Following a widely watched assembly of EU leaders, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer announces that Britain will lead a “coalition of the willing” and the U.K. will put boots on the ground and planes in the air to create the “security guarantee” for a potential Russia-Ukraine ceasefire.
The Prime Minister did not specify any other European country who will align and join their military forces on the ground in Ukraine; instead outlining that additional military elements will be rapidly organized. PM Starmer stressed that U.S. military forces “must” backstop the EU military members and implied that Italian PM Meloni will only align with the principal of Italian military use if the USA is involved.
As secretary Rubio mentioned earlier in the day, the Ukraine/EU phrase “security guarantee” is more honestly described as “deterrence” or an insurance policy. Prime Minister Starmer and this EU ‘coalition of the willing’ are only willing to put their military into Ukraine if the USA will be guaranteed to come into the conflict if the ceasefire falls apart. This should not be a part of any reasonable consideration, given the 3rd parties (not Russia) that would intentionally seek to disrupt a ceasefire to suck the USA into battle. WATCH:

None of the other EU nations are willing to publicly say they will put their military into Ukraine, because the EU just doesn’t have a military force capable to deal with the conflict.

If any NeoCons want to fight Russia join the Brutish military, they need troops, and bring your own ammo too. The Brits can only fight 2 weeks of sustained combat like what’s occurring in Ukraine.

As with every conflict in history don’t conflate evil politicians with the general population, one that is now suffocating in propaganda and is punished for any dissenting POV.

I think there will a lot of push back privately in Parliament to Starmer’s stupidity. The British government does not have the funds nor does the British Army have the forces and materiel to pick up the load in supporting that grifter Zelensky.
The Independent [UK newspaper] reported recently that as Starmer talked about sending 30,000 troops, his miltary reponded that they only have 12,000 dispatchable troops, and the paper said that only 25 challenger tanks were immediately functional and ready.
It is 36 months since Putin invaded Ukraine. Britain’s ground forces are as weak or weaker than 36 months ago.
By contrast, 9 months after Hitler invaded Poland, Britain had 435,000 men in France on May 10 1940. It was not enough, but it was a serious effort.
The only serious thing about the UK today is its deliberate impotence.
The exact same thing can be said about France, Britain, Germany and Italy.

NATO has become the very thing it was supposedly designed to prevent. There would be a tough transition after the US leaves NATO but in the long run, this would allow the people of Europe to get the boots off their neck and regain themselves.
Welfare, in all its forms, seems merciful, but in reality creates permanent dependence and entitlement.
NATO, the Marshall Plan, and all other such programs to Europe after WW2 are basically welfare.
