A few years later in 2015 the Wall Street Journal reported on a national federal database that was using Automatic License Plate Readers (APLRs) to capture and store the travel of millions of Americans {SOURCE}.
Now we fast-forward a decade and that federal database is now being exploited by local police around the nation to keep track of ordinary persons of interest to their community who travel outside their jurisdiction. This is where the Flock Cameras come into the discussion. WATCH:
The same government interests who dismiss our concerns about privacy are the same govt interests who point out how horrible China and Iran are for monitoring their citizens on CCTV systems.

i’ve heard each camera contains ~3grams of gold and a significant amount copper
if true, and the tweeks/chronics aka meth heads catch wind of this, those devices will dissappear quicker than they can be installed

I have always felt the concealed carry permit was a nose under the tent to identify how many weapons someone owns. I think that is a need to know basis.

Flock CEO says documenting the location of flock cameras is terrorism. Israel has cameras everywhere. Our government is controlled by the same people. We will have them everywhere as well.
This is no different from data centers. We do not live in a democracy, regardless of citizens preferences whoever has the most capital can steamroll all “laws” and get anything they want.

this is why i feel like, in some ways, our surveillance state is WORSE than china.
in china, you KNOW they are watching, they don’t put on any airs about it or gaslight you into thinking you are a nutjob for being worried, and you know what the rules are that will get you into hot water.
by contrast, we keep getting washed in propaganda about how free we are and everything is great, and anyone who thinks this is nefarious is a conspiracy theorist, and if you have nothing to hide, you have nothing to worry about. worse yet, half of us, even on this forum, seem to think that because trump is supposedly “in charge” or cops and mil are “mostly good people” that its not a big deal.

In Blighty they are on every corner, in every village, in every town, in every city.
Flock cameras aren’t for preventing crime or catching criminals. They are for surveillance and control of lawful citizens.

Here’s how dumb some people can be.
If we follow the logic that some surveillance is a good thing, then total surveillance is the best possible thing. There’s simply no way around the logic if one is to be logically consistent and without being internally contradictory. So, someone who holds this position must be willing to say that all crime would drop to zero if only we had total surveillance and a digital panopticon. Does anyone really believe this?
