In the background, this is where it becomes important for President Trump and President Putin to organize a strategic alliance.

Oh, and as for the Canadians, a line from a John Lennon song comes to mind: “You think you’re so clever and classless and free, but you’re still %&$# peasants as far as I can see.” Carney made it clear that any illusions Canadians had about self government were pipe dreams. They are mere subjects, and the Crown controls them all.
