Yesterday we mentioned the CNN Jake Tapper interview of Leader Eric Cantor. Tapper continues to repeat a common White House meme about “Junk Plans” as he questions Cantor. Here is the video:
“[00:50] now these plans are being cancelled because they don’t meet the standards of Obamacare, the standards that would allow more / higher quality of quality care the administration says; Better care, covering more things”.
“Is that not a good goal to have fewer of what the Obama administration would call “junk plans”?”
Ergo some of these insurance cancellations are good for the insured, the ObamaCare plan is better for them, and the policy deserves to be cancelled. (more…)
The latest Poll from Quinnipiac was released yesterday. [ AVAILABLE HERE ]Obviously the media headlines are filled with uncomfortable to report on catch lines about President Obama, their chosen one, polling with his lowest favorability 39%, and highest unfavorability 54%, of his entire presidency.
More people distrust President Obama 52%, than view him as honest 44%.
More people think he is “incompetent” 53%, than view him as capable 43%.
And surprisingly 51% to 43% say the media is not paying enough attention to what he is doing.
Many people reflect on these public opinions and ask what will Obama do to turn it around?
However, that’s perhaps directing the question to the wrong person. The real question should be WWDMD? What will Denis McDonough do? Or, What will Valerie Jarrett do? Together, they are the real decision makers.
Typically, their approach is to deflect attention quickly. However, the media is unable to ignore the millions of people impacted by Obamacare.
So, I ask you guys – what do you think Denis McDonough and ValJar will do? What direction do you think they will take? What narrative will they stimulate to create the needed diversion?
The project manager in charge of launching the Obamacare website, Henry Chao, was blindsided to find out his boss, Tony Trenkle – CIO (Chief Information Officer for Healthcare.gov) had written a memo to top officials saying the site could not be secured until mid-2014 or 2015. Henry Chao was the launch approval project manager and shared to congressional committee he would not have approved if he knew.
The CMS Information Officer, Tony Trenkle, quit last week after his warning memo to CMS Administrator Marilyn Tavenner and HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius was revealed. The Trenkle memo revealed the details of the site security risk, and Mr. Trenkle warned not to launch site. His warnings were overridden by Ms. Tavenner.

SUMMARY: So it appears that Marilyn Tavenner and Kathleen Sebelius knew the site was not secure. Then, because of political fear, they kept Project Manager Chao in the dark, and told him to launch it regardless. He launched it thinking the site was secure.
(CBS News) WASHINGTON — CBS News has learned that the project manager in charge of building the federal health care website was apparently kept in the dark about serious failures in the website’s security. Those failures could lead to identity theft among buying insurance. The project manager testified to congressional investigators behind closed doors, but CBS News has obtained the first look at a partial transcript of his testimony.
Henry Chao, HealthCare.gov’s chief project manager at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), gave nine hours of closed-door testimony to the House Oversight Committee in advance of this week’s hearing. According to new definitions stemming from the White House, and new regulatory definitions from President Obama and his regulatory team, a customer “test drive” will now qualify as a sale.

There is quite a bit going on in this video clip from MSNBC this morning. The new polling numbers show widespread disapproval of President Obama.
However, quite frankly, Bam Bam doesn’t care. The entire 2nd Term Tour is sold out, the tickets non-refundable, and the only prediction an intellectually honest person would reconcile is the expectation that “something big” will be formulated to distract everyone.
With that simple understanding in mind, and referring to Toronto, Dem Operative James Carville says Dear Leader should just toke on the crack pipe.

It’s interesting to see how really smart people define the persona of President Obama. Many psychological descriptives are generally discussed, assigned and presented for consideration by some insightful people. All of whom are far, far smarter than I.
But, after watching Dear Leader in action for 5+ years, most of the presented descriptions just don’t fully reconcile for me personally.
I just don’t see him as that smart.
Nor do I think he’s cognitively pathological, emotionally narcissistic, or other various types of [ insert your favorite behavioral science aspect here]. I just don’t see it.
President Obama is a front-man, a dupe, a ruse or a puppet. He just seems more Milli Vanilli than all of that traditional stuff which would put him as the coordinator, or even as an active participant.
Now, don’t get me wrong – the previous definitions would apply to his band; and I could rightly agree if his band was called the “Malignant Narcissists“. Yes, that I could agree with. (more…)

“I’d always said it was a long shot,” Wilson says. “No, I didn’t expect to win.”
Still, he figured he’d have fun running, because he was fed up with what he called “all the shenanigans” at the Houston Community College System. As a conservative white Republican running in a district whose voters are overwhelmingly black Democrats, the odds seemed overwhelmingly against him.
Then he came up with an idea, an advertising strategy that his opponent found “disgusting.” If a white guy didn’t have a chance in a mostly African-American district, Wilson would lead voters to think he’s black. (more…)
It was our initial FOIA requests to the Miami Dade School Police Department which revealed the secret discipline and diversionary program Trayvon Martin was granted to avoid a criminal record. Specifically Trayvon Martin’s criminal conduct was hidden behind school discipline. Stolen jewelry was recorded as random ‘found items’ (the jewelry just intentionally placed in storage with no investigation), his possession of marijuana was similarly obfuscated, and all of the incident reports were intentionally falsified by officials and School Resource Officer, Daryl Dunn, to avoid the Criminal Justice system. It is all well documented with sworn affidavits from the police department HERE. No-one has ever been held to account – It is just too politically dangerous an issue. Well, apparently neighboring Broward County is also willing to jump on the diversionary bandwagon. This recent article outlines how Broward County wants to blur the lines of illegality in their efforts to avoid young black males being held criminally accountable for their behavior. MIAMI – One of the nation’s largest school districts has reached an agreement with law enforcement agencies and the NAACP to reduce the number of students being charged with crimes for minor offenses.
The agreement with Broward County Public Schools in Florida, which officials planned to announce Tuesday, is one of the first comprehensive plans bringing together district officials, police and the state attorney’s office to create an alternative to the zero-tolerance policies prevalent in many schools. It charges principals rather than school resource officers with being the primary decision makers in responding to student misbehavior.
The move is designed to cut down on what has become known as the “school-to-prison pipeline,” where students accused of offenses like disrupting class or loitering are suspended, arrested and charged with crimes.
Broward, the nation’s seventh largest district, had the highest number of school-related arrests in Florida in the 2011-2012 school year, according to state data. Seventy-one percent of the 1,062 arrests made were for misdemeanor offenses.
In this South Florida district and others across the country, minority students have been disproportionately arrested, sometimes for the same offenses their white peers received only a warning for. Nationwide, over 70 percent of students involved in school-related arrests or law enforcement referrals are black or Hispanic, according to U.S. Department of Education data. (more…)

(Via Chuck Todd of NBC News) President Obama said Thursday that he is “sorry” that some Americans are losing their current health insurance plans as a result of the Affordable Care Act, despite his promise that no one would have to give up a health plan they liked.
“I am sorry that they are finding themselves in this situation based on assurances they got from me,” he told NBC News in an exclusive interview at the White House.
“We’ve got to work hard to make sure that they know we hear them and we are going to do everything we can to deal with folks who find themselves in a tough position as a consequence of this.”
Obama’s comments come 10 days after NBC News’ Lisa Myers reported that the administration has known since the summer of 2010 that millions of Americans could lose their insurance under the law. (more…)
This one has the potential to launch like a rocket. It depends of whether Trenkle will spill the beans….. The Chief Information Officer for the Obamacare website, Tony Trenkle, never approved of site security before launch. Instead, his boss, Marilyn Tavenner, gave the authorization to proceed. Mr. Trenkle quit yesterday so you can only imagine what the backstory is to this political decision, forward at all costs. Just guessing – My hunch is the guy knew what was coming, was sending warnings, told his boss this is “NOT” ready; our platform is NOT secure etc. and she just told him they had no choice. These were political decisions.
[CBS NEWS] Tony Trenkle, the Obamacare official in charge of HealthCare.gov security efforts announced his resignation Wednesday, effective next week.
CBS News has learned that Trenkle, the Chief Information Officer for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), was originally supposed to sign off on security for the glitch-ridden website before its Oct. 1 launch, but didn’t. Instead, the authorization on September 27 was given by Trenkle’s boss, CMS administrator Marilyn Tavenner.
As CBS News reported Monday, security assessments fell behind and the website never had the required top-to-bottom tests. (more…)
