Following a widely watched assembly of EU leaders, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer announces that Britain will lead a “coalition of the willing” and the U.K. will put boots on the ground and planes in the air to create the “security guarantee” for a potential Russia-Ukraine ceasefire.
The Prime Minister did not specify any other European country who will align and join their military forces on the ground in Ukraine; instead outlining that additional military elements will be rapidly organized. PM Starmer stressed that U.S. military forces “must” backstop the EU military members and implied that Italian PM Meloni will only align with the principal of Italian military use if the USA is involved.
As secretary Rubio mentioned earlier in the day, the Ukraine/EU phrase “security guarantee” is more honestly described as “deterrence” or an insurance policy. Prime Minister Starmer and this EU ‘coalition of the willing’ are only willing to put their military into Ukraine if the USA will be guaranteed to come into the conflict if the ceasefire falls apart. This should not be a part of any reasonable consideration, given the 3rd parties (not Russia) that would intentionally seek to disrupt a ceasefire to suck the USA into battle. WATCH:
.
None of the other EU nations are willing to publicly say they will put their military into Ukraine, because the EU just doesn’t have a military force capable to deal with the conflict.

This completely compromised POS is totally complicit. The little drama he and Macron staged coming here ahead of little Z’s visit…the “stand up to Trump” tough guy routine poorly done, followed by this Puke Minister’s attempt to blackmail our nation. “We are the willing…but ONLY IF the United States will guarantee to back us up…” he says with big ole Bambi eyes behind ginormous glasses.
SPIT!
The scheme is so obvious. Back America into a corner to “prove” our dedication to our allies and to “saving Ukraine”.
SPIT AGAIN!
Britain has been the biggest instigator of keeping Ukraine corrupted forever, in war forever, always pointing to Russia, Russia, Russia using the oldest trick in the book; impending invasion!!!! Russia is no saint but NATO and Biden puppet masters pushed/goaded them into invading…with Boris Johnson doing the Brits dirty work to talk Z out of accepting a peace deal prior to guns firing.
SHOW THEM PRESIDENT TRUMP. YOU SET THE TERMS THAT WE WILL ACCEPT AND NOTHING MORE.
Keir Starmer, go ahead and lead a “coalition of the willing”, without the U.S. Let’s see how that works out for you.
If The Brits are gonna put Boots on the Ground, will Harry and MeAgain be on the front lines?
With ‘friends’ like Starmer and the EU globalists, who needs enemies?
2024 Uk army has more horses (~500) than Main battle tanks (~200). Good luck with your new security guarantor Zelensky!
Professor Mark Felton is a military historian of the first order.
I thought I knew almost everything about World War 2 until I started watching his videos.
His research is second to none!
I agree.

Well, their outfits are fantastic. But they probably don’t want to get them dirty with any real action.
That’s what they said about Harvard faculty.
Or enemas?
In fairness to Harry, he actually did see combat in the Army, and was at his insistence, esp for solidarity with his mates. Seemed a good dude…then he married someone. Interestingly, the other royal to see combat, was the other black sheep, Andrew, during the Falklands war.
Except for the drug use, he was stellar!
No, and neither will Starmer!!!!
LOLOL. Only if the paparazzi are there.
He said boots, not boobs. 😉
And after the first dubious contact between troops of either side the dominoes begin to fall and WWIII will begin. Just like in WWI and from this general area of that continent.
I-F Russia is interested. And I predict that it isn’t, except to protect its own territory and sovereignty.
To this day, they celebrate “Victory Day.” Russia paid a much higher price in blood than did any of the other so-called “Allies.” They will never forget the memory of the soldiers who did it.
Let us not forget the Ukrainian tanks rolled into Donesk in 2015 during the March of the Immortals. Right into the crowds.
Russia lost 20 million citizens and soldiers, killed or maimed 70% of German soldiers. Saved Europe and America who lost 480k and 400k soldiers.
Don’t wonder why President was adamant how horrific nuclear war can be. Got the info from his uncle, John.
These people are literally playing with fire. FOOLS!
Fools they are. We now have a generation of ‘leaders’ who know NOTHING about the horrors of nuclear warfare.
In The Great War (WW1) generals had their loyal soldiers leave their trenches and march right into withering machine gun fire.
The film ‘Paths Of Glory’(1957) gives an idea of how stupendously stupid and arrogantly cruel these generals were.
They did not understand how technology had changed war.
Today, how many military and civilian leaders have a clue as to what would happen if even ONE atomic weapon – strategic or tactical – was fired???
Only a self-destructive moron wants such horrific devices launched.
“Execute Operation ARCHDUKE…”
This was the unofficial nickname of the Serbia/Kosovo thing, BTW.
Coalition of the stupid.
Sorry not stupid – ignorant.
Both:Ignorant, stupid, AND reckless.
Let’s not forget greedy.
Hey!
Don’t leave out evil!
Ignorant would imply that they don’t know what they’re doing, and they know full well what they are doing. Which is everything they can to perpetuate and escalate this war.
Wonder what this guy has been smoking??
Some of that mooslim hashish from Afghanistan, probably…..
Great! Put UK and French troops on the ground in Ukraine so they can serve as a trip wire provoking a much larger conflict. What could possibly go wrong with these two genius countries involved?
Yep – what indeed; history paint a bleak forecast
I wonder if they will remember to bring winter clothing this time?
Idiots are going to start a nuclear war. We should drop NATO and let Europe scramble their own eggs.
No one knows what will happen if nuclear-armed powers start shooting at each other.
Russia has nuclear weapons.
The UK has nuclear weapons
France has nuclear weapons.
Yes – what could POSSIBLY go wrong????????
Wash, rinse and repeat. They all talk big shT till their money goes out the door and the body bags arrive in large cargo airplanes!
Is this guy completely insane?
Yes.
Yes.
The EU is about to let this guy’s alligator mouth overload Europe’s canary a$$!
British pole, are you willing to fight for your country? 11% yes.
Hey America. Do not allow your sons and daughters to bleed into Ukraine.
Hey Trump! Reminder, you have neither the right nor the power to kill Americans to protect Brits, French, Germans, Poles etc.
Your last declarative statement is 100% incorrect.
A more accurate statement would that PRESIDENT Trump HAS the right AND the power to send Americans to die to protect Brits, French, Germans, Poles etc., BUT he has ZERO will or desire to do so and has stated that latter part repeatedly.
He doesn’t intend to – why do you think he’s doing what he’s doing to keep us out of the fight?
Err…the Brits would’t be protecting “THEIR” country. They’d be protecting what has been called the most corrupt country in Europe. And little Napoleon would continue his scam as long as he doesn’t run out of other people’s money.
However, maybe the Brits can suit up their “recent arrivals” and send them instead of the feckless natives who seem incapable of defending even their women and children.
no way Russia agrees to these folks being “peacekeepers” … by definition peacekeepers need to be neutral parties … how can a country who supplies arms and money to Ukraine be considered neutral …
Found in the bin… 🙁
Perfect job for the UN-blue-helmet crew – not NATO.
Lets be honest, Zelinski has no interest in peace he is making to much money selling US weapons on the black market, sending his wife to Paris, and expanding his real estate portfolio with US taxpayer money. The mineral rights, which may include oil are not nearly enough to repay the billions. He wants war to continue so he can maintain control of Ukraine, currently no opposition, no media, no elections. Just the dude how used his manhood to play the piano.
He would given the first opportunity perform a False flag operation to make it look like Russians attacked the Brits to take another step towards all out war. He is that petty and unstable based on his performance in the Oval office.
Exactly
This alliance sounds a lot like the one from 1914🤔
Hope Trump is not still entertaining the minerals deal.
We need to cut bait, and let Europe deal with Zelensky.
I think a lot of people are starting to think this exact same thing.
We have to get out of NATO or risk being pulled into the vortex of stupid. This drug addict running Ukraine recently had a drone flown into the Chernobyl containment facility, and tried to blame it on Russia. We have to cut our losses in Ukraine and get out of NATO.
That may have been presented by PDJT as an incentive, to work toward an adult solution. But PDJT must first consult an adult…
“But PDJT must first consult an adult…”
Which is what his intended direct, i.e. sans Zalinskyy, dialog with Putin is all about.
Brittan France Italy and Germany are useless and have no viable military because for years they have depended on America. That’s how these loser countries can have free health care , 8 weeks paid vacation and paid maternity leave to name a few.
Its time for this world to really change. No more Marshall plan. No more United States military help. These loser countries need to get off the doll. They need to cut there social programs and increase military spending. There is no other viable solution.
“We need to put British boots on the ground so that we can get them killed so that we can get the Americans to fight so that we can get them killed too. Win-win!”
Yeah, Starmer is a WEF Communist. He thinks this is subtle manipulation.
Yeah, the only people he and his class hate more than Yanks are Brits.
Yep. UK Prime needs to don his battle-rattle, mount his trusty steed, and take his “Must” to the Front.
The US troops are right behind you, Starmer!
(about 3,000 miles behind you)
Ah, yes. That big, beautiful ocean! 👍❤️🇺🇲
I hope the US never agrees to being a backstop for EU military in Ukraine. IMHO, this is nothing but a globalist trap to get the US involved in a war with Russia.
Roll on the floor laugh out loud:
Despite a range of sanctions and the threat posed by dependence on Russian energy, in the third year of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, EU imports of Russian fossil fuels in particular remain largely unchanged, totalling EUR 21.9 bn, a 6% year-on-year drop in value but merely a 1% year-on-year drop in volumes.
Notably, EU imports of Russian fossil fuels in the third year of the invasion surpassed the EUR 18.7 bn of financial aid they sent to Ukraine in 2024.
Russia’s total global fossil fuel earnings in the third year of the invasion also reached EUR 242 bn and have totalled EUR 847 bn since the start of the invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.
This shows that the euros are not serious, and we can rightly ignore all their blather, which is only for show.
Sounds more like the ‘Coalition of the Swilling’ to me..
What the hail are they huffing over there across the pond .. besides their own farts??
Pretty tragic the corrupt leaders of those EU nations don’t give a whit about so many innocent citizens dying, just to keep the money rolling into their pockets! Pray that Trump continues to stay out of this!
Well, they are the same “leaders” who import the dregs of Muslim nations to rape and murder their own actual citizens, so there’s that…
Shushhhh……..Don’t say the quiet part out loud……….
Britain’s ambition to be “Leader of the Free World” forgetting their war histories? The complete dissolution of the feared image by locals incolonies under Britain of the superiority of the white man was accomplished on 15th of February 1942; when Lt General Arthur Percival signed the largest surrender in British history at Singapore after fighting for less than a week! That was supposed to be the British fortress.
It was apparent even before the Japanese invasion of Malaya that the Singapore Strategy was in jeopardy.
Britain had been under threat from Germany since war broke out in 1939 and its resources were concentrated on its own preservation. The fleet of aircraft carriers and battleships that had been promised for the defence of the Empire’s eastern possessions was reduced to a single squadron centred around one battleship, HMS Prince of Wales, and one battle cruiser, HMS Repulse.
Japanese aircraft sunk both ships north of Singapore on 10 December 1941. This left the base without significant naval protection.
The battle for Singapore started on 8 Dec 1941. The Imperial Japanese Army invaded the Malay Peninsula, landing in the north at Khota Bharu in Malaya and Pattani and Songkhla in Thailand.
The Japanese were battle-hardened, well-organized and well-supported by air and armor; the inexperienced Allied forces could offer little resistance and the Japanese moved with incredible speed south along the peninsula.
Kuala Lumpur in the Malayan Peninsula was taken on 11 January and Johor, capital of Malaya’s southern state, fell on 14 January. The Japanese had fought the 700 kilometers from their northern landings to the southern tip of the peninsula in less than two months.
On 31 January Allied forces withdrew across the causeway linking Malaya and Singapore. The defense of the island was poorly planned and executed.
Allied forces were spread too thin to resist the Japanese when they landed on the north-west of the island on 8 February. Allied air cover had been almost completely destroyed in the opening days of the campaign and so the city was being bombed at will.
Despite being heavily outnumbered, the Japanese moved quickly across the island. With one million citizens trapped in the city and water supplies at critical levels British commander Lieutenant General Arthur Percival surrendered on 15 February 1942. More than 130,000 Allied troops were taken prisoner.
The Japanese general Tomoyuki Yamashita had achieved a remarkable feat of arms.
In London, Prime Minister Winston Churchill announced that the fall of Singapore was the ‘worst disaster and largest capitulation in British history’.
For Australia too, the fall of Singapore was a disaster. More than 15,000 Australian soldiers were captured. Of these, more than 7,000 would die as prisoners of war.
Controversially, the commander of Australian forces on the island, Major General Gordon Bennett, escaped the island with two staff officers on the night of the surrender.
The fall of Singapore was the final straw that brought about a paradigm shift in foreign policy for the Australian Government.
The strategic alignment away from Britain had been considered since the Japanese naval victory over Russia in 1905. This showed that Japan was potentially a more dominant force in the Pacific region than Britain. It led to Prime Minister Deakin’s invitation to the United States Navy’s ‘Great White Fleet’ to visit Australia in 1908.
However, after the conclusion of the Anglo-Japanese Alliance, which had seen Japan enter the First World War on the side of the Allies, Australian conservative governments in the 1920s and 1930s continued to look to Britain to protect the country against a potential Japanese invasion.
However, the Singapore Strategy’s complete failure and the loss of almost a quarter of Australia’s overseas soldiers at the very start of the Pacific War stunned the country and made consideration of a new foreign policy a priority.
In his new year’s address for 1942 Prime Minister Curtin announced:
“Without any inhibitions of any kind, I make it clear that Australia looks to America, free of any pangs as to our traditional links or kinship with the United Kingdom … we shall exert all our energies towards the shaping of a plan, with the United States as its keystone, which will give our country some confidence of being able to hold out until the tide of battle swings against the enemy.”
This was the beginning of the Australian alliance with the United States – a partnership that continued throughout the Second World War, the Korean War, the Vietnam War and the Cold War, and remains at the heart of both major political parties’ security policies.
Many people who lived through that era throughout SE Asia, forces from Australia and New Zealand; not much is known to the world even now; particularly about N. Zealand and Britain’s alliance in that war and more.
The Japanese Navy demonstrated the vulnerability of New Zealand when submarine-launched Japanese float-planes overflew Wellington and Auckland in 1942. In March a Glen float plane from I-25 overflew Wellington on 8 March and Auckland on 13 March, then Suva, Fiji on 17 March. The submarine was not seen by the Wellington-Nelson ferry when navigating Cook Strait on the surface on a full-moon night. In May a float plane from I-21 overflew Suva on 19 May and then Auckland on 24 May. Lost in heavy fog the pilot Matsumora was helped by airport staff who heard a plane apparently in trouble and a 1930s British biplane turned on the runway lights so allowing the pilot to find his bearings. During one March or May 1942 overflight a Tiger Moth; designed by Geoffrey de Havilland and built by the de Havilland Aircraft Company) (apparently gave chase ineffectually.
As few combat-capable aircraft were available, Britain was unable to help.
Once again … Britain ..
unable to help allies.
The fall of Singapore is widely and always told as “Britain had her guns pointed out to sea while the Japanese just walked into the British fortress through the impenetrable jungle from behind”
Subsequently, New Zealand benefited from the British-United States ‘lend-lease’ agreement. During a gradual process, America supplied New Zealand with aircraft for use in the Pacific Theater.
The UK already has a 100 Year Agreement with the Ukraine, signed right before Biden left office. It includes a critical minerals deal. So the UK should have stepped up already.

Zellenskyy has simply screwed the pooch. He and his faux European “allies” should take the ball and run with it. We should take our aid and keep it home.
“PM Starmer stressed that the US military ‘must’ backstop …”
When was PM Starmer elected Commander In Chief of the US Military ??
UK media is promoting a narrative that Ukr military is holding well and just needs a small measure of help, while Russia’s economy is on the edge of collapse. This will spread to the US.
The point is to pin the blame for collapse of Ukr on TRUMP, when Ukr collapses.
Well, since this is, unfortunately, President Trump’s last term in office, I doubt that he really cares.
…assuming that Ukr isn’t already collapsed.
It pretty much is already collapsed. Losing territory everyday and very few counter attacks. Caldron after caldron.
Fools…all fools….
USA, coalition of the unwilling.
We’ve done more than enough and this Zelenskyy ingrate in charge is disgustingly beyond words!
Britain, the WWII bombings weren’t enough? You want nuclear war? FOOLS!
Yes, they DO want nuclear war.
Out of curiosity I looked at several European news websites and their rhetoric regarding Zelensky and the so-called triumphant gathering of Starmer’s “the Willing” (globalist leaders of their respective EU country) who are having primal palpitations of Zelensky’s supposedly putting POTUS Trump in his place and defending the Ukrainian people in his pursuit of victory over Russia. But then at the end of the festivities and hype, Starmer, with obvious consultation with “the Willing”, comes the caveat – we ain’t gonna do squat without the US military acting as our human shields. All this rhetoric reminds you of a high school pep rally for your team that has zero wins for the season and has come in last every year but some how is going to wipe the field with their next opponent, the perennial state champions. The bottom line, is that given the current state of Europe’s military preparedness, these Euro clowns need to slap themselves in the face and realize that they are antagonizing an opponent that could easily make their part of the world look like a cesspool. It sure seems that the Euro news outlets and our MSM follow the same principles – fantasyland over reality and actions have no consequences. The startling thing is to read the comments section. The Euro commenter makes our usual liberal tertiary TDS type commenter look like a genus. For example, many Euros believe they’re going to punish the US economically for our actions disrespecting them and Zelensky while in the process of winning back Ukraine and turning Russia into a third world nation. Yep, it sounds like an episode of SNL.
Uncle Kier Wants You!
A song from a very famous Brit,
All we are asking,
Is give
peacewar a cha-aa-ance!Hey England! We’re not sending our young men to die for the punk. Churchhill begged FDR to send troops to war. Not this time. Europe can handle it on their own. Have a nice day.
How about we give Z/the EU all the trans military members joe biden’s warmongering DS put together for “military defense” over the past few years…
his/the long DS foreign policy of poking the Russian Bear while staffing our military most recently with the ‘Strength of Our Diversity’ should work out very well because it was such a fundamentally great plan all along, right?.
What could go wrong – it’s a sure-fire success. Their countrymen & CIC give the opportunity to those people to prove themselves, as they insist, ‘strong & diversely superior military members fit for purpose’ and we also satisfy – once & for all – a few controversies.
We’ve “sent our best military fighters”
AND the ‘diverse’ prove their worth & our point all at once.

President P. loves a good troll/own as much as POTUS… he will be happy to go along with it.

In 2019 the Kurds, who had been running insurgencies against Turkey for over a century, determined that their recent success at teaming up with America to wipe out ISIS meant that they were now sufficiently strong and well equipped to take on Turkey in a BIG way. Turkey, for its part, watched as the Kurds ran insurgency operations in Turkey from its base of operation in Syria, and decided to go wipe those upstarts out for good.
Some pointed out that the Kurds were an ally in America’s fight to wipe out ISIS and wanted America to weigh in and support the Kurds against Turkey. Others pointed out that Turkey is part of NATO and there was no way America was going to support an insurgency against a NATO ally.
There was a no-go zone in Syria that separated the Kurds and the Turks. The third position, sold as the “peace” position and taken by many, was for the US to send American troops into the no-go zone to act as a buffer, “peace keepers” to keep the two sides separated.
President Trump said “no” to everyone. His position was that he ran for President on a platform of ending “forever wars.” He would not support the Kurds against a NATO ally. He also would not put American troops between the parties because it would just perpetuate a long standing conflict that didn’t involve the US.
So, Turkey and the Kurds went at it. Turkey quickly discovered that the Kurds were not some rag tag bunch of yahoos. The Kurds were now a battle hardened and highly trained (by the US) modern fighting force. Uh oh.
The Kurds, for their part, discovered that the Turkish army was nothing like the ISIS yahoos, but were a highly trained, well equipped, well organized national army with in tact supply lines and air support. Uh oh.
The whole damned mess lasted all of a couple weeks before both sides had had their fill of the carnage. Everyone retreated behind the no-go lines, and it’s been pretty much quiet ever since with no US troops anywhere near.
Why am I telling this? Ukraine and Russia. Cut off American dollars and materiel to Ukraine and let them go at it. It’s not our fight. Let’s get our nose OUT of it.
Why is this foreign communist committing US troops?
Kinda remember not all that long ago the British people voted to become independent of the EU. Meanwhile the political class use the Ukraine ruse to get the band back together again.
What Average Americans Think of Trump’s Showdown with Zelensky
https://www.thefp.com/p/what-average-americans-think-of-trump-zelensky-showdown
Ya know what will be humorous, if the USA completely pulls away from that whole mess, and europe gets turned into smoking rubble but not a scratch on the USA
In my opinion, Zelenskyy did not sign the rare earths deal, because he decided to hold out for a bigger payoff to leave Ukraine. The rare earth deal probably contained a reasonable amount for Zelenskyy to exit gracefully in the name of peace, but then he decided to play hard to get, demanding a more princely sum. No wonder President Trump and Vice President Vance were affronted. The proper response should be to withdraw the rare earth deal offer.
These idiots would rather put boots on the ground than to let Trump have a win with a brokered peace deal. What a bunch of morons. It’s like 2016 again.
All this is just hotair. Nobody has asked what the Russians think. Idiocy at it’s finest. Bah!
How “strange” that Europe never talked about “peace” until, oh, about the 3rd week of January? 🤡
But, what sort of “peace” is this? Well, it involves “more fighting.” And it SPECIFICALLY(!) calls for “US troops” to be among the fighters. In this way, the pointless bloodbath continues – now with a larger reservoir of young men. Neatly, European countries then “step back.”
It’s a well-worn trap, and Trump should reject it as such. If Europe had wanted to “force peace,” they could have done so anytime. If they had wanted to commit their own military, they could have. (Knowing the consequences.)
None of this happened until … late January last.
Trump knows that the only two actual parties are: the USA, which actually started all of this, and Russia. Who is winning it. Europe will obey, and Ukraine will surrender.
Bad connotations
The Bush administration briefly used “coalition of the willing” to refer to the countries who supported, militarily or politically, the 2003 invasion of Iraq and subsequent military presence in post-invasion Iraq. (Google)
Lol. There are about 19,000 trigger pullers in the entire UK army. They don’t have the manpower to constitute a meaningful battlefield presence in Ukraine and they don’t even have the military industrial or logistical capacity to keep their tiny army in supply in the field in there. Even if they did though, the British public are in absolutely no mood to see their country embroiled in a shooting war with Russia, and certainly in no mood to see large numbers of their young men coming home in body bags.
Our country’s largest law enforcement agency is CBP – which includes navy-blue CBP Officers – and pickle-green Border Patrol Agents.
Together, they total approximately 45-50,000 ‘trigger-pullers’ – more than double the entire British army.
The English Lion 🦁 is old, feeble, and toothless.
It could probably put on a good show for a week.
After that, Goodnight Irene!

NATO has always been a raw deal for the US….
I’ll stick with Trump’s coalition of WINNING, thank you.
trump needs to stay out of it period.any talk of backing the EU and he can kiss any relations with putin goodbye.and i for one would rather deal with putin as the EU.at least putin has stuff to trade, what does the EU have?
They are all snakes – not to be trusted at all. Very disgusting, way to many egos in the room that they’ve lost sight. We Ave to pray them through this mess, God can do miracles and give sight to the blind.
