Ukraine is not a member of NATO. The United States is the leading force within NATO. Most recently President Trump has repeatedly said that he is brokering missile sales to NATO for transfer to, and use from, Ukraine against Russia.
To wit, President Donald Trump has authorized NATO member states to deploy offensive missile systems into non-NATO Ukraine, provided by the U.S. In the latest development, U.S. Special Envoy for Ukraine General Keith Kellogg has announced Ukraine has the authority to launch those missile systems deep into Russia, including Moscow.
According to General Kellogg, President Trump is authorizing NATO to strike Moscow with U.S. missiles, launched from Ukraine. How is Ukraine not a proxy war between NATO and Russia? WATCH (prompted):
This is escalating madness. We are reasonably intelligent and pragmatic people. We have the objective capability to look at the issues from both sides of the equation. Look at this issue from the perspective of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The U.S. provides the missiles. The U.S. approves the missile locations in Ukraine. The U.S. authorizes the targets of the missiles from their location. NATO provides the satellite guidance system. Ukraine targets Moscow and launches the missiles.
How is President Trump not directly responsible for a NATO proxy war against Russia?
The only way for President Trump to make the ‘accountability monkey’ jump now, is to exit NATO.
The reason why the EU member states of NATO want escalated war with Russia is financial and economic. Through policy and ideology, the EU/NATO members have walked themselves into an economic dead end. They are out of assets to leverage. The only way out for the EU/NATO leadership is to create a war to erase debt, expand assets and reset the economics.

Sundance: “This is escalating madness.”
Yes, and perfectly timed with the pro-EU election results in Moldova.
Sick of being NATO’s bitch.
Real Russians in Russia paying homage to a great American band, Chicago:
Love the band Chicago, and love this Russian rendition of one of their best songs! Thanks for sharing.
I am still saddened by the tragic loss of the Alexandrov Choir aboard a downed Soviet air craft in 2016.
Hope “we” had nothing to do with it.
Agree. Chicago!
Now, look at what Chicago is known for.
To all of you musicians out there, I envy you! To be a part of a group, big or small, bad, good, or great….must feel awesome when you’re doing your thing.
AI74 feels the same.
Small local fry but yes, we love it, and it does.
Never performed a Chicago tune yet but we’re not dead yet, you never know…
Easy to coordinate schedules when you know in advance what is coming.
That Moldavian election was as crooked as one in California.
This is right up there with allowing 600,000chicom students in our …universities……
Maybe later. For now, how does kicking out Chinese students help in future negotiations with Xi Jinping? Or the Universities? President Trump will never just throw away a bargaining chip.
The US will not have to remove CCP students from our universities. If we stop them from STEM courses and permit only culturally enriching courses they will remove themselves or the CCP will send them to other countries that will teach an older, less developed form of STEM courses.
The argument is made that some students do not return to the PRC and remain in the USA and work for US businesses and interests. Having found the long term destruction planned through agriculture bio-engineering by CCP students is that risk wise and warranted?
When there is World Peace, NATO will be dismantled. For now it is a valuable negotiation tool for President Trump with Putin. He also needs the UN infrastructure right now for Point 8 of the Gaza peace deal.
That makes sense that Donald Trump is using NATO as a negotiation tool with Russia, but what if that plan doesn’t work out? We know Donald Trump isn’t stupid, what’s the next part of his plan?
What happened to the Peace Talks with Putin? That seemed to be working out.
The moment when the talks were working is over. Putin blew it, seems to me.
However, subsequent bites at the apple occasionally offer themselves.
PDJT adjusts nimbly to facts on the ground. He has my trust.
When NATO becomes the greatest obstacle to world peace, it ceases to be a “valuable negotiation tool”.
Is this tied in with all the generals meeting on tue?
Is WWW3 about to start?
Something is really strange about the Trump 180 turn.
It is insanity to do what Trump has done if its true.
The enemy gets a vote. The Russians just hit an airfield in Ukraine. Destroyed 4 f15s and numerous missle stockpiles. Telegram randos reporting that dozens of nato personell were killed. Of course, nato personell aren’t supposed to be in Ukraine. Anyhoo… I’m suspicous of Kellogg and of this report. Trump said if Russians are in your airspace, shoot them down. He’s not escalating, he’s calling thier bluff. Because Russians aren’t violating thier airspace. Rather they’re staging false flags to try and draw the US into the conflict. And agreeing with Zelensky they can get all of Ukraine back seems kind of tongue in cheek to me. Everyone knows that’s absurd. Just my opinion.
It’s not escalatory either way if nato jets were in Russian airspace they’d shoot them down. The us should do the same
Were they in US airspace?
No intl airspace in the case off the coast of Alaska
uhh, no. That is a lie. When exactly were F-15’s given to Ukraine? never.
You are right the airplanes were not F-15’s, they were F-16’s obtained in August 2024.
General Kellogs’ daughter operates the R.T. Weatherman Foundation whish is paid to recruit mercenaries and repatriate Americans killed or wounded.
I just follow the money. Ukraine is just one giant mafia governed cash laundromat for NATO countries, all of them.
This is neither what President Trump promised nor what I voted for last November.
In fact it is the exact opposite.
What has happened to President Trump?
I repeat: I do not like this. I oppose it.
We haven’t heard it directly from President Trump.
The President can mitigate the confusion by recalling Kellogg from his current position.
Oh, Please, give Kellogg his long overdue rest — and make it lasting and something he’ll enjoy so he can busy himself in his pasture.
The “news” of late seems like it’s written by Biden’s pen.
Is he still up to his old tricks?
New name for him: Tricks Biden; seems fitting.
Good question. PULL OUT.PULL OUT. PULL OUT.
Maybe he woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning? Only the old people here will remember that saying.
…Or …….that PDJT has a more subtle (or hidden) strategy underlying this overt action that few of us in the “hoi poloi” will recognize.
Agree. The PDJT track record has usually worked out this way.
He does sometimes make signals and statements that indicate one direction only to suddenly reveal a trap and actually be moving in a different direction.
We can only watch it play out.
JD Vance’s comment of deploying Tomahawk missiles, which are nuclear capable is very concerning. Not to mention the specific delivery platforms needed for this missile.
I didn’t vote for this either.
Yes. I pray that our Prez & Veep are being intentionally misleading….
I’m 56 years old. We made it through the Cold War until we outlasted communism without a world war. And now, we are going to war with a Russia that isn’t anymore authoritarian than the cultural Marxist governments of our so-called allies in France and Britain. People don’t want this, and they won’t fight and die for Ukraine’s borders. This is a very bad decision that will make Vietnam look like a picnic.
We didn’t outlast communism, we propped it up all the way along.
and I just reminded a young person this morning that the draft is still in effect
and I explained about Vietnam-
young 18+ boys were taken off the streets of suburbia
going to football games, drive in movies, the local custard/burger place
given a uniform and a rifle and told to shoot young people their own
age in a foreign country
then there was the debacle of no air support
We went to Vietnam Nam and our visit happened to coincide with Ho Chi Mins 80th? birthday. Full military was on display, posters extolling sacrifice, display of battles won, photos of American atrocities, marching, bands, vehicles, dancing lots of choreographed dancing with a Chinese North Korea influence. Watching the troops dancing without weapons I wondered, how did we lose… unless it was planned that way.
We used to have fun (?) remarking about the empty suits running our government, calling them derisively “puppets.”
My attitude seems to be getting a wake-up call: Aren’t both they AND we puppets?
Whiplash is settling in along my perch.
I don’t like Zelensky – he is a child trying to get his way and we are fools if we allow that. He definitely has zero cards – there is nothing I can see that is good about him. Why are we treating him as if he were an important person? He is not even the legal president of Ukraine.
… because Putin is refusing to negotiate a peace. He lies to President Trump repeatedly – says he is committed to ending the war. Then he immediately bombs something in which many innocent people are killed.
Be careful from where you get your news.
Just saying.
Weak effort.
Try Harder.
He plays an integral role in the con; and we are all the mark.
A very bad decision that will make WWII look like a picnic.
I’m going to hope that PDT has a strategy… that we don’t see. 🙄
Unless this is a feint by Trump, not what I voted for. Certainly not what I expected. Wow. Just when you think the people that matter closest to DJT read, understand, hopefully agree with the analysis on this site, something like this happens. Unfortunate.
Not our border, not our war.
Not our circus, not our 🐵 monkeys.
Miror mirror on the wall did trump really make the call or was it the cia sfter all?
Really? Do we have some reason to believe that Kellogg is speaking for Trump, that Trump is deciding to destroy his standing with those that put him in office?
I don’t buy it. The pro-globalist, pro-deep state actors on both sides of the Atlantic do this ALLLL the time. They print or declare something to be true that they want to be true in hopes that Trump will be cornered by what they say or write. So far, it hasn’t worked, so I’m wondering why we should think it will work this time.
trump hasnt fired him. thats how we know.
Yet
Not necessarily. Remember why he said he hired Bolton?
Timing is everything.
… could be….
Something is very fishy about this report. It’s not like Trump at all!
After watching the video, this may just be Kellogg’s opinion.
It would be a good idea for PT to clarify this. I would be the first in line to thank him for his attention to it.
If PT and Kellogg differ on this, what is Kellogg still doing in the envoy position?
Trump is possibly creating confusion … so Russia doesn’t know what’s true. PDT oftens writes his intentions & thoughts on Truth Social. He is silent.
That would be Trumpian.
The gathering of the military today, if leak free, should give some pause and cause some FUD as well.
Unless these weapons are programmed to detonate on the launchers, why are we supplying them to nazi Ukraine troops?
100% spot on
Azov
Aidar
Kracken
Right Sector
Apparently they are the good kind of NAZIs…
WTF IS THIS!?!?
THIS is NOT what we voted for!
What happened to ending the war on DAY ONE?
This could lead to nuclear war and literally the end of humanity……. Over What?!
WHAT is wrong with President Trump?
MY GOD!!!!!
Get a grip.
Could be we’re all being played.
And do not put your trust in princes.
😉
Sorry – “get a grip” does not cover this. If true, Trump should not be “playing” his people. We did not vote for Trump so he could “play” his people. That is for third world countries, not America. And this is not a game.
Duly noted.
Exactly right!
Thank You!
Concern noted.
The last paragraph of this article is why this war started in the first place. Most wars have been started because of poorly devised economies. The EU is indeed at a dead end. God help us all.
Kellogg didn’t actually say that President Trump had authorized this… he thinks that he has based on something or other.
All I have heard President Trump authorize was for other Countries to take out anything that makes incursions to their territory.
When I hear President Trump say that he has made this authorization then I will believe it.
You would expect that the President’s Special Envoy would be very judicious in what he says and does not say. That would include not speculating on what his boss might or might not have done or said.
Maybe he’s not alone in lusting after his 5 minutes of fame.
He’s just a man, after all.
Anybody who thinks Kellogg has the actual power to speak for PDJT is making a mistake, in my humble opinion.
I want to hear that from President Trump himself before I believe Kellog. I think Kellog is trying to box President Trump in. If Kellog keeps this up he will be gone soon.
“How is President Trump not directly responsible for a NATO proxy war against Russia?”
this is why i cringe every time he still says it is “Biden’s war.”
if it was Biden’s war, trump would have dropped it like a hot potato day one, as he said he would, and would not be concerning himself with whether he gets to claim victory over the peace, nor who is making him look bad or “disappointing” him.
i did not vote for this, and i and my family will NOT serve the leviathan.
It is the Marxist CIA’s proxy war on Christian Russia and it started under Bill Clinton. They’ve imposed their will on all subsequent presidents including, it now appears, president Trump.
so then, its Trump’s war.
he has free will, and he is not stupid. he has chosen this path.
See above👆🏻.
I call it Blumenthal’s and Graham’s war — they’re the ones with the 80 Senators at their beck and call waiting to spring (fake) impeachment charges against our President — therefore, holding the sword of Damocles over his head.
Of course it’s Trump’s war. He sent the Javelins. He withdrew from the INF, and he is now sending Tomahawks. Has he responded to Russia’s offer to extend the terms of the START treaty for 1 year to give both sides a chance to negotiate an extension? Yeah, didn’t think so. Time to wake up.
just wait until he comes out and says that any of his followers who think we should not go to war with russia are stupid, and that all the inconvenient facts about how its going are fake news and there is nothing to see other than victory.
Bibi visits… suddenly Epstein is fake news and we are all dumb for still having questions….
Bibi visits again… ?
there are no coincidences.
Gibbs Rule #39
There is no such thing as a coincidence.
XO Gibbs
Keith Kellogg appears to be running his mouth without a lot of personal knowledge or actual facts to back him up. He cannot be trusted.
It’s clear as day that there is a murderous faction within the administration that is hell bent on starting a hot war with Russia. Kellogg has now outed himself as being a part of that faction.
I pray to Almighty God, in the name of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, that He would guide and direct President Trump during these dangerous times.
May He give our President increased wisdom, knowledge, strength and courage. May President Trump’s faith in God be deepened.
May God extract our nation from our poisonous alliances with NATO and the UN.
May God restore liberty, justice and righteousness across our land, and may He cause there to be a Great Awakening to the Truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ amongst We The People.
Amen
I have never put one iota of trust in ANY of the “TV Celebrity” former military bigshots! They’re all BOUGHT in some way or other – even if “only” by the Media magnates.
In fact, we don’t watch TV news and haven’t since the 2016 election!
They blew it, and haven’t received another minute of watching or clicking income from us since!
I agree, Texas Rancher.
Col Douglas Macgregor, I do trust and follow him regularly on YT. Among my favorites of his interviewers is Glenn Diesen (Norwegian, I think).
I also keep my head straight by listening to the Duran; both Alex Chrstoforou and Alexander Mercouris are sound journalists. IMO, and have their own channels.
Just one more: Alex Krainer — he’s worth checking out, too.
What I’m reading in these comments is that America wants to ditch the whole world and go it alone against China and Russia. This will not work. America needs its allies. They can’t fight China alone. Who will they trade with if they lose NATO too. They would basically be handing them over to China and Russia who would gain more power and be unopposed by anyone. Eventually China would target America too and they would defeat her. America needs it’s allies. This is not the time to ditch them.
How much aluminum can our allies produce?
Zero, nada, zilch…multiply that by the number of carriers they float, and tank hulls they can produce and BAM!
We go it alone either way.
Carriers have gone the way of battleships. They are vulnerable to modern torpedoes and hypersonic missiles. Russian has deployed the nuclear powered Poseidon torpedo that can take out a carrier with a conventional warhead or a complete carrier group or city with a nuclear warhead. Russia has hypersonic missiles that are extremely difficult to detect, let alone intercept. In the hypersonic phase, they are enveloped in a plasma shield that makes them invisible to radar. In the terminal phase, as they reach denser air, their speed slows to Mach 3 or 4; otherwise, they would burn up. Good luck hitting one of those babies at those speeds in a window of a few seconds.
Tanks and armored vehicles are probably obsolete until they can be defended against drone attacks. That may happen if Israeli Iron Beam can be deployed on tanks at some future date. Until then, both sides have limited their use of armor. Russian tank losses have fallen from 1000 p.a. to 400 p.a., reflecting their withdrawal from front line duty rather than improved defenses. Be that as it may, Russia is now producing 400 new tank hulls annually. I doubt the US is churning out that number of Abrams tanks; not that they have covered themselves in glory in Ukraine.
If you want to be a Good Ally then push Ottawa to build a west-east oil pipeline from Alberta to Nova Scotia. This will help with energy security for the north-eastern part of the continent in a time of crisis, such as when sea lanes may become contested or overseas suppliers are embroiled in conflict. If Quebec continues to veto then run the pipeline through the US instead.
“Allies” Who do not have each others’ backs in all spheres probably won’t be very firm about having each others’ backs in time of war.
I agree that Canada has been a poor ally to the United States. Most Canadians are living in a bubble of deception about their security both economic and military. But they are beginning to wake up to their situation and when they do they will realize who they should be allied with. This is my hope anyway.
Yeah we need more allies like the UK,….France….Germany….with ….allies….like this, who needs enemies.
We only need allies that we are not expected to send our young men to die for – are you willing to send your son or grandson to die in Ukraine?
no
If things really do escalate into a world war and our freedom is at stake then yes, I would. I would give up my own life for that. Life without freedom of choice is no life at all.
I have huge concerns about China and now Russia because Russia has very clearly aligned itself with China against America. I believe China and/or Russia would take over Europe in a heartbeat if the US wasn’t standing in their way. It’s always about the US. You are the target. You are the one they want to bring down.
i agree 100% that America’s allies have let her down. People have not seen what is happening and the danger their countries are in. They are waking up but it’s slow. We are already at war and have been for quite some time. The United States under Trump is waking up and the tide is turning but what a battle it has been. America’s allies are not quite at that place yet but they are beginning to see.
Right now the war is being fought economically and I hope it stays that way. Trump is calling on allies to not just stop buying Russian oil but also to tariff China. He is sending weapons to Ukraine but is requiring payment for them. This is forcing the allies to wake up and get their priorities straight. The EU, Canada, Australia, etc., are under the control of the globalists. They are still trying to push back against Trump but overall they are slowly losing. The globalists are not the ordinary people of those countries. The real battle that needs to happen is for the citizens to wake up and stop their governments. Canada is beginning to realize that Carney was not a solution. They are learning the hard way.
I don’t know what is going to happen and I don’t know for sure what is the best way to go forward. But Trump has a great record so far. The big picture to keep in mind is that Russia, by aligning with China, has made it clear they are not for America and therefore they are your enemy.
it could be that Russia and China are just sabre rattling and that Trump is also doing the same thing. Trump refusing to take on the Ukraine war is forcing Europe to step up. It is also forcing Europe to get serious about the situation they are facing. Trump is handling all of this beautifully. I’m convinced no one else could have done it. No one else was bold enough or had the skill and know how to do it or had the stamina to continue on in spite of intense opposition. The big unknown is what will Russia do. Will they stop with Ukraine or will they go on to more territory they feel entitled to.
Are we now seeing the leverage the Epstein files provide?
One of the biggest feather’s in Trump’s cap, from his first term, is his commitment to peace. Yes, Putin is a bad actor. But Ukraine is also incredibly corrupt. I would much rather let the two nations fight it out, come what may, than see America involved in this mess.
I will not blindly follow Trump down this terribly mistaken path. If this is all important enough to Europe, let Europe lead a coalition (and stop buying Russian oil.)
Not what I voted for. This is crazy.
“Not what I voted for” is starting to sound like a mockingbird media 4am talking point on this thread. It’s not above the media and their “sources” to twist the truth toward their own agenda. Let’s not help them.
RolCon Tuesday here.
Yet again.
This has always been a CIA proxy war against post Soviet, Christian Russia that is about 33 years old. It doesn’t matter who the president is, they pursue the same strategy of provoking Christian Russia. The Marxist CIA and NATO have pushed and pushed and pushed on Christian Russia, and then when Russia pushes back, in Georgia, or Crimea, or Ukraine the deep state says “See! See! We’ve been telling you how dangerous Russia is!”
This Marxist CIA foreign policy is insane. We need Russia as an ally against China, and there is no reason why that shouldn’t happen. But it seems the CIA has checkmated Trump and Trump is resigned to letting them have their way, as all of his predecessors have. But letting the CIA control American foreign policy is getting more and more dangerous, as you would expect when you let unelected unaccountable people pursue an insane agenda..
Russia is not Christian, it is Marxist and still run by the Communists. Russia has always wanted to nuke the US. I fear Trump may be getting tricked into a mistake.
You are mistaken. Russia IS Christian. But I do agree that Trump may be making a mistake.
This seems to be his idea of what the president might do (another bolton.https://x.com/JacquiHeinrich/status/1972472807490805769
Please explain how a war magically makes EU’s debt go away? If my neighbor owes me money and starts fighting with his other neighbor i still expect to get paid. Where is this money suppose to come from? more printing, more inflation, more taxes?
I have said it before and i will say it again if war fixes economies by blowing stuff up then lets all burn up our stuff and get rich.
I honestly believe Trump is pushing the EU to move further and further away from the people they rule. I beleive it is a destabilisation effort.
How do they plan to erase debt? Massive inflation?
As long as the coward EU buys Putin’s RU energy, the RU v Ukraine war will continue.
Tell the Zeropeans to Stand Tall now or the USA is out of NATO and they’re on their own to face an ambitious, menacing Putin and defend themselves.
America First! Globalists last.
Everybody needs energy. And so, they will find a way to buy it from the most economical available (or, the only practicable …) source. For a great part of Europe, particularly with regard to natural gas, that “only source” is: Russia.
Furthermore, since “everybody needs energy,” if the supplier cannot sell it to you (because you choose not to buy it …), they will still have no difficulty selling it to someone else. Or even, as America still does with quite a lot of its domestic output, consuming it themselves.
The “Russia v. Ukraine war” will continue until the reasons for its existence have stopped.
Absolute insanity.
Just the opposite of what Trump promissed during his electoral campain.
Always lies, lies, and more lies. Voters are considered suckers and, consecuently, what we vote ignored. Really disgusting.

Ukrainian defense and national security officials are on their way to Washington to hammer out details of a proposed drone deal with the Trump administration, The Post has learned.

Huh. Just in time for the top brass meeting.
Notice the absence of a single US source for the story. That’s the tell. Also, Trump met with the comedian for 7 whole minutes at the UN. That can hardly have been a “successful meeting.” Psyops abound. Be careful. Distrust but verify.
BUT this is not escalatory, because the US is not giving the Tomahawks, the US is selling them to NATO
This is a big difference in 5D thinking that will put VVP in a mindspin (like being stuck on one of those Chinese fingertraps) and subsequently prevent Russia from responding in kind.
Easy really.
Sundance wrote – “How is President Trump not directly responsible for a NATO proxy war against Russia?

You wrote – “BUT this is not escalatory, because the US is not giving the Tomahawks, the US is selling them to NATO.”
So….in your opinion…. President Trump & USA avoids all responsibility for nuclear war by not giving nuclear-capable cruise missiles to NATO (proxy for Ukraine) but instead, selling them to the desperate Russia-hating warmongering globalists in NATO?
That make no sense at all and will never be accepted by the few surviving victims of the impending nuclear war.
Ya gotta understand 5D chess the way this One Commenter person understands it.
That, and recognize sarcasm when you see it.
I kinda think you, One Commenter, and I actually share similar thoughts on the matter.
IDK, OldDog. I read and infer from what is written. There are telltale signs of intended sarcasm that can be used to guide readers’ interpretations, including the best signal, ” /s” .
But this post, from a commenter whose name I do not recognize as ever before seeing, contained nothing I would infer to be indicating intended sarcasm. Add to that my experience that there really are some folks who do in fact have a completely uninformed or grossly misinformed perspective of some or many geopolitical issues.
If in fact the comment was intended to be sarcastic, then I missed the (obvious or hidden?) signal.
Well, GBB, I thought the statements were so ridiculous they could be nothing but sarcasm. But I’ve been wrong before.
Best to you, friend.
Certainly a valid possibility, OldDog, but I’ve seen previous instances where commenters posted truly ridiculous assertions before, and they were absolutely serious and defensive of any criticism.
Who knows. I appreciate your taking the time to opine on my reply.
poe’s law strikes again. I had the same impression.
it’s important if you are going to be really edgy, to jot in a /s just in case. it helps
God Bless America
👍 😎
It is my understanding that President Trump cannot “exit NATO” since CONgress recently preempted any unilateral move by legislating that CONgress must agree to any withdrawal. Or was that only the UN?
Not sure it’s even Constitutional for CONgress to usurp the President’s plenary powers but nowadays it seems that they will always shoot first and defer questions until 70 years later.
I view Kellogg’s announcement as the One World globalists strong-arm tactic to get their warmongers party started. In much the same way they all started yakking about Epstein out of the blue to get that circular firing squad going, I am inclined to trust Trump, not Kellogg or any other sh!t stirrers.
Kellogg is not informed of discussions about weapons to Ukraine or even the conversation that happened it’s pretty obvious
Nuclear capable is anything these days. The ATACM is nuke capable. RU and really everyone is overreacting.
Btw let’s say IF big IF Trump sells some tomahawks to Europe. How many end up in Ukraine? How long does it take for Ukraine to get them? They can’t launch from Himars so they’d need a completely new launch system. No guarantee they even make it to the battlefield. You’re talking at the soonest again BIG IF. 6 months? A year? Longer?
BS. End of mystery.
BUT this is not escalatory, because the US is not giving the Tomahawks, the US is selling them to NATO
The largest contributor to NATO is the U.S. Also, Tomahawks require U.S. owned launch systems, so, in effect, it’s the U.S. launching these missiles. Thus, escalatory.
I’ve been against, strongly against, Ukraine from the beginning. I have to admit though … I’m getting really tired of Vlad and his Roosky pals slapping away PDJT’s extended hand of friendship with another drone strike behind his back.
When you extend the hand and they kick you (or your friends) in the b***s for your efforts, at some point the peace game is over.
This is the way I think most conservatives feel. Russia did a good job trying to win the Right over, but this long process has disillusioned them with Russia at this point.
This is not an accurate assessment of the situation. Russia has invaded Ukraine and has bombed civilians and infrastructure. The war crimes committed by Russia are atrocious. Russia has not been serious in peace negotiations. There is no indication that Russia will stop aggression against the Baltic states in the future. The only way to end this war is to assert enough penalties on Russia to stop it. Europe cannot simply surrender and accept that Russia is free to conquer and occupy its neighbors at will. NATO was created exactly for the purpose of deterring Russian aggression. Now NATO should step up and use its deterrent to stop this war
This blog is filled with Russian agents. And by that I mean literal paid posters.
If Russia was determined to win at any cost, every Ukrainian city would look like Dresden after WW2. It has bombed infrastructure that supports Ukraine’s military but used precision weapons to do it. The Ukrainians are as bad as Pallywood when it comes to staging atrocities and blaming the Russians. But it was Ukraine that started hostilities when it shelled civilian targets in Donbass, the Russian-speaking pro-Russian half of Ukraine, after the CIA engineered coup of 2014.
In 1962, the Soviet Union secretly set up nuclear missile bases in Cuba. When the US found about it, they blockaded Cuba and threatened nuclear war if the Soviet Union did not remove them. The Soviet Union obeyed, but the US was also forced to remove missiles from Turkey.
When the Soviet Union (aka USSR) fell apart, Russia received assurances that NATO would not expand eastwards, absorbing the Warsaw Pact countries. The assurances weren’t codified, and, like dominoes, each of those countries joined NATO. The last domino was Ukraine, the country with by far the largest border with Ukraine. Russia said it would not allow Ukraine to join NATO and put NATO bases on Russia’s border. When push came to shove, the Russians launched their SMO to stop Ukraine joining NATO, and to stop Ukraine from attacking the Donbass. Ukraine had been armed to the hilt by the EU and the neocons thought they could take on the weak, disorganized Russian army, break up the Russian Federation, and liberate the Russian people from Putin’s brutal dictatorship. Despite opportunities for a peaceful resolution, the SMO turned into a war of attrition.
Nothing unites the Russian people more than an existential threat, and they see the relentless expansion of NATO as such a threat. I suppose we would regard the placement of Chinese bases on the Mexican and Canadian borders as an existential threat, just as we found Soviet missiles in Cuba to be such a threat.
NATO has no way to deter Russia short of nuclear weapons or deploying all of its armies against Russia, and no NATO country is willing to commit their troops to do that. They are just fine if Ukraine takes a million casualties so long as the war bleeds Russia dry. The nuclear option is off the table for obvious reasons. Nobody wins a nuclear war and Russia has delivery systems that can’t be intercepted.
Ukraine is running out of men, munitions and money. It gambled that Russia could be defeated by Ukraine’s 1.7 million man army and NATO wonderwaffe and lost. It isn’t quite over yet, but Ukraine is now where Germany was as WW1 ground to its conclusion; no more territory lost, but no way to continue fighting. Tomahawk missiles will make no difference to the outcome unless the nuclear variant is revived, and nobody except John Bolton would be that stupid.
President Trump is done with being tapped along. He is letting Putin know it. Trump is not playing around. He will let Zelenskyy hit Moscow.
Your move, Vladimir.
Good luck hitting Moscow with Tomahawk missiles. Russian AD and EW will destroy most of them unless they launch hundreds at once. OTOH, good luck intercepting the hypersonic missiles that Russia will fire in response. Since it would have to be NATO programming and launching Tomahawks, NATO itself could be the target of the Russian response. Heck, the bear might even roll out some Oreshniks to let NATO know it means business. Putin has already claimed the Oreshnik is so destructive, it might obviate the need for nuclear weapons.

“The reason why the EU member states of NATO want escalated war with Russia is financial and economic” = Banks. Nothing new under the sun
I suspect that this “announcement” is timed to lend credence to an imminent (false flag) attack, hinted at last week, to bring us into direct conflict with Russia.
Too bad that whenever we fight back, we never seem to engage the real terrorists.
“Too bad that whenever we fight back, we never seem to engage the real terrorists”
Right!
I don’t believe this report. Only days ago Trump said he would not allow Ukraine to fire missiles into Russia. Which is so much like Trump, and now you are stating the opposite. Something is wrong with this report!!!
Who gives a flip about the EU problems. They got themselves into this mess, they can get themselves out, or not. “Frankly, my dear” (those of you who have watched “Gone With the Wind” know how the rest of that sentence goes).
Russians will NEVER agree to one world government and must be removed. This is also the purpose behind the deliberate destruction of western civilization.
Please contact Pres. Trump & VP VANCE: https://www.whitehouse.gov/contact/ You can use any or all of my mesage:
https://theconservativetreehouse.com/blog/2025/09/29/u-s-special-envoy-for-ukraine-keith-kellogg-says-president-trump-has-authorized-nato-strikes-against-moscow/
This MUST be stopped. Neocon Kellogg’s daughter runs an NGO in Ukraine making money off the continuation of the war. This is absolutely NOT what AMERICANS voted for. This is NOT America First. THE USA MUST EXIT NATO IMMEDIATELY!! George Washington’s farewell address urged us to stay away from the affairs of Europe. HEED our great First President’s advice!
No, Sundance, Putin has lost me.
Putin orders 135,000 men to join the military in largest fall draft in nine years trib.al/TQqzZ6o
I really thought Trump knew better.
Hold on a second. We are allowed to sale Ukraine missiles. How they use them is on them. That is nothing new. What matters is Trump has done all he can to negotiate peace. Putin wasn’t interested. So why can’t we do the same as the EU, which is sale weapons to Ukraine?
There is no possibility of Ukraine winning militarily. Russia’s limited military strength is because it has been voluntarily fighting with one arm behind its back. Surely Trump understands this. Surely Putin has made it very clear.
If one Russian hand is ever insufficient to keep Ukraine and its U.S. and European backers from taking the warm water port that Russian Empress Catherine great took from the Ottoman Turks in 1783 (the reason she is called Catherine the Great), Russia will nuke western Ukraine.
So much for Trump’s goal of saving lives. How can he have gotten so far off track so quickly?
Two weeks ago he was saying that Putin was the one who was “almost there,” and that Zelensky needs to make a deal. Now he seems to be 100% behind Obama’s hot proxy war against Russia.
Hot proxy war against Russia has always been nuclear brinksmanship. And we’ve always known where Russia’s red line is.
Nobody’s taking Crimea from them. The other highly Russified Eastern Ukrainian states they were willing to let go, just not to Ukraine. They had to be allowed to become independent, which was a very reasonable offer.
Add that it is our relationship with Russia that is much more important in the long run (if there still is a long run after this), and it makes no sense at all for Trump to start talking about Russia losing.
That is simply not going to happen. That is not on the table from their side. They WILL throw nukes at Kyiv and Western Ukraine first. Everyone has always known this.
Trump needs to maintain a stick against Ukraine to force them to make a reasonable deal. Two weeks ago Trump held up that stick, saying that if Zelensky didn’t make a deal the US would just walk away, leaving them to fight Russia on their own.
Somehow handing off support for the war to Europe is now appearing in Trump’s mind as a way to “walk away” and still have Ukraine receive support.
But that just means that the threat against Ukraine — that they of will lose support if it don’t make a deal — is hollow, leaving Ukraine only with incentive NOT to make a deal (since the only party that gets hit with a stick in the absence of a deal is Russia, which Ukraine wants).
Ukraine is not a present a member of NATO. We have no obligation to defend them from Russian nuclear attack.
Are we supposed to do it just because? Are we going to have a world-ending ending nuclear exchange with Russia because we for no reason at all pushed them past their thousands of times repeated nuclear red line?
If we are rational at all, no, we will not engage in a nuclear war, so there is no MAD deterrence here. So stop pushing Russia into it.
The United States has zero national interest in how a couple of ex-SSR’s from the heart of the old USSR settle the boundary between them.
If our concern is for a “rules based international order,” the Russian proposal to allow the contested territories to become independence states is a good one.
It’s not always the solution. When aggressors are defeated you don’t reward them by giving them control over the territory that was just contested.
Thus for instance, you don’t give the “Palestinians” a state in Gaza. But it is a good solution for eastern Ukraine, where the population is (or was) very mixed Russian and Ukrainian, trying hard to get along.
The Constitutions of such states would have to have very strong protection for individual rights and equal treatment. They would have to be small “r” republican in the American sense.
That’s great. Our model needs some perfecting. (Can we have some election security please?)
If we can get there, Russia would deserve much credit for advancing this understanding of what a “rules based international order” should look like.
They would be honored instead of shunned, which is part of what they are looking for.
Well folks, it looks like Ukraine will be leveled. Party time is over.
And whoever is “guiding” those missiles will most certainly be vaporized. You know what I’m talking about.
So it’s come to this? It’s a damn shame….
Lets pray that vapor trail fiesn’t extend to the us.
Trump has been sealed off from the voters and is no longer being opposed by the forever war crowd. They realized that all they had to do is flatter him and he would do whatever they wanted.
You could see the same dynamic with the Eurotrash that came over and kissed his ass.
Machiavelli warned that a weakness for flattery is often the downfall of good leaders.
“If they were winning this war they would be in Kiev”
Is he not aware that this is a war of attrition? Good grief.
in negotiations, similarly as in war, stating forcible declarations are part of the process.
Of COURSE RUSSIA KNOWS WHAT THE US IS CAPABLE OF.
President Trump likely had his emissary make a challenging statement to get Putins’ attention and perhaps this will get him back to the table to discuss a treatise.
and then this: never enter a conflict unless you are willing to see it through. That is the condundrum that President Trump NOW finds himself. He could have made the decision to simply refuse to accept any responsibility or role in this conflict and withdraw all aid and weapons. but when you start engagement, even if it’s attempts in negotiating. you do become part of the conflict.
this is not to excuse President Trump but to remind him, quitting this war now is not being a coward. It is being responsible that you don’t cause the increase in deaths that is certain if you continue down this path.
it’s just that simple.
God Bless America
Does Putin want an expanded war? Why doesn’t he side step this by using Trump and making a few concessions and take what he can keep for the negotiating? A lot more lives will be in jeopardy. One can only wonder how Mr. Trump decries the death rate of the war and now opens a door to escalation and US participation?
Z-man refused to entertain any concessions. There was never any possibility of negotiation given that position.
Russia can’t get peace just by making a few more little concessions because Ukraine has never offered ANY concessions on their side, and now Trump is recklessly encouraging Ukraine’s totalist position by saying they could go for outright victory and expel Russia completely from all contested territory.
That would be with U.S. weapons, and U.S. targeting, and with the massive European financing for war against Russia that Trump just arranged, while Trump ramps up talk about the U.S. itself going all-in on economic warfare against Russia.
This after talking for a decade about how the U.S. and Russia should be allies.
I don’t doubt that he is getting some bad advice by various cold warriors and war-finance grifters, but I wonder if there might be an emotional pressure point closer to home.
Melania has been reported in the news as speaking very harshly about Russia continuing to launch large numbers of missiles, and Trump, with all his sometimes outlandish honesty, has expressed several times how he “thinks” Melania loves him.
He obviously loves her and wants very much to make her happy, and has some sense that that isn’t always a given.
Many Eastern Europeans have harsh feelings towards Russia from the days of the USSR, and Melania could well be in that camp.
All should remember the plea of Andre Solzhenitsyn to understand that the Russians were just as much victims of the Bolsheviks as the other enslaved peoples were.
They were the first victims. That doesn’t mean they don’t have the same kinds of legitimate national claims as the other victims of the communists do.
The loser doesn’t get to demand anything from the winner.
This is NOT what I voted for.
Just what is Kellogg smoking, exactly?
Alex Christoforou @ The Duran thinks the President has already made the decision to provide Ukraine with Tomahawk missiles. If he is correct, these long range missiles require U.S. owned launch systems for strikes deep into Russian territory. So, how is this not his war? Does the administration think it can gain leverage over Russia in a negotiation to freeze the conflict? If so, it illustrates how little the president and VP understand the Russians and the root causes of this conflict.
Alex has said that time and time again. I really like the 2 of them but there’s a lot of heavy speculation and pro Russian bias. So what if it’s a US launch system, so are the HIMARS. The Russians use NK ballistics and Iranian drones.
Nobody, not Putin not the Duran not Sundance, has ever offered proof that the Ukrainians are unable to use the weapons systems the us provides.
I hope this means that we are leaving NATO…..and the next exit is the United Nations.
I would really love it if we could finally shake that 20th century poop off our Western boots.
The Melting Pot is a mistake too. End immigration. We have enough people.
