Secretary of State Marco Rubio appears on Fox News to discuss the various goals and objectives of the U.S. military operation against Iran. As part of the interview Secretary Rubio was asked about the strategic conflicts and hypocrisies now flowing from NATO member states.
The U.S. supports our NATO posture in Europe in part because it provides us with strategic military bases and operations that are considered vital to our national interests. However, as outlined in the Iran conflict, when we need to use those strategic bases the NATO member states withdraw previous permissions. France has blocked us from flying over their airspace, Spain and Italy have said the U.S. cannot use our military bases on their soil for operations. The U.K has refused to protect and/or escort their own energy assets.
The NATO membership is now a one-way street where they demand our military protection, but Europe blocks us from using our own military assets for our independent operations.
Europe, while hiding behind the NATO protection skirt of the U.S, is simultaneously telling the U.S. what we can and cannot do with our own military. Secretary Rubio and President Trump are now confronting this very visible one-way benefit head on. WATCH (prompted).

Nato should have been abolished when its opponent the Warsaw pact was dissolved as Pat Buchanan has written many times about
NATO’s Prophetic Critics: Expanding the alliance has led to a war many experts predicted.
https://modernagejournal.com/natos-prophetic-critics/240359/
“Harries, Kennan and Buchanan were also among the opponents of NATO expansion to draw attention to the assurances the U.S. and Germany gave to Moscow during the early 1990s: that if Russia withdrew from its Warsaw Pact client states and accepted German unification, NATO would not move “one inch eastwards.” By expanding NATO to the frontiers of the former Soviet Union, they warned, Washington had repudiated an implicit agreement with Mikhail Gorbachev thanks to which the demise of the Soviet Union did not unleash the kind of chaos and brute force that had characterized the collapse of other empires. As the English foreign-policy realist Martin Wight once put it: “Great Power status is lost, as it is won, by violence. A Great Power does not die in its bed.””
Thanks for bringing up Pat Buchanan- as I read this, this is exactly where I was going.
Mr. Buchanan has written a fair bit about how ALL these old treaties, alliances, pacts like NATO, they’ve all far expired and should have been ended years ago.
Pat was on this topic for a while in the early first term of Trump. What got him going on this was the Paris Accord and of course the Donald Trump effect that was new to us back in those early days of his Presidency then revealing just how old, rotted and corrupt it all is.
I clearly recall a great Pat Buchanan interview on Boston radio’s Howie Carr show when Pat was promoting a recent article or a book maybe? where he was explaining that all these things must go, they have now morphed into something that looks nothing at all like what their original intent was for, these global conditions that required it are now all gone… they have been turned into a vehicle to drive us to an entirely different place from their original and agreed upon purposes.. they ALL Need to go.
It’s early and I haven’t had enough coffee to think straight yet, but Pat ran down a list of things that were NATO, along with several other treaties, accords, pacts, deals, all this sort of outdated stuff that is being used in now bad ways, he was saying it ALL NEEDS TO GO.
If I remember right, now that I’m thinking about it, I think that a book he wrote back at that time got into all this.
He was a regular on Howie’s show back in those days.
Pat Buchanan and an America First Foreign Policy
https://theimaginativeconservative.org/2025/03/pat-buchanan-america-first-foreign-policy-francis-p-sempa.html
Another good book of Buchanan’s was ‘The Death of the West’ (2001) where he predicted the demographic collapse of Europe and Russia and warned of the effects of mass immigration.
A modern-day Cassandra, never to be believed… though his prophesies turn out to come true.
YES and I know you’ll likely scoff at me mentioning her name, but Ann Coulter’s book “Adios America” played a really large role back then in not only waking us up but also fully and openly revealing what is happening to an America that was really asleep during an actual invasion and all that allowed this to happen.
It became a simple political club that gives these types another excuse for dinner party, cocktails, networking.
Answer: get USA out of NATO— NATO is now an unreliable, Islamicist loving bunch of weak, feckless woke surrender serfs.
And, get NATO out of the US!

Well said! There might be a benefit to the European people if they understand that we are not going to support NATO who is supporting governments which are bringing in these Muslims to attack children as allowed under Islam. There’s no reason why you’d be bringing in Muslims into your countries unless you were trying to destroy the people and the countries. It’s not like this hasn’t been done in many other countries for centuries..
Muslims are not your friends, they hate Christians and ultimately when they’re in charge, they will force you to convert, pay them money, or kill you.
Now that the communist, and satanic people are supporting Muslims you know the governments are on the wrong side.
Time for the EU people to change their government. It’s not like they don’t see the horrible abuse going on in France, Germany, Britain, and others EU Countries.
Europeans may not see the increased crime unless they are personally affected by it. We all know that fake news conceals identities in their crime reports if the perpetrators are minorities. They also hide this information within the USA.
not islamist. just straight up islamic.
I know this won’t be a popular opinion here but there is huge value in being the world’s policeman. It has served us very well for many years. We just need to dial back what we spend for others.
The cost of being the world’s policeman was not borne by the countries being served, but instead by the US taxpayer. We are literally being “taxed too much” supporting small military deployments around the globe.
We have not received a “return on investment” for our spend, but rather $37,000,000,000 in debt… countries that scaled back their military security increased factory production, putting US industry out of business by undercutting our costs.
If we aren’t pretending there are many reasons why we have not $37 trillion but actually $39 trillion of national debt. Yes we have spent more on our military than other countries. We also learn virtually every day about the massive amount of fraud that has taken place across the country. I am all for demanding that those who are supposed to be our allies contribute what they agreed they would but let’s get ruthless attacking the fraud and parasitic wasteful legislation that got us to this place.
“the fraud and parasitic wasteful legislation ”
This isn’t a bug, it’s the feature. This was the plan.. it’s all been a heist !!
Sadly I agree.
Exactly when our politicians shut down our ability to make what we need we’re screwed. Mining Forestry Factories. We still have farming and oil but they are owned by a few.
https://www.prometheanaction.com/ this Monday Brief highlights the CTH assessment of UK’s response to their offer of naval support in the Strait of Hormuz and analysis of JD Vance’s lead in negotiations with Iran, very useful
A country half full of bleeding heart Liberals, fawning over 20 million “immigrants on Welfare with a corrupt and rotted out election system and incompetent geriatric Kongress will NEVER achieve the greatness they believe they are!
Profound.
We just have to tell the NOT Federal and not RESERVE, we ain’t paying.
I don’t know any other way than ,a taxpayer boycot. Starve the Beast!?…
I really think change is coming , one kind or another.🔫$¿
Definitely massive fraud, why else do you suppose our “leaders” refuse to acknowledge and correct rigged elections?
I would also point out that everything “free” in socialist countries, like their health care and medications, is funded entirely by US taxpayers. Meanwhile, our costs go through the roof and they have the nerve to pretend they can no longer fund social security and medicare for our own senior citizens!
US citizens work 2-3 jobs per household to keep afloat while Europeans take daily siestas and three month vacations.
They also demand the finest quality foods in Europe while the same corporations will intentionally send their cheapest, worst quality products to the USA.
Sugar-Daddy days are over.
Concur. The main beneficiaries are all of those multinational corporations IMO. They use the safe sea lanes (thanks, US Navy!) to transport their goods built hither and yon, for example. And why are they built hither and yon? Because labor is cheaper out in the third world, and safe passage makes it cheaper to transport the finished goods back here.
The net effect is to use our own tax dollars to strip us of a thriving middle class. It’s why drug use in rural areas has become endemic.
Screw that. We’ve “tried” this for years already. I don’t want to be the world’s policeman anymore.
On the contrary I agree wth you, the question is how do we get share in the costs of doing so. It isn’t only European NATO members and Canada that have benefitted from the U.S. being the policeman.
NATO members did not allow the use of the United States’ own military bases or even to fly over member countries. Shouldn’t that automatically nullify any mutual protection agreement?
The members of NATO would not support the United States with their military assets and they also prevented America from using our own based in NATO countries.
How many ways can Europe violate the treaty and not be held accountable?
Do you really think we needed their permission?
No, but the request of it revealed reality. Harder to pretended.
Yeah, good point. My first thought about your question is what would the euro weenies do if we chose to place more troops and equipment all over Europe and deploy wherever we need to? Are they going to shoot us down or send in their troops to force us out?
Hah, highly unlikely. Most likely they would whine to the U.N. Lol.
The agreement is among the nations that signed onto NATO as supposedly equal participants based on equitably shared expense and responsibility to form a united front in defending the interests of their mutual security.
Security can also apply to energy security of member nations. That’s why President Trump boldly and honestly told NATO “get your own oil”, since they would not participate in a joint effort to overthrow a terrorist extremist state that has been threatening the security of the world.
“The agreement is among the nations that signed onto NATO as supposedly equal participants based on equitably shared expense and responsibility to form a united front in defending the interests of their mutual security.
Security can also apply to energy security of member nations.”
Yes, but *equitably based on each member’s GDP, which is not really very equitable. Especially taking into consideration that none have really paid their fair share over the decades of NATO’S existence.
I say can it. The sooner the better.
Yes. I think if you are part of an alliance, mutual respect is part of the unwritten agreement.
If your partner tells you “respect our sovereignty”, therefore we cannot access our military base without violating the sovereignty of the host nation, the only solution is to exit the untenable agreement.
You make excellent observations here. IMO, NATO is a worn out rag that should be tossed in the burn pile.
Well, on that note: How many $$BILLIONS in fraud can be stolen from the American people by the folks in Minnesota (not to mention California, New York & the rest) – and not be held accountable?
WHEN is the reckoning to begin? We ALL know it’s long overdue but still all I hear is crickets.
Both need to be addressed simultaneously, waste and fraud. They are not mutually exclusive.
Being the world’s policeman has bankrupted us. The reason Europe has gone commie is that we have subsidized their national defense for 80 years now, allowing them to use their own money to create enormous socialist benefit structures in their countries, something that has been terrible for their populations as they have become addicted to feeding at the government trough.
The net result of this misuse of taxpayer dollars has been the creation of enemies where once we had friends, and as PS says 37 trillion in debt. It has been a completely disastrous policy that must come to an end.
We’ve been assigned to play the role of ‘The World’s Policemen” because look at how well it’s all worked out for them.
And I’d like to remind everyone that this is the complete opposite of what we’re supposed to be doing if we’re actually following our own Constitution.
Yes, so true. The “Tree of Liberty” is crying out to be watered but…
…but is on fire.
We are not bankrupt. Our debt is in the pockets of fraud and corruption mostly. Have you not been following the money trails over the last years? The illegals were fully funded with no problem.
We are in a box of our own design. We have run up $39T in debt, in part due to our military expenditures on behalf of others. The only way we don’t go bankrupt is that we are the only superpower in the world and hold the reserve currency. We need to balance our budget, and be judicious in who or what we defend.
Those sales go to our own military contractors. Our poorest people live better than most of the richest in China or Russia. Watch a documentary on a Russian sub commander’s private life. His car and apartment wouldn’t even equal one that one of our welfare baby mama gets.
I’m starting to like you. The old saying that poor black communities are the way they are die to poverty is total BS. I’ve been watching police videos on you tube. The 14 yo pulled over driving a Mercedes with 12 grand in his pocket is not poor. I then saw a Rap video it was all about well you know.
‘THANK YOU FOR THE WISDOM.
Indeed.
I liken the world to your teeth. You can save money/time by not brushing or going to the dentist, but there’s a very good chance there’s a whole lot of expensive pain in your future.
PDJT47’s approach makes a lot of sense to me. We are ready to step in when it suits our interests, but the rest of the world needs to take responsibility for themselves.
Staying with your analogy, it’s time the Eu and UK get braces.
Not sure if you’ve been paying attention to the shift, but the US is already single handedly DOING the World police work w/Venezuala, Panama, the Cartel (boats anyone?), the EU, China, Iran. Has anyone seen the likes of this in our time? NATO is redundant and a squandering institution.
The difference now is that we are doing America’s police work around the world.
Venezuela? Our problem. Panama? Same. Both had connections to communist china, which is REALLY our problem. Iran? Yup, our problem, too. Blasting 0bama’s pals into smithereens benefits the world, but we aren’t doing it so Belgium can have cheaper gas – we’re doing it to end the forever war that jimmeh carter started.
Obama dropped 26,000 bombs on Muslim nations in his last year in office. Just because the media hit that doesn’t mean it didn’t happen.
Trump succeeded in Venezuela and he will in Iran.
How about we instead stop the corruption that then requires us to be the world’s policemen- THIS is what is going on.
Don’t you understand the money that they make by forcing us to be the world’s policemen?
How about we don’t allow them to create these conditions?
How about we bust up their racket that has done all this.
Because power is magnetic to the corruptible… as long as we’re the most powerful nation on earth, the corruptible will flock to our government.
Our law enforcement agencies are funded in greater part by the tax payers within the jurisdiction of those agencies. The cost is borne by those the police provide their services for.
Not so with this world. We bear the significant majority of the cost alone.
That is part of why PTrump is so hated by people, domestic as well as foreign – if we are going to provide the police protection against an aggressor nation/alliance, then those asking/demanding the service need to pay up.
What a novel thought!
Europe has for 80 years depended upon the US military to be the muscle that rescues them from the BBG’s (Big Bad Guys) and to enforce European order upon the world, all the while tut-tutting about how backward, how redneck we Americans are.
What the current Ukraine and Iran conflicts illustrate is that NATO is all about Europe’s desire to control American diplomatic and military policy for their own benefit, not for any American goal. If America has goals, it’d best be in line with European thought.
NATO is all about control of the US, not about mutual benefit.
It’s much like the person pulled over for a traffic stop, and telling the officer that, because the taxpayer pays their salary, they shouldn’t have to be hassled by law enforcement for breaking the law…but demands police go after other drivers driving in “unapproved” manners.
Europe is a one-way street; other countries enjoy the convenience of our money and military for their own benefits, but couldn’t lift a finger to reciprocate in kind.
You do make a point that needs to be considered, no matter on which side of the question one lands.
Withdrawing from NATO doesn’t necessarily change how we act across the world. We are still the major power and force but we don’t need to pay for everything either. Let them hire us if they need help militarily. Pay upfront for what the USA can bring to the fight.
Rrspectfully disagree.
We do not need anything the world has. We are, self sufficient and should close the borders to just about everything unless there is a benefit for us.
I’m not interested in raising other people’s feral children.
I believe the British Empire was once called ‘the punjab of the world’ …ie, the World Police. How did that workout for them?
The USA is much better positioned to “have concern” for the world along with supporting other independent national states by looking after economics, including banking, natural resources such as oil, gas, coal, uranium, etc., safe navigation of oceans, clean water, true scientific “climate change” by restoring the decades of real research on both catastrophic and cyclic climate changes that affect and can end civilizations. Furthermore, USA can end the multiple criminal enterprises that NATO has been supporting, including illegal immigration, drugs, bioweapons labs, etc., etc., etc.
Thank you, President Trump
No. NATO and the World used our policing to abuse and control the USA to their benefit and our demise. No other country is in bondage as the victor of war to take care of and do penance, sometimes for centuries, of the losing country. It is the victor equivalent of “white guilt” and have been apologizing ever since the Revolutionary War. The same after WW11. We finished that and we ended up being responsible for Japan, for the country that attacked USA. How did that turn out? Without worry about protecting their own country they rapidly rose to manufacturing and education superiority, allthewhile maintaining some semblance of a moral-coded society and familial structure that only highlights our country’s debauchery. The USA is merely paying protection money and benefits to think we are the World police.
This owing for being victorious is even evident with Mexico, just not officially. But, oh, the stuff we have allowed and again, at our own demise and forced servitude.
Enabling Europe to be spoiled, condescending, lazy and weak is not a good idea.
If the US should start a draw down of deployments to Europe, it is a shame the cost would likely be prohibitive to repeat the manner of our withdrawal from France, when they left NATO in 1966.
At the time the US withdrew, the US not only removed our troops we literally dismantled and demolished major installations as we departed.
That is preferable to Joint Base Kandahar, Afghanistan…..
NATO died a long time ago.
The question had become what does a post-NATO USA Defense posture look like?
Replacing NATO with a number of parallel bilateral treaties seems to make sense. That would recognize the profound imbalance between the European individual state’s drawdown into dependency and the USA’s parental role in the bargain.
Hey France, Hey Germany, Hey Poland, Hey UK – you want to shelter behind the USA Defense, well this is what you get to do (and what you get to pay) .
It was a special sort of stupid that returned the control of Europe to the Europeans after each of their wars.
Taking control would seem a less bloody way to do what needs to be done.
In all due respect, I’ve heard that question asked in the Treehouse , for Years.
And don’t forget Turkey is a NATO member…
Making Turkey a NATO member was all about putting missiles on the southern border of the old Soviet Union. It was about geopolitical strategy, nothing less. And, at the time, Islam was largely contained to Muslim countries.
Now, keeping Turkey a NATO ally makes as much sense as putting a bullet into one’s own brain….
Turkey is another case of European arrogance. Turkey truly sits at the crossroads of civilizations. Atatürk secularized it after WWI, decided Turkey’s future belonged in the West.
Very violent and coercive policies towards the people to break the grip of the Islamists, some say it was brutal. But it worked, Turkey became liberalized, western orientation, eventually allies and part of NATO.
But they wanted more. They wanted to be part of the EU and share in the economic prosperity. The EU strung them out, made them think they were close, just one small change away. Became a Lucy-Charlie Brown football thing.
The Turks who had come to believe they were European and deserved to be in the EU felt slighted, played like fools. Resentment built. Islamic governance long ago banned, not even conceivable became conceivable. They had lived their entire lives looking West for their future but began to look East again for their future.
Bans on Islamists passed under Ataturk were repealed. This all happening at the same time Bush’s war invasion of Iraq was being planned. The initial plans had included opening a military front from Turkey along with an invasion force from Kuwait and the Persian Gulf.
Turkey was at a decision point, East or West orientation? After decades of being in an abusive relationship with the Euroweenies and the US taking them for granted they denied the US using Turkey for and invasion of Iraq. Two front war plans had to be scuttled at the last minute, and the war in Iraq became what it became, long drawn out affair, Saddam and his forces eventually flushed out of their spidey holes.
Islamist Erdogan came to power and the rest is history. Turkey looks to the East now for its future, the West and EU proved to be unreliable and only a one-way street relationship where Turkey would always lose.
Can’t blame them. EU nations have always been unreliable, one-way street relationships. Turkey figured it out before the US did.
Now get the US 100% out of Ukraine, green light Putin to take all he wants from that corrupt, Nazi-infested, biolab pathogen-cooking hellhole.
Europe no longer shares US values. They are hostile to US interests and values, are unreliable, one-way street grifters. We have no business being allies with them; They are much closer to adversaries than friends. F ’em.
Turkey is at least trying to be helpful diplomatically just now with the Iran conflict.
Defining “helpful diplomatically just now with the Iran conflict” is required.
Just who exactly is Turkey trying to help? And, why?
I believe we are at a prophetic crossroads, and Turky is no friend of the USA when it comes to the Iran conflict. None, whatsoever.
Turkey is trying to position itself as leader of the Islamic world. Erdogan sees himself returning Turkey to the greatness of the Ottoman empire.
There is always a competition among Islamic countries for who will be seen as the leader. The Saudis have money. Egypt has population. Iran has history and technology. Pakistan has nukes. Each of them jockey for primacy.
With the Iran war, Iran has been knocked down. Saudi Arabia is a party to the war and much of their oil exports are blocked. Turkey, Egypt and Pakistan have each tried stepping in as mediators.
NATO is like a spoiled, overindulged child who takes its parents’ generosity for granted and always expects more.
As long as the parents continue to indulge them, give them more, while expecting little in return.
Eventually, the child believes his parents are there to serve him and him alone.
Worse, the child starts making demands on the parents and also refuses to listen to them.
This will continue until the parents take a stand and say, NO MORE.
I hope President Trump takes a stand and does not back down.
Reminds me of a neighbor who moved here to get away from an indulgent and mature young son. After going to work one day, the son came home to people moving into what used to be his home. My neighbor and his wife never told the son where they moved to.
And, of course, what prior administrations encouraged:
https://worldtribune.com/disinformation-no-longer-pentagon-confirms-there-are-46-u-s-funded-biolabs-in-ukraine/
biolab bioweapons:
https://www.bv.com/en-US/projects/btric-ukraine
Sen. Barack Obama and Sen. Richard Lugar (R) sponsored the legislation that enabled these labs. They were biological research labs that were theoretically to focus on agricultural research. What transpired later, who knows. But the early Ukraine War denials of their existence does make one wonder.
Do you remember when B Hussein flew planeloads of doctors into the USA who had been exposed to the deadly Ebola virus? This highly contagious virus had previously been confined to subsaharan Africa for decades.
These doctors were then tracked by the “honor system” as they gallivanted around the USA.
It did not go well. The CDC then changed it’s Ebola description to conceal how infectious cough droplets are. As people across the country became symptomatic, Obama ordered a news blackout, and that was that.
Didnt the previous administration write something into fine print somewhere that the U.S. cannot get out of NATO?
I’m sure the overarching contract states something about other countries being in default. Which they all are. You can’t stop the US from withdrawing from a contract that was violated by the other party.
Was it in auto pen?
Nope
Congress and the autopen passed a law that the President cannot leave NATO without Congressional consent. It was done specifically to stop PDJT if he were to win the election.
Well, it appears the US is under an emergency…..
Yup.
Another thing to correct under reconciliation.
Well, our President did win the election and has since worked diligently and tirelessly to clean up the mess made by the globalist slime within our nation, despite the many roadblocks imposed upon him and us by the NWO faction within.
The fight continues on.
I imagine the Commander in Chief could order units back to the US and hollow out our presence in Europe. You would see a quick change of attitude as the first order is given. Does anyone know if the NATO treaty binds us to a specific number of troops and planes or ships? Perhaps we could invest some of the savings in a more robust sea and airlift capability to counter any mischief from our friend Vlad or any potential adversary.
Although the Senate must ratify a treaty by a 2/3 majority, a President can abrogate a treaty. It’s been done in the past.
This then turns to the question: do we need to get out of NATO or can we just scale back our NATO commitments to basically nothing?
Nobody said we couldn’t do the latter, right?
This will of course cause a reaction within our NATO partners that may get us exactly what we want without going to too much trouble to get it ourselves — in either direction. They’ll either shape up, and/or we’ll tailor our commitments to parity with them (aka. less than nothing), or they’ll destroy the alliance themselves in a fit of stompy feet (don’t put this one past them). Win-win situation for us.
President Trump negotiated a “Most Favored Nation” deal for pharmaceutical drug prices. The US will pay whatever is the lowest price being charged worldwide.
He should declare the same MFN deal with NATO. The US will pay into NATO whatever the lowest-paying NATO member pays.
Every single leader of the European countries that are denying the help the US is asking for are globalists. That is why they are denying the US use of the bases. They are globalists and their agenda is the destruction of America as it was founded, therefore they WILL NOT HELP US EVER and in fact will do whatever they can to hurt us. Sans Hungry, they are all globalists.
NATO
Let’s turn out the lights the PARTY IS OVER .
NATO is just another USAID welfare program to enrich people and governments.
Just like the UN it’s beyond time to completely remove them all.
Short and to the point. Sometimes you wonder how they can still come up with alternate reasons but somehow they do. Thank you Rubio for saying what is and why.
NATO is just another USAID welfare program to enrich people and governments.
Just like the UN it’s beyond time to completely remove them.
one country guaranteeing another’s security is absolute insanity. it makes sense for globalism, but not for sovereignty.
another point: alliances are one of the top 10 reasons a country may be brought into a war. they should be few and expire frequently.
Dear Marco…..we should not be there(NATO)since 1992…when pesky Evil Empire ended….and rather “renew”Monroe Doctrine…..
btw Russians send submarine to Strait Hormuz …100,000 Chinese troops with 5,000Chechen warriors are ready “welcome”our troops -Hal Turner Radio Show today…….VSGPDJT will have a speech to the nation in at 9:00PM..
I don’t tend to take Facebook posts and the word of Hal Turner too seriously.
I am so looking forward to President Trump’s address to the people. Hopefully, it will involve some major changes to the status-quo.
Good. NATO has outlived its usefulness. And Europe is on its way to becoming a third world country. We have enough problems here at home. All that NATO money could fund a lot of deportations.
…also our hope is get out of Middle East too..since IDF is very well armed..and have a surplus genius in the Army….see pronews.gr english translation available
.
About time! Finally, an administrative team that is willing to pull the plug.
MAGA Fabulous! GET OUT OF NATO, NOW!!
To me it’s not so much NATO as a concept, but what it became, an extension of the Marshall Plan. This has allowed these countries to create a “Socialist Utopia” on our dime.
Now the music has stopped and the EU is left without a chair. Like us, as commanded by their masters in Brussels/WEF their ancient cultures have been invaded by 3rd world Islamo-Goons that are latching on, as parasites do, and are killing off the host.
Not another dime until the EU participates in their own preservation.
Nazi Nato US contractors. NATO also assisted with these war criminal actions, completing much of what the Nazis tried to do in the Balkans in WWII. NATO was supposed to be a “Defensive alliance” also no NATO members in the Balkans at that time.
U.S. Mercenaries Accused of Abetting Genocide
(Military Professional Resources Incorporated)
https://www.courthousenews.com/u-s-mercenaries-accused-of-abetting-genocide/
Is there in fact any strategic or economic national interest to Europe? Outside of historical ties and ancestry, what do they matter?
Which is more in our national interest to maintain good relations with in 2026? Islamified Europe, or Russia? Which can help us more, and which can hurt us more?
America has been used, abused and controlled in a way that a battered spouse is.
It’s like a text book case of abuse when you really think about it.
We’ve had weak minded and dirty corrupt people, predators really- making decisions for decades now.
We’ve been sold a shit sandwich and they’ve either fallen for it or saw it and used it for the potential for theft, power and corruption.
The long and the short of it is that we’ve been used, abused, and then captured and held there because what they’ve all built has worked out so well for them all- but for the American tax payer, for our country as a whole, we’ve been not only devastated but also hollowed out and tremendously weakened.
So a lot has been accomplished here for them, they’ve used us to fund damn near the entire planet and it’s broken our backs.
So this giant has been slowed down a whole lot because we’ve been enslaved and worked like the tax donkeys we are.
I see NATO as chains that bind us, I see it all as chains that have bound us. I see them doing nothing and not even paying the bills, they won’t get their own oil, let us use their bases, help us to help them and wtf is all this? It’s entirely and wholly nothing at all that it’s supposed to be. The relationships aren’t even that, this is toxic and dysfunction.
Don’t forget that the Freedom that our country was built upon has pissed them off from day one.
I see it all as nothing but a means to capture free people to work them as slaves to fund lavish social benefits for others along
with enriching all the managerial class and designers of it all. All it all is and all we are is a revenue stream created by bullshit stories and manufactured proxy scenarios trumpeted by what has always been a media working against us and for them.
See the big picture here so that we can solve this.
Spot on.
“We’ve had weak minded and dirty corrupt people, predators really- making decisions for decades now.
We’ve been sold a shit sandwich and they’ve either fallen for it or saw it and used it for the potential for theft, power and corruption.”
Exactly! And therein lies the rub.
Starmer said, “This is not our war.” What’s to become of the rest of Europe without a Charles Martel (Us as NATO)?
We are approaching an historical watershed moment for the realignment of states.

“Under no circumstances can a country run by radical Shia Clerics with an apocalyptic vision of the future ever possess nuclear weapons.” Marco Rubio
Why Iran is being hammered?
The disquieting existential threat to the West posed by the Islamic regime in Iran, but moreover the threat to our shared cultural memory, constantly percolates beneath the surface. Perhaps, Rubio’s speech in Munich two weeks prior to the strike on Iran presaged the attack, and what may come now in the future.
On Charles (The Hammer) Martel’s victory at Tours 732:
“Had Charles Martel failed, Henry Hallam argued, there would have been no Charlemagne, no Holy Roman Empire or Papal States; all these depended upon Charles’s containment of Islam from expanding into Europe while the Caliphate was unified and able to mount such a conquest.” teacherinabox.org
I don’t connect bases with NATO. Those “agreements” are with individual nations. Depending on the country in question, we have the right to operate those bases. America bled for Europe. It did not need to.
We should partner with Poland. They are strong and we aligned on interests. Also, Europe should have its own mutual defense treaty. Should have done that in 1800’s.
not with current prime minister who did verbal attack on Orban last week… he is same as Macron !!!!!
“Why forgo the advantages of so peculiar a
situation? Why quit our own to stand upon foreign
ground? Why, by interweaving our destiny with that
of any part of Europe, entangle our peace and
prosperity in the toils of European ambition, rivalship,
interest, humor, or caprice?
It is our true policy to steer clear of permanent
alliances with any portion of the foreign world—so
far, I mean, as we are now at liberty to do it—for let
me not be understood as capable of patronizing
infidelity to existing engagements (I hold the maxim
no less applicable to public than to private affairs, that
honesty is always the best policy)—I repeat it
therefore, let those engagements be observed in their
genuine sense. But in my opinion it is unnecessary
and would be unwise to extend them.
Taking care always to keep ourselves, by suitable
establishments, on a respectably defensive posture, we
may safely trust to temporary alliances for
extraordinary emergencies.”
Washington’s Farewell Address
I fully agree with President Washington on this. We don’t have to be isolationists but neither do we have to fight for other nations across the world. Only when absolutely necessary should we do so.
We are not in NATO to extend the Marshall Welfare Plan.
And we are certainly not in NATO to extend the Soros/Clinton Plan of attacking patriotic countries WITHIN Europe for the World Mafia.
European governments are attacking their own citizens with Globalism, Communism and Islam. Not to mention Trans, Deindustrialization, Vaxx and Censorship. It is incumbent on us not to act as security guards enabling such tyranny.
The only reason for NATO now is if we decide we need to remove those tyrannies in America’s interest.
You will be informed.
Thank you for your attention etc,
Psalm 2
We speak Your Peace, Your Way, Father God, in the Name of our Mighty King Jesus and His Kingdom, Amen and Amen!
If the US exits NATO (God willing), it will strike a blow to Europe’s socialist economies when they realize they can no longer afford their social programs without other people’s money propping up their national defense.
They are addicted so its time we hit them with a bonafide 12 step program…no more.
Cold turkey would be much more entertaining??
tough love gives choices with consequences
NATO (and the EU) is just a manipulative vehicle for the NWO.
It used to be the closest allies of the United States were Canada and the UK. Now, objectively, our closest allies are Japan, and Israel. NATO is relevant for the military bases, geographically, that’s most of it. No one believes Putin is going to invade Europe, so the purpose of NATO these days a question mark.
Why does NATO go on 35 years after it’s enemy had dissolved itself. Did the competition coalitions in the 7 Years War continue on after the end of that one. The hell, one side collapsed before the war was over!!
How about the Grand Alliance against Napoleon; did that last even 35 days after Waterloo? And what was the result of that. Did France recover and run roughshod over Europe? In fact, a 100 year period called LA Belle Epoch occurred
And the reason this epoch csme to an end was not due to a lack of alliances, but the exact opposite!! The system of alliances themselves triggered WW1. BTW, THIS is the scenthat should be credited with the mess in Ukraine
NATO and the Military Industrial Complex are linked together. The US has spent countless trillions supporting other countries. Meanwhile our own country is falling apart.
If a few of those trillions had been spent right here at home rebuilding infrastructure and providing jobs we would be in a better environment.
It’s worse than that. It’s always cheaper to maintain something (infrastructure) than to rebuild it after it’s fallen into disrepair.
I predicted this coming up to some friends when Pres. Trump deliberately asked for their cooperation and help defending the Strait, keeping it open. It seemed so obvious what he was doing to reveal the NATO countries who would snub him thinking they finally got a chance to pay him back for ignoring them on other world matters.
The Trump administration couldn’t just withdraw the USA from NATO unless there was a very good reason to do so. Well, the EU just provided a few. By not allowing the use of our bases and air space for our military staging operations, saying no they wouldn’t help with the Strait of Hormuz, the NATO countries who said no broke the very heart of the NATO contract which is to support and defend other NATO allies when asked by a fellow member. Oops.
The stupid leaders who said no just made a huge mistake in their reliance on US dollars and defense expenses. If Congress raises a stink if Pres. Trump withdraws the USA from NATO, then just shut down every bit of financing to NATO that we can. Close the bases and bring our guys home or set up new ones in more friendly countries like Hungary. Take the economic benefits of U.S. bases and personnel away from the offensive snobs who said NO.
I am praying hard that Pres. Trump says “contract broken, see ya’.” Come hire us if you need some help down the road with anything militarily. We might help you out but you will pay upfront for the costs of doing so and you’d better have your own military involved too.
American taxpayers are the primary funders of NATO. We receive virtually nothing of value in return.
If “America First” means anything it certainly means that we must cut ties with NATO.
We own and pay for our military bases. We should use them whether they like it or not, or withdraw our military bases.
Not only that, somewhere around 1945 ce
, U.S. Forces took by force of arms the areas where these bases exist. NATO? Pfft.
War is fundamentally a mugging.
NATO was first and foremost intended to protect Europe from the Soviet Union and the Warsaw Pact. When those entities ceased to exist, NATO should have been dissolved and individual treaties negotiated as needed. Many Western European countries no longer reflect values that once made them valuable to us (the UK is a prime example). Let them defend themselves. Frankly, the same goes for Canada, Australia, New Zealand. The utility of “Five Eyes” intelligencd sharing needs to be re-evaluated.
The frogs reply…
France says NATO not designed for Strait of Hormuz operations
NATO is not designed to carry out operations in the Strait of Hormuz, France’s junior army minister said on Wednesday.
“It is a military alliance concerned with the security of the Euro-Atlantic region. (she fails to say the agreement of all NATO countries to protect other NATO countries).
It is not designed to carry out operations in the Strait of Hormuz,” Alice Rufo said, adding such action could breach international law.
Her comments come after Donald Trump said he is considering pulling the United States out of NATO after allies did not back US military action against Iran.
(Sounds like the EU wanted out of NATO commitments. I sense they will regret their cowardly decision)
Using our own bases as staging and refueling areas is not the same as defending the Strait of Hormuz. Neither is closing airspace to an ally. The NATO countries mad a big mistake and hopefully they get what they deserve.

Then, perhaps the EU will do for us what Congress doesn’t have the will to do – dissolve NATO from their own side.
The very next step after stating we cannot use an ally’s airspace, or bases within their country as a staging point, is asking us to remove our presence from their country.
It’s all about EU control over American policy at this point. Any idea of a mutual benefit is gone. If the EU cannot discern that Iran’s IRBM’s constitute an eminent and present danger (particularly if tipped with a nuke), then they have zero understanding what threats the EU faces with a NATO umbrella.
Take away that umbrella, and let them discover this the hard way. Sometimes, people NEED to have their fingers burned before they learn not to touch what burns.
Think how much we can save by not having military bases and personnel all over the world. We are not only paying 2/3 of NATO, but our military bases are putting $billions into these economies meanwhile they tariff our goods.
NATO is the EUCaliphate…we are supporting Islamic takeover of Europe….we need to get out now
congress would need to amend law bc bf Trump became 45, Marco led the charge to lock 🇺🇸in w NATO
and you know congress and rogue judges, and even scotus, will block him and rubion and hegseth from doing this
Congress cannot block troop and resource re-deployments. They can only block money.
I will think SCOTUS will think twice about intruding on this particular part of Executive authority – Commander-in-Chief discretion.
I’m not sure, but I don’t think President Trump needs to withdraw from Nato or shut down any bases. Just deploy the assets and people to “where they are most needed” [wink, wink, nudge, nudge].
Perhaps bring back everything to the States for “training exercises”.
Anyhow, I’m sure someone on the Trump Team is already working on a strategy to get around CON-gress and the fudges.
US out of UN…..
US out of NATO….
Watch them both FAIL…..
NO MERCY!
Time to get out of NATO and the UN. The rest of the world needs to grow up and take care of themselves and keep their grubby hands off of our piggy bank. Anyone remember–Freedom Fries??
The USA, if Trump decides to withdraw from NATO, will only last as long as there is a Republican President elected in 2028. If not, what prevents a democrat president to step back into NATO, nothing.
The President can legally withdraw from the NATO treaty without Senate approval. However, if a future President wants to rejoin, I believe it would have to be ratified by the Senate again, which has not been done since 1949.
There are two things going on here: 1. Trump was too honest and direct with Europe, forcing them to pay their fair share for NATO and pointing out that their leftist/Marxist policies were hurting them and their citizens. So a lot of EU leaders were left with butt hurt by too many truths. 2. More importantly this decision to punish the U.S. is directed at everyone but Trump, a warning, a threat. You better start giving us free stuff and special trading status or we will turn against you. This is directed at congress and the next president because they know Trump is not going to give in to them. A warning; bow down to the New World Order or get stabbed in the back.
I think Eisenhower said if NATO exists after 10 years it would mean it had failed in its mission and purpose. NATO was effectively terminated at the birth of the EU, a carbuncle on Europe that has destroyed civil order and the rule of law.
“The NATO membership is now a one-way street where they demand our military protection, but Europe blocks us from using our own military assets for our independent operations.”
This is the difference that makes the difference and asks the question, “does the US need NATO”.
Yes it may need to utilize the Nation State area of certain NATO countries and No, as a buddy that will not back oneself up in a fist fight. I am sure though that a deal can be reached to utilize land and air space for a project here and there.
Some have long understood the purpose of NATO was to facilitate the purpose of the UN; which was established to achieve the destruction of nation states and secure Global Order.
