Remembering very special People
Good Sunday Morning Treepers
I’ve published my Substack remembrance. 3 people whose names start with the letter J. They ‘sailed’ to that over-the-horizon (invisible) shore 2 years ago. One more J sailed this July.
It’s easy to imagine their Joy at being in a Heavenly refuge – no more pain, no more sorrow, no more toil. Many would attribute the Joy to being in the Presence of our Creator.
As Mo would say: alleluia
What is hard is being left behind, as we are, trying our best to continue without them.
Duchess has posted that our kids are only loaned to us. Broader than that, our loved ones and our beloved pets seem to fall into that category, too.

I know it’s hard when it seems we have more folks “over yonder” than next to us – I know the feeling, well. The thing is the oil in Alberta belongs by law, to Alberta and not Canada and many, if not most Albertans resent that a disproportionate amount of the revenue from their oil goes to fund the Eastern provinces where the majority of Canadians live and work. Thus the drive for succession.

I do a pretty good job of keeping our pantry equipped. Tonight after dinner, Savannah asked if I had a box of brownie mix stashed. I do.
What I don’t have is regular vegetable oil. I just don’t buy it anymore with all the yuck out there. I do have Aldi’s avocado oil for sauteeing… but nothing else. I wouldn’t use Avocado but have had brownies made with fresh avocado and black beans at Trader Joe’s back a million years ago.
I went round and round with her that you can substitute applesauce and Greek yogurt. She’s hilarious.
She acted like applesauce was going to ruin her life and make brownies, somehow healthy.
She’ll see. Lol
