A few years later in 2015 the Wall Street Journal reported on a national federal database that was using Automatic License Plate Readers (APLRs) to capture and store the travel of millions of Americans {SOURCE}.
Now we fast-forward a decade and that federal database is now being exploited by local police around the nation to keep track of ordinary persons of interest to their community who travel outside their jurisdiction. This is where the Flock Cameras come into the discussion. WATCH:

I have always felt the concealed carry permit was a nose under the tent to identify how many weapons someone owns. I think that is a need to know basis.

In Constitutional Carry stayes, no concealed carry permit is required.
But you never list what kind of firearm you use when getting a concealed carry license. For that matter, even the weapon you shot to test for competency is never listed and can literally change the next day.

1. STOP a few hundred feet before the camera (so as to assure one is not in the field of view of camera)
2. Cover license plates
3. drive a few hundred feet beyond the camera (see 1. above)
4. uncover the license plates.
There are mechanical license plate flippers on the market. But they are illegal in many jurisdictions. These are inspired by the one Q installed on James Bond’s Astin Martin in Goldfinger.
At some point I expect some tech wiz will replace the license plate with an LCD screen that can change the display to any plate, any state, at any time.
Again, I reemphasize, these are illegal to use in many (maybe most) jurisdictions.

I live in a rural area of Minnesota and there are three of them nearby, and tons more on the streets in the nearby town. I drove past the two on a main highway yesterday and something looked different.
Someone had sliced the poles in half on both of them. No more cameras. I admit to laughing with delight. It made my day.
And what was weird was that it felt so different driving through there. I didn’t have that creepy feeling of being watched, because I no longer was.
Today must be my lucky day. Got pulled over around 2 pm going 30 in a 20 mph ,where u have those speedbumps every 200 feet. Soon as policeman pulled out I slowly pulled over. I also had no seatbelt on. As I sat in the car waiting for 4 or 5 minutes he finally came over and said no need to pull out licence and registration. Just slowdown and use seatbelt next time. As nice as a person could be.
