California Bar Owner Reaches Desperation Point – Blocks COVID Health Dept Enforcer, Confronts Police

(H/T Todd Starnes) Carlos Roman is the owner of a Bread & Barley restaurant in Covina, California, who reached his breaking point with health inspectors and COVID compliance officers when a public health dept. official ordered his restaurant to shut down.

[Facebook Video Here – Article HERE and HERE]

Mr. Roman decided if he was going to lose everything; if his employees were going to lose their livelihoods; if the system was going to destroy them under the weight of unilateral decrees and fiats; then he was going to block the health inspector from doing his job.

The police were called-in to deal with Carlos Roman’s act of defiance.  The situation within the video speaks for itself.  People are getting desperate… Acts of resistance are spreading. American workers and Main Street are being destroyed… Meanwhile congress wants to send hundreds of millions of taxpayer funds to foreign shores.  Think about it.

Many people talk of a foreboding sense. A sense that something is very close to erupting on the surface. I believe, and have said for months, the final eruption will come as a result of overreach by control authority in reference to COVID dictates. We are close.

While there is no current indication he died as a result of Ebola, he just returned from the ‘hot zone’, he was self-monitoring, and apparently he just collapsed and died.
Ilesanmi testing blood samplesKILLEEN, Texas – A neighborhood in a small town just outside Fort Hood in Texas was sealed off Tuesday after a soldier from the base was found dead in his yard.

Fort Hood officials say there is no indication of the Ebola virus disease, but medical tests are being conducted. A neighbor told KWTX that he saw the body at about 7:30 a.m. Tuesday.  (read more)

Whaaaambulance Alert – Kaci Hickox: "Stop calling me the Ebola Nurse"…

kaci hickox 2Ms. Hickox, the insufferable, delicate, ‘all about me’ wallflower, who returned to the U.S. then gave everyone the middle finger when asked to self-quarantine, has been very vocal. She wrote:

“I never had Ebola. I never had symptoms of Ebola. I tested negative for Ebola the first night I stayed in New Jersey governor Chris Christie’s private prison in Newark. I am now past the incubation period – meaning that I will not develop symptoms of Ebola.
I never had Ebola, so please stop calling me “the Ebola Nurse” – now!”

Via Canada Globe and Mail – […]  The woman [EBOLA NURSE] who became known in news headlines as “The Ebola Nurse” is now free to move around, after clearing the 21-day virus-free period. She [EBOLA NURSE] was interviewed this week as she [EBOLA NURSE] packed a trailer for her move across the state of Maine, to Freeport. (more…)

Ebola Rages On; African activists rage the West isn't doing enough

childrenslumsebolaAt 100 or more new reported cases a day
(and, obviously, an unquantified number of unreported cases) coupled with the deliberate “removal” of dead victims from the official tally, it is apparent that the Ebola outbreak continues to rage and is far from contained.
As has been mentioned here and elsewhere in the Realism Blogosphere Math Just Is.  As the Daily Mail UK reports, scores of orphaned children left to care for themselves after close contact and sustained exposure to a parent or other caregiver who has died from Ebola are  “ticking timebombs”.

The Media VS. Reality – Special Snowflakes Seek A More Leftist Locale…

To listen to the media versions of the Kaci Hickox story you might believe she is perceived as a celebrated heroine. However, the truth is fundamentally divergent. She is a visible personification of all things selfish, self-serving and smug; a pariah amid her own community.
As we shared last month: “at what cost do you want to fight – we the people”?
kaci hickox skype(MAINE) Nurse Kaci Hickox and her boyfriend are leaving Maine next week for parts unknown.
Hickox made national headlines last week when she fought efforts to quarantine her in New Jersey and Maine because she had just returned from treating Ebola patients in West Africa.  Kaci Hickox and her boyfriend, Ted Wilbur, say they will stay in Maine through Monday, when a state court order expires. Another front line medical worker in Ebola Zone dies

FREETOWN, SIERRA LEONE—A doctor in Sierra Leone has died of Ebola — the fifth local doctor in the West African nation to die of the disease, authorities said Monday.

The death of Dr. Godfrey George, medical superintendent of Kambia Government Hospital in northern Sierra Leone, was a blow to efforts to keep desperately needed health-care workers safe in a country ravaged by the deadly virus.
sierra-leone-ebolaSierra Leone’s health-care system was already fragile before the Ebola epidemic because of past conflict and a lack of resources. The country had two doctors for every 100,000 people in 2010, compared to about 240 doctors for the same number of people in the United States, according to the World Health Organization.

"Ebola Kaci" – Why Losing Rights Temporarily Is Prudent…

Kaci HickoxGreat article at Canada Free Press – […]  Mary Mallon, “the most dangerous woman in America” was born in Ireland and later worked as a cook for wealthy families in New York.
She was the first known carrier of typhoid fever in the USA, and although without any symptoms, she was still contagious and continued to spread the disease to at least 53 persons (who spread it to others), three of whom died.
It is thought she infected 50 others who died but it could not be determined since she changed her name so often. She refused to stop working as a cook and was confined to a hospital where she died 20 years later.
Mary worked as a cook from 1900 to 1907 in New York City area and within two weeks of her employment, residents developed typhoid fever. Then she moved to New York City where members of the family for whom she worked developed fever and diarrhea, and the laundress died.
Mallon then went to work for a lawyer; she quit after seven of the eight people in that household became ill. She took other positions in Long Island, and left a trail of infection everywhere. She always resigned when family members became ill. (more…)

Maine fails in legal bid to fully quarantine Nurse "Stompy Feet" Hickox

The erosion of state’s rights, and the triumph of optics over common sense continues:
