However, that perspective belies the nature of how the media is used in war by Dept of State and intelligence officials. The details of the Times article were attributed to “three U.S. officials,” and should be looked upon as purposeful for the intent of provocation.

US media seems to be satisfied with using anecdotal reporting instead of their own war correspondents. Meanwhile, the internet is full of battle videos from both sides; many real, some faked. One recently circulated of three Russians running from a killer drone. The drone attacked the middle soldier and severely wounded him. He asked the third soldier to administer the coup de grâce which he did and kept on running.
The Viet Nam war was on our TV news every night until we got sick of it and gave our leaders a scare.
I watched that video. If I remember correctly, the middle soldier that got droned appeared to have a limp and was not carrying a weapon. The soldiers in front and back were carrying weapons, and please notice that that those 2 soldiers are not alarmed or scanning the skies for more drones.
Leads me to believe the middle soldier was a POW and being lead back from the front lines. The drones are programed to kill the enemy, either soldiers or vehicles as each drone is programed for a specific purpose. That’s why the front and back soldiers were not alarmed because they were protected from their own drones but the middle soldier wasn’t.

Trump reversed what he could, and we saw a beginning restoration of prosperity, return of our industrial base, return of U.S capital deployed abroad and then “poof” Biden building the old model from “the middle out and the bottom up”…except it was imposed from the top down.
The decline of US industry started accelerating in the 1980’s, following the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and subsequent “affirmative action” programs forcing racial quotas in all areas, the precursors to DIE.
(And forcing children to attend horribly bad K-12 schools and putting incorrigible illiterate students in formerly good schools with the forced busing, remember?)
Some observers see no return path now, as DIE has metastasized to Stage Four terminal condition. The pipeline of science and engineering, academia, is thoroughly corrupted and degraded now.

The regime remains in power through the use of the SBU (essentially their CIA/FBI) and AZOV units (essentially their SS units). We have been defeated by the American education system. I lived in Ocean County from October 2020 until March 2024. I never heard of Lucas Gage but after living in California for 43 years we found Ocean County to be the opposite of what you describe.
We moved to New Jersey to be closer to our grandkids and chose Ocean County because it is the most conservative County in that state.
