Obviously President Trump wants his supporters to drop talking about this story, and I must admit I was wrong. I earnestly believed someone close to President Trump would explain why his support base was/is focused on the Epstein scandal as representative of government control of information.
While the “Epstein stuff” in general has never been a subject of great interest here, I simply cannot explain this level of disconnect toward those to whom the story is important. This is new because President Trump has always reflected his understanding of his hardcore base of support, even when the details were difficult to understand.

Forgive me if this has already been addressed, I don’t have enough time right now to go through the multitude of comments. I don’t expect my perspective will be very popular here, but I had already become a bit less supportive of Mr. Trump when I saw what little support he gave to the J6’rs, not to mention never disavowing the warp speed debacle. But who is hoaxing who? President Trump keeps referring to the Epstein, debacle, as if it just came to the fore during the Biden administration. Yet Epstein had been an operative for decades. Why is he gaslighting on this, and why is he condemning those who see through it in such a vitriolic fashion? I do not see why it is so difficult for so-called intelligent people to realize why it imprudent to obsess on this story. This is obviously one of those situations in which the revelations of “facts” will do more harm than good. There is such potential for innocent people or even some not completely innocent (but not basically evil) people to be ruined and sidelined with the result that the MAGA agenda becomes paralyzed. I see the continual focus on Epstein as having the potential to completely derail the Trump presidency. Is the truth even knowable about Epstein? I think not.
