“Has eaten up time and resources” – The normal legal processes n the USA consume a lot of time because the defendant deserves enough time to kno the charges, the evidence, and prepare a defense strategy for trial if the case gets that far. Pretrial motions are often a part of the process and those take time to file and respond.
“Given the media plenty to propagandize” – The MSM will ALWAYS propagandize regardless of the facts in order to try to shape pubic perception to align with the Left’s narrative. They have been doing this long before “Lawfare” appeared.
“Has damaged the reputation of President Trump in some eyes” – There will always be “some” who are fooled by the Left’s propaganda into believing lies about Trump or any conservative. This has been true since long before Lawfare.
“Will probably get a guilty verdict somewhere that may well land President Trump in jail” – Too many judges (& lawyers) are corrupt as hell and have been since long before the emergence of Lawfare. Juries can be infiltrated with covert influencers and have been in the long past. Current juries are being lied to and denied all the evidence by corrupt judges. These dirty tactics have existed in this country since the mafia came here; since Tammany Hall.
But this is why there is an appeal process which PDJT’s lawyers will definitely use for any “guilty” verdicts.

Let’s see what the jury does in the NYC Hush Money trial. Yes, all the legal analysts say the case is non-existent. No evidence of any crime. Pure BS. But the jury is comprised of 11 registered Democrats. 10 of the 12 admit to having voted for Biden in 2020. None voted for Trump. It is possible that they vote to convict because deep down even if they know the prosecution didn’t prove any crime by Trump they all know they don’t want him to be president. So by voting to convict they may be able to end his chance of being elected. They also know the judge was so obviously biased against Trump that the verdict will be tossed and Trump will be out of prison in a year. But that will be after the election is over and he loses. I’m scared this is a definite possibility.
FLASHBACK: Merrick Garland said that he “personally approved” the raid on Mar-a-Lago which we now learned included the ability for the FBI to shoot to kill.
Keep in mind that the authorization for deadly force was to obtain the documents and evidence listed in the search warrant and NOT an authorization for justifiable self defense which needed no authorization whatsoever.

His message was, paraphrasing: the science is settled on climate change. We know that fossil fuel generation is a major part of the problem. The oil companies have known this for 50 years. They have systematically lied to us all for greed and profit. The time has arrived to hold them accountable (i.e., implied executive and congressional action).
Yes the science is settled on climate change. He then links the settled part without overtly stating so to fossil fuel components – a matter that is not settled in the science community. The fossil fuel part of the argument in respect to importance and mechanism is one that is hotly debated in the science community.
Oil, of course, has a history that reaches back into the 1800s. It also has many co-products/by-products that society has benefitted from immensely. Oil derived energy was a prime mover in the evolution of modern society.
Oil and associated technologies also have external diseconomies. Where these are signifiant society does have a duty to economically and intelligently phase in technical solutions that maintain/enhance value while reducing diseconomies.
But this is not what Raskin is after. It’s the usual head fake. He wants victims and culprits. He wants punishment. He wants more emotional (let’s face it, hatred driven) decision-making. He wants to distract from the real problems (e.g., border control, escalating wars, out of control debt to GDP) that truly have immediacy. And he’s willing to lie to get what he’s after. He knows full well that CAPEX in the O&G industry has been in a precipitous decline for a decade and a half; he knows O&G companies have largely fallen for the DEI shibboleth; he knows O&G companies have been investing in alternatives.
He is an exemplar of what must be overcome. He’s willing to obfuscate or outright lie to realize his goals.
He is anything but stupid. He is the paradigm for what society is going to have to dispose before it can press ahead to constructive outcomes.
