Following a widely watched assembly of EU leaders, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer announces that Britain will lead a “coalition of the willing” and the U.K. will put boots on the ground and planes in the air to create the “security guarantee” for a potential Russia-Ukraine ceasefire.
The Prime Minister did not specify any other European country who will align and join their military forces on the ground in Ukraine; instead outlining that additional military elements will be rapidly organized. PM Starmer stressed that U.S. military forces “must” backstop the EU military members and implied that Italian PM Meloni will only align with the principal of Italian military use if the USA is involved.
As secretary Rubio mentioned earlier in the day, the Ukraine/EU phrase “security guarantee” is more honestly described as “deterrence” or an insurance policy. Prime Minister Starmer and this EU ‘coalition of the willing’ are only willing to put their military into Ukraine if the USA will be guaranteed to come into the conflict if the ceasefire falls apart. This should not be a part of any reasonable consideration, given the 3rd parties (not Russia) that would intentionally seek to disrupt a ceasefire to suck the USA into battle. WATCH:

I have recommended for quite a while now to parents who asked that they dissuade their children from enlisting/commissioning. That was based mostly on how politicized the promotion system had become and consequent results at the top levels of the leadership chains.
I see no reason to do otherwise in the absence of a strategy that accounts for the global dimensions of national security, how we fight wars, inter-dependancies that are critical to savings lives that have girded strategy, acquisition, war plans, contingency plans, training, etc., for decades and decades.
Indeed, terminate the endless, unproductive (in a security and political sense), costly conflicts. But dismantle the capabilities/strategies that enable war fighting, when necessary, globally? In a context, where there are clearly encirclement operations by China and others? The gov’t needs to articulate its guiding philosophy and strategic commitments. Perhaps the next iteration of the National Security Strategy and the National Military Strategy wil articulate the new “vision”.
Perhaps if we weed out the Clinton like factions willing to sell our secrets to the world the rest of the world will be left behind. We should stop educating our enemies children as well in our colleges. JMO

If I’m the Dems I resist every WH initiative (they are), I dramatize every political matter big and small (they do), I coordinate to undermine foreign policy (they have), I exploit every controversial move that has collateral impacts (e.g., gov’t firings that sweep up PDJT supporters), I play to superficial themes that have no real substantive policy content (they do), I organize progressively escalating protests as a sign of social unrest (they will), I reconstitute coordinated media messaging that is always on the attack (they are trying), etc.
These Dems are a real piece of work. But they vote in lockstep – unlike the Repubs.

Trump needs to send a message to Europe that if they willingly get enmeshed in the Russia-Ukraine conflict by putting “boots on the ground”, the US is declaring that it violates the strictures of NATO and the US will not be coming to defend them.
Russia will never allow UK and/or EU troops on the ground even as peacekeepers. This is a direct provocation against Russia to escalate the war against NATO countries necessitating US involvement. All this is designed to force the US’s hand in Ukraine. Plain and simple.

Europe is dying. They have no natural resources to speak of anymore. Their diamond mines in Africa are all gone. They can’t afford to keep pumping good money after bad with all its poorly thought out, costly welfare programs. They’re way too afraid to tell their people it’s time to tighten their belts. And what few resources they do have left, their crazy greentards have such a chokehold on them that Europe can’t possibly ever get to them.
