Ukraine is not a member of NATO. The United States is the leading force within NATO. Most recently President Trump has repeatedly said that he is brokering missile sales to NATO for transfer to, and use from, Ukraine against Russia.
To wit, President Donald Trump has authorized NATO member states to deploy offensive missile systems into non-NATO Ukraine, provided by the U.S. In the latest development, U.S. Special Envoy for Ukraine General Keith Kellogg has announced Ukraine has the authority to launch those missile systems deep into Russia, including Moscow.
According to General Kellogg, President Trump is authorizing NATO to strike Moscow with U.S. missiles, launched from Ukraine. How is Ukraine not a proxy war between NATO and Russia? WATCH (prompted):
This is escalating madness. We are reasonably intelligent and pragmatic people. We have the objective capability to look at the issues from both sides of the equation. Look at this issue from the perspective of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The U.S. provides the missiles. The U.S. approves the missile locations in Ukraine. The U.S. authorizes the targets of the missiles from their location. NATO provides the satellite guidance system. Ukraine targets Moscow and launches the missiles.
How is President Trump not directly responsible for a NATO proxy war against Russia?
The only way for President Trump to make the ‘accountability monkey’ jump now, is to exit NATO.
The reason why the EU member states of NATO want escalated war with Russia is financial and economic. Through policy and ideology, the EU/NATO members have walked themselves into an economic dead end. They are out of assets to leverage. The only way out for the EU/NATO leadership is to create a war to erase debt, expand assets and reset the economics.

If Trump has indeed in effect committed the USA to direct strikes against Moscow with the aim of helping Ukraine restore its borders then we were tricked–he is not who he said he was and what we thought he was.
Keith Kellogg and his grifting daughter are who we always suspected they were. They still are.
This is a trick. Russia wants a pretext to nuke the U.S. along with China’s assistance. This is a dangerous mistake.
Will the use of Tomahawks or other US missiles actually change the current situation? How many such missiles would Ukraine need to regain their pre-war territory now occupied by Russia? If the impact is expected to be minimal, we may be overreacting.
Nuclear-capable missiles does NOT mean nuclear strike on Russia will happen. However, it is truly stupid / irresponsible that supply of such missiles is announced without clarification / commitment that nuclear warheads will NOT be provided / used.
The UK & EU have opposed past efforts of negotiated peace. Ukraine would be more flexible if UK / EU worked with PDJT rather than against. Our focus should be on getting UK / EU onboard – Ukraine will follow.
The whole concept of ‘weakening Russia militarily’ increases the chances of a nuclear war. A weak nuclear power may implement a lower threshold for use of nukes.
PDJT is against prolonged wars and always has been. I trust him and am hoping this trust is not betrayed.
Tomahawks are deployed by ship or B-52, unless the Trump Administration is dropping all pretenses that he is escalating our war against Russia, its’ just dangerous rhetoric.
If he orders the deployment of the truck deployed Typhoon version and attempts to move these systems into Ukraine they, and their American crews will be annihilated.
Russian air defense proved effective in dealing with this weapon system when we were supporting the al Qaeda-Nusra-ISIS terror groups we armed and funded in Syria to topple Assad.
Russian command has to assume these weapons are nuclear armed, as their use is a clear reaction of panic in Washington. The consequences of actions and reactions is insanely dangerous for our country to initiate. For what?
There is no number big enough in actuality.
For one thing if Ukraine could fire enough to regain all that land, by deep-strikes alone. Then Russia could fire off enough to basically turn Ukraine into “big Gaza”. No logistics, no electricity no nuffen.
Besides Tomahawks are mostly sea-launched, ground launchers are rare and the missiles aren’t modern.
The US has more modern stuff and the Ukies have already had more modern missile from Europe.
The Russians mostly just shrugged and shot em down.
well that kind of thinking didn’t work out well for Napoleon or Hitler, Russia is too big and too well armed to be defeated, and if China gets involved that is another problem, remember WW2 when the Japanese attack on the USA that didn’t work out well, e either, we need to leave the warmongers in NATO fight their own wars that they want to start, and stop funding Ukraine. We lost too many people with the wars in the middle east and Vietnam
Seeing how NATO is a huge drain on our treasury and its’ use as a constant destabilizing force to create unnecessary conflicts in Europe, we need to end our membership and support.
Just look at the incomprehensible incompetence of Rutte, or any of the previous CEOs of this “alliance”. EU leadership is just as incompetent and despotic.
What is President Trump backtracking on this? I’m frustrated because I thought he wants peace not warmongering. This has dragged on too long.
I have to wonder who the H3LL is whispering in Trump’s ear this time.
This will end up backfiring. Sadly I fear if Trump sides with Ukraine, this will end up backfiring worse then the VAX did.
If you look at the comments on this same topic on Fox News they are overwhelmingly pro-war, anti-Russia and promote the false narrative that Russia is losing the war. I suspect that a large number of them are being paid to post where conservatives hang out – perhaps some are posting here and on Breitbart. Who is paying them? I don’t think it’s Soros or Reid Hoffman this time. The only people in the current administration who are truly anti-war are Tulsi and RFK – from the Democrats. Who or what has bewitched and beguiled Republicans to be so ambivalent about annihilation? Thank you Sundance for standing firm on the truth, you steadfastness is much appreciated!
Keep in mind, if the EU escalates this way, Ukraine will be destroyed along with some of NATO. I don’t think there is support for total war.
If NATO and EU do NOT escalate like this, Russia will likely take what they want in Ukraine with massive destruction.
Either way, Trump has put the EU and NATO in a box where the only way out is a third approach. The EU and NATO must aggressively push for peace. If they were smart, an EU led strong peace initiative would stop the destruction, limit Russian advances, spare thousands of lives, and finally end the war.
The EU and NATO must take a different direction or they lose. I believe PDJT feels that NATO and EU are in no position to allow a catastrophe and this strategy makes NATO/EU put up or shut up. Let’s see how smart or dumb they are.
Didn’t Netanyahu refer to Ukraine as the New Israel — while standing with Zelenskyy … so what is afoot exactly ?
The Ukraine is still a NAZ I controlled country!
