Please pray for President Trump that he can keep majorities in the House and Senate. Anything else is horrible and unthinkable.
Pray for blessings and encouragement for mothers of miscarried babies. Pray that their empty arms won’t be used by Satan as a foothold.
Please pray for my son Bruce and his family also for my sister for their increased faith in Christ, strength, wisdom and full healing.
For JWoo…I hear your prayers, getting ready for a crazy work weekend…we’ll talk soon…
Please pray for my son-in-law who is only 38 and facing a recent cancer diagnosis. He is a Navy veteran.
Dear Matthew,
In 2020 I was given 6 months to live with later stage cancer diagnosis.
I could not do chemo, or radiation (cell tower EMF microwave radiation caused my cancer
according to my radiation oncologist and primary care integrative physicians. My daughter
got the book, “Chris Beat Cancer” by 28 year survivor of cancer he was diagnosed with at
age 28, with only surgery, no chemo or radiation. I followed his protocol, and added
once weekly ivermectin/zinc, IV vitamin C followed by mHBOT treatment 1x month.
One Year Bible each year, and a 20 min. prayer walk to the neighboring park’s flagpole to
pray for our country most days. God is faithful, and has the way through. It is not found
in the “cancer temples” in my experience. Just like COVID and ivermectin, God forbid they
would stick their neck above the crowd to actually heal people, instead of giving them the
poisons that harm human life. Foods that heal (like Garden of Eden mostly raw pesticde
free fruits and vegetables, nuts and herbal teas, going back to wired tech (landline & ethernet)
have been a pathway back to life for me, feeling better than in the last 15 years.
Even though cancer was in 4 lymph nodes after surgery, from that date until now 6 years
later, there has been no evidence of cancer on bloodwork, MRIs, colonoscopies.

Blessings, and praying for healing for your dear son-in-law.
My son, too is Navy.
Please pray for my friend James, who is suffering a long stint of unemployment.
Please pray for my nephew, his family and especially his daughter who is mentally ill. The family is facing incredible difficulties in getting her proper treatment amid State agency dysfunctions.
Please say Prayers for 7 yr old named Spencer, has serious kidney disease. Thank you and God bless. LK.
Please pray for Col. “Barney” Barnum, USMC (Ret.) Medal of Honor recipient in Vietnam. He recently suffered a catastrophic fall. His injury may not be reversible. He is now facing a difficult recovery. Everyone who spends time with him knows he is uplifting and always encouraging. The ship just named after him launched in April and will now sail boldly forward, just like the Colonel.
Semper Fidelis.
Prayers on the way!
Please pray for my husband of 37 years (as of 10/1) to recover from a stroke he had last year. He is not making the progress that he thought he would and is getting discouraged. Thank you. (We have no children, so need help!
Hi Linda,
You may want to look into hyperbaric oxygen therapy,
or mHBOT (mild hyperbaric oxygen therapy). Have
read about some good results in stroke patients to help
regain functionality.
Prayers on the way!
Dear God, Please hear the prayers of your faithful here, there are so many who need your help. Please bring hope and healing to all, from illness to jobs, and protecting the health of the little ones….For with You, we know all things are possible. Amen.
✝️Amen
Amen🙏🏻🕊️
I am reposting this from the page a day or two ago so it can have visibility. Joan and Savannah have been through a nightmare. It’s still ongoing. Joan has documented much of it on this prayer page.
It broke my heart to read of their situation. Best I can tell she needs to buy time til she can find a job. If she can make it til she can find work……it would be life changing for both of them.
May God watch over them and provide for their needs.
I hope and pray I am not out of line in reposting this.

Folks, we need help. I’m sorry to ask and if this is forbidden – than Ad Rem – please delete my post. Kiddo is not healing properly and has residual cardiac issues. We are in process with Cardiology and Infectious Disease now. I have to formally ask for help please – where possible.
If you can’t help – that’s okay – maybe you can share our story with others who may be able to.
It’s pretty critical right now. The story is here at substack – and if you give there, Substack retains 10% plus a 3% stripe processing charge.
Or you can help through PayPal direct at my email address: [email protected]
Thanks guys – I’m sorry to ask – but I must do everything I can to care for my girl. I have to cry “uncle” on this one – I am at my wit’s end.

Greg, thanks for posting this.
➡️HOW /WHERE
do we send much needed
financial support
to our wonderful WOO aka: Joan❓
Also, blessings to you and your Bride💞
Greg, Must have had something in my eyes to miss
the how / where .
Got it!
Where is the PayPal link?
Per Woo written above
“Or you can help through PayPal direct at my email address: [email protected] “
Woo,
-💞
That is an email, not a direct link, I am confused.
It’s Joan’s email.
If one chooses to help her via PayPal that email address will get it to her.
Log into PayPal.
Click on send.
There will be a space that says “name, user name, email, mobile”.
Put her email address in that box.
When you continue, use the friends and family option, and it will get to her. I know this for a fact.
If anyone can help them, they would certainly appreciate it.
Thank you so much! Sorry to be so dense. It says it went through, I hope it helps, continued prayers for them both.
Thank you dear friends ❤️. You are an incredible family. Thanks for surrounding us during this time. Blessings. We got her appts moved up… infectious disease this Weds and the echocardiogram on 9/29. Hope to know more soon.
✝️🙏🏻

I hope the infectious disease appointment goes well today, Joan.
Hi everyone,
I am here, I am here, I am here!!! Mark me PRESENT on the attendance list, please!
What a haul these past few days has been.
Met with Infectious Disease today. He ordered more cardiac blood tests and a metabolic panel that should have been ordered before but was missed. Some of those results are already back. Rheumatic Fever is still very much in play. Another key indicator came back positive and it is a significant one.
Savannah is apparently a “rare case.” Must come with all that red hair. So where are we?
The Echocardiogram on September 29th is the most important test of all. It will tell us how much cardiac involvement there is. The doctor will not prophylactically treat for Rheumatic Fever until those results are back. He said it could be RF – or it could be an “autoimmune phenomenon” following her Group A Streptococcal infection and post sepsis.
If it is autoimmune, there is a treatment for that. He has increased her Ibuprofen to 400 mg three times a day in the meantime to fight the inflammation. If it is Rheumatic Fever – he was careful about saying too much – maybe to keep me calm. From what I have read, it would be very dangerous for Savannah to contract strep again… and considering strep is pretty common… treatment could consist of antibiotic injections every three to four weeks for years to come… possibly up to ten years… to protect her heart. It is fairly serious.
Infectious Disease is now alerted and being much more proactive in identifying what’s going on. She is being closely monitored by the right specialists and her Infectious Disease doctor will remain the primary point person. Early identification changes the long-term picture significantly. The echocardiogram on the 29th will tell us how much, if any, structural involvement there is – and from there the doctors will have everything they need to build her treatment plan.
We are taking this one step at a time and keeping her calm and limiting exertion.
Who knew strep was so dangerous? Not me. Now everything feels dangerous to me.
I know this is all confusing… and knowing what to do about it is equally hard, but we are in good hands and the right tests are happening. We meet with Infectious Disease again on October 2nd after the Echo results from the 29th come in.
For those who have reached out to help us – I can never adequately express our gratitude. There is simply nothing that conveys how my heart is so burdened with thanks. How do I thank anyone for helping to save my daughter? I just can’t express how I have no pride or ego left. I need to write more on Substack as there is a lot to tell – but I am deeply fatigued and trying to organize our time. I am not sleeping much still.
I’m glad it looks like you are getting good effort from the medical team and that they seem competent. May you both get the answers and solutions you need.
Get what sleep you can Joan……it matters.
Praying for both of you, and praying for your entire situation, including having the right job become available.
What a nightmare you’ve both been through, and are still going through.
Thank you for the new thread. Praying for each and every post/person’s request. Lord please be with us all as we navigate this life through the good and the bad, help us to learn our lessons w/grace, dignity, love, and that we can be your humble servants to serve you w/gratitude.
Amen.
Dear friends,
We are SAFE for October – I cannot thank you enough! We have fulfilled the obligations that are known to us for now. PRAISE GOD that He Will Not Allow us to faint or stumble.
I should say – I did poke the old devil in the eyes a few times – I’m not sorry!
Pray against any weapon formed against us. I forbid the devil from attempting to take our lives, our shelter, our security – and even our pets. Our little Harold is now developing a mass on his back – as if there isn’t something MORE to deal with.
We now wait for Echocardiogram on 9/29 and the Infectious Disease follow up from all the current results coming in on 10/2nd. Pray we get to the bottom of this and start whatever treatment or prophylactic regimen is required to keep Savannah’s heart SAFE and beating strong for a good, long time.
She is in good Spirit and we marveled the other day at the return of her curls. I know – it’s a simple dumb thing – but compared to her pictures from when she was found verses now – she looks so healthy and strong. Just have to get the insides matching the outside.
God’s blessings on you and yours. Much love to you, dear friends.
🎶 You raise me up
She is looking healthy and happy!
JWoo, Savannah looks wonderful!
I am so happy and grateful to God and all His Angels here on Earth, both known and unknown who must be working overtime to have brought about the rescue of this young woman.
This is an on-going Miracle! Praise the Lord!
Happy news! Thank you Lord.
I am requesting a united seven day prayer for our nightmare healthcare system that barry and botox created for our country. Each and every day I am stunned by the experiences I encounter due to insurance, electronics, rules/regulations, incompetence, and administrative nonsense. It is all wrong on so many levels and next to impossible to navigate anymore. The insurance changes that are happening right now are going to harm so many. Check your mail carefully.
I am so sorry for the people suffering that are being yanked around, having to wait MONTHS for an appointment or follow up appointments only to be farmed out to yet another Dr. that is another one booked solid. I am sorry for the people battling insurance and prior-authorization, I am so sorry for the people that have to go 3 and 4 layers deep to speak to a person that can actually help. I am so sorry for the pharmacy employees, and the people that can’t get their medicines, or afford them.
I am so sorry for the competent health care workers that are trapped in essentially not being allowed to do their jobs properly. I am so sorry for the elderly that are alone trying to get care by using electronics that really do not make life easier, just more complicated. I am so sorry for anyone, young or old, that doesn’t have an advocate to help them get to where they need to be and/or have support/help. I am so sorry for the lack of compassion and empathy that no longer seems to exist except for the occasional health worker that still has it.
Something has to be done and I really don’t have faith that this monster of a machine can or will be fixed in the remainder of my life time. It is heartbreaking because at one point our healthcare was fantastic. It has reached the point of insanity on so many levels. I don’t know where OZ and RFK Jr are, surely they have to be aware people are dying and suffering unnecessarily.
I know I am not alone in battling for my health and receiving proper care. I hear and read stories every single day. Please pray heaven will bring down an iron fist and fix this mess w/positive changes quickly, not political promises. It really needs to be rebuilt from the ground up. Please pray for all concerned, and remember if you have your health you have everything. Enjoy it while you can because your health can change in a split second.
Thank you for your prayers!
Private equity ownership, be they for profit or not for profit hospitals…are a big part of the inpatient problem. The lust for money.
May God protect us.
I will join in that 7 day prayer dear friend. It is timely for many of us. Big hugs and thank you, friend 🧡 Praying for the winning of battles on many fronts.
Good morning, y’all.
Update on my friend, Kaye, who is suffering from broken heart syndrome among her many other health and personal problems.
I do not think things are going well. Kaye is not making the progress we had hoped and much of this is due to the ongoing stress in her life. She allowed her mentally ill, adult son to move in with her against all advice. He is a dangerous and unpredictable man who once tried to kill Kaye by firing a rifle at her inside her own home! He wants to isolate Kaye from her friends and is trying to force Kaye’s cousin, Becky out of the house. Becky has been a Godsend and in fact Kaye would most likely be dead without her.
Things came to a head a few nights ago when the police had to be called to remove the son from the home. Of course, he only left for the night and it will take legal action to remove him, permantly.
I fear his actions when that happens.
We went to the GI dr yesterday, 9/24. Had some labs and scheduled upper and lower GI for Oct 9.
As soon as we got back to Kaye’s house, she dropped to the kitchen floor in a dead faint with a BP of 94/57. It has been spiking so high, we feared she would have a stroke.
Her pulse ox was 97% and her bp rose to a more normal reading in a few minutes but this scared the heck outa me, especially when she admitted she has fainted “four or five times”.
Kaye is far from being out of the woods. If she will not put herself first for the first time in her life I am very sceptical she will recover.
One other thing causing such stress is Kaye’s 7yr old granddaughter, Layla. Layla has lived with Kaye from birth, but due to Kaye’s on-going health problems custody of the child was transferred to another family member and now the child is back with her bio mother and the mother’s live-in boyfriend. I think this was the final blow to Kaye’s heart and mind.
I know y’all are busy praying 24/7/365 and we see proof right here on these pages that prayer does work. I thank you all and add my own prayers to yours.
Many thanks to you all.
you are a wonderful friend, TM. I have found that when you knock on any door these days, the door opens, only to reveal swirling chaos inside. it is heartbreaking. many years ago, there was a Godly old woman in the neighborhood. on her way to church each sunday, as she walked to the bus, she would hold her hand high toward Heaven, asking God, aloud, to bless each house as she passed by, and those within. I try to offer earthly help, but, also am trying to be that old woman.
I think the vision of the woman walking and praying is an aspiration I, too, wish to achieve. Once I get all this angry pushed out of my heart. I’m confounded by the dismantling of our social services put in place to protect people.
Lord, help us to fight these battles.
I get the anger part, woo. much is in shambles. I started asking God to help me pray for my enemies. it came slowly to my lips, but it has helped. you are one of the best warriors I know. I would want you as a mother and friend. we love you and look to you and know you have already overcome. xoxo.
Linwik,
Sorry I didn’t see your post until now.
Please know… that we may be virtual, but I’m certainly your friend. I am serious as can be about our Heavenly home being an amazing neighborhood of our Treepsters. Can’t wait for that homecoming.
Things have been busy here and I’m trying to herd cats.
I agree with you 100% about praying for our enemies. There’s a special kind of surrender to God when I can let go and defer justice to The Lord. Please know… if I carry the banner of “warrior”.. it doesn’t mean it’s always easy.
Had a real tough time yesterday feeling like I was swinging at the air all around me being attacked. I realize I just wear myself out. It was not pretty yesterday and a friend gently chided to take a break, take a bath, take a chill pill.
I don’t do pills unless they’re supplements, but she lovingly sent me some retinal cream to pamper myself. I laughed and told her that “I earned all my wrinkles and that they were merely Truth in advertising.”
I will never die my graying hair or fight against my wrinkles.
I had to take a step back, drop the fight, and take Savannah to a small park near us where our town was holding the last live concert of the season.
They are free, bring your lawn chair and it’s really nice if you get there really early… sit outside.. and you can distance yourself from folks and just sit on the periphery… near the cars to make an early escape.
We could only stay about an hour into the performance before Savannah got really tired and her back started hurting… but I really needed “a way out” for a few moments to feel like a normal human being again.
Everything is so stressed… so please don’t think for a minute that I have it all together 100% of the time. Yesterday, I just pled for some semblance of normal.
It’s so much better when we can just hand our enemies over to God. Put them in the “God Box” and leave them alone.
Much love to you and our Treeper peeps. You are very often the best parts of my day when I can take a break.
Amen, linwik.
linwik, that is the sweetest image!
Bless old women. All of us.
Praying! You mention a few of the key characteristics of a ‘domestic abuser’…controlling access to friends, isiolation etc…
Kaye’s #1 priority is her own health and wellbeing. I will be blunt–having shot at her once…he will be capable of doing/trying it again. And anyone else in the building could be a target, as well, if the son perceives a threat to his own ‘survival’ or situation.
I understand the challenges involved, especially legal stuff with getting the son out…things I ponder…is it her own house, legally?…is Kaye old enough to involve agencies for the elderly? Or domestic violence organizations? Does the state have grandparents laws that prevent families from keeping the grandkids from visiting grandparents? Praying for her broken heart….
Catholic Patron Saints of Families…St. Rita, St. Monica…St. Eugene Mazenod for families in crisis…
St. Rita also linked to ‘impossible cases’.
Of course, St. Anne, Mother of the Mother of our Lord…St. Joseph, guardian of the holy family and invoked for guidance, protection and provision…
Am praying to the Saints…
I really didn’t mean to restate practically the exact same things… but you are right… there are some rights here that Kaye should have to keep her peace and protect her joy.
Let’s pray those factors are still in place… somewhere in the world… and that they would work for her. ❤️
Hi, Aggiegirl. Yes, it is her home, legally. She had to fight in probate court to keep her late partner’s grasping family from taking it.
Kaye is disabled and in her mid 60s.
Her son is already in trouble for domestic violence and Kaye, the ever-loving Mother is reluctant to see him go back to jail. Which is where he should be.
Kaye’s horrible childhood and marriages to violent men who beat and abused her have left her with PTSD and an overwhelming desire and frantic need to please, no matter if it is to her own detriment.
20 years ago Alabama grand parents had no rights. I don’t know what the laws are now.
Kaye has been under psychiatric care for many years, has regular counseling and takes meds to help control depression, etc.
She simply is unable or unwilling to put herself first.
But she must. At least for a time.
Truli,
I don’t know enough on these matters and realize we are contending with many, many broken systems.
Would Kaye consider a restraining order on her son? How are social services in your area and would a call to Adult Protective Services be useful?
If he is not on the mortgage… he just needs to be booted out and the police called and he be legally trespassed from the property.
By all means, keep cousin there with her… and you all must protect your peace at any cost.
Could there be some visitation established between Kaye and her Grand? Some states are quite compatible with grandparent rights. Even something simple as having a weekly lunch date with Nan may improve her Spirit.
My dear friend… I’m praying with you to uphold Kaye. In Jesus’s Healing and Saving Name, AMEN
Hi, JWoo.
A restraining order is worth exactly the paper it is printed on, though I have urged her to get one.
The home is owned by Kaye, free and clear.
As her son has been living there for a time and receiving mail, according to the police who came to the home he must be legally evicted.
I don’t know a thing about social services here but will do some checking.
Thank you for suggesting APS. I had not thought of that but could be very useful.
Regarding visitation with Layla, she visited nearly every weekend, holiday and most of the summer for the year she lived with her great aunt.
Now that bio-mom is out of jail and off probation, the courts returned the child to her. The live-in boyfriend has a 16yr old daughter with a car so Layla is very excited to be back with mom and have a big sis to go joyriding with. Discipline is lax, unlike at Kaye’s so of course Layla wishes to visit less.
I thank you and Kaye thanks all of yoh for prayers.
I believe she would be dead without them.
Quick update on Kaye.
After the visit to GI dr on thursday, the ofc called fri am and told Kaye to go immediately to the er where they were waiting for her. Labs showed her sodium level so depleted she was on the verge of seizures and possible brain damage or even death!
See, once again God has intervened.
She was placed on an IV and it was decided to keep her for 24hrs.
During this time she was bombarded with questions and due to some of her answers she is now on suicide watch!
We have to laugh. What else can we do?
I spoke with her an hour ago and she sounds great. Taking everything in stride and making jokes about her paper nightgown, which is all the clothing she is allowed.
I absolutely believe in my heart all of your prayers are in play here.
Your prayers have saved and continue to save her.
I, we cannot ever thank you enough!
You are just the best people.
Oh Truli!
You know… a vitamin or mineral deficiency can do terrible things to our mind and body. Not only is she getting much needed care… but her hospitalization has given you the inroad you need to discuss her situation with her son with a social worker at the hospital. As her POA you have the right to do that.
I am not convinced that receiving mail at a location gives a person automatic rights to live there. All that’s needed is a “fear for one’s life” and a trespass order. That’s it. A documentation and legal paper trail of criminal behavior.
He’s not on the deed. He doesn’t pay on the mortgage or to live there. He doesn’t have rights.
He lost any rights by assaulting her. She owes him nothing. She has the legal high ground and a police officer can’t take that away from her.
You are right… a Restraining Order means little to a criminal… but it is a legal bind to a police officer… and it is a final warning to stay away from her. The police officers have to act on a court order… so get one.
If Kaye doesn’t file a restraining order… then maybe her cousin living there will. If Kaye doesn’t have the mental capacity to do it for herself… the cousin could do it for herself… and protect Kaye by proxy??? Except Kaye may get angry at the cousin of she knows about it and refuses to agree to it, but those women should be protected and not isolated from one another.
Father God, I pray that You Are Protecting Kaye and her cousin right now from this threat. Father, bless this man away from them and may he learn a better way to live without taunting and threatening. Please work with the doctors to stabilize Kaye and give her the supplements needed to restore her mind and will to live. It does no good for anyone’s heart to be constantly under threat. In Jesus’s Holy and Saving Name, AMEN
Thank you, JWoo.
Kaye talked to a psychiatrist and he does not think she is a threat to herself and will lift the pysch hold.
Why would she have agreed to go to hospital otherwise?
But we know the hospital must err on the side of caution.
She likely will go home today, Sunday, or tomorrow if all remains stable.
The times that they would be lax could be catastrophic – so I am glad they err’d on the side of caution.
Prayer Warrior Treeper Friends,
Tuesday morning 9/29 is the Echocardiogram and Friday, October 2nd is the follow up with Infectious Disease. The ID doctor is calling Savannah a “rare” case and frankly… it’s starting to “get to me” all the hospital visits, the blood draws, the scans. I had a little breakdown this week – and really just wanted to run away from it all.
A friend started talking about the miscarriage and it hit me really hard that loss – I don’t think I was emotionally ready for that conversation. I lost a baby during my marriage at 24 yo on my birthday and to hear of Savannah miscarrying twins on her birthday – to hear my friend say “You could have been a Grandma” was just like being hit by a truck. I can tell it’s really affecting Savannah. Savannah is really good with kids and I am afraid we are not even beginning to mourn yet. Too much “crisis intervention” and too little time to breathe or reflect.
And maybe “reflecting” isn’t a good thing – because there is a lot of anger I am harboring. Things I can’t control or reconcile and serious wounds that I’m not sure how long it will take to heal. Maybe it’s best to pack those away for now and deal more in “what can be done” physically rather than feelings and emotions. There’s no putting spilled milk back into the bottle – so what good does fretting do?
So – shaking all that off and setting the distractions aside – we have a hurdle to pass this week. I am anxious that the Echocardiogram will find something wrong – and I am afraid on the other hand – it won’t find anything and we will have no answers to this chest pain that is radiating into her arms and into her back.
Please pray it’s “simple” and treatable quickly and effectively and as I prayed for this entire time I’ve shared with you – I PRAY NO LONG TERM SIGNIFICANT EFFECTS ON SAVANNAH going into her lifetime.
I need a return to “normal”. I need a job. I need this for my own mental health and I need for her to feel safe, feel well, and have a sure path of direction that she can find an occupation and sense of confidence and self-esteem.
She needs people – but they need to be people who encourage her and don’t create a pull back into her former life on the street. A recent NGO we spoke with has a support group for her – but it consists of women who are still living one foot in faith and one foot in the sex industry. They try “not to judge” but I see real concerns in this support group – especially as these women are a bit older and could easily become a “mentor” figure to Savannah and I don’t want her easily swayed.
She so wants to help people – but I have told her she can’t help anyone – until she herself is stable and sure-footed.
It’s a fine line between being the charge of a concerned parent verses being an independent, critically thinking young woman. She still needs much guidance. And I will admit that I am beyond exhausted. This is not easy and none of this is easy to look at or to be associated to. It is the very worst of our society and we must do better as a community and have a more legitimate infrastructure to combat exploitation.
Pray that I will listen intently to The Lord for what He Wants me to do – and what my future occupation looks like. I so want it FULLY TO SERVE THE LORD.
Continuing to pray for you all – and for the healthcare system we are so deeply relying on. Much love.
Check this out, Woo.

I LOVE her. I read her and Mark’s first book in one sitting and it forever changed me and my understanding of the world… and exposed me to things that made too much sense and made me question proximity in my life.
I believe Cathy truly has the answers for healing.. but for me… right now… it is hard to settle down and read. I’ve been taking my book while I donate plasma but that ones a tough read on dying with grace. It’s my neighbor’s daughter’s book… so I am compelled to read it for understanding. My friend calls the writer’s mother.. my “angel of death”… and I need to steer clear of her. Ugh.
It’s called “The Hardest Peace” by Kara Tippetts and there was a movie made about her also.
Kara’s mother couldn’t have come into my life at a worse time.
If I could reach Cathy… she’s definitely a person I would pursue for counsel with all this. I wrote to her once before when I was catching on to ask the mind control with Savannah.
Prayers for you Woo. Had a five year cancer battle with a family member while my brother went missing among other troubling circumstances.
The praying helped, God is always close and sends help.
Some social workers offer respite help, hospitals know.
Couldn’t read, think or sleep. God provided strength.
Feeling… then “you know”… I’m so sorry you went through all that. I wonder how long it took you to heal… if you ever fully did. 💔
I’ve not found one social worker worth their salt. They’re too busy playing with their pronouns.
I like the young lady that meets with Savannah weekly from Ascent 121 but it’s only one time a week and feels very “light”… meaning I think kiddo needs something more intensive… and for goodness sake… where are the other parents cobbling their children back together again????
I know they’re out there somewhere.
To JWoo, Savannah, Truli and your friend, LMGA and all the other treepers who need prayers that do not openly ask us.. Yesterday at church I had an overwhelming desire to pray for you all. I went down to the alter, knelt and prayed and wept hard for you all. I am not ashamed of it and will do it again and again. My two very good friends also sat and prayed with me and also wept. I am an Apostolic Pentecost “holy rollers” as some call us ☺️, and very proud of it and we are intense prayer warriors. I love you all and you all are on my prayer list permanently.
I just needed to let you all know how I am feeling for you all. XOXO
Thank you so much for sharing that story, it has lifted my spirits on this Monday afternoon. I sincerely appreciate your prayers, care and concern, and love for us all! It is nice to hear we are on your permanent prayer list! I LOVE Prayer Warriors! I love praying at the altar.
I believe your prayers were heard. I slept fairly well last night and today feel almost rested. My ankle wasn’t on fire, first time in a long while I have woken up w/out it in severe pain.
At my church they add you to the list for four weeks and then remove the name. Some of us at this church have chronic ongoing issues/illness/life situations that need positive answers. I wish they would leave us on the list so we don’t have to continually have to ask, it makes me feel needy/greedy, or something. Once our situations have improved we can ask to be removed? I don’t know, it is just how they do it.
Big hugs and prayers to you Patthenavybrat, thank you!
Pat, thank you. You must have sensed the intense challenges that I was feeling… as well as our other dear sister and brothers here. Tomorrow is her echo day and I’m weary. But we know this is the path we are forced to walk and we just want to get some answers. Prayer is so powerful and we witness here how God hears our intercession for one another and how those prayers are answered. Thank you for your passionate pleas on our behalf and listening to Your Spirit that drives you. We love you, too, dear friend… and there is no way I could have survived this without you all. Please thank your dear friends too. ❤️
JWoo, I wish I could do more than pray and hold you and Savannah in my heart.
I feel like I carry y’all around in my pocket to keep you close.
I continue to offer prayers for you both and for all here.
Much love to you and your beautiful girl. 💕
Much love to you, too, friend. Forgive my delay in response. ❤️
Praying for tomorrow to be a good experience w/some good answers.
My Dearest Prayer Warriors!!
I just spoke to Kaye and got the best news!
The house dr just gave her the latest bloodwork and ekg results and things look really good.
Her heart is functioning at about 90%. 90%! Probably better than mine! Lol.
Sodium levels normal and so far holding steady.
Still adjusting bp meds as bp still fluctuating some but not as wildly.
She sounds great! Started crying with relief, of course. That’s my Sis.
God has heard your prayers and has answered in a most profound way.
I praise and thank Him and all of you. 🙏💖
This is AMAZING!
GOD IS SO GOOD AND MERCIFUL AND TRUE AND FAITHFUL!
HE IS THE LOVER OF OUR HEARTS AND THE AUTHOR AND CREATOR OF EVERY GOOD WORK.
World without end.
Many thanks, JWoo.
I look forward to more good news re Savannah.
Truli, thank you for the great news about Kaye. I will continue to pray for her and you. God is so good!
Thank you Heavenly Father for hearing our humble prayers to love and heal those who need it, and to protect with your guardian angels. Continue to keep us all under your protective, guarding and loving hands in Jesus Holy name, Amen.
Pat, I just have no words to express my gratitude to God and all of you wonderful Treepers.
Great news! Thanks for the update, will continue to pray for you both.
Thank you, Leave. I hope you are well.
You have done such a great job praying for Kaye, I’m going to ask for prayers for my granddaughter, next.
Praying for your granddaughter that whatever her needs are will be given.
Lifting your granddaughter for her unspoken needs and for your relationship growth. ❤️
Today is Savannah’s Echocardiogram. Infectious Disease follow up Friday. More cardiac blood work came in over the weekend. It substantiates both auto-immune caused by the Strep sepsis – and Rheumatic Fever. She’s a rare case – I guess I could have told the doctor that – as she has always been “rare”. I tried to explain the medical aspect of this here if you want to read it for understanding – tried to keep it simple – but I feel like I am earning a medical degree.
Thanks for your prayers. A lot is going on and I won’t update again until we have some definitive results – diagnosis and prognosis. Depending upon how this looks – her next thing would be to have a Rheumatologist assigned to her case. We are in deep need of a Primary Care Physician who has experience with this sort of diagnosis.

Prayers up, Joan.
Thanks my brother ❤️
LOL! I have always been rare, it isn’t an easy way to go through life. Continued prayers for you and Savannah, and that the perfect PCP will arrive.
Yes, Rare is a gift and a burden…lol.
How are you feeling? Are matters improving on your end?
Lots of pain, see the doc about another sgy on the 15th, and the rest is still an unknown stressful cluster. Frustrating and exhausting w/some positive good things here and there. I know you know the syndrome. I am grateful for the good.
Indeed it can be a gift and a burden.
BIG PRAISE REPORT!
We have great news… Savannah’s echocardiogram came back normal meaning no structural damage to her heart. Also she does not have rheumatic fever but there is something going on auto immune wise that was triggered from all this. We are being referred to Rheumatology as this seems outside the scope of infectious disease. This does not explain Savannah’s chest pain and radiation into her arms and back. ID has ordered a chest CT scan that should also cover her back and we do that Monday and wait for an opening with rheumatology.
Savannah was in tears in the parking lot not understanding why the pain… but we have to believe that her body inflammation is just out of the skillset of ID. Dr Misra is just calling it an unknown phenomena.
No treatments offered and no limitations so we will start with some easy going weights for her upper body strength.
35-40 years ago I was 1) taken by ambulance to the hospital on one occasion because of “heart attack” symptoms; radiating pain; and, 2) sent for EKG on 2-3 occasions over the decades because of “heart attack” symptoms. (Absolutaely presented as myocardial infarction) Finally asked my primary if this goofball stuff could be stress-related, and she said, “Yes. But that does not mean it’s not a heart attack, so be careful how you handle it”. (I was just used to telling my husband, “Oh, it’s all right. It’ll stop.” And it always did. Finally, I realized that if I ever did have a fatal heart attack, the last thing he would hear from me would be, “It’s ok. I’ll be fine.”)
So – asked my primary if there was some way I could tell the difference. She said, “Yes. Press your fingers directly into the painful area. If that makes it hurt more, that means it’s a muscle spasm.” So, I’ve been doing that ever since.
Bottom line(s):
*I have found ways to manage and recover from the pain episodes. They last anywhere up to 30 minutes. Not fun. And I NEVER want anyone to SEE IT HAPPENING, because they WILL assume I’m having a heart attack….and we’re off to the races.
*When an attack happens, I know to take a look at what I’ve been dealing with or thinking, or not dealing with and not thinking through. IOW, identify what triggered this.
*What are the symptoms of “stress”? what’s happening? I have concluded that when I have physical symptoms that I CAN trace to stress, it just means my system is on overload, and it’s spilled over into my body. AND OUR BODIES WERE NEVER DESIGNED TO HANDLE THAT. So our bodies respond with pain, crying out for relief from what brought the consequences of the overload.
I have a self-motto now – for several years: SAFTE. Pronounced “safety”. Stay Away From The Edges.
The edges of what? My own very real limits (how much I can actually do). The edges of my own boundaries (how far I do I invite/allow others to come in). SAFTE, Sharon! Cuz you know what happens if you don’t.
First of all, you don’t “have to believe” anything, Joan. You choose what to think and what to believe, as we always do in our poor human form.
Secondly, why must you immediately “start with some easy-going weights”? STOP. REST.
A couple of weeks ago, my friend and neighbor was visibly frustrated because his echocardiogram came back normal, and he literally said, “I wanted there to be something the doctor could write a prescription for”. Well, as much as we complain about big pharma, that kind of of thinking is their lifeblood.
You can start with easy-going weights on November 10. Or December 3.
As I have read everything you’ve written, my heart goes out to you because I’ve been on the very same circular, anxiety-producing and exhausting treadmill you are on – my specifics were different, but I recognize the treadmill.
Apparently, as I understand your writing, the majority of what is happening is part and parcel of the consequence of Savannah’s choices 18 months ago or so. And now, I’m not “blaming Savannah”, but I have learned from Scripture, from the Spirit, and it has been illustrated by my own life, that mercy and shelter in the Lord Himself does not always eliminate consequences. I am living with both personal and family consequences that will continue as long as I live. And recognizing that fact drives me deeper into the mercy and provision of my dear Savior.
Well, enough plain-speaking from me. Sometimes my plain speaking is helpful and sometimes it’s just annoying overload so sift what I say and take what is useful.
Be gentle with yourselves and with each other. STOP. And REST.
If you trust the doctors for your care in this impossible medical system we have, then trust them. It would have been horrible if they had started treating Savannah for something that is not wrong.
Hello Sharon,
Thank you for writing. I’ve shared with Savannah and SAFTE is very good advice. She had an episode at the dinner table this evening, did the finger press and it did not hurt more.
But it hurt enough for her to need to catch her breathe and raise up in the chair and she said it radiated down her back.
Fortunately, we have the CT scan of her chest scheduled for this Monday… so it will be fast. I am not certain that’s “an answer”… but I guess it is a “rule out” method.
Personally if it’s auto immune, I would like to see what a dose of steroids would do to see if it “interrupts” this onslaught.
When she first came home, she had a hard time sleeping in her bed and would sleep in the floor.
I’ve no idea what this is now.
Speaking to the penalties of sin… absolutely no one, and I mean no one… deserves what happened to her and what she experienced. She was mislead as easily as any of us could be… and many of us have been…. if we were honest to admit it.
There was no one more hurt by what happened with her… than me… but I’m also fully aware about spiritual warfare and that this was a relentless attack.
I’m not explaining away my poor daughter in some defense with you… but I think we should all be careful about thinking we know the justice of sin. That’s a God thing… and I’m not God.
I’m just trying to love her and help her heal. I have my moments when I want to be angry and scold her for her choices… but i think too… how it would feel if the roles were reversed.
What I know… is that my daughter was always loving, compassionate, a prayer warrior, and she protected the weaker around her. She did that, too, while being exploited. It’s why when the counterfeit came in and overtook her… I knew something was terribly wrong… and if I listened to “authorities”… i would have disengaged and given up on her. To that, I say ABSOLUTELY NOT! and NEVER!
Please, Sharon… I’m not angry at all about what you said… but no one should give excuses for evil to attack and say the victim “had it coming”. Until we are the victim and we’re doing the tripping.
But for the grace of God, go I. If it were us… and we were broken… what embrace and reception would we want?
Thank you for your advice… I really appreciate it and I’m glad you wrote. Much love to you and blessings. ❤️ 🙏
“Speaking to the penalties of sin… absolutely no one, and I mean no one… deserves what happened to her and what she experienced. She was mislead as easily as any of us could be… and many of us have been…. if we were honest to admit it.”
I apologize for any misleading thing: I have been misled and deceived. Because of the great mercy of God, I have not suffered the penalties of sin, and I never will because of the astounding work on the cross. I spoke of the consequences of sin which need to be distinguished from the penalty of sin.
She should never be scolded for her choices and I did not suggest that she should. Neither will I explain away (or expose) my “poor sons” and the devastations that have occurred as a result of their life choices.
Well, this illustrates the dangers of speaking plainly, and I appreciate the reminder. Lesson learned. I never said or suggested the victim had it coming. Please do not twist what I plainly said and did not say. I would appreciate that very much.
I’m really glad you didn’t have a heart attack and could learn to manage the symptoms. I hope this will be the same for us. This is uncharted territory for us.
I’m sorry if my response sounded harsh. Unintentional. I’m really tired and maybe not communicating well.
My apologies and please don’t stop giving advice. I believe the wisdom shared herein helps more people then just the recipient. The silent readers too.
Blessings, Sharon
the peace that passes all understanding upon you, savannah, and us all. God with us.
Amen and thank you, linwik
Good morning, JWoo – no problem! Have a good day!
compassion and truth. best medicine a friend can give. definition of a friend. TY, sharon.
Joan . . . I’ve been reading. your posts for awhile now (since before the BLESSED day you found Savannah!) and I’ve been looking for how I might assist you and her.
I saw my Husband through a slow death from Cancer and lots of good years (through the Naturopath coaching we soaked up). His life was GREATLY extended by doing various very healthy protocols (that the Oncologists and Lung Doctor were not thrilled about and gave us lectures about 🙄 ).
Most ALL of doctors have a practice and that’s what they do: They PRACTICE on each of us who let them.

Anyway, one of my thoughts is that her Vitamin D3 level should be maintained at 60-80 ng/ml throughout the year. The DOSE needed to keep that Blood Level varies GREATLY from peson to person.
Though I was VERY sick a lot in my early and earlier years, I’ve not been sick in close to 25 years. I attribute it to a lot of things, and my Vitamin D BLOOD level being maintained between 60-80 ng/ml is the MOST important in my opinion.
One other thing that could do something to IMMEDIATELY reduce her pains is SOAKING in unscented Epsom Salts. The 6-pound bag of Dr. Teal UNscented (fragrance-free) is my favorite; sold at Walmart, BJ’s, and Costco for around the same price.
Here’s my recipe for using the Epsom Salts:
1/2 the Bag (3 pounds) in Water as HOT as She Can Stand it
20 minutes soak or more
Since our Scalp, Hands, Feet soak up the most, be SURE to at least get all 3 in that water for even a few seconds. Then spend the rest of the time soaking the main part of the body (and for sure her shoulders, arms, back, legs, etc.)
Have a bottle of water nearby (some people say it can be dehydrating; I’ve never experienced that).
Have a FAN blowing to keep the hot of the water from being overwhelming in the air of the room.
Don’t put ANYTHING else in the bath (just the Epsom Salts and the water).
When I’ve been really in pain, I’ve done this 2-3 times a day.
Once a day may be plenty.
Note: Vitamin D is more readily used by the body when it has MAGNESIUM in its system.
The Epsom Salts have Magnesium in them.
Taking Magnesium ORALLY is NOT enough because (for whatever reason) the body gets diarrhea with the oral method WAY before the body has ENOUGH Magnesium. I learned this from the Nurse / World Magnesium Expert as far as I’m concerned who founded a more expensive form of Magnesium crystals at Health and Wisdom. She teaches that people will never get “too much magnesium” so no need to even test it (like there is definitely a reason to test Vitamin D to get the level UP to at least 60 ng/ml and keep it in the 60-80 ng/ml through the year). There is no accurate Magnesium test that is given by LabCorp or Quest but there is a Magnesium test that costs around $400 but since it’s not necessary, I’ve not done it. The Magnesium tests given by Labcorp / Quest only measure what amount of Magnesium is in the BLOOD and there’s only a small % of Magnesium in our Blood; the resst is in other areas of the body.
So, long and short is taking Vitamin D daily and keeping the DOSE the SAME for 3 months; and then testing it after 3 months. The Vitamin D test is very low cost if your insurance won’t pay for it every 3 months (you can order a Vitamin D test on LEF.org or other places and LEF will send you the Requisition (which you take to Labcorp_ by email and the Results by email.
I keep various strengths of Vitamin D on hand so I can make adjustments when I get the 3-month test results back. NOW makes a pretty low-cost, good-quality Vitamin D. I also like Healthy Origins and Carlson.

Now, there is a book written in the 1950’s or 1970’s or thereabouts that is VERY IMPORTANT.
It’s written by an MD who was also a Heart specialist, if I recall correctly.
He found that nearly EVERY complaint brought to him was resolved by treating the LOW-THYROID condition of his patients.
The thyroid tests given by MD’s can be inaccurate so I personally would NOT rely soley on them.
Dr. Barnes gives a more accurate test to perform to verify low-thyroid or not.
When I found this book 20 years ago, it was 50 cents.
As you’ll see, it’s become more in DEMAND.
It’s a miracle that it’s still available, imo.
IF, only IF, one is seeking to raise one’s thyroid level, I have a FAVORITE BRAND of THYROID (both T3 and T4 combined in the pill), which is Acella brand.
They have various strengths.
I like holding it under my tongue for the sublingual dissolving (that takes just a few minutes) rather than forcing my stomach to digest it and put it through my system (since hypothyroid is a condition that often involves a slowing of the metabolism, why put my body through all that digesting?)
I recommend you read this full book SOON!
Thank you, I Hear You Now. When she first came home… I immediately got her on D3+K, methyl B12, magnesium Glycenate, omega 3, zinc, and L-Theanine at night that helps treat PTSD. (nightmares stopped).
She takes 5000 iu of D3 plus 100 mcg of K for absorption.
I’ve not been able to get her full panel for vitamin and mineral deficiency done… it’s really expensive and I have a functional medicine nurse practitioner who is direct pay. I’ve not been able to get Savannah in there yet because we just can’t afford the luxury yet.
However, she is still anemic from the tests we have received… so I can’t quite get her over the threshold nutritionally (I’ve tried). I have Ferritin (iron supplement) here and will look into it to see if I can incorporate it in and when it’s best to use.
Interesting about the thyroid info. I have Hashimotos from pregnancy with Hypothyroidism.
There’s reserved discussion about there being an underlying auto immune that was triggered by the sepsis. No telling. She was not ovulating at all since the miscarriage in March… but her system kicked into gear in the hospital… so she was just racked by the ordeal.
We are waiting on Rheumatology as they would identify and treat the auto immune.
The recommended doctor has good reviews and we are careful about how she’s treated so they’re not just throwing Pharma at her.
Her specialists are pretty thrilled with her recovery and progress… just getting a bit outside their scope with this byproduct.
The cardiologist is a bit of a jerk… but all in all… she has a good rolodex of doctors. Even when things didn’t look right… they were proven right… so we appreciate them immensely.
I’m assuming you have a prescription for Acella? I’ve been using Armour Thyroid which has both T3 and T4 and big Pharma is doing all they can to get rid of it. It’s so expensive!!! Nice to know there’s another brand. I’ll check out the book.
Joan … I took Armour. They reformulated around 10-12 ish years ago and many people did not like it.
I like Acela much more. Yes, it requires a prescription. Don’t get me started on the racquet prescribing has become.
NOTE: it does NOT matter what her DOSE is for Vit D3 !!!!!!
ALL that matters with Vit D3 is maintaining a BLOOD TEST Level of 60-80 ng/ml.
My husband needed 50,000 IU of Vit D3 daily to maintain that 60-80 ng/ml BLOOD TEST Level.
I’ve gone from 4,000 IU daily a number of years ago to 11,000 IU now.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
SUGGESTION:
Reread what I wrote above … Looks like that would be of benefit.
😃 And, I took an hour to write each detail just for you . . .❤️
If it was me, I would just focus FIRST right now on what I wrote.
IHYN,
I realize her dose doesn’t matter with D3… and that the goal is the blood test level… as mentioned, I haven’t been able to GET her blood test level… so I’m doing the best I can for her right now within our limitations.
At least 5,000 iu is “something” and I’ve heard that D3 can be overadministered… which is why I didn’t on my own go higher… but don’t have details on that. I’m just careful to take my dosage which is 10,000 iu a day per my NP and I put her on 5,000 iu to give her some support with the K.
Savannah needs those full panels performed… no doubt… but when Quest did mine… it was well over $4300. It should be a crime that they’re that high.
I had never heard of Acela. Good info all the way around. Thank you
Joan:
I’ve paid LEF.org around $50 for the Vit D3 test.
Sometimes they have a sale price.
I don’t do “full panels” much.
One does NOT need a doctor to order the blood tests (that’s been true for about 20 years).
I just reread your 1st post and I had fibroids for 10 years (!) … and finally went anemic.
It’s good to know the source of the anemia (excessive blood loss, etc.)
I took the iron supplement from the doctor for a FULL year.
My iron levels did not move.
THEN my Naturopath suggested a VERY inexpensive (comparatively) iron supplement that did the job in 3 months:
IRON COMPLEX
by
NOW
The key to it working so well was that it has several forms of iron so my body could CHOOSE which form of iron it needed.
Worked like a charm.
So good to know. I’ve used the NOW brand before but it’s a while as we have to watch costs.
I have Ferritin for her but was cautioned as I was reading the ID doctors notes today that we need to be careful how we are treating so we don’t mask what Rheumatology needs to see so they can properly diagnose her.
I was thinking he could try giving her steroids.. but now I’m erring on the side of caution to really learn what this thing is she’s experiencing.
Big hugs and thank you for the detailed notes.
❤️. So good to know. I just recently had my thyroid done, which is done every six months… for only $92 cash out of pocket.
Quest billed my former insurer over $2300!!!!!
I was super pissed so guess who almost didn’t do the mandatory blood work because I was afraid I couldn’t afford it???? Me.
Until God somehow created a $93 credit at my NPs office that covered her direct pay expense… I only had to pay $0.61 for the visit and the $92 for the blood work.
Praise God because I could not afford it at all, but I need to keep my thyroid and heart medication going.
The less expensive test was through Boston Heart???? Or maybe the test was called that and it was through Boston Medical. I can’t be sure right now.
Wonderful news!
When you first wrote of Savannahs chest pain I thought immediately of esophageal spasms. I get them from time to time and they do feel like a heart attack.. My pain also can radiate into my back.
Next time she can try some of my remedies. Take a glass of hot water and sip it slowly.
My sister gulps really cold water and her spasms release that way.
If either of these things helps great! It’s important to stay calm…if it’s a spasm it will go away! Good luck!
Hi NanaB,
We are willing to try your home remedies. We couldn’t do it this evening… but I’ll make a note to try.
We are staying as calm as possible… but she’s exasperated for answers and with her youth… she wants a more immediate cure.
She wants to DO more… take longer walks, feel like she could hold a small job… but this is taking time.
We are grateful she’s not under the cloud of trying to avoid Strep the rest of her life. At least, I don’t think so… will learn more with rheumatology.
Try drinking it like this:
-It does work for hiccups; gives one cause to control breathing… helps one focus and calm one down.
Drinking ->slowly is key.
I have been praying for the two of you for a long time and want you to know I appreciate you keeping us all in the loop.
Thank you.
Thanks Nana. I believe the prayers here have carried us. No way I could do this alone. No way. We’ve witnessed some incredible miracles here in this Tree. Much love to you ❤️ 🙏
Need some emergency prayers. My brother has been in the ER since 2 am, long story short they found the largest abscess the neurosurgeon has ever seen, it runs from the top to the bottom of his spine. They are taking him in for emergency surgery this afternoon.
Of course it is rare and they don’t know what caused it, I will leave that right there. It is possible, if all goes well for a full recovery. Please pray for him, his wife, my whole family, and the hospital team. I am beyond cold anger w/the medical system and won’t get started on that.
I feel comfort knowing the Treeper Prayer Team will be on his side.
Offering prayers to the Father, Leave, for all,
Who is able to do far more abundantly than all we can even ask or imagine.
May the Lord receive glory and honor thru this trouble, and may His perfect will be done.
May He also grant you His Peace and rest as you wait on Him.
In the name of our precious Savior, Jesus Christ, for His sake.
Hello Miss Della, it’s good to see you. Praying for you, your husband, and family ❤️
God’s been merciful to this Tree. 🙏
He Is So Good
Thank you, Woo — you’re such a kind soul …
I do pray for you and Savannah;
And, for all the others who ask for prayer.
Lately, I do not have the energy or time for even formulating a coherent sentence.
My husband and I are both navigating the challenges of aging bodies. (In our late 70s)
It’s one thing after another – and often, several at once.
We try not to whine too much (except to each other, haha), but it can be a hard season of life.
I probably should post more encouragement for others – and get my eyes off myself (win-win)!
Yes, God is good — and what He does is good. (Psalm 119:68)
Whether we agree with that truth – or not.
Because His mercies are new EVERY morning is the only reason any of us can go on.
Remember, Woo, the Lord promises to take care of you and provide all of your needs.
You belong to Him and He rejoices over you!
I recently read this verse in an older version and it leaped into my heart.
I pray it ministers to you, too:
“The LORD will perfect that which concerns me;
Your mercy, O LORD, endures forever;
Do not forsake the works of Your hands.”
Psalm 138:8
LOVE that Word: Perfect!
Love you, Woo. Be strong in the Lord, and in HIS mighty power.
Thank you Miss Della, it is good to see you! You are still in my prayers along w/the other Treepers we don’t hear much from anymore.
He made it through the surgery, thank the Lord. Still has infection and some recovery to do. Please keep him and his family in your prayers.
LMGA,
I just saw your post. Sorry I wasn’t here earlier. Please know… that when they took the infection out of Savannah’s face… an abscess with many compartments in her lymph nodes… they didn’t take it all… just some for pathology purposes. Once they determined cause of infection, that’s when the targeted antibiotics with the weird combination that can’t be mixed outside of the body was used and alleviated the rest of the infection, abscess, weird stuff.
Did they assign an Infectious Disease doctor to your brother to determine origin???
How strange is this??!!
Praying for your brother’s recovery, the right antibiotics administered, and for protection of his spine and spinal cord and their neurological condition… that your brother will feel better soon and find great relief that this infection has been remedied!!!!
Thank you. Yes, they brought in infectious disease people and they are working on that. They say this type of thing comes from people using needles, whether diabetic or drug addict, he isn’t either. He has been doing lots of activity where he has had nicks and cuts on the skin, and he didn’t clean them, wipe the blood and keep on working. A dog scratch got him recently. It is all guess work and still doing tests. He is so not out of the woods yet, I am on eggshells, he has a ways to go, his big concern is his legs are not working quite right. There is other stuff, but he really is blessed to still be alive, such a close call.
He resents questions being asked or any ideas or suggestions offered, which is frustrating, because I do know a few things from first hand experience, but he is not used to having to listen to the underlings. I understand no one likes to be told what to do no matter how carefully you phrase it, especially when not there in person, but still it is annoying. I KNOW he needs the little Airlife thingy and should be doing that. For frick sake, ask them for one. God only knows how long it will take PT and respiratory people to make it to his room.
He is gorked out on the drugs, but still in pain, a whole new experience for him, he trusts the doctor. *Sigh*.
His surgeon is known for being top notch so there is that, but you know how it is when all the various services start showing up and you are dealing w/humans. I don’t trust him or his wife to be good advocates for themselves, too busy worrying about being polite and easy to get along with, which I am for, but sometimes you have to get assertive.
I really, really appreciate any and all prayers.
As a sidebar, another friend w/cancer that needs fluid sgy, said their doc is off to London to see the Jaguars play, so it will be a few more weeks until they can fit him in. Meanwhile the patient back log is piling up. I get doctors are human, deserve vacations and all the rest, but jeez, take care of your patients, my friend is suffering. Football game over human life.
LMGA…. still praying for your brother. Sometimes we must trust the doctors… until we can’t. We have been blessed to find a few really good ones… her infectious disease specialist is one.
I’m going to ask a naive question and you may have already explained… please know my brain is tired and may have trouble retaining…
I looked it up and couldn’t find it…
“fluid sgy”?
What is this procedure you referenced and maybe I missed it or it dropped out of my head like the apparent box of rocks my mind is becoming through our own information assault we are going through on our end???
Like you, my brain isn’t functioning. By fluid sgy, I mean the procedure when there is fluid on the heart and they have to drain it off. He has needed it done repeatedly pulling out liters of fluid. Whenever the doc gets back from his jaunt to a football game overseas they will go in and put in some sort of stent so he doesn’t have to do the needle method, until then he will continue to get poked and drained. He continues to hang in there.
Brother still can’t use his leg, a little improvement but not what we want to see. His BP is back up, they pulled his drainage tube, basically not much change from yesterday, but on the bright side no major setbacks. Thank the Lord.
I ask everyone to keep him on their prayer list for the foreseeable future. Thank you, thank you, thank you! God loves you and so do I!
Thanks for clarifying for me. ❤️
Three medical appointments today and all of them simply insane. Lord help us, especially w/all the Medicare changes that are coming and not to mention what is being produced out of our medical schools posing as “doctors”. Programmed bots in human form is what they are.
Anyway, at one doc there was a single mom working the front desk. Long story short she lost her father three weeks ago. Her story about being his care taker was heartbreaking while trying to juggle work, kids that refuse to learn to drive, the cost of the memorial/cremation, all of it was really hard to hear. Of course she is being gouged and is struggling to find resources.
I was last patient of the day and we talked for a good while. I don’t even know her name but told her I would include her in prayer, she started to tear up and exclaimed how grateful she would be. I am asking ya’ll to join in prayer for the memorial service that she is doing solo, renting out some sort of hall, making the food, invitations, photos, everything by herself will be wonderful.
And that by some miracle she will get some help physically and financially. Some organization she applied with helps, but of course the paperwork and going through the crap to get help isn’t being helpful. I pray that she will remain strong and have the energy to get through it all. She had quite the spirit to power on, but ya know we can only take so much.
Standing with you in prayer for her, my good friend LMGA.
Our brothers and sisters in Christ are enduring such hard things… things like humanity has never experienced. BUT GOD placed you there in that medical administrators presence just in the proper timing and the inclining of your Spirit towards hers was Providential.
YES, friend. This is all insane… by design…. and I’m grateful for the eyes we have to see and the discernment vested within us to recognize it.
We pop the proverbial popcorn and WAIT ON THE LORD.
Oh…. I have MUCH TO POST but I fear all the space i take up!
A PRAISE REPORT
My dear prayer warrior friends… I have many prayers to request… so maybe you all just pray for our “unspokens” because they are big…. but….
RIGHT NOW I JUST WANT TO THANK GOD!
I’ve been writing on substack and it is reaching and helping total strangers.
A man reached to me overnight who had quite literally taken 60 pills to kill himself. By God’s Mercy he survived and he proceeded to share with me his deep valley of a story and the shock he’s put his wife and family through.
I was able to pray for him and share Scripture with him and I just feel so honored at his sharing his vulnerability and new faith walk with Christ with me.
I’m just so incredibly humbled. I was able to also share a men’s Bible study podcast I know… so maybe be of some help and at least some sisterly love as we all battle in the trenches together.
We are STRONG and TRIUMPHANT IN THE LORD.
Pray for Noah and thank God with me for saving his life and for what God is working through him and all of us here.
We are an army and a movement for God and we are taking ground!!!
Most excellent story, thank you for sharing. We really don’t know how God will use us as his servant and as a tool for others, but when it happens it is awesome.
Super SUPER good news!!!!!
Savannah’s EKG, Echocardiogram, and her CT with Contrast performed on her chest (from neck to waist) done on 10/5th came back and her heart and organs look JUST FINE!!!! This is HUUUUUUGE!!!!!
There is still this horrible inflammation. We can’t get into Rheumatology or with a PCP until March 2027. Her Infectious Disease doctor is still her point person and he’s been fantastic. I just flat out asked him if he would prescribe her Prednisolone (steroid) for the inflammation to see if we could just “reset” her body and maybe just get totally past this????!!!!
He had reservations early about it because if he prescribed a steroid it could “mask” symptoms of auto-immune. She still has this weird chest pain and pain radiation down her arms and into her back – but maybe it’s neurological and the inflammation is just being ornery? (For lack of a better “medical term”.)
Due to the delays of getting continued maintenance for her – what could it hurt? Let’s hope for this – because I really just want all this to go away!
We also terminated her “therapy” with the NGO. There were some really WEIRD things going on with it – which I will write more about on substack for the interest of space here. We found a church and she prefers to pursue individual and group therapy with them – so we are actively working through that. Let’s pray hard on that because we really need safe in-person community.
Now, friends – this Momma needs a JOB. I have to get back to work ASAP and try to get us to some level of financial stability and security before winter hits. This is a huge source of anxiety for me. I am pretty freaked out about it because the economy feels really soft and with the election – the local idiots in charge are touting how low our gas prices are but they are withholding the $0.80 per gallon gas tax – so it’s all smoke and mirrors.
Folks on the street here – are feeling recession quality trepidation and it is slowing hiring – along with A.I. being used to try to replace jobs like mine.
I realize God may be doing something “different” for me. With all I’ve learned about these garbage NGOs dealing in human trafficking cases – it really drives me to do something about it, incorporate, and try to really roadmap this out for people who are suffering. Those NGOs run you ragged and waste so much time.
PLEASE PRAY that I am smart enough to see what God Is Doing in our lives and that He Will get me working – like yesterday! It is critical for us.
Congratulations! Always great when things are ruled out, but also frustrating when issues are still there. Just insane about the March appointment, call every day and ask about cancellations, someone between now and then will cancel and hopefully you will be the WINNER of the appointment. Our healthcare system is just insane.
Most definitely praying for the perfect job for you w/a good salary will come along quickly.
I will enjoy pondering on the good news this evening. It is indeed HUGE!
Praying praying praying…
Praising praising praising…
God bless you and Beautiful Savannah..
If any Treepers are so inclined: I just applied for a new job which I believe would be a great fit for me. Please pray for whatever is best for me: an offer, staying where I am with some positive changes, or something else. I pray for a wife with all the attributes that I find to be attractive, the wisdom to recognize her when I meet her, and the courage to act upon it if/when we meet. I know that God has a plan for me; I wish I could figure out what it is.
Praying for the perfect job for you to bring you peace and fulfillment.
As for when the perfect lady enters your orbit, from the love stories I’ve heard here on the Tree… you won’t be able to help yourself but pursue her and there will be no apprehension whatsoever because the draw to one another will be undeniable.
Praying for you that you can be relaxed through this process, do activities you love doing and stay busy… and there you would find your mate who shares your joys.
In Jesus’s Name and God’s Perfect Timing. Amen
Hi Brad, happy to pray for you.
This is today’s newsletter from the LowKeyChristian. It resonated w/me, I am going to start doing this. See if it appeals to you. I also find written prayer w/all the fine tuned details of what I am hoping, needing, thinking to receive helps, write down the list of attributes and write for the good Lord to bring them to you w/a line of gratitude to close out. Sometimes when praying my mind wanders and I get distracted, writing the prayers solve that problem. I think the Catholics call them Novenas? I call it writing my prayers down:) Anyway, I will be praying for you in thought and word.
Brother update, he was moved to a rehab hospital today and that has lifted his spirits. Big improvement from literally “if you make it through this surgery”. How awful to know you are being put under anesthesia and not knowing if you will wake up from the surgery alive. Please continue to pray for him that he will have a great recovery and that the staff will take good care of him, and his wife. He is having a very difficult time comprehending what all has happened, understandably so. Scary life altering experiences will do that. Not to mention worrying about all the life things that “need to be done” and he isn’t able to do them.
I found out that I have been walking around w/a femur fx that has been healing on its own and will mostly need a rod put in my leg, gotta get through ankle surgery first. Thing is x-rays were done and the radiologist missed it. I need a body replacement. If you have your health enjoy and appreciate it daily.
Thank you all so much for your prayers. It is a comfort to know we are getting real prayers instead of the “let’s do lunch” kind of prayers. Ya know, “I am praying for you” and it is like a “how are you?” that is a greeting instead of real inquiry of how are you doing. If that makes a lick of sense.
