demanding one of the highest levels of classification. The revelation comes just three days before the Iowa presidential nominating caucuses in which Clinton is a candidate.

The State Department will release its next batch of emails from Clinton’s time as secretary of state later Friday.

The Maryland Appeals Court has stepped in to halt the trial against Officer Caesar Goodson on the day jury selection was scheduled to begin.   In an earlier appellate court ruling the forced testimony of accused police officer William Porter was blocked.  The State’s cases are falling apart due to inept legal application and ideological motives to prosecute.

Baltimore State Attorney Marilyn Mosby is now claiming without Porter’s testimony her cases against both Caesar Goodson and Alicia White will not stand:

[…] not being able to call Porter as a witness would “result in irreparable harm to the People of Maryland by effectively gutting their government’s prosecution” of two of the officers. (link)

This Philadelphia report by NBC actually aligns with what many people have been able to piece together in the San Bernardino attack in December. Individual members activate, but they are only one part of larger Islamic Jihad terror cells.

(Philadelphia NBC10) Tensions ran high in the Philadelphia Police Department Sunday — three days after an attempted assassination of an officer in West Philadelphia by a man allegedly claiming he did it “in the name of Islam” — after an anonymous tip to officers on Saturday said the threat against police in the city is ongoing.

According to a police report obtained by NBC10 on Sunday, an anonymous tipster told officers that, “the threat to police is not over … the offender who shot [Officer Jesse] Hartnett is part of a group that consists of three others and that the [alleged shooter] is not the most radical of the four.” The report goes on to say the tipster told police to “be careful.” (more…)
