He points out that the Canadian government needs to have a serious talk with Canadians about how much trouble their economy is in. He knows the area of trade the US is interested in from them (critical minerals, etc).
He points out that the US grievances Trump has with Canada did not start with Trump. It goes back to Reagan. Every US President has told Canada they have these grievances. The only difference is that Trump wants to do something about it, and is.
