If Biden ever showed up, don’t remember, easy to forget.
Biden is the most popular man in America judging by the “votes”. Even got a weird 30 million vote bulge, yet is barely mentioned by anyone of either party.
Weird, huh?
Showed up, propped up…
Pointed in the directions he was supposed to go.
An embarrassment and a disgrace to serving members of the military and to the memories of those we honour on this day.
President Trump reveres those men and women. A fitting Commander in Chief. And it shows.
Ms, Betsy,
I hope that one day I too shall visit these sacred grounds in my lifetime on this earth as God see fit for me.
I hope so, too, dear sir. Especially for those who served and who perhaps knew someone who is buried there, I hear the experience is life changing. Just as it is for those who take a pilgrimage to the battlefields and cemeteries in Europe.
A humbling place to visit.
It’s a tough place to view and contemplate; somber and mournful are the feelings I came away with.
It’s very sad looking at rows upon rows of tombstones that seem to go on forever.
thx, Betsy – guts me every time I see it
first time I’ve noticed she took keepsake photos to a printing place that’ll make you a custom beach towel or bedspread
If that’s Arlington, I haven’t been there
But I did have the honor of visiting a US Military Cemetery at Corregidor, Manila, Philippines
Instead of round-top headstones like those, it had white stone crosses
The way they faded into the distance row-after-row like that was quite sobering and a slam in the chest
May God bless all
The markers in Europe are the same…white crosses. Still meticulously tended by good hearted people there who know the blood and treasure spent and remain grateful.
My uncle, KIA 7 May 1944, is buried in Belgium. He was co-pilot of a B-17 shot down in Germany. I don’t know why my family didn’t bring him home. In any event, I was finally able to have a memorial stone made for him. My husband, son, & grandson placed it in his parents’ gravesite in Idaho Springs, CO on Memorial Day 2024. There are Europeans who have lovingly created websites remembering those Americans who gave their lives for them. Not all of their info is 100% correct but the remembrance is deeply appreciated.
The generations which have been so respectful of our fallen are dying out, teabag. The Euro landscape is changing in ways we could never in our worst nightmares imagine. I’ll admit as I watch the capitulation, I often give thought to what will eventually become of those graves.
(What a serene moment you all must have felt in placing that memorial stone for your uncle. His chapter finally remembered in the land of his birth. Home in spirit 🇺🇸)
Yes they are, Betsy! 💔💖
Being here 25 years ago struck me in a (wordless) way that remains with me to this day.

and Arlington ….
Today is always very bitter sweet… Always.

So many men, Patience. So many boys who became men by virtue of their service wherever it was given, for wars started by those who would never fight in them. Those were the loudest voices for bloodshed. Lives cut short. As conflicts have always been. These photos are beautiful. Peaceful. Who would dare speak on seeing or visiting them? I am so glad you posted….
(I was thinking of you, dear friend…just now. Did you hear me?)
….. 💞
I think so, BeSty

“…for wars started by those who would never fight in them.”
That hasn’t changed.
Me too, nim…
I took it all in, all of it. Then paid attention to the spread. Their happiest day. And of course we don’t know if he ever saw his child. There were plenty who did not. Hard to look at this.
But not as hard as it was to be that young widow.
How sad, how terribly sad and tragic.
A young widow and her baby who will never know his or her father.
And for what?
Thanks for posting this as a visual reminder of the price paid by the families. My wife and I visited Arlington National Cemetery on Sunday for Flowers of Remembrance Day. We are not comfortable with big crowds, but Sunday is serene and peaceful. We got to pay our respects by leaving a rose near the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
We have been to Arlington Cemetery. Most solemn place I have ever seen. Watched the changing of the guard in frigid temps and falling snow. So moving.
Providential and fitting to be a rainy day. Never forget!

I received the same message. I switched browsers and still received it. So I just went into my browser and clicked on the bookmark I had made for The Conservative Treehouse and it took me straight to their story on their website.
Switched to brave as one suggested, getting back on now.
We were using duckduckgo.
I also received the same message Duke. Just the latest proof we are over the target….
Yeah, that’s what I figured.
Yep!!!
That’s why I seldom post as of late. I come, read and leave…. over and over again —every day.
Me, too.
Get NoScript Security Suite for your browser under/Add-Ons Security section. Allow to run in Private Windows. All connections on https
FIRST THING: When you click the icon of this add-on ( I have it at the right top hand for add-on icons) you will see 3 icons Close (Red X)/Reload (Icon)/Options (icon (with Spanner( for NoScript) of the top left items when it is installed.
Very important when the next window openes up, under General, take the warning seriously “Disable restrictions globally” that box should never be checked for ANY sites. There are many other settings in Firefox itself, for example you have to block also. Once that is done, then the NoScript will show other restrictions you want to allow or deny. Been using this and Firefox from more than 15+ years since Opera after Netscape lost competition as best browsers.
The setting you are seeing, if in Firefox is a standard precautionary notice – you can go ahead anyway but you need to know what is at stake or set your own rules in about:config. This is one are you can override the browser’s tracking mechanisms, profile loading etc – AGAIN, it isn’t straight forward. You will have absolute control over what’s on the net where there are tracking forms, ads to never load or allow, keyloggers and even .jpeg malware. This is also dependant on your particular network setup as well. Internet Explorer even when not using, or installed (I have always right away disabled it and go through all the options once I got my favorite browser installed. Always helpful to download the latest of your favorite browser installation package, save it for setting up new systems; without being forced to use Internet Explorer first. There are tons of stuff in IE I also disable as well in Advanced settings, feed/history/feeds/Third-party cookies/third-party add-ons to run or not run, etc. Even to this day, without it installed or running, it affects your choiced browser. Worse is Edge on Windows 10 and 11, which cannot be uninstalled; nor any browser run-time installed. You still have to go through the half-dozen times, just for one user and that Administrator alone – it will still keeping re-initiating after every stop you do to it.when you first log into Windows. It runs in task manager, and has much to do with Searchhost.
This may not all apply to every one depending on systems, network configuration, programs and apps used with or without other connection (e.g. all IOT devices, surveillance systems, light, TV, oven, cameras, etc) but hopefully give an insight into what goes on the minute you are connected to the internet these days.
(It takes some reading to get things on according to your own needs/preferences for sites. I totally marked some sites UNTRUSTED and they bother me – MICROSOFT – all, including Hotmail, Outlook, Office. I used open source free Office.Outlook suites – no problems. Again, needs reading and learning how to set those for your particular uses.
This is a standard warning for whichever website you are trying to access. The are the usual problematic areas. System time, SSL state or website owner’s still having this running.
You can inspect the certificate and see the timestamps and issuers for it; even name issued under – If you choose to enter, there will be a warning but commonly the site will load on the expired cert. version. It’s a risk you choose when you can’t do anything about it since you don’t own or maintain the site.
If the system time is correct, the issue likely lies with the website; in this case, users should clear their browser cache and SSL state, update their browser to the latest version, or temporarily disable SSL inspection features in antivirus software that may interfere with certificate validation. For website owners, the fix involves renewing the expired SSL certificate, ensuring the correct certificate chain is installed, and verifying that the server’s time synchronization (NTP) is configured correctly.
Reagan closed his 1982 Memorial Day Address by pointing out something most Americans had never noticed: the national anthem does not end with a declaration. It ends with a question.
“O say does that star-spangled banner yet wave… O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave?”
That was not poetry to him. It was a challenge aimed at every generation that inherits freedom after the sacrifices of previous generations have faded into memory.
The dead answered the question with their lives.
The living still have to answer it with theirs.
Because when fear and hard times arrive, every generation is eventually forced to answer the same question:
“Does that flag still wave?”
thank you, yadent.
Same message
Deleted browser history and that cleared things up. Definitely fishy though
Thank you in spirit to all the fallen. You are much loved.
May we never take it for granted. May we never forget the price that was paid. And may we live as citizens worthy of the men and women who gave their lives for the United States of America.
In God we trust.
God bless America, Land of the Free!
The gift that keeps on giving to MAGA, Kamala Harris, chose Memorial Day Weekend to tell the reved-up Rev. Al Sharpton that she’s thinking about running for president again in ’28!
To quote the Bard, what a consummation devoutly to be wished that would be…proving to America and the world that a worse debate performance than Biden had against Trump last time out is not only possible but probable!
Where is my praying Emoji? I’m sure I had it here somewhere!
Running for President must be very profitable. Can’t wait to see Kamala and AOC go head to head, empty though they may be.
Harrison well said by You,

Vance need to go up one jacket size
Cinching at the waist, top button
Crumpling at the elbows instead of sleeves hanging straight like The Boss
‘ey – I’m just sayin …
Looks fine to me, but then, I’m not a critic.
Remembrance Day and burial of the unknown soldier. 1920
Enjoy the honored moments of speeches, singing, taps, etc. Very touching
Nice to see four (4) men salute. Don’t remember having seen that in decades, if ever, at the Wreath Laying.
Also, what lousy camera placement that hardly showed our President, or was that intentional? I don’t put it last the media feed.
