To anyone out there who may have written California off as a lost cause,  behold this group of young Marines in their monthly Faith Warrior service at the Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California.   It’s been shared nearly 400,000 times since it first debuted on Merrie Pardee Baldwin’s Facebook last September 15th.  Baldwin wrote, “Participatory worship.  I love how excited the men get to sing this song and the camaraderie.”

For the sixth year in a row, a massive fish kill has scientists scratching their heads. “We’re seeing this happen every August.” according to a marine biologist who requested anonymity, “It appears some sort of toxic bloom occurs at this point every summer. We’ve no clue as to the cause.”

(MarkLevin)…In recent weeks we have seen two columns by “conservative” columnist Ann Coulter about the current controversy over the Mississippi Senate race.  Allow me to finally reply to this opportunistic, money-grubbing Establishment hack masquerading as a conservative:
Ann, in your first piece on July 9, you condemned Senator Chris McDaniel for fighting against what is massive corruption and you slander his supporters as “clowns and nuts” and the “sore loser brigade” for backing him.  You detailed many campaigns where Republicans had elections outright stolen from them, namely Richard Nixon, John Thune, and Bob Dornan, who took the supposed high road and did not challenge the results.

Oy!  The big “Snoop Dogg-in-Chief” had a surprise waiting for him when he hit the money-rich environs of Silicon Valley last night.    Maybe those hipster cyberpunks –  (you know, the ones who can crack any code except the dress code) – finally had some kind of epiphany and realized just how spectacularly incompetent Obama really is?

If your children are old enough to be in college, they probably think the country they were born into is falling apart.  If you’re a Baby Boomer like myself, you know the country you were born into is already gone.  It’s a hard thing to thwart the general feeling of optimism shared by most Americans during a beautiful summer season.  But, if you stop and take a thoughtful assessment of the disasters currently befalling our world, perhaps you’ll see that the fall might be closer than you think.

(Townhall)…Germany in 2008 enthusiastically hosted candidate Barack Obama for his so-called “Victory Column” speech. Now, Germans suddenly sound as if they are near-enemies of the U.S. Chancellor Angela Merkel reportedly was furious that her cell phone was tapped by American intelligence agents. She just kicked the top CIA official out of Germany, further enraged that the U.S. had recruited at least one German official to provide intelligence on the German government. Polls show that Germans find Vladimir Putin’s Russian tyranny almost as popular as Barack Obama’s America.
Japan is becoming similarly frustrated with the U.S. It is rearming like crazy to confront an aggressive China. Both Asian powers apparently assume that Obama won’t guarantee the security of the Japanese as America had in the past. (more…)
