It’s interesting to see how really smart people define the persona of President Obama. Many psychological descriptives are generally discussed, assigned and presented for consideration by some insightful people. All of whom are far, far smarter than I.
But, after watching Dear Leader in action for 5+ years, most of the presented descriptions just don’t fully reconcile for me personally.
I just don’t see him as that smart.
Nor do I think he’s cognitively pathological, emotionally narcissistic, or other various types of [ insert your favorite behavioral science aspect here]. I just don’t see it.
President Obama is a front-man, a dupe, a ruse or a puppet. He just seems more Milli Vanilli than all of that traditional stuff which would put him as the coordinator, or even as an active participant.
Now, don’t get me wrong – the previous definitions would apply to his band; and I could rightly agree if his band was called the “Malignant Narcissists“. Yes, that I could agree with.
I just think the psychological descriptions better suit the people behind the ruse band, than the person representing the grunge itself. The drummer, Valerie Jarrett; The lead guitarist, Denis McDonough; Keyboards by Axelrod and Bass player Gibbs – THOSE folks all assembled together are accurately defined by all the aforementioned definitions.
But not Obama solo. He just sings.
He’s just an old fashioned multi-level ordinary. A lifetime lucky benefactor of affirmative action, who grew to become a useful “light skin, non-negro dialect“ front-man.
Now, he might be autistic, but he darned sure is not intellectual enough, under any form of definition I am familiar with, to be in the category of songwriter, and campaign manager, David Plouffe. He’s just not that good when alone or even slightly out of reach of his handlers to be considered of cognitive significance. He’s just not.
That’s why a perpetual Teleprompter is needed. I mean, good grief, he even took the teleprompter INTO the U.K House of Commons for goodness sake. Practice, practice, practice.
Milli Vanilli could simply “dance” and “lip sync” – Barack Obama can simply “orate” and “deliver speech“. Both were/are popular amid the masses, and no-one, especially the most ardent fans, were/are the wiser as it occurs.
And that’s where it stops. There is no analytical ‘there‘ there.
That also explains why he has no idea about what’s going on. IRS targeting conservatives; Health insurance eliminated for millions; NSA monitoring e-mails; Angela Merkel phone tapped; Death benefits lost for military during shutdown; Pending Obamacare website disaster, Just to name a few of the recent, “I did not know”.
“Knowing”? That’s Valerie and Denis’s job.
Obama’s not managing the band, he just rolls up to the venue to sing an all new sound to the American Audience.
The new genre’ is “Fundamental Change”. That annoying modern sound was spawned in the living room of Vernon Jarrett, Valerie’s dad, and his Chicago crew of like-minded usurpers.
I sincerely believe, when/if an honest biographical history is written, the comparisons between Milli Vanilli and President Obama will be brutally obvious. I also think that’s why David Axelrod, Rahm Emanuel, David Plouffe and Robert Gibbs left the band team after they successfully sold out every upcoming venue for the 2nd tour.
With all the tickets sold, and all the ticket buyers convinced to show up, there just wasn’t any need for the promoters any longer. Once the 2nd term was established, tenure achieved, what exactly was the downside to them leaving?
Seriously? The stadium is packed, the tickets are pre-sold and non-refundable, and who really cares if the show sucks. The audience has bought a ruse and the band ain’t coming back around for a 3rd tour. So, meh….
The revenue is generated. Shorten the sets, forget the optics, ignore the critics and just try to stay relevant enough to cash in on the royalties.
After all, the contracted royalties are from ‘other people’s money’, and the tour bus driver knows all the best golf courses.
