The Office of the Inspector General for the DOJ (DOJ-OIG) has outlined an 88-page report on events around the January 6th, 2021, DC protest. The report is AVAILABLE HERE.
FBI Director Chris Wray announced his decision to resign from office one day before the Inspector General report was released. The report shows that 26 FBI Confidential Human Sources (CHSs) were used officially and unofficially during the J6 events. Four entered the Capitol building, another 13 entered the restricted area around the building.
The report found that no official FBI employees participated in the events, but 26 confidential human sources were used. The media are jumping on the part about no FBI employees being present in order to call those who view the FBI as facilitating and coordinating the events of J6 as “conspiracy theorists.” However, the FBI’s use of CHSs is downplayed and dismissed.
A major topline takeaway from the report in general is how much effort the FBI put into investigating the assembly pre J6. When you read the IG explanation of the CHSs [Page 50 and beyond] you get a really good feel for how the FBI was focused and positioned before the day unfolded.
The FBI was communicating with various field offices about many of the attendees prior to January 6th, yet the IG report outlines a point of failure that the FBI did not debrief more sources before the events of the day. There’s a weird disconnect between those two conflicting points.
We have previously outlined the true mission of the FBI and how it is structurally different from the public perception of their mission. The FBI look out for the interests of the people in the business of DC politics. The FBI are like congressional and administrative agency security officers for the government. If a threat is not a threat to the DC system per se’, it is not considered a threat.
The identified threat to DC in the days post 2020 election was not a protest. The perceived threat they worried about stemmed from a manipulated and stolen election. The FBI resources were already deployed extensively in the period from November to January in an effort to mitigate the risks and exposures. The media narrative around the 2020 election was as manipulative as the fence Pelosi put up to support it after J6.

Since J6 has been compared to 9/11 by our own government, I think a moment of reflection about that infamous day over 23 years ago is in order:
The FBI was trying to stop terrorists from attacking us before 9/11 and were ignored. Remember John O’Neill? There were agents in San Diego that gave Eleanor Hill of the joint Congressional Inquiry access to the 28 pages that Senator Bob Graham fought so hard to get released to the public which resulted in JASTA to help the 9/11 families in 2016. (2016…a year to remember!)
Yet, the FBI was more or less blamed for not connecting the dots even though Mueller had only been on the job for a week! As a result we got the Patriot Act and TSA and Homeland Security and the DNI.
ALL SO THIS WOULD NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN.
But something else happened to the DOJ and the FBI – their primary mission changed from law enforcement to national security under AG John Ashcroft.
What does that have to do with today’s wholesale obfuscation, denials and blatant lies? EVERYTHING!
With the CIA as the lead agency in determining what is and isn’t a national security threat, the FBI is tasked with carrying out THE MISSION in all things domestic, without question.
For sake of example, let’s say Donald Trump’s declaration that Obama was not a US citizen and therefore illegitimate could have placed him on a national security threat list. And then the 2016 presidential race happened. And the IC would not be able to reconcile the obvious conflict. They can never under any circumstances divulge their secret lists of Americans and how they decide who is and isn’t worthy of wholesale surveillance.
But the mission continued.
Illegal FISA warrant on Carter Page to surveil everything Trump by the book …Russia,Russia,Russia! Impeachments, a fraudulent election to fix things, then J6 to seal the deal and snuff out MAGA once and for all. NONE OF IT WORKED. Lawfare replete with a mug shot in Fulton County, GA (for heaven’s sake) and yet, the human version of the road runner outran it all!
So the FBI DARE NOT STEP OUT OF LINE in the National Security march that began post 9/11. And yet, apparently Christopher Wray, for once, dared to act independently and decided like Brandon Straka – to walk away.
No, I can’t be sure of his motives and no matter what they were, I have to believe that he knew the backlash he would get for moving on as Senator Grassley suggested.
I’m in no way excusing the FBI leadership for the horrendous abuse of innocent Americans, but as an analytical thinker who is always asking – Why? – this is my theory for the absolute Idiocracy of the last 8 years.
Maybe Chris Wray finally came to his senses after 7 years of having to carry out a conflict of interest that would never go away.
Director Wray, if you are listening, maybe it’s time to help right the ship you say you love. We’ve all suffered enough.

J6 and 9/11 are the same. Our government is telling the truth for a change. I used to think it was only incompetence by our government in allowing 9/11 to happen. Thanks to the wonderful documentaries on Rumble, I know the truth. Both J6 and 9/11 were planned and executed by our own government. Remember when Cheney would not give the order to shoot down the planes? That’s another story. A plane could not fit in the space that was hit in the Pentagon. Most of the casualties were auditors who were trying to find the missing trillions. It looked like 9/11 was a many pronged success to the government.
They were banking on the Colonel Jessup line, but I think we might be able to handle the truth after all these years of lies.
